Treyen still didn't get it. It was just a monkey, yes? What he liked of it all was the fact that it had belonged to James at first, and that Lexi took him in when James gave him to her...and now, he was taking him from Lexi and he'd promised to take VERY GOOD care of the monkey, something he'll be doing for sure.
Now, she was asking about the holidays, his holidays...he wasn't asking about hers, most certainly not. "Pretty good, actually." he said, with a nod, and almost sounded surprised at his own answer...why? Simple, "We met at my uncle's place in Romania this time," and he happened to dislike Romania quite a bit, BUT...he had plenty of fun with his cousins and the whole family anyway, so, it was a very good holiday overall.
Plus, the book he'd given Ellie came from that holiday as well.
"I'll probably spend the next holiday at Hogwarts, though," and honestly, he'll do that, if the choice belonged to him, "Since it'll be my last one and all." It made sense, total sense.
Her eyebrow went up at 'actually'. Why was it that Treyen never seemed excited about the holidays? He didn't seem like he'd wanted to go home last term, either. Ellie remembered.
"Romania?" His uncle lived in
Romania?
"That sounds like fun." Wicked. Romania was so...exotic. So dragon-y. Actually, he had family that worked with dragons, right? Because of that story, he'd talked of dragons and made the cards fly. Cool stuff, that was.
Yeah...See, Ellie just didn't understand that at all. Why in Merlin's name would you stay at
school during the holidays? Why would anyone choose
school over home and family?
...She didn't like that, either.
"Shhh." No 'last'. Why'd he say 'last'. There was no need for 'last'.
"What does that have to do with it, anyway? Why would you stay here?" Nonsense.
