Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Gobbledygook!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! | |

"It has been odd trying to meet knew people, because you come here knowing like no one." she said. "But, I think I am adjusting to it too. Slowly, but surely." she said, smiling.
Her mouth fell open when she heard his news. "Oh my gosh! Congrats!" she said, smiling. "That is amazing!" she said. Once again, wanting to hug him. "That is so cool!" she exclaimed. She snuggled under the blanket some more and scooted just a tad closer. "I am going to have to owl my mom. I need a nice, soft blanket." she said, smiling.

Edmond thought about her question. What was the deal between Gryffindor and Slytherin? He's heard his family members say various things, but he wasn't sure if they were true. "Well, yeah they were real people. You see, there were two witches and two wizards that founded Hogwarts. The two wizards were Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin and they had different views of the wizarding world." he didn't feel the need to describe Helga Huflepuff or Rowena Ravenclaw, "Salazar believed in pureblood supremacy and Grodric in unity between all magical people." he paused, thinking of how to phrase everything in a way he wouldn't hurt people's feelings. I met them all at Jason's castle" Rex said to Rubiey.
" Arithromancy is one of, if not my hardest class, but I like Charms and Divination the best" Rex told Rubiey. "Cheers to you, too" Rex smiled back at Rubiey.

"That's neat that you're staying with her over the holidays too. I'm not too sure what I am going to be doing." At the moment going home didn't really seem like something Alice wanted to do.

Kurumi nodded as she listen to both of them explain where the rivalry had started. It sounded like it took place centuries ago...so why were people still keeping up such a ridiculous tradition? "Thanks and you explained yourself perfectly, Edmond," she said flashing him a smile. "I don't get why people are still keeping up the rivalry now...it's been centuries since the founders founded Hogwarts...Didn't a lot of the animosity go away after Harry Potter defeated the guy whose name starts with a V?" She wasn't very good at remembering all these magical names.

"Nah, I hate it here too." She winked her dark blue eyes at him. "I knoooooow! It's like katrillion times better than my old boarding school. But then again, that wasn't magical." She grinned. NOO, definately not magical.

She felt bad that it was only the first week of classes and the girl had already been to the hospital wing. Alice planned to avoid the place if she could, unless of course she had one of her random anxiety attacks. Alice had started having them when she was five and found they didn't come with a particular rhyme or reason. One minute she would be fine and then the room would start shaking and the next thing she knew she'd be out cold. She hadn't had one in a month or so, which meant she was long overdue for one. She sighed. Perhaps it was a muggle world thing? "I hear you're allowed to stay over the holidays right? I mean, I figure I'll go home to at least spend the holidays with my dad."
Alice leaned closer so no one else could hear. "Did you get a chance to ask the Care of Magical Creatures Professor about your owl?"
