Adam listened very carefully. Could a different magic school work differently than Hogwarts, he never really gave it much thought. After considering it for a few moments, he nodded his head and went down to writing.

Dear Alex,

I was only wondering, being that I never went to Durmstrang, if you could give me a little example of how Durmstang works? What sets it apart from Hogwarts, the school your parents didn't want you to go...Are all magical family blood allowed or not?

Adam was done and passed the flimsy note now covered in ink to Kurumi to read over. She was his letter editor and advice giver.

Giving the letter a quick but thoughtful glance, Kurumi nodded and handed it back to Adam. "It sounds innocent enough to me," she smiled. "I don't think he can really get upset about asking the questions you did. You are just being curious afterall."

She passed the note back to Adam. "What are you going to do during the summer holidays? Are you going to keep writing Alex?" How was he going to do things properly without her advice?!

"Alright we can send it off with a different owl tomorrow, it's late and I'm tired.
I am not going to do anything out of the ordinary, go to the movies, hang out with Hogwarts friends, probably just you, Ed and Fee, cause trouble downtown...Why? Wanna come over and visit for a week or two?"He had just realized school would be over in about 3-4 weeks, not much time to keep hanging out with all his friends, but luckily, he'd be away from all the drama.

"I was more thinking how are you going to write these insightful letters to Alex without my help," she teased. "And I'd love to visit."

"Oh I ugh,haven't even given that thought.Thing is I'd like to know this guy more obviously he has a reason for capturing my parents and talking with me,but I don't want to give my house adress ,and coming to Hogwarts to receive a letter every week is time consuming."Adam answered scratching his hair.

Kurumi couldn't help but giggle. Did Adam really still think that this guy had captured his parents? If that was the case, didn't it mean that Alex already had his home address? Kurumi decided to not bring these rather obvious, to her, details to the surface and decided it best to just change subjects. "Well, I am sure we can think of something or just take a break from all the detective work until the new term starts."

Rex looks up from pillow. No one cares about him in here right now. Hopefully a freind of his comes in and talks to him. Whare are all his friends? Others really do not care.

Adam nodded at Kurumi's suggestion, then got off the couch and saw Rex resting his head on a pillow. He looked rather glum- which was not him, so Adam thought something was up. "Hey Rex, you alright? You look pretty down?"He said, taking a seat right next to the 16 year old lion.

" Yes, I am not in an upbeat mood" Rex told Alex. "Daisy wants to take a brwak from our relationship" Rex said to Alex. "She told me it is not a break-up but it is hard nonetheless" Rex explained to Alex.
OOC: The girl who plays Daisy ia busy with school work and theatre work from Nov. to Jan.

"I'm sorry, mate but you'll get through it. Trust me, I'll hang out with you and Fee as much as you need, because we are all here for you. Is there a reason why she needs a break from you?"Adam wondered, Rex hadn't discussed the reasons as to why Rex and his girlfriend will not see each other.

" Thanks for hanging out with me Adam " Rex told him. " i really appreciate it" Rex said to Adam. "Well, maybe Daisy and I get too close too fast" Rex explained to Adam.

Smiling to himself Joshua made his way out the dormitory down to the common room. This place was his favourite among all the places in Hogwarts. He did not know why but he did not care anyway. It was just that he loved the place. And since the end of the term was approaching the boy decided to spend more time in this warm place where he lived with his friends. If only Evelyn could step in this common room, too. If she had been here it would be just perfect. What were Slytherins doing in a cold dungeon anyway? He was sure that this place was way better.

Anyway...

Choosing a seat before the fireplace, the Gryffindor boy began to play with the miniature snitch he had wondering where Simon and Viky could be since they were not in the common room. Where could they be?

Hmmm

Coming back from the library, his bag laden with books, Simon stepped through the portrait hole into the common room. Glancing around for a spot to study since he needed a change of venue, he spotted his best friend sitting back by the fireplace relaxing.

"I hope by the fact that you're playing it means you've done at least some studying today and just taking a small break," he mused taking a seat in another chair close to the other Gryffindor. The 5th year placing his bag at his feet and feeling the difference in weight now that his shoulder was free of it.

Viky slipped through the portrait hole and made straight for the fire, where Simon and Josh were sitting. The two were taking up the only two armchairs, so she perched on the arm of Simon's instead, giving him a kiss on the cheek and dumping her book-filled satchel on the floor by the chair leg. That thing was so heavy! And of course she had all of her revision for her OWLs in there too. Eeeek. OWLs. Big scary exams.

'Hey there you two,' she said with a smile, and looked over at Josh, playing with his snitch. 'I take it you got bored of revision?' she said, grinning. She was having a break herself, so that was okay.

Simon looked to his side as Viky joined them sitting up top the arm of the chair he was seated in. "Hey," he greeted back with a smile, the gesture brighting just a little as she leaned in and kissed his cheek. He had to admit that her presence always seemed to brighten his mood and the Gryffindor boy honestly didn't know what it would have been like this year without her joining his and Josh's little band.

"Change of scenery for me..." Simon mused with a chuckle. "Staring at shelves filled with books not providing a nice backdrop to starring at open books."

Viky smiled and leant back against the chair. It felt nice to relax for a bit and not study. She'd done the CoMC exam now though, so that was one to cross off her revision list. She wasn't too sure hpw she'd done... anyway. She wasn't going to think about exams now. 'How are you two then?' she asked, looking at her two friends. Well, friend and boyfriend.

'Me too, but eventually I got tired of the Library and Mrs. Donovan,' Viky said with a grin. She'd been spending far too much time in the library these days. Maybe she should study in the Common Room?

The Gryffindor threw the snitch up then caught it with a quick move and did this repeatedly until he heard someone climb out of the portrait hole. With curious eyes the boy looked back to see who was that and a huge smile appeared on his face when he saw his friend carrying a seemingly heavy bag. And what was he saying? Studying? Bahahahahaa!

Laughing Josh shoke his head and threw the snitch up again the little gleaming ball opening its thin wings and flying around the boy's head. ''By all means'' he said but unable to hold more of his laughter he quickly added ''Of course not. And why does that break have to be a small one?'' He liked taking huge breaks between..well...nothing since he rarely studied.

The boy was about to catch the snitch again yet his gaze moved away from it when someone else appeared in the common room: Viky. Then his question was answered. His friends were both in common room now. Coolness. ''Hey Viky'' he said cheerfully ''Revision?'' Hahahahaha ''You OWL guys are crazy. I did not know those exams had bad side effects like making you halucinate that i could really be studying''. And the boy's grin got wider when Viky kissed Si this reminding him of more jokes to tell about it.

Buuut condsidering that Evelyn did the same too, he decided against it. Sooo ''I am fine'' he answered the girl's question ignoring the part about the library. Josh did not like the library. It was full of books and he was allergic to textbooks. Then the snitch reminding itself to the boy by flying over his head again, the boy caught it with another quick move and looked at his friends ''Hey Prince and Princess OWLs, i think maybe i should try the seeker position for the team next year instead of the chaser, what do you think'' They needed to speak about something other than the classes and studying, did not they?

Simon held back the urge to roll his eyes at his friend as Josh questioned the need to study especially when he laughed and teased his 5th year compatriots. "Because my dear friend, while Viky and I have OWLS, you still have finals to study for and do for our classes," he answered shaking his head at his friend. He exchanged a look with his girlfriend. "I'm good all things considered," he commented knowing the tests were even making him the bookworm of the group nervous.

He did however roll his eyes at the titles they were given, looking back at his friend as he questioned them about his role in quidditch. "I don't know," he mused watching him catch the snitch. "Are you fast enough and willing to practice hard enough over the summer to make the tryouts and beat the other students going for it?" he questioned, almost as if challenging his willingness to work hard for something since he wouldn't do it for his work.

'Riiiiight. So, just don't come crying to us if you fail your finals, then,' Viky said with a smirk. She had no doubt that he'd pass anyway, but it was fun to tease. And besides, he'd have to do at least a small amount of revision next year, right? She laughed as his eyes widened, wondering if Simon had actually told Josh they were dating yet. She didn't think she'd told him....

'That's good then,' Viky said with a smile. She noticed how he didn't respond to her comment about the library, but didn't make anything of it. The library probably wasn't one of his favourite places in the castle, at any rate. She snorted at the titles he gave them, and rolled her eyes. 'Prince and Princess? Really?' she said 'Hmmph. I would've preferred to be Queen,' she joked. Anyways, what was he actually talking about now? Oh, Quidditch. 'Seeker? Sure, why not. You could always try out, anyway. It wouldn't do any harm,' she said with a smile.

Viky nodded in agreement as Simon spoke. Although, she supposed finals weren't quite as important as OWLs. Still, one wouldn't want to fail them. 'Tests making you nervous?' she asked Simon, grinning. He was such a bookworm, she knew he'd pass them.

"What she said," Simon remarked with a chuckle, a rule he tended to keep his friend to. You can do what you want about your work but don't complain to him or beg him to do stuff for you. Granted he would help you...that was just what he would do as a friend or even just a housemate, but he was not in any means one to cheat for you.

"Hmmm Queen Viky..." Simon mused with a hand to his chin playing off her teasing comment of prefering the higher ranking title. He could imagine the woman beside her in the role and she did share a first name with a former queen of England even if the spelling was different. "As long as you're a benevolent ruler I can deal with that," he added with a smile, dropping his hand to move his arm around his girlfriend.

"Just a little," he admitted but then that was common with him. Stressing a little about them even when he knew the material. "What about you?"

'Sure, I'll be benevolent,' Viky said with a smile. Whatever that meant. It was something to do with kind, right? Probably not, anyway, but hey. But being a Queen would be fuuun! 'Who knows, maybe you'll end up being King,' she said to Simon with a smirk as he put his arm around her. Awww. She slid off the arm and into the chair, pushing him over a little. The chair was pretty big, so neither of them was squished or anything. And it was more confortable.

'Me too,' she admitted with a little grimace. She hated exams! They were so horrible and scary. And even if she studied like mad, everytime she sat down at the desk with paper in front of her, all her knowledge seemed to disappear. 'But I've done Potions, Care of Magical Creatures, and Herbology. What about you, have you done any yet?'

''Finals?'' Josh repeated with a blank expression as if it was the first time that he had heard this word. Then he kept blinking at his friends as Viky spoke and the next moment he started laughing again. ''Not to worry guys. My finals will be okay. They can be done without studying and i aim to show this to everyone'' Especially Evelyn since being the ambitious Slytherin, she studied excessively just like Si did.

Then he smirked when Viky said she wanted to be the queen and this then, as she said, made Simon the king? Then those two were...dating? Well done Joshua Carter you are genious *enter sarcasm* Looking from Si to Viky then Viky to Si he wondered if they were going to kiss, it would be weird to watch.

Whatever....

Back to Quidditch he was happy with his chaser position, sometimes he played beater too but somehow he was feeling the urge to try something new like the seeker position. And what his friends thought about it made the boy chuckle again, especially what Simon said. ''Come on! Of course i am fast'' he threw the snitch up and caught it again ''I dont need to practice much to beat others if i want a position. I am the master, have you forgotten that? If i want something, i get it. That's the rule''

And the boy continued playing with the snitch as his friends started to talk about the tests and classes...again. Pfft. So Josh failed to keep their attention on a different subject. What could he do? Ahaa!

Pretending to be strangled the Gryffindor boy suddenly threw the snitch away and put a hand on his neck ''I CAN'T BREATHE! I CAN'T BREATHE!'' he yelled and threw himself on the floor before the fireplace ''I CAN'T BREATHE!''

"Alright then if you're so sure of that I can't exactly force you to study" Simon said with a shrug of his arm not around Viky. He shifted over a little in the chair to give Viky more room beside him on the chair since there was enough room for them both. At her question, his gaze looked away as he tried to remember what ones he had completed.

"Charms...Divination...and Potions too," he answered mentally checking them off on his list unaware of Josh's antics till a flash of gold headed his way.

Simon caught the snitch as if on instinct, bringing his attention back to Josh as the boy fell to the floor. He got up and moved to rescue his friend but instead swatted him playfully with a pillow he had taken from the back of the chair.

"If you couldn't breathe, you couldn't yell," he remarked holding out a hand to help his best friend up showing he wasn't upset with Josh's trick to get their attention.
