Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Gobbledygook!" Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes! That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! |
Adam was sitting on one of the red and gold covered couches. Finally he could relax, and not worry about Katie finding him here. Unless, she waited for him right outside the door, now that would be weird. He passed out for a few mintues. A serenity.It was awesome. Tomorrow another busy day. |
Sophia walked into the common room for the first time and saw a fellow Gryffindor. She walked over to him and sat down next to him "Hi there!" she said, in a thick Italian accent. "I am Sophia Lombardi! What is your name?" she asked. She was so exctied for school to start. |

Carter burst through the door to the common room... well... at least he tried doing that. It was kind of hard to 'bust in' when entering through a hole in the wall. "Home sweet home." he said happily. He ran toward the fireplace and dove right into his favorite chair. It was good to be back. |

Anna said the pass word as instructed. She looked around she could get used to this. Anna found a comfortable couch and lounged back on it and looked at the ceiling. This'd be fun fun fun. Getting around the school wasn't easy though. She'd have to follow some of the uppers to get from class to class. She looked around the room. People were starting to file in now. Groggy and filled to the brim with the food from the feast. She knew how they felt. And it felt goood. She leaned back and closed her eyes with a smile to try and remember this moment her first time in the Gyfindor common room. Her home for the next few months of her life. |

"Actually, I still live in Italy." she said. "I fly home for summer, and I come here for school." she said. "It is a very long way from home." she said, with a sigh. "So, where are both of you from?" she asked. "I am actually from a small town called Venice. It is also known as the City on the Water." she said. "It is all built on a river. No roads." she said, smiling. |
Oh, wow. 'Gobbledygook' Viktoriya whispered to the portrait, and it swung open before her, showing her the room that was to be... well, her home for the next year. It was... red. Very, very red. That was her first thought. The second was Wow. That's one big fire. And indeed it was - it covered the whole wall! It was huge! Once she had gotten over the fireplace, Viktoriya moved on to the rest of the room. Settling down in a comfy-looking armchair by the fire, she looked around eagerly. This place, it was amazing. She hadn't even seen her room yet and she loved it! The only thing that would make this better was some friends. The only people Viktoriya had met from Gryffindor were Simon and Josh, and they had vanished. Every person in the Common Room was a firstie. Sigh.... perhaps some older students would come in later? She certainly hoped so... |

Another year in this great school," he mused to himself as his eyes passed over the common room. The boy moving away from the opening for others to pass by. His gaze caught sight of the girl from the feast and he slowly walked over towards where she was seated. "I see you made it up here alright..." he mused with a smile. |

She saw Kurumi's hair turn bright pink. "Oh my!" Sophia exlamied. "You are a metamorphogus!" she exclaimed again. "That is awesome!" She turned towards Adam and asked "Have you ever heard of Venice?" she asked. |
Brant ran into the gryffindor commonroom, it was so great to be home. Looking around checking out his old nap places after long homework sessions. He spotted his favorite chair and he went over to plop in it. "Ahhhh" he said while starting to relax on a full stomach. |

After finally finding the common room after getting lost more than once, Meredith entered. Oh wow, she thought, it was even better than meredith pictured!! Meredith knew she was going to have a good year at hogwarts. Meredith went and sat down on an armchair. She looked around and saw that she didn't know any of the people in the common room yet, so she started reading her favorite book. |
