Kurumi nearly lost her control of the flattened shoes when Selina started screaming like a banshee. You would have thought they were on some ridiculous ice roller coaster and the car they were in was beginning to melt which meant that they would soon fall to their doom.

Kurumi looked down to double check that her and Selina were on the same board, which they were, so she wasn’t really sure what all the screaming was about. Unless..it was a battle cry! Selina was just getting into the spirit of the moment and roaring like a lion. Kurumi ought to join in too so as not to make Selina feel awkward that she was the only one screaming.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” Kurumi shouted after completing another hairpin turn and shooting them off towards another part of the classroom where there was a one red and another yellow panel sticking out. “Glisseo! ROOOOOOOOAR!” Kuurumi said as she pointed her wand at it and it turned white.

The two continued to glide across the floor when Kurumi noticed that they were heading straight towards a few desks. There was no time for them to be able to stop, so their only option was to duck down and glide underneath…or else make friends with a few desks.

“SELINA! DUUUUUUCK!” Kurumi commanded flapping her arms for a moment before squatting down and hugging her knees to her chest to make herself as small as possible. Given the circumstances, Kurumi was rather glad that her and Selina was two of the smaller Gryffindors.

They SHOULD be able to fit under the desks, right?

Alright Nika got that other one in only one try. The question is... Can she do it again? Hmmm? She began to "skate" Right into a wall and fell down with a loud...

THUD.

That one's gonna leave a bruise, or several... But wait! Between the stars that were floating around in her head she was able to see another red panel. She lifted her wand and weakly muttered, "Glisseo!" Before putting her head back down and taking a ten second nap on the ice.

Selina's teeth were chattering away, not because the room was cold because she was terrified. She had been perfectly contempt gliding slowly and calmly on her shoes earlier. Now she was on a death trap with her friend who had gone clearly insane. Kurumi had now taken up a battle cry and Selina only screamed louder... she was being whipped around by a crazy cookie girl!

Selina thought things could not get any more hectic, of course she was sorely mistaken. Just when she was about to jump off of the death skateboard Kurumi ducked. She snapped her head around a second too late and her face planted straight into one of the desks. At the rate she was going her feet flew up and she flew back onto her back and onto the ice. Her nose was hurting her terribly and when she looked up her eyes were in a haze. Out of the glazed appearance she saw before her she could barely make out a panel that was crimson red in the distance. Wearily she lifted her wand and whispered, "Glisseo." The red began to dissipate and Selina fell back into the ice. Her hand touched her face and she felt red, warm blood on her finger tips. "Oh bugger."

"Woah," Samira nearly lost her balance when Helena fell in front of her, but quickly composed herself and helped the fellow Slytherin up. "You OK?" Absentmindedly, Samira turned to another green panel and muttered, "Glisseo!"

Nika looked up and rubbed her eyes again and looked at her slytherin friend. "Oof." She saw another red panel and did a quick, "Glisseo!" Before putting her head back down on the ice. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ice hurts. "I need to learn how to skate."

"Ouch," mumbled Samira under her breath when she saw Nika crash into a wall. She was right. Nika was a walking disaster as it was, but on skates...!? Samira glided over and grasped her arm. "Hang on to me so you don't crash into anything else," said Samira drily. She paused for a moment when another green panel caught her eye. She turned and quickly muttered, "Glisseo!"

Nika looked up and blinked a couple times. There were three Samiras. Which one does she hold on to? EH she'd just reach for the middle one and see what happens. "You know what? I really hate skating..." She looked over and saw another red panel and with little energy she said a quick, "Glisseo." Wow, she's really getting the hang of this, not the skating of course but the spell.

"Thanks," Helena mumbled as Samira helped her up, feeling her cheeks turn into a bright shade of red. "I'm fine." Well, she was, if she ignored the fact that she was a natural disaster at this.

As the girl stood up, she eyed another green panel, and said "Glisseo" towards it. You know, even her aim got better after that Charms lesson with the chocolate frogs. Hehe.

Samira giggled and led Nika a bit in the other direction. "Don't worry, it just takes some getting used to." Or maybe not. Maybe some were just hopeless. "Glisseo," said Samira confidently as she pointed at a green panel. This was too easy.

Nika frowned a bit as she skated along side Samira. Hey maybe she's getting the hang of this---

"WOAH-WOAH!" Nika started to get off balance and her feet started to kick up in the air widely. Luckily she was able to hang on to Samira as she flailed her arm in the air. "PHEW. That was a close one." She turned her head at the sight of another red panel and flicked her wand, "Glisseo."

The thing about Hogwarts students that he was never, ever going to understand?

How they could get hurt on charmed ice or, for that matter, charmed anything.

And whatever made them think they had to go on glisseo-ing things if they couldn't stand? "If you're finding this difficult, grab a seat and sit down, alright?" Jared frowned, as Nika went past and.. almost lost her balance, all over again. The last thing he needed was students getting hurt over the whole glisseo thing.


...

Right. This lesson was officially over.

Jared resisted the urge to throw a shield in Kurumi and Selina's path as the two of them whizzed past, both screaming at the top of their lungs, the former looking like she was preparing for battle, the latter looking like she'd just been through a battle.

"That's enough, Kurumi, Selina -"

Crash, bang and Merlin.

"Those of you who can't skate, do not go whizzing around at top speed!" There were panels everywhere. No need to get right into the midst of everyone else, if they couldn't skate. He nullified the charm that had magnified his voice, as he made his way over to Kurumi and Selina. Episkey, he cast, not bothering to ask anything. Then he helped Selina to her feet, one hand on the girl's shoulder because he had a feeling she was going to tumble down again, without some sort of support to prevent it. "Alright?" Okay. Scratch that. She wasn't. "Do you want to see the healer?"

Samira glanced at Nika and almost smirked. The Professor was NOT amused. The Slytherin lightly nudged Nika and said, "He's right. You're going to break your neck. Sit." The Professor was not happy. Luckily Samira didn't do anything wrong, so she could just whistle and walk away...

Nika opened her eyes rather widely when she heard her professor speak in a tone that was anything, but happy. Uh oh. Just when she thought she was starting to do well too. She gave the professor a small, almost microscopic, sheepish smile. Heh. Oopsie?

She didn't want to give up so easily, but her professor had sorta asked her to... She wanted Gryffindor to win though. She looked at the ground as she quietly addressed her professor. "Sorry Sir... I promise I will be more careful." Maybe there was an easier way to do this? What if she just held onto Samira for dear life and hoped that the Slytherin would be able to take her around the classroom. Or better yet Nika could jump on Samira's back and have her carry the lion. Well that's an idea...?

Uh oh. Mr. Professor guy is very, very angry now. He looked at Selina and Kurumi and gave a small shrug. She was as guilty as they were. They just sort of sealed the deal. Nika saw a panel nearby and was half wanting to zoom towards it and cast "glisseo", but after what her professor had just done she wasn't sure if it'd be okay. To go cast the spell or not to go cast the spell, that is the question. Then she heard Samira talking to her and looked at her with a sheepish smile too. "I can try harder?" She hadn't even done seven panels yet.

She half marched withe her hands held out and whispered a quick "Glisseo." Because the panel was really calling her name. Then she marched straight back to Samira and grabbed onto her for deal life itself.

Eino contemplated casting Glisseo on his bottom and sliding around on it, but the Professor didn't seem to be in a good mood, so he kept the sliding to his feet. He gulped, and quickly skated away from where the Professor was, he did not want to come across Mr. Meany Pants. There were more panels at the opposite side of the classroom that weren't occupied, but all it took for him to think about it and everyone else got to them before he could.

Sure, there were many in the middle of the classroom, but that's where the most commotion was, and Eino was not too comfortable skating, yet. This charm was a lot more slippery than ice skates on ice or socks on a hardwood floor. Even when he tried to walk on the floor he couldn't with the charm.

He carefully made his way to another panel and successfully evened it with the charm. It helped that he was getting a hang of the skating part. He then cast it on several other panels before he found the confidence and courage to venture into the middle of the classroom. There were many more panels there, but also a lot more students.

Kurumi continued to scrunch herself into a ball as she whizzed under one...two...three tables and came out on the opposite side. She came to a natural stop just before she would have had to duck under desk number four. Kurumi giggled and tossed her head back. As she looked up, she spotted another uneven red panel sticking, this time, out of the ceiling and she pointed to her wand at it.

"That was some ride," she laughed before casting Glisseo and turning it white. She expected Selina to answer, but when she didn't Kurumi's expression changed to confusion. "Selina?" she asked looking over her shoulder only to see that her red-headed friend was no where to be found. "Selina?"

Kurumi stood up and peered around the desks to see Selina lying on her back with a very dazed expression on her face.

HOLY HIPPOGRIFF!

"Are you alright?!" Kurumi squeaked as she fumbled her way around the desks with her shoe-board in hand. She certainly hadn't meant to cause Selina any harm. She reached into her pocket for her handkerchief...
...uh oh...

Kurumi's body went a rigid when she saw Professor Descoteaux walking towards her and Selina looking madder than a dragon on Wednesday. Kurumi suck down into the ice a bit when she heard the tone in his voice.

Kurumi blinked, handkerchief in hand, and looked down at her shoe-board. It wasn't that she didn't know how to skate, she was just trying to make the best of her slightly failed charms attempt. Not able to find her voice as she watched him perform Episkey on Selina. "S-S-Sorry," she said to both Selina and Professor Descoteaux.

Kurumi looked down at her shoe-board and figured that it was probably for the best that she try and cast Reparo on them and try again. Besides, her socked feet were getting cold without shoes on.

"R-Reparo," she whispered waving her wand at the flatted shoes. They began to look like someone had stuck a bike pump into the shoes and were not pumping it up with air like a bike tire. Soon, her shoes were back to normal and she slipped them back on.

Wait.. what was the whole deal with everyone looking all hesitant and siddling off, now? Had he scared them or something?

The manticores... had been easier to tackle.

"That's fine," Jared said, green gaze flicking to the Gryffindor. "You can give it a shot if you want to. Just don't stress yourself out." He wasn't shooting for the Most Dangerous Class award, here. Besides, there was the whole thing about Tate's number one rule being, Do not die. He'd rather not have the Headmaster breathing down his neck. "Just be... careful."


"You're fine, aren't you?" Kurumi had looked too enthusiastic to be injured until a second ago, but with these kids, one could never tell. Might as well ask.

Wait, why was she stuttering?

...

He wasn't that scary, was he?

"It's fine," he said, giving her a bit of a wry smile. "Just be... careful, alright? I don't want you guys getting hurt."

Janice, with the help of the professor, stood up.
"Thanks, Proff."
Apparently, she forgot to 'Glisseo' the other shoe, and that made her fell.
Janice decided to just take a skate, rather than 'Glisseo'-ing the other shoe, just to make sure she didn't slip again.
"Finite Incantatem!" And her shoe became normal again. She gobbled to the pile of skates, and took a pair. After putting them on, she went circling the rink first to get used to skating after not doing so for about 2 years. Then, she went to the back of the classroom and put her shoes under her chair.
She swooped around the class, and tried to find an un-smooth panel.

Gwen was determined to do that charm right. If everyone else can do it, why couldn’t I? ‘Glisseo!!!’, she said pointing her wand at the notebook. In a few minutes she couldn’t stop grinning. Tee hee… nice going, she thought, being proud of herself. However, after a while, she established it wasn’t such a big deal to do that spell, or whatever it was…, and the grin disappeared.

Nooow- what next?, Gwen thought. Right! The panels… Finally, she pointed her wand at one of the blue panels. ’Glisseo!’,she said loud and clear. Yes! It worked, she thought when she noticed the thing getting smooth and… you know… slippery… Moving on, then.

Aiden remains at the side of the classroom watching everyone else enjoying themselves. Though Professor Descoteaux mentioned that the floor is charmed so no one will get hurt, aiden is still haunted by his past.

Hand firmly held to the wall, Aiden moves slowly and carefully around the classroom. She spots another uneven green panel and points her wand towards it. "Glisseo!"

Getting the hang of this skating lark, Penny skated her way slowly over to the next yellow panel.... slowing down before reaching it and just hit the wall slightly..

Removing her wand, she muttered "Glisseo", and watched the panel go back to normal...

Skating off to find another panel....

Kurumi nodded and probably looked like a deer nodding in the headlights of an oncoming car...or an army of witches and wizards casting Lumos. No matter what metaphor you used, Kurumi looked surprised. "Just trying to make the best situation out of flattening my shoes..." And it had been working rather well if she said so herself.

Kurumi looked down at her shoes that were now back to normal and pointed her want at them once more. "Glisseo!" she said and then held her breath as she half expected her shoes to melt themselves to her feet. After a few moments of no noticeable change, she took a peek down and saw, to her pleasant surprise, that her shoes were perfectly fine. Hey! Her shoes were fine!

In her excitement, Kurumi began jumping up and down...which was very unwise as she movement propelled her forward with her arms flailing all over the place as if she were attempting to fly.

WOOOOOOOOOOOAH!

As she flailed about, Kurumi spotted another red panel and tried to spin around to cast Glissseo on it, but she ended up spinning herself around like a spinning top all around the ice.

Once she had felt her nose run all bloody Selina fell back onto the ice in defeat. Her head was really hurting her now and she was almost certain that she had broken her nose. With her eyes closed she reached up and checked her nose once more to see if it was still bleeding profusely. It was. She let out an exasperated groan that was still kind of weak because she didn't feel so good. Not so good at all.

Just as she was about to settle into sleep land she heard two sets of footsteps running toward her. Something deep inside her willed her to sit up on the ice and try to focus her eyes. But they were hazy and hard to tell who was who. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain in her nose and she squeaked in pain. Her eyes shot straight open and saw Professor Descoteaux standing over her with his wand pointed straight at her nose. She panicked and reached for her face. Although her nose was still bleeding she could no longer feel the break.

Then someone else came up and put a hanky in her hand. Her eyes focused on Kurumi who no longer looked nearly as battle crazed. In fact the two people standing over her looked wildly concerned for her well being. She was NOT some kind of china doll that couldn't stand on her own two feet. Proving her point she stood to her feet with the help of Descoteaux, but soon discovered that she felt sick. Really sick and yucky. She swayed back and forth and answered, "I don't feel so good. My nose really hurts."

But before she could continue she saw a crimson panel in the distance staring her in the face. She weakly raised her arm and said, "Glisseo..."

It some practice around the room, where he could hand onto the wall and other people, before Eino finally got a hang of the skating and decided to move onto the big boy area. That area was the middle of the classroom. The most dangerous and slippery part of all the room. There have been rumors that some students who skated on that area never returned! Some say they couldn't get out and died! Others say they ran into a Yeti and died, too!!! This is the moment, the biggest moment of Eino's life, when he would take the dragon by the horns and become victorious!! Yes, there was much on the line. Yes, he could die, but the glory made it all worth it.

He skated to the middle of the room, used Glisseo on a panel, and it became smooth.

For a good while, Sierra had stood for the activity yet done nothing to get started. She was a little reluctant to do so. Skating? That was something she'd never tried, and trying something new in front of her peers just wasn't her sort of thing. This was a class, though, so it wasn't really like she had much of a choice.

She kicked her first shoe up and pointed her wand toward it. "Glisseo!" Then she did the same with the other one. She jerked backward a little, almost as if she was about to fall, but then she regained her balance. Okay. Skating. She could do this. Maybe. Okay, so what did she have to do now? Oh. Right. She skated very slowly to another part of the room, then shakily raised her wand arm. With her wand now aimed toward a green square, she exclaimed, "Glisseo!"

Oh, hey. Look at that... One down.

Just as he was making his way back to a safe spot, there she was. It was that same Slytherin girl from History of Magic and all those other classes, including this one. He couldn't believe he had seen her everywhere but never learned her name. He tried to pay attention to when Professors spoke to her but they only addressed her by her last name, which he knew to be Greingoth. As much as he would like to know there was no way he was going to ask. she was far too... something. It intimidated him, made him blush, gave him a weird feeling in his stomach, and made his legs and arms feel a little like gelatin.

Instead of skating her way he skated the opposite direction, towards another blue panel. He was so distracted by her that he even forgot the spell and his flicked his wand at the panel while looking at her. [j]FOCUS![/i] He shook his head, looked at the panel and said: "Glisseo!" The rough panel become smooth and Eino moved onto a different way.

He nearly fell several times because he was having a hard time focusing on where he was going and watching her. Ugh, so distracting! It's not like she was a dragon or a hydra or something! Look away! He did and approached a new panel, pointed his wand at it, and cast the spell. Luckily, this spell wasn't very difficult and didn't required an extensive amount of focus, otherwise he would be unable to successfully cast it.
