It was such a nice day outside, the weather was mild, not quite warm but not cold either. Just the way Seren liked it. Unfortunately the lesson wasn’t being held outdoors, no, it was being held in Greenhouse One, where the air was cooler, and the smell of damp soil filled the air.
As you enter the greenhouse the first thing you notice are the stools arranged to the side of the greenhouse by the door, and directly opposite these are stools of a different variety. That’s right, toadstools! While they may look harmless from a distance it’s not wise to get too close to them just yet, after all you wouldn’t want to be sent to the Hospital Wing before the lesson has even started.
Waiting patiently for the students to arrive, Professor Bentley stood by the door to welcome them as they entered; Though she was careful to position herself near the seating area so that she can keep an eye on any mischief making. Standing slightly to the side of the toadstools, was Professor Bentley’s old blackboard, neat and tidy cursive writing slowly appearing on its surface- as if by magic!

Tori went in for her third toadstool cap, her wand in hand this time. She was chanting, 'Stupefy, Stupefy, Stupefy,' in her head the entire time she twisted the toadstool cap off, and even as she darted away from the mushroom without a single pixie attacking her.
Ha! Take that! Tori smirked as she deposited her final toadstool in the box. It seemed some students were not as lucky, however...

Tori almost burst into giggles at the sound of one girl who had lost her wand. "No worries," she called over to the girl, heading in pursuit of the pixie. "STUPEFY!"
Tori was pleased as a muffin when she saw the pixie with the wand fall to the floor, successfully stunned. "Here ya go," she said to the girl brightly, handing her back her wand. "Tricky little buggers, aren't they?"

And last but not least, toadstool number three. Maddy picked it up and oh no here comes another pixie. "Stupify!" She yelled confidently, It worked! Yes, finally she was able to stun her apponants. Now, onto the mushroom. She twisted the minty cap and it tore off easily, walking over to the box she stepped on something round. She looked down and... IT WAS HER WAND! "Hey Eino I found it!"

Ok Minerva thought. Pixies sounded horrible. She hoped she wouldn't see any. She turned to take her first cap. She twisted and pulled. It came out pretty easy. Once she got the first cap in the box she turned to do the next one. All of the sudden she felt pulling of her hair and a force moving her backwards. PIXIES.. OH NO.. "HARVEY HELP!!! What is the spell again.. Help me!!"
"Pixies don't like us at all." Louisa scoffed as the girl introduced herself and... did she just bow? "Hey Harlow. I'm Louisa." She smiled at both of the younger girls.
Watching Harlow getting her cap Louisa went to another creature and followed the steps again getting the cap off...
..or not. Instead of getting only the cap, the whole plant was yanked from the ground. Louisa threw it away quickly, in case it was a biting type or something, "What the-" She'd yelled before swallowing and trying to return her oh-so-careless attitude. Eying the loose creature Louisa was sure that it wasn't a very good idea to stand and stare at it in case a pixie came and-
..her assumption was right. A pixie flew down to the loose plant and froze near the fallen plant. Louisa wanted to roll eyes at the stupid pixie who was either mourning her beloved plant or considering eating it.
Or worse - attacking Louisa. The Ravenclaw started backing away and pointing her wand at the pixie, "Immobulus! Immobulus! Immob-" And the pixie froze in place. Phew. That was close.
She smiled at the girl, "Hullo Louisa." She gave the girl one more nod before headed off to grab her next cap.
A pixie tried to dive bomb her and she dove under a table before it could grab her. She stuck her tongue out at it as it flew off to find its next victim. Once Harlow saw it was safe she crawled from under the bench and went to grab her next cap.
She went back to her bench and snagged another toadstool. She expertly twisted off the cap and set it aside to grab another one.

It grabbed his heel and tripped him, but Eino quickly turned around and fell on his bottom so the cap was safe. He pointed his wand at the pixie, cast the freezing charm, but missed and the pixie began to revolve around him giggling and mocking him.
Eino stood up and made run for the box again and he held the cap safely against his chest with his left hand and his wand ready with his right hand. Once again the pixie came face to face with him, he cast the charm a second time, and missed, but cleared the way so he continued to run. The pixie was following closely behind when Eino halted suddenly, causing the pixie to fly right into his back. The creature was too light to knock him over, but having hit him, the pixie was now on the ground, recovering. One last time Eino pointed his wand and exclaimed, "Immobulus!" Hit! The pixie was frozen and Eino made a safe return to the box, where he placed the third cap. Phew, done!
Just as she was on her way to the box, Maddy stepped on something round, It was her wand! She walked over to the box saw Eino was there, " Hey Eino I found it" She said and held it up so he could see the evidence.

Right, so one cap down, two to go. she muttered to her self as she re-holstered her wand, and moved to her next victim plant. Placing her hand on the cap with the hand the wand was strapped to, Em felt something bite her finger. Pulling her hand away, she shook it and hollered "Get off me!" Grabbing the creature with her free hand, she upholstered her wand stunned the creature. Setting him down, she reached for the plant again, but suddenly, the pixie from earlier had come around, and had grabbed two tiny handfuls of her hair and were pulling hard "HELP!" was all she could get out as she started waving her hands around trying to get the thing out of her hair.

"I'm fine, but those things are horrible. I really need to finish this activity though." Minerva went back to do her second cap. She twisted the next one. Nate grumbled, but understood. He was peeved, though, as he now had a pixie in his eye and had lost Ravenclaw 5 whole points! He decided to go back to his work. After all, the sooner he could get out of this greenhouse the sooner he would be, well, out of the greenhouse. He flicked the pixie from his eye with his wand, and then shouted "Stupefy!" as it flew back towards him. Before the stunned pixie had even hit the ground, Nate had strode over to another toadstool and torn off the cap, perhaps a bit too violently, but alas there was no damage done to the cap. One more to go! he thought

Ok time to finish this up. Minerva thought. She kept her head down dodging as many pixies as she could. She reached for the last cap twisting and pulling until the last and final cap was out. She hurried over to the box and placed the cap in. Sh e looked to see if Harvey was finished when something grabbed her ear. "OUCH, OUCH.. Get off of me!!!"

Nate grumbled, but understood. He was peeved, though, as he now had a pixie in his eye and had lost Ravenclaw 5 whole points! He decided to go back to his work. Pixies attacked like a swarm of hungry vashta nerada. Knowing full well that he may lose points, but wanting desperately to leave, Nate pointed his wand through the cloud at the nearest toadstool (there was nobody in between it and him besides the pixies) and quietly said "Accio Toadstool", hoping that Professor Bentley hadn't noticed. The toadstool hit him in the stomach, and he caught it before it could fall to the floor. Right, matter of safety... he thought, remembering his loss of points only a few minutes ago. He closed his eyes and mouth tight and twisted off his final cap. He was finally done! The pixies, unfortunately, did not seem to think so, and continued pulling at his hair, plunging into his nose, and scratching at his face. Nate pointed his wand at the pixies on his face, and he was very careful to do this, so as to not stun himself. "Stupefy!" he yelled, and about three pixies were frozen.
He did this again and again until he could see. Nate retrieved his other caps, made to the front of the greenhouse, dumped the caps in the box, and ran from the greenhouse, swatting away at the remaining pixies on his face.

Oh no. Tori saw a young Hufflepuff falling victim to the very same treatment she had received from the pixies moments ago.
"STUPEFY! STUPEFY!" Tori cast, hurrying over to help the Duffer Puffer out. She detached the pixies' claw-like fingers from the girl's hair and gave her a pat on the head. "There you are, dear. Better?"

"Gah!" the pixies started to attack her, now. "STUPEFY!" she said, closing her eyes and flinching. Why were these pixies meaner than hers.
She opened an eye. One less pixie. "Ame, use stupefy," she called, calmer now, almost curious. She stared a pixie currently attempting to drag her by her hair, "Stupefy." she said. The fairy froze and dropped as Sarah watched in child-like wonder. Interesting.
Stupefy, stupefy stupefy.
Nasty little buggers. They deserved to be driven to the ground. Sarah stared down at the fallen pixies, she blinked, then looked up at Amethyst. "Well..."
Amethyst looked at to the pixies puling at her leg, trying to bring her down. "Stupefy!" She watched the pixie fall, letting go of her legs. "Well that was easy!" She dusted herself off. "Thanks Sarah!"
She spoke too soon. A pack of 3 more pixies charged at her. She gasps and closed her eyes, wand pointed at them all. "Immobulus!"Plop. All three fell onto the floor and she twisted the cap off gently smiling.
She giggled softly as she dropped the next to last cap into the box. Two down. One to go.

She only needed one more cap. And as she reached for her last toadstool something landed in her hair.
She shrieked and started hopping around. "Get off me!" she yelled trying to swat at the pixie. It yanked back hard on her hair and she stumbled. "That's not nice!" she yelled at it as her eyes rolled around in her head at the hard yank.
She swatted again and knocked the pixie aside. "Serves you right." she told the pixie.
SHe gave it one las piercing look before setting off to grab her last cap. Harlow grabbed her last toadstool and quickly twisted off the cap. She gathered up all of her caps and dropped them into the box Professor Bentley had set up.

Quickly reaching down to the toadstool she twisted off the cap as fast as she could.

Amethyst sighed softly. Boy as this a work out. She approached the final and most guarded 'stool. "Here we go.." She said softly to herself. She was ready. Wand in hand, hands cover in dragon hide gloves, she walked fast.
Five small pixies darted toward her. She managed to duck from the first three. "Immobulus!" She said, pointing to the two stranglers. She smiled to herself, turning around fast.
She quickly, but carefully twisted the cap off and held it close. "Come and get me." She encouraged the pixies. "Stupefy!" In the blind of an eye, the pixies were no longer trying to hurt her.
Good job, Ame. She walked fast over to the box and gently placed the cap into the box. "Okay...-pant-...I'm done.."

Watching the multitudes of pixies now on alert that one of their own was immobilized, Ivory sighed a few strands of flyaway hair drifting out of her eyes.
They completely surrounded the small mushrooms. Moving closer her eyes determined, Ivory reached out once more.
"Come on little pixies. I just need two caps. Just two more. And then I'll be out of your hai-" Ironically, it was right at that moment that one of the pixies in question flew straight at her face. Giving a tiny very unlike her shriek of surprise, she held still helpless as the small figure tangled in her hair pulling here and there and yanking it with its little fists.
"Ooooh." Beginning to get exasperated, she aimed her wand but stopped at the last moment. She had no idea if she could aim without looking, what if she hit someone else. Merlin, what if she immobilized herself. Was that even possible?
Not in the mood to find out, it turned out she didn't have to. The female prefect gave a small yelp as the little devils slipped forward to dangle in front of her face, swinging like some sort of monkey on a vine. Eyes narrowing, Ivory acted quickly. If it was right in front of her face, she could aim. "Immobulus!" With a triumphant gleam in her eyes she watched the little figure seize up, frozen. Immobilized while swinging from her hair!!
Unable to believe her horrid luck, she holstered her wand for a moment and reached forward. Cupping the frozen creature in her palms she pulled and tugged and maneuvered but it seemed the only way the creature would be letting go of her hair would be if she ended the spell. And she wasn't quite ready to do that yet seeing as there were still a multitude of them flying around.
Placing the immbolized pixie on the top of her head for now, she fished a headband out of her pocket and quickly put it on, situating the little creatures legs under the fabric. Unbeknownst to her, it looked for all the world as if the little pixie was going for a ride with her hair clutched in his little hands like reins and the gleeful grin frozen on his face well it was quite sight.
But Ivory wasn't thinking of that now, she was thinking on the toadstool she was currently twisting the top of off. Holding the cap carefully in her hand she added it to the cardboard box and placed her hands on her hips as she over looked the infested bed. One more to go.

Placing the most recent cap with the first, she smiled over at the girl that had rescued her. "I'm Emmaleigh, by the way." She glanced back at her remaining toadstool, and gripped her wand tightly "Do you mind watching my back as I get my last one?" she asked.

Immobilized blue pixie still riding around on the top of her head, the female prefect approached the beds cautiously this time noticing the little creatures seemingly devoid of mischief at a safe distance.
Pausing where she was, she eyed the parasols and then the pixies and then back again. Feeling like a muggle spectator at a tennis game, Ivory's eyes darted back and forth wondering if it was a ploy to give her a sense of false security.
Biting her lip, wand at the ready she moved closer ever so cautiously.
Half a meter, just a few more decimeters, centimeters!
Still holding a defensive stance as she stretched out her hand as far as she could go while still being in position to spring up and back at a moments notice, Ivory struggled. [i]Just a little moooooore.[/b]
The tips of her fingers brushed the parasol, and in a moment of satisfaction she looked toward her hand just as she was about to close her palm over the cap when-
The drove of pixies attacked, in a flying V formation.
Eyes wide, Ivory scrambled backwards already sending a few nonverbal immobilizers their way. Golly, there were soo many. Her deadly accurate aim stunned more than a few pixies midflight but that did absolutely nothing to deter the numerous others rising up from their hiding places among the mushrooms.
With only a split second of thought, the female prefect dove forward hands outstretched to catch the falling stunned pixie bodies, angling her body at the last second to not squash any mushrooms. Even when she was exasperated she couldn't just let their little bodies fall straight to the floor. They had feelings and little bones too.
But apparently what they didn't have were any qualms with sustaining their mischief. Sitting up as she placed the pixies on nearby mushroom, Ivory took the split second moment to twist off the top of her third parasol!. Success! Her triumphant thoughts were replaced however when she gave a start at the feel of a slight touch on her left wrist. Lifting her arm to stare, she watched a part of her sleeve that seemed to be particularly expanded as if something was scurrying underneath. Something that was creeping up her arm, higher and higher until it disappeared.
More than a little freaked out, shook out her sleeve even as she felt more than saw the little diving of other pixies as they began to bombard her with little handfuls of soil. "Hey knock it o----Ooooh heee, haaa, heheheheh."
Her words were cut off abruptly as the disappearing pixie made its appearance known by tickling under her arm. Over come with a fit of laughter and giggles, Ivory swatted at her robes. "Nooooo, it tickles!!!!! Hehehehehe, heeeee." The other pixies apparently now aware of the best determent, swarmed down to help their comrade. To tickle mercilessly.
Her laughter chimed loudly in the greenhouse as she tried to stun the little fiends while still keeping her parasol cap safe in her hand. "Immobulus"
Stupefy.
Immonu---Heeehe, heehehehe."
But it seemed casting while laughing, even non-verbally was not quite easy.

Faven was realived when she heard footsteps growing nearer and looked up to see Evelyn. Good thing she had overheard Evelyn's conversation with a friend and had remembered her name! "Thank you." she grinned...actually grinned. She was done with this activity! Meaning she could go and hide for the rest of the lesson, right? Or at least until all these pixies were gone. They were annoying. Moving over to the box, which really wasn't that far from them in the first place, she stuck the peppermint toadstool inside and stood back.
Yup, she was done.

Destiny could not care less about ruining her toadstool. What she was worried about, though, was the throbbing pain in her nose! How was it that those pixies could pinch, honk, twist and whatever else it was doing to her, so hard? They weren't that big! Rubbing it a little, she glanced around the Greenhouse. It was getting worse. So many people needed help to defend themselves. So many people were yelling. She had a headache. Lowering her hand from her nose, she turned back to Evelyn and gave her friend a few quick hand gestures. She was supposed to tell her to guard her as she went in to collect her last toadstool, but who knew what Evelyn would make out of it.
She just hoped the girl would defend her from the pixies.
Leaning forward and placing her hand on top of the cap, Destiny gave it a little twist, making it disconnect from the stem with ease. She wasn't going to bother getting a new one to replace the one she ruined, no. She wanted to get as far away from the pixies as possible.
"Evelyn, Evelyn, Evelyn! I'm done!"
And apparently, so was she.
Why didn't Destiny think of getting a Hufflepuff minion!?
Eying the hand gestures, Evelyn frowned in confusion and shook her head. What was all of that supposed to mean? Stand back? Well, she could do that...
Taking a step away from her friend, she glanced around at the others, feeling rather accomplished that she had finished her task already in a decent amount of time, and she didn't have to rush to get it done before the class ended. Hmmm...
Turning her attention back to Destiny at the echo of her name, she smiled and nodded slightly. They were both done. They could both hide then?! And what were they supposed to do with these frozen or stunned Pixies!? Nope, they could leave actually. "Come on Destiny...let's get out of here."
