"Ve..Ro...Vero.. Torpeooo..Viro Torpeo.." He repeated his voice shaky after the other. But finally understanding how she had pronounced it he gave it another go Viro Torpeo.." Then it came to him. What if someone said the incantation wrong, would there be a way for them to know,or would the mistake just happen without the wand holders knowledge.

"Professor..What if someone were to say it wrong..Would there be any indication as to know that you,did it wrong?I mean..If we do it wrong,is there some sort of magical sign that will tell us we did it wrong?

"Why do we need to harvest fangs of a biting toastool? Do we need their venom or something?" She fished out her dragonhide gloves and wore them."What happens if the pronunciation of the spell is wrong? I mean, what is the other effect, professor?"Ira was curious to learn. She found it exciting to actually perform her first practical in the first class itself.

"Well... depending on how you say it wrong it could either take no effect, or you could set it on fire, or simply turn it green."
Yep... the joys of magic in inexperienced hands. Hopefully there wouldn't be any fires today.

"Professor Bentley." Then she raised her hands. "Actually what is the use of the charm? And why did we need to harvest the fangs?"
Was this student not paying attention? "Focus please... as I've said the Numbing Charm is used to numb... that was we do not hurt the toadstools when we remove their fangs, which we will be doing, so that they may be added to the potions stores cupboard." Lafay would no doubt appreciate the gesture.

So they were going to bewitch the plants, then remove the two largest fangs from them? Of course, they couldn't remove all of their fangs otherwise they wouldn't be able to chew their food, so they wouldn't be able to eat, and would die, but one thing he didn't understand, so he raised his hand and asked.

"Professor, are the two largest fangs more valuable than the rest? If yes, how so and why?" He would imagine that the two largest fangs were the ones the toadstools used to cut off the flesh while the others were mostly intended to chew it, just like humans and most animals.

After lowering his hand he proceeded to practice the incantation for the spell. "Vee-row Tor-pay-oh, Viro Torpeo, Viro Torpeo." He said chant-like with the rest of the class, until the pronunciation sounded as correct as possible.
"It is indeed. The regular teeth are seldom used in potions as they do not possess the right qualities that fangs do. Biting toadstool fangs, are more powerful and more valluable than the teeth because they absorb more magic when feeding." They were able to penetrate deeper than teeth. The teeth just did the grunt work.

She thought as she heard the incantation and started practicing the pronunciation. "Viro Torpeo...Viro Torpeo...Viro Torpeo." She repeated. "Professor, does this charm work for all things? Or can you only use them on small objects?"

Pulling her parchment closer to herself once more, she copied down the incantation of the numbing charm. "Viro Torpeo. Viro Torpeo. Viro Torpeo." That was shockingly easy. Usually those spells were hard to pronounce. Like herbologically. She still couldn't pronounce that word.

"Professor!" She had a very good question. "Does this charm only work on toadstools?" Or like.. could she use it on Carter's legs?
Ahhh a very good question. "There variations of the Charm which enable it to be used on larger subjects, but this one is best used for small ones, plants mostly, not so much animals, they require more power."

Gosh, he sounded like such a softy. He payed close attention as to what they had to do and the boy slumped his shoulders in relief. The toadstools weren't going to feel pain after all. Softy.

Vi......WHAT?

Oh sweet mother of pudding, was that even a word...like an English word? He supposed not. Wizards had weird words, some that he couldn't even pronounce, but this was not the time for him to complain.

At first, Kennedy tried pronouncing it without looking at the blackboard. "V-Vir...Viro...Tor..Torrrrpedo. Viro Torpedo!" Yeah, that sound right...right?

WRONG!

He reddened when he read the pronouncination on the board. N'aw man! He said wrong, the worst part was that he said it out loud. Pfft. "Vi...ro...Tor...peo..." Hehe! It wasn't torpedo. "Viro Torpeo." He grinned to himself when he accomplished saying the word correctly. "Viro Torpeo. What's the name of the Charm? Viro Torpeo." Oh yeah, he knew how to say it and it made him feel cool.

Viro Torpeo.
"It's a Numbing Charm."
Hadn't she already said that?

She knew she had to say it correctly, one slip up and she could be toadstool brunch..."Professor, what potions are the fangs typically used for?" Jayden asked politely while rifling through her bag for her gloves.
"Fangs in general or toadstool fangs?" .... there were many types of fangs after all.
"Toadstool in general are used mostly in healing potions, this is much the same for Biting toadstool fangs." It was just the most powerful part of the Biting toadstool... whereas other toadstools lacked fangs but had other parts which held magical properties.

You know, kind of like a lizard's tail. Because if they do not, how can it get along with out them, aren't they important to the plant?" After asking her question, the Puff went a head and praticed the incantation. "V-vee-row Tor-pay-oh, Vee-row Tor-pay-oh, Viro Torpeo"
Oohhh brilliant point!
"Yes they do indeed. In the wild Biting toadstools will sometimes shed their fangs in order to grow newer sharper ones. New fangs- in the right conditions- withh grow back within 4 days." What good were blunt fangs for feeding? It was like using a spork.

“Ok, now get out your wands,”
she instructed, holding her own in front of her. “We’re going to practice the wand movement WITHOUT the incantation.” She said this in a stern voice- well as stern as she could... it wasn’t really her style.

Demonstrating, she jabbed her wand forward. Almost looking as if she was going to spear a student, but of course she would never do that.
“The wand movement is a jab,” she said, repeating the movement. “But do not make physical contact with the toadstool when you do this...” Otherwise you will regret it, though she didn’t say that bit out loud.

“Practice that a couple of times, and then I’ll show you how to harvest the fangs.” Because like everything, there was a process, sort of.

OOC: The activity will begin in approx 3-4 hours.
