Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.
Every Paranoid Slytherin
Every house you diss
Every bludger you miss
Every word you hiss
Every doom you meet
They're watching you
Every wand-tip you lit
Every gambling trick
Every prefect you kiss
Every power fit
They're watching you
Oh don't you know
Snakes slither alone
They will look for you
For every chaos that issues
Every lie you speak
Every nervous tick
Every mental kick
Every evil mist
They're watching you
They are watching you
They'll be watching you
Slytherin watches you
I'll be watching you.
&
Alone
Have you ever felt alone in the world,
like you just don't belong.
Like everywhere you turn,
you do something wrong.
You zig instead of zag,
you're yin instead of yang,
you step instead of leap.
It's always one step forward,
and two steps back.
You wonder why they hate you,
or stab you in the back,
or turn away so easily.
They look away when you're in pain,
and laugh when you fall.
They tease you because you're different,
because they are all the same.
They hate the way you think,
and laugh at your ideas.
Know you're not alone.
They're the same as you,
unique in many ways,
but hide it from society.
Never speaking their mind,
hiding their emotions.
Have you ever felt alone in the world?
Know you're never alone.
Alexia walked in the Great Hall, it was crowded and noisy. She went to the Slytherin table trying not to bump anyone along the way, then she sat down at last and began to eat.
Ariana looked around. Everyone was talking, except for a first year sitting across her. She was just stuffing her face with food and nobody seemed to talk to her. "Hi. Hungry, aren't you? So, how's your 1st year in Hogwarts? Going well? I'm Ariana by the way." Ariana smiled at her and waited for an answer.

Aurora grinned, Kennedy even blushed when a pygmy puff showed love towards him? That was so adorable!"Maybe she's just excited at meeting you." she said, watching him reach for the game. "Erm, no, is it like chess?" she asked, though she couldn't imagine it would be much fun to watch some little disc counter thingies beat eachother up - chess was much more entertaining. She ate the last bite of her jam and bread as Kennedy finished his toast - very convenient. "So, how do you play?" she asked, brushing the crumbs from the front of her robes and moving her plate so the board would fit more easily.
Aurora chuckled as the pygmy puff snuggled into Kennedy. "Aww, that's cute. You're obviously just a lovely person." she said - even pygmy puffs knew when someone wasn't nice... they rarely liked her... unless she was being particularly cheery for some reason. "I don't think you can try too hard to make people-" she stopped herself, she was supposed to be talking about animals... not humans... "Things - like you, I mean, either you're nice and things love you, or you're not... and they don't." she said, shrugging. She supposed it was different with people - you could always lie to people - but animals... kind of knew... somehow.
Kennedy slightly chuckled, maybe the puff was happy to meet him. That was good, at least it wouldn't bite him. He took the game board out of the box and set it out. "Mmm, no," he answered, thinking of how to explain this to her. He's seen wizard's chest and Checkers, unfortunately wasn't that fun. "The disks don't beat each other and they don't move on their own...at all," he said. "Which color disks would you like?" he asked, allowing her to choose first. It would probably be easier to explain when they had the board ready and all.
If possible, Kennedy's cheeks turned even brighter red. "U-Um...nah," he was kind of stuck on what to say. He wasn't used to compliments like these ones. "I guess it's easy to make creatures like me, but with people...eh, back home its harder." Much harder when people thought he was a freak. He shook his head, and smiled up at Aurora. He didn't want to think about that right now, he was far too comfortable at Hogwarts.

Raven walked to the house table with maroon sillypuff. Nice, sillypuff hated her now. It didn't obey her now, and it didn't want to see her.
"Great. Now sillypuff doesn't like me and I don't like her." She smiled cunningly. Then Raven sat at the corner of table and had some lunch. Corn chowder, lamb chop, mashed potato and juice.
Nicole walks to the great hall and sees only a few poeple. So Nicole went to sat down next to a girl. Hi my name is emily said the girl.hi nicole said wow pancakes and oranges and eggs.yum said nicole i LOVE oranges and eggs.nicole takes out her wand and turns the orange into a stone and then throws it to the glass in front of her and uses a spell to stop it from braking and brops it on some ones head.

Aurora nodded slowly, "So it's... just some circles on a board?" she asked. Hmm, maybe it could be fun, but she was starting to doubt it. Hmmm, which colour? "Does it matter which colour I pick?" she said, reaching for the black disks, ooh they were all shiny. "I bet you could get them to move by themselves pretty easily." |She was already thinking of charms to do it... hmmm, maybe something 'mobulus...' "But I suppose we're playing it the muggle way." she added, putting the disk down that she had been twiddling between her fingers.
Oh goodness, it was adorable when guys blushed! A little smile crossed Aurora's lips, "You should learn to take compliments." she said, nudging him with her elbow. "Yeah, people can be... difficult. At least you're here now, sounds like your friends at home sucked." she said, smiling back at Kennedy, picking up one of the counters and spinning it like a coin on the board, she knew only too well what people could be like - although she had always been on the other side to people like Kennedy - she probably still would be when she went back home - but there was something about Hogwarts... she shrugged, she didn't know why she was like that with other people, but it was different here, she was nicer... sometimes.
"Anyway, you don't need to worry about muggles anymore, soon enough you'll be able to get your own back." she tapped her wand - in it's holster of course - grinning slightly; she was kidding, and it was obvious... sort of. He couldn't do any of it out of Hogwarts before he was of age anyway. She stopped the counter spinning with one finger and started to build a tower. Red, black, red, black... "Did you ever - before you came to Hogwarts, I mean - did you ever use your magic for... like... I don't know. For when people were horrible, did you ever accidentally use magic on them?" she asked - she was interested - her whole family were magical, she had learnt to keep it under control pretty quickly and she just wondered how that could happen with kids who weren't pureblood.

First afternoon back from being sick and someone already threw freaking rock on her head.
"What the---" Cass exclaimed in surprised as she dropped the muffin that she had been reaching for when something hard dropped on her head. The fourth year whirled around only to find another first year causing trouble. She rolled her eyes at the girl's immaturity "What is your problem?!" She asked with a roll of her hazel eyes. She was not in a good mood and but she was trying to be patient..after all, it was only a kid, and maybe she didn't mean it.

Angelina looked over at the girls and saw the oldest one yelling at her. So therefore Angelina spooke up, "I don't think she ment it on purpuse! We are first years, you have been a first year as well, and if you did that I bet you really didn't mean too." Why are some mean to first years? They have been there before themselfs!
Angelina walked into the Great Hall to get something to eat, and have a peacefull time, and maybe with a friend or two. Besides the fouth year yelling at a first year she knew, it was peacefull. Angelina walked to the table sat down and first took a drink of water, before starting to eat.
Nicole walks to the great hall and sees two of her friends that were their first year too so i walked over there and started to talk to emily nicole said (hey wanna go throw some rocks at some kids?) emily said no thats rude what ever any body wanna go with me? fine ill go by my self. sticks her tung out

The older Slytherin resisted the powerful urge to roll her eyes, sure, she had been in first year too, she caused trouble a lot too, but she DID NOT - UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - THROW ROCKS AT PEOPLE.
So, she took a deep, calming breath, ran her fingers through her hair and said patiently "Alright, I know, I was a first year too a few years back." Then she huffed and slightly glared at the girl who actually threw the rock at her - SHE DIDN'T EVEN LOOK SORRY!
She then glanced at the girl who spoke up and for a moment, admired her courage, not a lot of first years had the guts to stand up to an upperclassman. Much less a fourth year. "But could you please tell your friend that throwing rocks at people isn't very...dignified." Yes, it was barbaric, absolutely primal. Lafay would flip if she found out that one of the first years was misbehaving in such a juvenile manner.
Please, if you're going to cause trouble, make sure it's worth the detention...and throwing rocks and sticks at people...isn't. She inhaled once again as tried to control her temper and swallow a bit of her too large ego. "I'm sorry for yelling at you, but seriously, that rock hurt. A lot." She said as she rubbed the sore spot on the top of her head "So, no more throwing rocks, alright?" They were lucky they didn't hit a prefect, or a professor, or else Slytherin might have lost a few points, which would give Gryffindor the chance to catch up.
She was going on and on about a party that he didn't even know he could be invited too. He smiled at her, it was simply adorable. "Well, then ask me again in a couple months...and maybe my answer will be different." He didn't mind not knowing anyone in there, because he knew Harlow and he had a feeling that such a thing will be enough for the entirety of the party.
AHA!
"Really? That's fantastic." Diggy working at Willy Wonka. He would've never guessed, truth be told. "I do, he owes me a butterbeer, by the way." This Lockhart had a fantastic memory, it seemed. "And Oliver Greenwood you know as well?" He was Diggy's cousin, and once incredible Quidditch player.
Their motto sounded right. He nodded as much as possible, "That's how it should be. If you're working for the rest of your life, it's better if you work with something you enjoy." Otherwise, it may suck for a while. Just may. Sometimes it worked even better than one thought.
A small smile touched his lips, "It is. Yes." Exciting, Quidditch, players, games, everything was. And...his mom...he didn't want to get into details about the one relative he never got to meet, "She was a Museum Curator, a Muggle." His smile did widen. That was his favorite part, the Muggle part. "I, however, don't want to follow either one of their paths, I want to act, work as an actor," maybe even direct some play someday. Who knows.
She clapped, "Oh that would be fantastic Treyen. Each family has to do a talent and this year my dad said we are going to reenact some famous muggle battle. You could help with that." She nodded. It would be great to have Treyen along. He would do great. "Though if swords are involved you might have to fight my brothers to get one." she informed him. But she would love to see Treyen knock her brothers around for a bit. She was too small to do any real damage other than a few well placed jinxes.
Harlow giggled, "Well if you're a friend I know he would love hearing from you and he would love to buy you that butterbeer." If she knew anything about her Greenwood cousin it was that he never passed up a chance to hang out. She nodded again, "I know Oliver too. He is Diggy's uncle though he doesn't hang out with the family as much." she shrugged. She didn't know much about Oliver. Harlow would have counted him as her uncle but he acted like he didn't even want to be a Greenwood and she had enough family to get on with. She didn't need someone who didn't want to be family.
She cocked her head, "That is right, You should enjoy what you do. I think that's what makes it better being a wizard. You get to pick what you're good at and what you like doing as a job. Instead of just picking a job to pay for things. Though there are some nice things about muggles. Like cell phones and those IPop things." She really wanted one but they went haywire around the house with all the magic in the place.
Harlow nodded, "Yeah. Quidditch just isn't the life for me. Its nice to watch and its cool being on the team. I just know its not the life I want." she explained. Though she was mighty proud that she had made the team and it was her first time flying. "A museum curator. Oh thats nice. What museum did she work at?" She had been to a few small ones around the world, but no one ever wanted to go with her to the important ones. Harlow's smile widened and she reached over for a spare piece of parchment and her swan feather quill, "Well let me be the first person to get your autograph." she told him pushing the parchment and quill over to him. "I want to be a writer." Harlow announced. It was the only thing she had ever wanted to be.

Angelina slightly snorted and said, "Yes I know I've told her that may times." Thats the thing Angelina got mad at Nicole about, throwing rocks at people, being mean to others, when she really doesn't need too! Angelina looked over at her friend Nicole (which didn't see her), and gave her a look sympathy.
She then turned to the older Slytherin and said, "For her I'll say I'm sorry. I don't understand why she does that. I think its the evil coming out of her," Angelina said dragging out her sentence. Then she said with a sorry face, "I can bet that rock hurt alot!" She looked over at the girl and asked, "Is your head okay?"

What? Like a re-enactment of the sorts? Treyen instantly smiled. That'd be wicked! Considering that was like acting, in a way. "Swords, eh? I'll need to practice, then." He smiled. It sounded like a good idea to tag along in Harlow's summer, and if he got to see Diggy, then all the better.
Oh, that's good. "Yeah, tell him I say 'Hi' when you see him again." And Oliver? Well, Treyen had a better chance of telling him 'Hi' himself, right? Especially since he started to think that Kaika saw him more than Harlow, since they both were Quidditch players and all.
Harlow was a nice kid, really. Much better than the Jillian Huffie he met last year. Then again, he met the girl when Lola was most certainly terrorizing the poor thing.
"It's nice that you think that way," being an eleven year-old that thought about working in something you could have fun in was pretty great, she'd know what she wanted to do with her life soon enough. Hehe. "Ipods, you mean? Yeah, they're cool things." He had a cell phone back at home. Him and Conan needed to communicate somehow.
Got it. He understood that. Especially now that he wasn't into Quidditch. He nodded. And then he was asked yet another question. "The Museum of Arts and Crafts in Paris. She quit when she married my dad, though, and came to England." True love, right? Then again, he didn't even know if his mother had loved to do whatever it was she did. Maybe it had only been a job to her and nothing more.
WHAAAAT?!
Treyen chuckled, he hadn't been expecting that. Funny. He took the quill, though, no hesitation at all.

So, she already knew what she wanted to be. That was impressive. He hadn't had a clue until this summer.

For Merlin's sake. She didn't know why the first year was so upset about her yelling, they weren't Hufflepuffs, they most certainly are not friendly. Well, ok, she can be friendly...but not when she has had a rotten day, and a rock thrown solidly on the top of her head.
But of course, she didn't say all that out loud, she wasn't in the mood to fight with a kid. So she bit her tongue and kept her silence. "Well then, maybe the next time she does it, it might catch Lafay's attention." Cass said glancing back at the troublesome first year who had resumed eating her breakfast "If so, it would get the whole house in trouble." She totally did not want a repeat of the 'Even if you are Slytherins, you have to respect other people too' speech from last term. Nope. Not even. Besides, their head of house had really...scary ways regarding the discipline of her house.
The blonde nodded as the younger girl apologized, alright, despite the argument, she was going to like this girl, she had spunk and manners. "No worries, just control your friend." Then her hand touched the top of her head where the rock hit and she winced, yeah, it hurt. Like a lot. "No worries." She said with a brave smile "Nothing Madam Brookes can't fix."
Then she held out her hand and smiled apologetically "Sorry again. I'm Cassandra Prewett, Fourth year." Obviously Slytherin.
Aurora nodded slowly, "So it's... just some circles on a board?" she asked. Hmm, maybe it could be fun, but she was starting to doubt it. Hmmm, which colour?
“No...kind of,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. “It's almost like regular Chess where you choose a color and your opponent chooses the other.” Was he making sense? Most likely no. He took a red disk and placed it on one of the black squares on the board. “I bet you could,” he said, smirking. Aurora was a talented witch, and Kennedy just knew she was thinking of a way to charm the disks to move. “Yes, we are. Maybe some other time we can try to charm them and see how that works.” That would be fun, and that way when he went back home he could play by himself. "Okay, now we place our own disks on the black squares on the board, starting from the three squares at your end," he said, placing three red disks where he had motioned.
Kennedy grinned and looked down at the board. It wouldn't be so hard to accept compliments if his cheeks didn't turn red every time he got one. Why couldn't he have a switch, so that way he could control it. He looked up again and shook his head. “I wouldn't call them friends.” Friends didn't torture you or make fun of your family for their own enjoyment. “And they did, big time,” he said, managing to smile. They did suck, no question about that. But, he could call the people he's met here friends and that made a strange feeling well up in his chest. It was a nice feeling, though.
He laughed at the thought of him hexing one of the kids back home. Although, he would enjoy seeing them stunned he wouldn't do it. Kennedy didn't want to get kicked out of Hogwarts. Plus, Aurora was joking, right? Hehe. He's eyes drifted from Aurora's red and black tower to her. Did he ever use magic? Feeling as if someone was listening, Kennedy scooted a little closer to Aurora. He hasn't told anyone about this, just the shopkeeper at Diagon Alley, but he had to because the guy wouldn't give him a wand if he didn't explain himself. “I did, b-but it wasn't like I wanted to hurt anyone,” he said, hanging his head in shame. “The first time, a kid I thought was my friend was insulting my mom...we fought and somehow I...I-I shocked him...with my hand.” He looked down at his hand. That was when he earned one of his nicknames; The Freak.
"Well's its nice to meet you Angelina. So i guess your a first year?" Elizabeth asks kindly.
OOC: I didn't know if Elizabeth and Angelina had met before...like i didn't know if were have RPed with our charcaters before so i just acted like they havent met.
Angelina smiled and said, "Yes first year! You?"
OCC: Ohhhh okay, and no he haven't.

When the Slytherin said that next time Nicole did something like that she might get Lafay's attention, she glanced behind her with the Slytherin with sorry eyes. Angelina set it aside and said, "Yes I will keep her under control, and I do most of the time..." She smiled at Angelina, and she returned it with a small smile. "Well I hope you get better!"
When she held out her hand Angelina took it and said, "Its fine, I'm sorry to. Nice to meet you Carssandra. I'm Angelina Andrews, first year." With that her smile brighten a bit more.

In one grab she ended up with mostly spoons. As she did the incantations on this group, a small smile crept upon her face. When finished with the spoons she lied one upon the table perpendicular to the box, spoon side pointing toward the box. She took the next spoon and lied it across the handle end. She held her hand aloft and SMACK. She hit the spoon part hard with her hand sending the second spoon flying towards the box in which it landed. Looking up she grinned at Corey and sent the next spoon into the box in the same manner.
"Sorry, I just had to try it." she said as she looked down at the lessening pile of utensils, "We are getting it done faster than I thought. I just thought I'd try a trick my cousins taught me. Or I could do this," She picked up a spoon and breathed on the curved end and stuck it to the end of her nose. It hung there, she shook her head and it waggled on her nose but still stuck. She laughed and pulled it off. Setting it down she started shining them again snickering and giggling throughout.
Corey laughed and of course he had to attempt the same thing. Polishing and then launching the cutlery back into the box with a flick. It was good fun actually. Who would have thought that polishing cutlery could become a game.
"Gross, I hope I don't get that one to eat with. Nose germs." He was just kidding really, but it was kind of funny.
"Or you could play 'em. I saw some hobo busking once, and he was playing spoons, with quiet desperation. You should never underestimate flatware."

Jesifur laughed as Corey attempted to play the spoons. Shining silver wasn't so bad when you had someone fun with you.
"I cleaned the nose spoon Corey. I'm not trying to gross anyone out." she said through her laughter. "look, we are almost done now."
Jesifur pointed to the pile of silver which was now quite a small pile. Then pointed out the box, which was almost full again, with very clean silverware now. She grabbed another round of utensils, "argentum," she said with a point of her wand "excolo" she said indicating yet again the areas she wanted to be shined. She flipped the utensils over and did the opposite sides and tossed them in the box.
"So. you said you'd try and teach me the hovering charm? I suppose that would be the next thing right? I mean as soon as this tiny pile is done" Jesifur asked Corey.

Cass nodded at the girl as she promised to keep watch over the troublesome first year. "Thanks." She said gratefully, silently cursing the fact that she still had to step into the hospital wing after spending a month successfully avoiding it, just because a kid threw a rock at her head. Brilliant.
She smiled at the younger Slytherin shook her hand firmly before releasing it from her hold "Nice to meet you Angelina. You can call me, Cass."
Not really feeling up to eating anymore, Cass glanced at her unfinished breakfast and shook her head. Meh, her eggs were probably all cold now anyway. She then finished off a glass of pumpkin juice before scooping up her bag and turning it towards the door to head to the infirmary as fast she could can.

That was when he earned one of his nicknames; The Freak.
Aurora nodded slowly, watching as he placed a counter on the board. "Okay." she said. "Though, I have to admit, I suck at chess, wizard or otherwise." It just wasn't something she had ever been interested in so she hadn't bothered to learn. "I... don't know. My charms aren't exactly first rate..." she admitted. She knew a few useful ones and had practiced them enough for them to come easily but otherwise... she was kinda rubbish at them. "Black squares, got it." she said and placed her counters onto the correct squares, mirroring Kennedy's.
Oh... so he didn't have any friends back home..? That was horrible. Aurora bit her lip a little, feeling sorry for him. She couldn't imagine why he didn't have friends - he was a lovely person. Come on; she had fainted on the train in front of hundreds of people and only he had bothered to stop and see if she was okay! She could have died for all anyone else cared and, if she was honest with herself, he was probably one of... three people, other than her family, that seemed to actually care about her. Weird, huh? The girl who had hundreds of friends back home, the 'popular one,' actually needed friends. She knew that, when she got back to Germany, she'd have to plaster on the fake smile, the prejudices and the withering sneers for fear of losing her 'friends.' "Well, at least you're here now. You don't have to worry about them." Aurora said, smiling warmly.
She LOVED it when she could make people laugh, it made her happy somehow. She flicked over the tower of spare counters with one finger - nails painted green, obviously - and divided them by colour, putting them back into the box. Then Kennedy shifted closer to her... oh - he felt bad for the magic thing. "It's alright, you know. Everyone does it. I set my sisters homework on fire too many times to count." she said. "And then... once, I got really angry and there was this like... windy thing... and it blew one of the delicate saplings over in the garden. Rufin wasn't impressed." she added, yeah... it had been worth a lot of money apparently. Oh... "I never really fought with anyone, I guess I was better with words than fighting." she said, shrugging. She followed Kennedy's gaze to his hand, it had really upset him... She covered his hand with her own. "It doesn't matter anymore, you can control it now." she said. Ach, she wasn't great at the comforting thing. But she tried her hardest.

"Don't worry," he said. "I'm not a professional myself." Ha! He was far from that, but he didn't care. This was for fun, after all. Kennedy smiled, "I don't suppose we can hex the disks to move then?" he joked. If they couldn't charm them, then hex them. Hehehe. "So, this is kind of like Chess, like I said, but you are only allowed to move your disk on the darker squares," he explained signaling at the squares with his index finger. "Do you wanna go first?"
SPOILER!!: Checkers Board
He smiled back with a true smile. "Yeah, I got you...a-and my other friends," he said, quickly. Easy Escalante, you don't want her to think you're all mushy and stuff. NooOoo, he was not going soft.
"Really?" Kennedy said, his eyes growing wide. He didn't know people of his kind did that. He wasn't the only one, what a relief. "At least you didn't burn half a school down," he said, a hint of a ghostly smile on his lips. Aurora's confession had made him feel less guilty. Yeah, he felt bad for shocking the kid and for damaging the school, but it happens. At least in the wizarding world. "Well, where I'm from, you have to know how to throw a punch or two." Although, he mostly...well always tried to back down. Kennedy felt his face grow warm once again when Aurora covered his hand with her's. She was holding HIS hand! Kennedy looked up, "Thanks." It did make him feel better. Now, did he know how to control it? He guessed. No more weird things have happened lately. "I guess I can." Yeah, he did feel a tad proud of that.
Here goes! Have an EPIC POST! (Has to be my longest ever, or close)

Aurora chuckled, "That's okay then." she said, grinning. "Not sure about hexing them... unless you don't mind leaving burn marks on the board." she added. Hmm... now, hexes she knew about... but she couldn't think of any to make the discs move. "Alright... so what are the other squares for?" she asked, gesturing to the white ones. Then she picked up a counter (C3) and moved it diagonally (to B4). "Like that?" she asked.
Her eyes lit up a little, "Yeah, I don't know about your other friends, but I'm here for you." she said, immediately regretting it. Honestly Aurora, just because you... er... liked someone, didn't mean you had to start being mushy and nice all of a sudden.
"Yeah, all the time. My brother once blew up the greenhouse. And my uncle works in Environmental at the ministry so there was a bunch of important plants in it." she said. Then she looked down, a little bashful. "Not a school... no." she muttered, biting the edge of her lip. "So, life was rough at home?" she asked, "I mean, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to." It was then that she realised she was still holding his hand... she took it away quickly and tucked a strand of her long, red hair behind her ear. Then she noticed he was blushing, why did he have to keep doing that? It made her want to grab him, cuddle him and never let go! She shook herself a little. Just don't look at him when he blushes...
Aurora glanced up as she heard a ruffle of feathers and there was Sage, standing tall, right in the middle of the checkers board - his talons having not disturbed even one counter - holding out his leg. She untied the letter and fished in her pocket, locating an owl treat and tossing it to him. He caught it in mid air and immediately took wing and flew off to the owlery. She was going to put it in her pocket to read later but it was a pretty fat letter and.. ”One moment, Kennedy, that’s my Mother’s hand writing.” she said, looking at the front of the letter, honestly, her Mother had only written a few days ago, what could be so important?. She tore it open and three pieces of paper fell out - three different styles of hand writing - three different languages. A sharp, italic script in German - her Mother. A dainty french letter - her sister, Tiff, and a shaky English letter... from who..? She couldn’t identify the handwriting so she put it aside for now, she’d read it last. She glanced over her Mother’s quickly, reading a word or so every couple of sentences... dull... dull... dull... new healer for Krys... different treatment... blah blah blah... something about Rufin... dull. Dull. Dull. She’d probably hear it all anyway... She couldn’t be bothered with German right now so she didn’t read it properly before folding it and putting it in her pocket.
Tiff’s letter... Oh... it was December... that meant... She unfolded the letter, her hands shaking with excitement. ”Oh, my sister had the babies!” she squealed. She was officially... ”Aunty Ra-Ra..?” she whispered in disbelief. ”She’s going to make them call me Aunty Ra-Ra?” She pointed to the curly french words at the top of the page, forgetting Kennedy probably didn’t speak it...
Now for the shaky writing... Aurora glanced down to the bottom of the letter... KRYSPIN! That was... Krys could write! That meant he was getting better! She scanned over it... wait... that meant. ”Kennedy! My brother is getting better! Everything is going to be okay!” She looked up at him, her green eyes bright and glistening with happiness. She threw her arms around him. ”Finally, he’s alright! I’m just so happy!” It was brilliant! It was wonderful! She grinned and, in the spur of the moment, kissed Kennedy on the cheek.
Wait... oops. O____o
She gasped a little and it was one of those incredibly rare moments when Aurora’s cheeks flushed a little pink. "I err... sorry." she said, biting her lip. "I’m just kind of excited..." Oh no... You weren't supposed to actually do that, Aurora.
Aurora chuckled, "That's okay then." she said, grinning. "Not sure about hexing them... unless you don't mind leaving burn marks on the board." she added. "Er, maybe we shouldn't do that," he laughed, "It's the Professor's board." He didn't want points to be taken from Slytherin for destroying a game board. Hmm, he would have to buy his own and then try it.
The other squares? "Umm, I...don't know actually. They've always just been there," he said, rubbing the back of his neck again. Why were they there. "Yeah! Perfect!" he smiled. Now, it was his turn. He took the disk from B6 and moved it to A5.
"That's really nice of you, really." It was the truth. So, far her and Daichi were the only ones that have stuck with him. Feenella and Eris seemed to have disappeared or they were just probably busy doing something else.
Her brother blew up a greenhouse? That was COOL dangerous. "Wow," he said. Both times he had shown unintentional magic was when he was angry. Emotions probably triggered that. Kennedy shrugged. "Kind of...I mean, I never really fit in with the cool people." He didn't mind anymore, he was used to it. After Aurora took her hand away, Kennedy did the same, and acted like if he was petting his sleeping Pygmy Puff. This was kind of awkward for him. What was he supposed to do? What did it mean?
Kennedy spotted an owl flying towards him and he almost freaked out. The bird was going to mess their game up! Then, the bird landed a lot more gracefully than he would have guessed. Phew. Kennedy nodded and waited for Aurora to read her letters. Hmm, he should be getting his mom's soon as well.
Babies? Aunty Ra-RA? Wow, Aurora was an aunty...wow. She was young. "Congrats, Aunty Ra-Ra!" Kennedy chuckled. This must be a huge moment for her. Heck, if he would ever be an uncle he'd be happy too, but that wasn't going to happen since he didn't have any siblings. He couldn't understand the writing on the letter, just the Aunty Ra-Ra part which kind of told him everything.
Kennedy was about to say something when......
O_____________O
.......
SHE KISSED HIS CHEEK! OH MY CANARIES!
He was going to pass out. Kennedy was SO going to pass out. This was too much for the poor boy. The only kisses he's received were from his mom, but she was Mom so it didn't count. Oh man...oh man...oh man....
Not showing his internal freaking out moment, Kennedy managed to keep a proper posture. "I-I...U-U-Uhh...I-I-It's a-alright," he said, trying his best to keep a straight voice.
