Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.
Every Paranoid Slytherin
Every house you diss
Every bludger you miss
Every word you hiss
Every doom you meet
They're watching you
Every wand-tip you lit
Every gambling trick
Every prefect you kiss
Every power fit
They're watching you
Oh don't you know
Snakes slither alone
They will look for you
For every chaos that issues
Every lie you speak
Every nervous tick
Every mental kick
Every evil mist
They're watching you
They are watching you
They'll be watching you
Slytherin watches you
I'll be watching you.
&
Alone
Have you ever felt alone in the world,
like you just don't belong.
Like everywhere you turn,
you do something wrong.
You zig instead of zag,
you're yin instead of yang,
you step instead of leap.
It's always one step forward,
and two steps back.
You wonder why they hate you,
or stab you in the back,
or turn away so easily.
They look away when you're in pain,
and laugh when you fall.
They tease you because you're different,
because they are all the same.
They hate the way you think,
and laugh at your ideas.
Know you're not alone.
They're the same as you,
unique in many ways,
but hide it from society.
Never speaking their mind,
hiding their emotions.
Have you ever felt alone in the world?
Know you're never alone.

"Your welcome." She wasn't sure why she had said that, it just kind if slipped out. Well, he had said thank you, so it made a little bit of sense. She wasn't sure why he said thank you, either. The other boy just stared at her like she was crazy. Isobel supposed she was, declaring a national hug a slytherin day. "Bye," she said. Then she ran out of the Great Hall.
Say what? Light sabers? How come that reminded him of Emalyn? Actually, he was certain that whatever involved a sword shouldn't involve a first year to begin with. "Sure, we can do that." She seemed okay with it, at least. Just...light sabers? He'll have to try and remember what those were.
Five pizzas each? He wondered what each of them will say about him, though, considering that Arya said he didn't eat much. But then...IPods. "I do, just not right now." Since it didn't work at Hogwarts and all.
"And she works now? What does she do?" he asked, his eyes falling on his water as she asked the next question, "I do, a bit, I'm not perfect at it." Honestly, he wasn't, but he was better than he thought. And like he'd told Ellie, he'd have no problem at all with speaking to the locals if he was ever lost in France. Or anywhere else people spoke French. "She did." No further comments.
"I want to say I could teach you...but you're better off with asking Mr. Stryker to do so." Since the man was from France and spoke far better than Treyen did. Or so Treyen considered.
A smile was on his face now, "Good. I'm okay with the first copy of the first book." Whenever that was bound to happen, he didn't know, but he truly didn't mind waiting for that to happen.
Harlow clapped and bounced in her chair, "Oh goody. It will be fun I promise." At least Treyen could keep her from hurting herself. She wasn't all the way sure what a light saber did. Her brother saw it in a movie and talked about it all the time so she knew it was something silly, but still it sounded fun. "Oh, I've always wanted one, but they tend to catch fire at our house. Too much magic." It made her sad. Especially her dad who had to pa for them on the watch them smoke and smolder.
She nodded, "Yeah she's a graphic artist and she works for my granddad's broom and carpet company. In the marketing department. Its a really big company because a lot of my relatives work there." she commented. Like her aunt Tomasina, her mom, her cousin JoJo. Her babble of words stopped as she really heard what he said, "Your mom doesn't speak French anymore? Was she cunfundded?" Sometimes it happened. "Hmm I might just ask him. I like learning new languages and they say its better to learn early than waiting till later." When you were old and just set in your ways she guessed.
Harlow's smile matched Treyen's. He was nice and she was glad she had made him a friend. "Its settled then. This has been really fun." she commented. "I think its time to head to class though." she said. "Don't want to be late for potions." Dragon Lady might eat them if they were.

Aspen dropped into a seat next to the Slytherin. The Ravenclaw had waited until Sierra was more or less to herself, or as alone as Aspen hoped to get her. She didn't waste any time in getting straight to the point, not exactly being the type to linger or hover.

"Hi." ........ "What are you doing after dinner?"
Sierra had just finished the last of her potatoes when a flash of blue sat down beside her. Well, at least it was a Ravenclaw. Had it been a Gryffindor or Merlin forbid a Puffer, she'd have just gotten up and left. Ravenclaws--she could tolerate them, though.
"Hello," she said, reminding herself to be as pleasant as possible around Aspen. Their first meeting hadn't gone over too well, but since then, she'd actually made an effort. The girl wasn't half bad, and the fact still remained that their fathers weren't apparently cohorts from way back when.
Sierra shrugged. "I haven't thought about it yet," she said. "I guess I'll just head back to the common room." Thank Merlin she didn't have a social life. The thought of surrounding herself with others on a regular basis caused chills to run up her spine. "Why? What's going on?"

Aspen pushed a vacant plate away from her while she waited for the answer. "Well... I've already thought it about for you. One less thing for you to think about." Miss Odessa grinned, then produced a solid black bandana from her school bag. "It's cold out and this will cover your face. I trust you have black pants and a shirt?"
And if not, Aspen trusted that the Slytherin knew simple color changing charms?
"Where is the best place for us to meet if we needed to get on the grounds after hours without getting caught?" she asked, same as she would have asked what the day's weather would be like. No big deal.

Fun. Good. He was sure it would be. Probably. It will be. Done. He smiled and nodded in agreement.
Wait, catch fire? What was Harlow doing to the poor IPod? If she was, by any chance, trying to make it work in a whole-magical environment he was failing to see why, mainly because it all worked outside of Hogwarts, right? He hadn't tested the Ministry, but Harlow wasn't trying to make it work in there, was she? Doubtful.
"I see," he chuckled, "Well, better luck with the next one, then." For the IPod. Hopefully it wouldn't die.
Really? But that was pretty awesome, truth be told. No wonder Harlow wanted to be a writer, the creativity was there. But then she mentioned his mom. He shook his head, "No, not really, she...she died when I was too little to remember her." But no sadness over that. It was a LONG time ago. AND...good for Harlow liking to learn new things, she'll do wonders in Hogwarts, then.
Hehe. Treyen smiled widely, it was settled. But the smile quickly faded...POTIONS! Right! "Good thing we're close to the dungeons." He said, getting up...hadn't he come to eat, though?..."Shall we?" he motioned to the door after taking his bag.

Sierra gave Aspen a raised eyebrow expression. She'd already planned out Sierra's evening for her, hmm? Sierra started to protest--to tell her that no, she was not starting on her OWL studies two terms in advance. It seemed the girl had something else in mind, though. The raised eyebrows wrinkled inward as Sierra accepted the black bandanna.
"So, wait. Let me get this straight...," she said, stuffing the bandanna into the pocket of her robes. "You want to...sneak onto the grounds of the school with you...after hours?" It wasn't a foreign concept to Sierra, but...a Ravenclaw? "So what's out on the grounds at that hour?" ...and better yet, why would Sierra want to sacrifice her hard-earned points for someone else?

Aspen folded her hands into her lap to keep from rearranging the Slytherin table plates and left overs. Sometimes she just couldn't help herself. So, to keep her hands from being busy, she listened with utmost patience as Sierra relayed her version of Aspen's itinerary.
"Sneak... is maybe the wrong word. We're going to just be on the grounds after hours and we're just going to walk there." Not sneak. If Aspen's theory that Sierra would know the best places/ways to sneak out held true, there wouldn't BE a need to sneak, see?
She was also ready for Sierra's question. "Fresh air, of course. And Grounds. Moonlight. Creatures of the night." Those types of things. Nodnod.

Sierra's eyes flickered down to Aspen's hands, and she wondered if the girl was just nervous or if something else was going on. She decided it didn't matter one way or the other and returned to looking the girl in the eye. "Right. You just gave the Slytherin version of the story, Aspen Odessa," she said. A snake would claim they weren't sneaking all because they simply walked and didn't technically sneak. The bandanna would do nothing to help that case either.
"What are you really wanting to do this for?" she asked, not completely sold on the excuse she was given. She was putting her own house points on the line here. For fresh air? No professor would believe that. The fresh air could be gotten beforehand. "I...may be game." Sh ejust hoped Aspen knew what she was doing. Sierra had left the common room after hours before, but she'd only ever gone one place.

"You are a Slytherin," sooooooooo... wasn't that fitting? Aspen always did her homework. She might not hold the points crown like Sierra, but Aspen was no dummy. "I don't exactly have the numbers to prove it, but I can just about guarantee that Slytherins are statistically less likely to either a) get caught on the grounds after hours," notably due to their dark House colors, the proximity of their Common Room, and in-built cunning, "or b) to actually get in trouble FOR being on the Grounds after hours. Besides," Aspen got up, feeling she'd already lingered long enough with her accomplice. Best not raise suspicions in such a public setting.
".... you're with a Ravenclaw. I've already thought it all through." Aspen tapped her head before producing a map of the lower level of Hogwarts. She'd made an X on her idea of a best meet up spot. "9 o'clock. It seems to be the best time from what I understand. Before the Prefects start patrolling and after most of the professors have retired to their quarters."

Nod nod nod.
"Not what. But whom."
Right.
It didn't escape Sierra that in the end, Aspen Odessa needed something and was just trying to use Sierra to help get whatever or whoever it was. "You're right, Aspen. I am a Slytherin, which is why I'm assuming you'll appreciate the fact that I realize this isn't just a walk on the grounds for fresh air," she pointed out.
However...Sierra was willing to overlook that fact. "A favor given, though, ...is a favor earned," she added. "In other words, you've got yourself a deal, Aspen." Sierra peered over and looked at the map, taking note of the spot marked with an X. She nodded. "Note taken, and I'll see you there," she said. As an afterthought, she added, "...at nine."

*squeak, squeak, squeak*
However...thinking past everything that was being said...an underlining sense of discomfort had fallen over the blonde. This line of questioning was...strange. Something about it didn't feel right. What if there WAS still something there? What would she do if Carter chose Marie over her?
It's not that I'm insecure, is it?
*frown*
*sigh*
Not even the delicious strawberries could keep her attention anymore...
"Marie...You know what? You're right. Are you happy now?" Marilyn was willing to say anything to shut her up at this point. She didn't know what her cousin was right about, exactly...but whatever. She was TIRED of hearing this.

"Jealous? Me?" he laughed. "That whole love potion fiasco was the best thing that's ever happened to me. Otherwise I'd probably still be stuck with you. The whiny, conceited, self-centered you"
"And I happen to not be here for you." No, he was here for his badge. Which was still missing!
What was Marilyn thinking? "Don't agree with her." he snapped. It was just what Marie wanted. And he was not going to give in to her every little wish ever again.
Now what was Marie talking about? Want to be her friend? Ha! That was a laugh.
"WHY, in merlin's name..."
He began. Merlin. He was feeling a bit groggy. And he had a bit of a headache.
"would I want..."
Why did he feel like he was just waking up?
"be... friend..."
He rubbed his head. What were they talking about again?
Be friends?
His eyes widened as the conversation came flooding back to him.
"I need to STOP accepting drinks from Slytherins..." he mummbled under his breath.
Marie turned and rolled her eyes at the nuisance sitting next to her. She was done with talking to that... thing. She wasn't the one Marie had wanted to talk to anyway, Carter was. Although now she was beginning to wonder why she ever wanted to do that. This was not turning out the way she had thought it would. It had been well over twenty minutes and he was still hating on her.
Looks like her potion didn't work after all. Carter really does hate her.
And he just kept running his mouth to prove that fact. "Yeah, well you're not the only one that potion worked out for. At least now I'm not stuck with you! The I'm too stupid and oblivious to tell a girl how I really feel about them you."
"Oh right, how could I forget. It's Destiny you're here for. Yet another girl you are too stupid to tell how you really feel. Instead of coming right out and telling the girl you like her you play these stupid little games with her." Like giving her his badge so he has a reason to chase her around without having to come right out and say why he wants to be around her.
Really... just... really?
"You know, maybe YOU should mind your own damn business here Carter. It's NONE of your business how I talk to her and it sure as hell isn't any of your business if she agrees with me or not!" First Carter tries telling Marie how NOT to talk to Marilyn, now he's telling Marilyn NOT to agree with Marie! And he has the nerve to talk about the way she treats others.
"I'm starting to ask myself that question. Why the hell did I ever think we could be friends again? And WHY I ever thought this stupid potion would work is beyond me. It's clear you really do hate me. There's no point in me sticking around any longer. You've made it quite clear how much you hate me Carter." Standing up she looked down at him. "I will promise you this though. If I ever hear that you hurt Destiny in ANY way I WILL be the first one to break your nose." With that said she turned to leave.
She really hated Lafay right now for giving them this assignment.

Of course it wasn't just a walk on the grounds. Even if that would be sort of nice, Sierra wasn't the person Aspen would pick for friendly walks. Sierra might actually be the last person Aspen chose for such a thing. No, Aspen had chosen Sierra with purpose.
There was a task, and for tasks, Aspen needed someone like Sierra.
"Deal," Aspen agreed to the favors. Fair was fair. "Wear black." She mimed putting a bandana over her face as she backed away.

Carter groaned out loud. Not again! He already had a headache from once again being tricked into taking some potion. Now he had to once again deal with Marie overreacting because of a potion.
He blinked. What in Merlin's name? Where did she get that idea from? And why would she say that in front of Marilyn? Now the girl that he was actually interested in would think he was after someone else!
Really? Where was everyone getting this insane idea about Destiny from?
"Marie wait!" he called after her. He jumped up from the table and followed after her.
Ugh. He couldn't believe they actually had to have this conversation again.
"Marie. Seriously. Calm down for a second." he said catching up with her. He remained silent for a second... mostly because he, himself, needed to calm down as well.
"You can't just give me a potion and take everything I say at face value."
Really, she shouldn't be giving him potions anyway. He could have just stopped that sentence halfway through.

Marilyn was ultimately unsurprised by everything Marie was saying. Carter had a thing for Destiny?
What was the deal? Everyone kept saying that...but that didn't make any sense...Or perhaps it made perfect sense. He had been calling her sweets in the Muggle Studies classroom...Why would he call her that name just because?
Was he...talking to Destiny?
*frown* And she had his badge, but Carter had said she'd stolen it from her. Marilyn believed that. Dee loved shiny objects very much. Almost more than chocolate...Almost.
Marie was suggesting something serious here...and Carter wasn't saying a thing to deny the accusation. Usually when someone says something untrue about someone else, that person feverishly denies it and whatnot. But there was nothing.
Nothing but Marie walking away and Carter running after her.
*sigh*
Marilyn had no clue was was going on...but she was now 17 years old and entirely too mature to be dealing with this...Her cousin was a very selfish person. It was entirely obvious now. All she cared about was giving Carter some stupid hate potion...but why? To get some sick satisfaction that he really did care for her. It was so...stupid...and twisted. Carter cared for everybody. He was a kind person...
*smh* Gathering her things, the blond banished her own breakfast, leaving the golden table setting pristine once more. It was her own little way of helping out the house elves.
NEWTs were coming up, they had practices over the next couple of days and a game against a team they'd assumed posed no threat, but had ultimately been wrong about. Marilyn would not allowed herself to feel heartbroken right now. She had too many things to focus on.
If Carter wanted to speak to her, he'd find her.

Marie stopped but didn't turn around when she heard Carter calling her name. Did he have more yelling at her that he wanted to do... tell her some more what a rotten person she was?
Turning around when he told her to calm down she just glared at him. "Calm down? You're the one hating on me and you tell me to calm down." Fine, he wanted calm he was going to get calm.
"Look Carter, I gave you that hate potion because I thought it was going to finally prove that you don't hate me. The effects of that potion should have worn off long ago yet you still continued with your hate towards me. I get it, I really do. You hate me and there's nothing that's going to change that." She would just have to deal with the fact that they were never going to be friends again.
"I have to go. I'll tell Destiny you're looking for her if I see her." Feeling like a total fool for even thinking that stupid potion was going to work she turned and left. She didn't know where she was going, she just knew she had to get out of there.

Sweet Merlin. Carter was going to get himself some kind of bottle and not drink out of anything but it.
And here he was... just like he'd been many years ago... attempting to apologize for something he had no control over.
It was because of things like this that he wasn't capable of just having normal relationships and normal friendships. Instead he had to deal with worrying about what kind of things may be in his drinks.
And now Marie, most likely deciding this was his fault, left. He sighed and headed back to the table. He should probably apologize to Marilyn for his... ermm... behavior. Of course, she probably realized he wasn't normally like that. But still... experience told him just to go ahead and apologize.
Except she wasn't at the table when he got back to it. He sighed and let his head hit the table. Girls gave him a headache. And so did tables...
After a few minutes he decided to head out of the Great Hall. He wasn't getting anything done sitting there with his head against the table.

"Wah! too close!" he squealed and pushed Jonathan's side with his free hand that wasn't been crushed down with the sudden hug.
Successfully freeing himself, Daichi pouted his lips and crossed his arms over each other. First getting a hug from a total Hufflepuff stranger and now from Jonathan? waaah scary~ He liked hugs but not that many, it wasn't manly. Le~ pout.
He blinked a couple of times when Jonathan wished him happy new year. Eh ? MERLIN'S BEARD IT HAD BEEN NEW YEAR?! "eh..right back at ya.." he said with a smile.
So...if it had been new year ...THEN WHY DIDN'T HE HAVE ANY PRESENTS. oh! he got it! Jonathan was saying it first and THEN he would give him his present~
The young Slytherin held both of his hands out and grinned stupidly.
Jonathan laughed and pinched Daichi's cheeks. Not a day that this little Slytherin doesn't look cute. Now Jonathan really wishes he had a little brother. He has a younger cousin though but she's a girl, so she's not really the sporty type. Which sometimes annoys Jonathan. Bloody cousin of his.
Too close? "I thought you wanted me to get closer and closer" he couldn't help but laugh again. Jonathan had nothing else to do the whole day so seeing Daichi really made him smile.
"Right back at yah?" Jonathan cocked an eyebrow. A new New Year greeting perhaps? Jonathan saw Daichi's hands reached to him. Was he asking for alms or for a gift? Jonathan starred back at him and thought of an idea. He took his spoon and gave it to him "Here. The soup is my lovely present to you" he smiled. It was either that or the bowl.
Ryan walked into the Great Hall.He sat down at the table and looked around,it felt weird sitting at the Slytherin Table. He was a tincy bit hungry so he grabbed abit of bread and buttered it.
Chelsea walked to the great hall with Ryan. Taking a seat at the Slytherin table. While filling her plate with salad Chelsea looked at the Prophet. For once it had something she wanted to read on it. Hope this doesn't seem to rude since I'm on a date she thought to herself. But she had to read this, it must have been what her aunt was talking about in part of that letter.

She leaned in closer to Ryan so no one would hear their conversation. "The trial finally came to an end" she paused "My parents won't be released" she continued telling him. She was relieved, she hated her parents especially her father.

''I know I hate my parents alot as well, they sent me a letter saying that they didn't want me.''
