Right, so, they were done talking about everything else, right? He'll keep on smiling and stop mentioning the studying for a bit...and...actually, no. He had no smiles at the moment.
Wrong? Was he wrong? The word 'afford' was rather strong, he supposed himself to be right about this. Supposed. Treyen still looked away as she spoke, and the scenery out the window seemed to gain his focus for the little amount of time he spent gazing at it.
Ellie could've just taken off with her broom by his stupid questioning...it was stupid enough because...what was he asking from her, anyway? He knew she had responsibilities to her House team, just like he did to his House. But...okay, maaaaaybe he'd been wrong, somewhat. That didn't make his concern to be less than true. The Prefect didn't truly care if she had time for him or not, he was mainly trying to make a point, and failing at it. He was perfectly fine with seeing her once a week, after all, they were barely a little bit more than friends, right?
It wasn't fair for him to say what he did, but there was a point to that, and he just begun to feel worse after she apologized, at which point his eyes were on her.
"No, I'm sorry...I shouldn't have...," shouldn't have what? Because he'd seemed genuinely upset about it at first...so, clearly, some of what he said was completely true, or everything was, "...you don't have to be sorry, really, I should be." Because she hadn't moved away from him even though she had the chance.
'Why?'. He'd missed that. And a small smile made a sudden appearance. He'll answer, soon enough, "Because...," he started again, "...I like you, and I don't like to see you worrying over something that doesn't matter as much to you as it does to everyone else," he also wanted his favorite Ravenclaw to win the Quidditch Cup, "That actually messes up with Quidditch," wouldn't HE know?
"One day off everything will do your mind good." She should just spend one Sunday with friends doing absolutely nothing. That was rather refreshing.
And now he smiled, she was missing an incredible insight on the whole thing, "But you did well, and I'm not talking about getting the Snitch because we both know you didn't." Yeah, Lockhart, nice one. "But your team killed out there on the Pitch," Hufflepuff didn't even score a single point, except for the Snitch points, "Your job as Captain has been flawless so far. A small amount of pride is acceptable."
His eyes were back on the window, "Practice every single day if you want, but take a day off for me." Just one. She didn't need to stress over things. And he shouldn't be adding any stress either, which is why he didn't mention the their time together again.
He had no idea how guilty she felt.
And confused. He was confusing her. "What are you sorry for?" No, really, she'd love to know, because that was beyond her. It would probably bug her all day, too. That and the fact that she has no interests outside of Quidditch.
Thanks for pointing that out in two ways, Treyen.
Ellie knew full well why she was sorry. Because he shouldn't even think that, in her opinion.
"What are you talking about?" Her eyes were on him and her eyebrows were knitted together in a frown. What didn't matter? A lot of things mattered. Ellie just had a hard time balancing it all. In fact, it really wasn't balanced much at all.
Which made his words make perfect sense. A day off might do you mind good. Maybe. What would she do with her day off, though? She'd most likely be thinking about whatever she should be doing. It was a terrible thing, when she worried. Maybe she'd just sleep all day. You couldn't worry when you slept, right?
She didn't catch the Snitch. Thaaaaanks, Treyen. Again.
Ellie sighed. "But that's why I need to practice, see? I'm very proud of my team. But..." She took a moment to chew her lip and finger the book he'd given her, which was still in her lap. "It didn't matter, see, because I was bad. It didn't matter that Vashti didn't miss a goal, or that Max blocked all but one in his very first match, because I couldn't catch a Snitch. Everyone else performed their job perfectly, and I couldn't do mine." Her team lost because of her and she was supposed lead them to winning. It was her fault. She had to practice to be better or....they shouldn't even have her as Captain.
Which was why she couldn't afford to take a day off. And she was tired of going back and forth with this. Treyen made excellent points, as well as... No, he just made good points, and Ellie was too stubborn to listen.

This boy didn't sigh this time, but he did take a deep breath before he answered. "I know you said that I shouldn't be sorry for asking or saying what was on my mind...and at least this time I don't particularly regret it...but...," the reason Treyen, don't wander off, "...I'm sorry for asking what I did, it's not precisely fair to be doing so when you have obligations to deal with." He stated, nice and simple, minus the nice part, and it wasn't simple either, so, never mind.
"And for making you feel guilty as well, it's not something I ought to be doing," wasn't he supposed to be making her feel better about everything that was going on around her? That's what friends did, and he wasn't even doing that.
He was hoping that Ellie would let this go and not start another disagreement.
Plus, he was making her frown, on top of it, "You clearly care a lot more about Quidditch than exams...so I suggest you only worry about what you care the most," just like he worried about her, of course, but he didn't say that, she'll just say he was being ridiculous again.
There. She cared more about Quidditch.
He smiled again.
"I'm not saying you shouldn't practice at all." That was amazingly true. "One last thing...," because he was done with Quidditch for good, "...your only job isn't JUST to catch the Snitch. You've put together a strong team...," all on her, yes? "...and I don't want to hear anything else about it." DONE with Quidditch.

Until his...favorite Ravenclaw won, right?
Ellie watched him with utmost curiosity. "Because I don't think you should regret something you wanted to do. This was obviously on your mind." Obligations? Yeah, those. She didn't really have any, did she? Captaincy, maybe. But that was still only one.
"It's not...Guilty's not the right word, maybe... I just feel bad that I gave you reason to think that." That wasn't how she thought of it at all. She spent all her free time practicing, yes, but...to her....it wasn't free time that she spent with Treyen. It was special time.
Meh. She rested her elbows on her lap and buried her face in her palms. Weren't they done talking about exams? "But it doesn't matter what I care about. I still have to take the exams. I'm still not ready in the slightest to take them, but I have to take them anyway. I'm going to worry about them..." AND Quidditch, of course. But the more she worried about Quidditch, the less she worried about exams. The less she worried, the less she studied. The less she studied, the less she was prepared for exams. Then, she realized just how close they were, how ill prepared she was, and it only made her worry MORE.
It was a conspiracy.
Sigh.
Treyen was right. He wasn't saying she shouldn't practice at all. Yeah...right. "But during an actual match, that's all I need to worry about." Frustrated was what she was. With herself.
But, yeah, Treyen, let's not talk about Quidditch anymore. Because it wasn't like she still wanted to talk about it or anything...

Yeah, he knew that, Ellie. She'd mentioned that before. Didn't mean that he still wasn't going to feel extremely sorry about this, because it doesn't matter if Ellie was the one to bring forth the question that started it all...he'd been the one to make her feel awful about it.
Not cool, Treyen.
He didn't mention anything else, though. IF he said something about exams or anything remotely related then they'd be back where they started. She should know she wasn't the only one that wasn't ready for exams, though, and no one ever really was. "Nothing that I say will make you feel better about this, right?" she was stubborn enough to disagree with him on...everything, yes? So, there was very little he could do.
"You know, Ellie, you ask the worst questions possible, really." He chuckled lightly after that. He'd rather have her ask 'Why?' every single time, it was easier. Look at all that came out from ONE single question she made.
In retrospective, it was funny, somehow. Or not funny...but he was missing the right word.
His eyes were still on her, even when hers weren't on him. "James' monkey was passed on to me by Lexi, by the way," yes, unrelated, he's aware of that.

"Right," Ellie said almost too confidently. Until she realized exactly what said. She gave him a sideways glance and a sheepish smile. Really, she hadn't taken anything he said as him trying to make her feel better. Treyen had just been saying things that he didn't understand. Because he didn't know what it was like to take OWLs without being the least bit prepared for them. Treyen was smart, he studied. And he didn't know what it was like to be Captain on top of those exams.
But now she saw. He was just trying to make her feel better, wasn't he? And she just didn't let him. She turned fully to him now. "Sorry." For not letting him make her feel better. She was a jerk, wasn't she? "And thank you." For trying.
Ellie grabbed her bag and put the Quidditch book inside, carefully moving things around as she did so, so that nothing would break.
Wait. She asked the worst possible questions?! She'd only asked one simple question. One yes-or-no question. It was Treyen and his follow up questions that were bad.
But she wasn't going to go on him about that. Mostly because she was looking at him now, and he was smiling. And Ellie didn't want to make it go away.
"James' monkey? Rufus?" From Lexi? Quidditch Quitter Lexi? Ellie wasn't even aware that girl had him. She just presumed James took little Rufus with him to Merlin knows where he ended up after Hogwarts. "That's..." Awesome! It was awesome! She was grinning now. "You have to let me meet him. James was supposed to introduce me forever ago, but he never did." And she was so monkey deprived.
Sure, it was slightly weird to think of Treyen with a monkey, but it was so COOL at the same time.
So cool, that Ellie could easily move on from their way-too-long exam/Quidditch talk. That she started, apparently.

Then...that was it.
No more mentioning anything about whatever it was they were discussing, because clearly he couldn't say a single word that will make her feel any better.
Then she seemed to have realized something, or at least understood what he'd said when she...apologized, yet again. She didn't have to. But, there was only one answer for BOTH the 'Sorry' and the 'Thank you', which is why he leaned towards her to kiss her cheek. That was a good enough answer. One she couldn't possibly object, right?
"Yes! I keep forgetting his name," he said, slightly ashamed for that last part. Honestly, he'd even asked Lexi who Rufus was. But...Ellie seemed surprisingly happy about the fact that he'll be the temporary owner of Rufus. Odd. Truly odd. He still smiled, "Sure, I'll have him for as long as I'm in Hogwarts...I think there'll be time for you to see him." See. Not take care. Because Ellie wasn't the greatest when it came to pets.
Only Cliodna was the one who appeared to be alright. And owls could take care of themselves. That was probably the best pet for this particular Ravenclaw.

Ellie got a kiss? After all that?
Treyen really was too nice sometimes. She should really listen to him for once. He didn't deserve not to be listened to.
Rufus, yes. Heh. It really wasn't that common of a name. Hopefully, Treyen will remember it now that he'll be looking after the marmoset. "Great," she smiled. Finally. Because that was two years ago that James was supposed to show her Rufus. He'd failed.
So...they were completely done with the talk that made her uncomfortable now, right? "How were your holidays?" She could ask that?

Treyen still didn't get it. It was just a monkey, yes? What he liked of it all was the fact that it had belonged to James at first, and that Lexi took him in when James gave him to her...and now, he was taking him from Lexi and he'd promised to take VERY GOOD care of the monkey, something he'll be doing for sure.
Now, she was asking about the holidays, his holidays...he wasn't asking about hers, most certainly not. "Pretty good, actually." he said, with a nod, and almost sounded surprised at his own answer...why? Simple, "We met at my uncle's place in Romania this time," and he happened to dislike Romania quite a bit, BUT...he had plenty of fun with his cousins and the whole family anyway, so, it was a very good holiday overall.
Plus, the book he'd given Ellie came from that holiday as well.
"I'll probably spend the next holiday at Hogwarts, though," and honestly, he'll do that, if the choice belonged to him, "Since it'll be my last one and all." It made sense, total sense.

Her eyebrow went up at 'actually'. Why was it that Treyen never seemed excited about the holidays? He didn't seem like he'd wanted to go home last term, either. Ellie remembered.
"Romania?" His uncle lived in Romania? "That sounds like fun." Wicked. Romania was so...exotic. So dragon-y. Actually, he had family that worked with dragons, right? Because of that story, he'd talked of dragons and made the cards fly. Cool stuff, that was.
Yeah...See, Ellie just didn't understand that at all. Why in Merlin's name would you stay at school during the holidays? Why would anyone choose school over home and family?
...She didn't like that, either. "Shhh." No 'last'. Why'd he say 'last'. There was no need for 'last'. "What does that have to do with it, anyway? Why would you stay here?" Nonsense.

Mmmhmm. Romania, she'd heard correctly, and so he nodded with a small smile. "Yeah, that's uncle Lex's country of residence since he left Durmstrang," considering he was as old as his father, then he'd been in there for most of his life. Treyen often wondered which House his uncle would've belonged to, he was no Hufflepuff for sure.
The smile on his face widened a bit, "It was. I kind of prefer it when we meet in England, though," preferences that didn't matter, really, because it had been a few years from the last time they'd been to Romania.
What? She was shushing him?
Oh.
OH. Words and Ellie. For some strange reason he still had a smile on his face, the same small one from before. "I like it here, I like Hogwarts...and...I," this was the hard part wasn't it, it was also the part in which he looked out the window, "I won't be returning after my seventh year, so I figured I'll stay here for as long as I can," except, maybe, Hogsmeade on an occasional weekend.

She tilted her head to the side. "Your uncle went to Durmstrang?" You know, Ellie found that she really liked learning about Treyen's family. It was just interesting to her. Whether it was his family, or her lack of knowledge of her own family, it was just kind of fascinating.
Hmmm. Usually, she would comment on how exotic Romania was, and so it would be more fun to meet there, but she couldn't really talk when it was about the holidays. Her house was where they all always met and she wouldn't want it any other way.
And he.... Her eyes were on him until he actually said it. Then, she followed his lead by looking out the window. "Shhh. That's not for forever anyway..." She bit her lip. In truth, it wasn't forever away. It was still well over a year before he left, but it felt closer somehow.
Ellie still didn't understand why he'd want to stay at school during the holidays, though. What did those who stayed do anyway? It had to be awfully boring.

Didn't he mention that before, though? He was almost positive he had...unless he'd thought about it but never mentioned a single thing, after all, it's not like he spoke about his uncle that much.
"He did," and he wasn't the only Lockhart that had decided to take the path up North, "Don't really know why...," he should ask, "I do know my father and my uncle were nothing alike when they were growing up, despite being twins they could never agree on anything," except not liking Gilderoy Lockhart, that was the one thing they agreed on, "The choice of schooling was amongst those things, apparently."
The smile on his face remained in place, "If he'd come to Hogwarts, I think he would've been a Gryffindor," just like grandma.
And then she was shushing him again, Treyen should take the hint. No more mentioning of his final year at Hogwarts...at least not while he wasn't a seventh year studying for NEWTs...a study that had already begun, of course.
Instead of agreeing with her or not...he just took her hand.
Didn't he mention that before, though? He was almost positive he had...unless he'd thought about it but never mentioned a single thing, after all, it's not like he spoke about his uncle that much.

Interesting. So...Treyen's uncle chose to go to Durmstrang? But it was so far. And...cold. Even too cold for Ellie, probably. The uniforms the Durmstrangers wore a couple terms ago suggested so, at least.
AND Treyen's daddy was a twin? She....was pretty sure she only knew they were brothers. Pretty sure. But twins?
Cute. Twins were cute.
"That's weird. How twins could be so different..." But twins didn't necessarily mean anything. Just...you would think they'd have some kind of uber cool twin connection. "Does he have family? Your uncle?" Now Ellie just wanted to know things. Things about Treyen.
Gryffindor? "What makes you think that?" Yes, she wanted to know more. Heh.
She squeezed his hand. "You should stop thinking about the future so much." Heh. A little hypocrite, she was being. But thinking about now...."Are you busy the rest of the day?"

That wasn't necessarily true, though, because according to history...or whatever he'd read...the Weasley twins were a bit alike, and according to what he'd heard of his family...his uncle and father were complete opposites, always.
"Not always, but I guess is normal if they're different. I mean, sharing so many things can be a bit irritating to them, I suppose." He shrugged, because there was very little he knew of it all, and he was no expert. "Fletcher has a twin." Too. His name was Jack. That's why Treyen remembered.
The Hufflepuff Prefect nodded, "Yup, he actually married before my father did," and was the first one to have a kid. Luckily for Kaika, it was a boy. "And I have three cousins thanks to him." Two boys and one girl. He has five cousins total. The family wasn't that big.
Gryffindor. Right. "He's exactly like grandma in so many things...," except when it came to Treyen, "...and she was a Gryffindor." Simple logics, right? And grandpa is like Jack...they were both Hufflepuffs. And, surely, him and Kaika weren't precisely the same when it came to tastes...but that's not what Hufflepuff was about.
The future? He chuckled, "Funny you should be the one saying that." Ellie should follow her own advice. And...busy? "As a matter of fact, I am." He didn't stop talking there, though, "I'm supposed to help this pretty girl get her broom back to her Common Room before she gets to spend the rest of the day with me."Wink.

She HAD to know he was talking about her, right?
Ellie nodded. Though, really, the didn't necessarily have to share a lot, did they? Just a birthday, actually. Well, and family, but all siblings shared that. They could still have separate rooms, separate friends...separate schools, apparently.
Oh, and she knew that. About Fletcher's twin. She just...didn't know him as well as Fletcher. Or, at least, he wasn't as familiar as Fletcher. Then again, Fletcher was the one that was crowned Champion, not his brother.
So there was a whole family for Treyen to visit in Romania. Ellie wasn't really commenting. She was just absorbing this information. If she ever wanted to remember things, it was things that had to do with the Prefect. So absorbing was important.
Mmm, she could disagree on that, though. That his uncle would be in Gryffindor because he was so alike Treyen's grandma. She was pretty sure she was MUCH more like her daddy, but she wasn't in Gryffindor. Which, actually, she was always kind of disappointed about. And she was positive her mom wouldn't be expecting so much from her this term if she was in Gryffindor.
But....why was she making that about herself? This was Treyen's family. And she knew about his Hufflepuff background. So...he had Gryffindor, too? Absorbing.
That sheepish smile returned to her face. "Yeah, I know." THOUGH, in her defense, what she would do in life was directly related to OWLs, which were her immediate future. Unlike his last term. Which was oh-so-far away. Or far enough to not be so concerned with it right now.
He was busy.... Disappointment filled her for a brief moment. Until he continued. "Well...," she said, standing and shouldering her bag, "You can take my broom, then." He did offer.

See? Incredibly ironic. It was still on his mind, though, the seventh year stuff. Just as he knew she was still thinking about OWLs. It was hard to forget about it so easily.
And...
..she understood what he'd meant. The smile on his face simply widened and he stood up seconds after she'd finished her sentence. Seconds because he gathered his bag as well, if he'd been ready he'd have stood just as she talked.
"Most certainly." The broom was being held by the boy in no time, and it wasn't until now that he realized he'll be climbing up six floors just to drop a broom...he should've suggested the Locker Room, it was relatively closer, but, whatever. He still followed her lead, and will climb those six floors, and many more if necessary.

Adam was walking around the grounds,as usual trying to find his way back up to the dormitory but he even managed to find himself lost here. Why was his life at Hogwarts riddled with confusion,an being lost in each an every way. Now,did he have to make a left or right turn, which way, which way.
He took a few steps forward an checked the corridor to his right, then he stepped to his left.In his mind, none of them looked familiar,so he just stood there, right in the middle of the hallway,as students an classmates passed him by.
"Well,Well,If I ain't awkward enough-me standing here doesn't make me look any more awkward." He spoke to himself as he swayed forwards an backwards.
As he stood there Adam began to think how he had made a pact with Jonathan to try an be friends with him,for Kurumi's sake,an perhaps for his own-trying to make sure that his image would be changing for the better. He couldn't believe himself that he,Adam Burn, had suggested them being friends-that was the last thing he had wanted when he first met Jonathan at the Suits of Armor weeks ago.It just wasn't him,to be so nice an kind to his ex girlfriends current boyfriend-no-Adam should have thrown a hotheaded ADAM BURN TANTRUM as he always did when something wasn't going his way.
"Why?Why?Why?" He asked himself, pulling his hair. Why was he attempting to be friends with someone, whom he purely disliked strongly for having her.For Adam wanting to be in his position. He was beginning to wonder if Jonathan had told her?

Holding some of her study materials in her hands, Kurumi made her way down the corridor. Studying for OWLs was hard, even harder when the person you were somewhat tutoring had the tendency of falling asleep suddenly. She needed to figure out a way to make Herbology and Arithmancy seem more interesting. At least, interesting to him since she found them fascinating already.
Adjusting the grip on the textbooks and notes, she almost didn't notice a certain red hair boy...until he began yelling a whole bunch of 'why's at the top of his lungs.
Swallowing, Kurumi decided to pretend that she didn't know about him speaking with Jonathan a few weeks ago. Jonathan hadn't told her what had been discussed, and Kurumi was pretty sure that she was glad he didn't. It was probably his little way of trying to protect her from whatever the truth really was.
"Why...what?" she asked, peeking her head to the side around a pillar.

Adam spun around."Kurumi!" he spoke breathlessly.Sure,he wanted to be rescued, but today,Kurumi wasn't exactly the person he wanted to talk to.She'd probably corner him about the conversation he had with Jonathan,if he had already told her. He'd take anyone, any day-even Selina,to have him saved from this moment. But,unlike Kurumi,he never had luck in having a random friend save him an rescue him from awkwardness.
"Oh...Umm..Can you answer me why I always get lost in this castle??Each time I go out,I always find myself lost.Does that happen to you a lot too,or is it just me an my brain?" He was only trying to deter her from the conversation he could sense bubbling in their minds.Honestly,he didn't want to be interrogated by her again,so he would take his bad lies an just walk away with a simple chat with her.
But he knew Kurumi was too intelligent. She would see right through him an his lies-just like she always did with Selina. Now that he thought about it,the girls always made him spill his bottled thoughts an secrets.
He'd just have to stray away from Jonathan, the was the last thing he needed to think about in his mind.Because if Jonathan kept popping into the front of his brain right now at this very moment,Adam was most likely to seem thinking deeply about something-which he rarely does- or his name would randomly jump out in conversation.

Why was Adam so jumpy? She hadn't meant to startle him in approaching him, but if he was going to look as though he were going to have a panic attack she would just leave him alone. "Because you, like Heather, have a terrible sense of direction?" True story, Heather still carried around a hand drawn map that she kept in her robe pockets.
One of her books began to slip, so she adjusted her hold a bit again and accidentally dropped a few parchments. She should have just brought a bag with her. She bent down to pick up the parchment and nearly lost grip on all her books again.

He furrowed his eyebrows when she answered him,but he guessed it came out more teasing, than rude.Adam couldn't help but laugh at her answer to his question.
Then Adam noticed she was beginning to slowly drop her books an ran forward to take a few in his hands as she readjusted her parchment paper in her hands. He began to wonder where she was going with all this but he decided not to ask her,it was Kurumi, the scholar, after all.She was probably off to the library to do work.
"Bet you Jonathan doesn't hold your books for you, does he?" He asked. But the second he heard himself,he mentally was punching himself.

Having stacked her books back up and folded her parchments in such a way that they tucked easily into her books, Kurumi brushed a lock of her long black hair behind her ears and glanced at him. Was he really already bringing Jonathan into the conversation? Kurumi tried not to roll her eyes and instead decided to remain calm and collected.
"He does, despite insisting that he is allergic to them," she giggled. Well, all books but Potions books that is. "But...I can't hardly expect him to just show up out of no where to carry them for me." With her free hand, she idly twisted a strand of hair around her index finger.

He watched as Kurumi put everything in it's right order an listened intently to her words. She seemed as if nothing was wrong about it.Was it wrong that he wanted to throw his hands in the air,as if praising god, whenever he heard Jonathan's name even if he had told him they'd try to be friends.
Of course. That's why she liked him.He was perfect.Just like her.Jonathan was perfect enough to carry around her books which made her probably swoon,Adam could only guess. But when he had just done it,even for a few mere seconds, there had been no acknowledgement of it.

He began as he roughly crossed his arms, hugging himself tightly, constricting his hands against his body. That's so sweet of him, risking allergies to be perfect for you..Perfect,perfect,perfect.The perfect prince charming."
Some monster bigger than the one he had for previous months already was pounding his chest.Yes,he'd try to be friends with Jonathan,that-however-didn't mean he couldn't be sarcastic about him.Friends could be sarcastic about each other an have no hurt feelings. He didn't know what it was he was feeling, but like how Jonathan had said, well,Jonathan had been wrong,Adam was not depressed about the situation.
He knew with Kurumi,he had just earned himself a one way ticket to Azkaban. But he could care less. He'd rather be upfront with her.
"Oh,an since we are on the subject of Jonathan, seeing as he stepped into our private conversation weeks ago...I'm still interested on hearing you're opinion about what I said." he added, remembering they had never gotten that far in their conversation.

Kurumi stood in shock as Adam went off on one of his hissy fits again. She blinked several times and decided that she ought to put her books down before she threw one of them at his head. Having set them down, Kurumi crossed her arms now and widened her stance a bit. "Why are you dragging Jonathan into this?" she asked now realizing that Adam still had some sort of agenda with him. Jonathan had been cool as a cucumber when she had spoken with him about the whole conversation between him and Adam, but it was clear that Adam wasn't a cucumber. More like a spicy pepper. "And if you must know, yes, he is lovely but not without his faults." Really, who wasn't?
She uncrossed her arms now and hung them at her sides, turning her head towards the ground. "Oh..." she whispered, feeling her heart begin to race. Adam wanted to know what she felt about him now? Right now probably wasn't the best time to be asking since she was currently wanting to throw her Herbology textbook at his face for being a jealous git, but she refrained. "Adam...you know there will always be some part of me that cares for you." No lies there, that was true. "But...I-I can't return the feelings that you have. I just can't." She held her hands in front of her now and wobbled a bit herself. Why? She really hoped that he wouldn't ask her that question, she knew it would only hurt Adam. What they had had been...whatever it had been. Wonderful and complicated, but that had been the young and naive Kurumi who clung to anything that brought her happiness in the world. Now, she had many things that made her happy, and Jonathan was on of those. She felt found again after being lost for a long time.

What they had had been...whatever it had been. Wonderful and complicated, but that had been the young and naive Kurumi who clung to anything that brought her happiness in the world. Now, she had many things that made her happy, and Jonathan was on of those. She felt found again after being lost for a long time.
Maybe because if he had arrived minutes after my question for you we wouldn't be having this more than already awkward conversation.Maybe you might've said something else,a different response to what you have now..That's why. That's why he's in the conversation." He answered her, moving his arms about in a wobbly manner.
"I guess,I can understand that much from you.Seeing as you can't go back to me.I blew up several times when it came to us,an each time I said I'd do better,I ended up doing more damage to you more than me." He said in a sullen tone as he looked down at the ground.Should he mention to her that it would be nearly impossible for him to not have any hard feelings against Jonathan an it would be dumbly impossible to be friends with him? No.She probably already received that answer with his sour attitude a few minutes ago.If there were only a way to show her he was going to be a friend to her,a better friend. But what could he do???Not ruin her relationship with Jonathan, but she wanted that already in the first place.Something bigger.
"We can still be friends, right?Or better friends?" Adam asked rather desperately as he looked directly into her eyes, not blinking once.He was attempting to burn through her soul.
