| | | Gryffindor Common Room Gryffindor Common Room
The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the entrance to the common room is the portrait of the Fat Lady, Lions must know the password and speak it to the Fat Lady in order to get through. "Gobbledygook!"
Remember that word...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you entrance to Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to crawl through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one entire wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes!
That is, unless you're in need of a nap or ready for a good night's rest. In that case, there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home! There's bound to be a perfect, your Head of House, or maybe even a house elf lurking nearby! |

It was an intriguing read, but I fould it hard to relate. I felt bad for the wolf-boy; he should have got the girl. The shiny vampire-thing was too pathetic. I just wanted to slap him and say 'man up!'" She laughed. "No, I haven't, but my dad met one once. He told me it had very good self-control, but it did have fangs, and they had to do the interview in a dark room. Not because the light would melt it (or make it sparkle), but because this particular vampire suffered from something called Photosensitivity. It's when your immune system overreacts to sunlight, making the sufferer come out in rashes." She giggled. The idea of this particular vampire made her laugh. She wasn't sure if it was true; it may have been something her dad made up when she was sad, but it was a good story all the same.

Resting his head against the back of the couch, he rolled it so that he could actually see Lexi. "It's nothing. Honestly." This was true and sincere. "I had a practice duel and I didn't block the attack one hundred percent." A small wince ran across his expression in the consideration of how it would have felt if he hadn't blocked it at all. "Just a few scratches here and there." Nothing like what the sectumsempra spell would have done.
A small shake of his head tossed the thought from memory and he gently poked her leg. "How are you. We haven't talked much lately." Lexi nodded her head and then gave a little frown. " With whom were you duelling that got you like that?" she asked as she lounged back a little more comfortably. She would hate to think of someone trying to hurt Sabel purposefully.
Then she gave him a sad little smile and said, " Well, I am well... but I am a bit homesick. And not for my new home. I kind of miss my birth family as crazy as that seems. But, I will get past it. I think it is just that the holidays are coming up. But otherwise I am well. Care to tell me what it is that has you so out of sorts these days, Sabel? I have been rather worried, but I have kept my distance because of... well just because." She shifted on the sofa and looked at him in his eyes. She wanted to help him if she could, he had helped her.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Wisteria Hartly *Witsy* Fifth Year | "Gobbledygook!" Witsy yelled. She walled through the hole frustrated. She fixed her hair behind her ears and looked around. She needed to sit, to think, to run some laps around the quiddich field, she needed something. Her robes were covered in a green/mud-like slime that a fellow first year dumped on her. She set her books by the fire to dru off along with her robs and sat on her knees watching them dry. I wonder where Rubiey is, she always made me feel better, witsy thought trying to cool down. |

She wanted to help him if she could, he had helped her. Was everyone going to keep inquiring as to who had bested him in the duel? Apparently it was not enough to simply state it was a duel. "Danika. The Drumstang champion in our house." He couldn't be sure if Lexi had met her more times after the feast, so the point of clarification seemed necessary.
But necessity quickly turned into hesitation and then a sharp stab of pain through his gut as she mentioned Christmas break and family. He had almost forgotten. That he would be flying home in a matter of weeks. That he would see his family again. A deep frown tugged at his brow as his eyes cast themselves down to watch his fingers pick at the outermost bandage about his wrist. "I'm...sorry...about your family....it must be...tough."
He fell silent after that, unsure whether he should answer her question. She had enough issues to deal with and didn't need the light of his own problems on them, but at the same time Tate's words and those of Arya and Raiden rung through his thick skull; telling was supposed to help. Once again, he found himself at a familiar crossroad.

Once again, he found himself at a familiar crossroad. Lexi made a mental note to trip that wretched girl next time she saw her. Yeah, no one hurt Sabel and got away with it. Not on Lexi's watch. No way. She just kept it all inside and nodded her head. " Mhm," was all she offered.
Sigh. Her family. It was all so complicated. " Well, I am not seeing either family for long this holiday. Finlay and I are going to Paris for a bit, so that should be fun and relaxing. I just... don't feel like I am truly ever going to be a Denver. I have tried to pretend that I am, but they are so different and I just feel like an outsider," she said and then gave a little shrug.
She let herself drift into thoughts of her Auntie Dora for a moment and then smiled. She knew that Dora loved her and cared for her no matter where she was and that made her feel better.
She looked at Sabel seriously and said, " Sabel. Please. It seems like something is eating you alive. It is always better to share those types of things. Trust me, I know. If I had been more forthcoming with all of my feelings I wouldn't have landed in St. Mungo's for nearly a year." She hated the thought of Sabel imploding like she had.

Hadn't she just starting dating the boy? A frown of puzzlement replaced his former expression of internal musings, the brief thought flickering through his mind that he would have to meet with this boy and have a nice, long chat.
It was short lived however, as she turned the attention back on him. Perhaps it was her gaze, more than anything else, that kept his eyes locked to the bandages on his arm and his fingers plucking nervously. He hadn't noticed that they had begun to tremble slightly, or that his brow had knitted itself back into an expression of the pain jabbing at his heart.
She was right. He hated to admit it, but she was right and once again he found himself admitting the painful reality that threatened to tear him apart. "My mother...is dying..."

She was right. He hated to admit it, but she was right and once again he found himself admitting the painful reality that threatened to tear him apart. "My mother...is dying..." Upon hearing Sabel's words tears immediately sprung to her eyes and she scooted down the couch and lung to Sabel as she whispered, " I am so sorry, Sabel. I know it isn't easy. Oh I have been such a crap friend lately... "
The tears were liberally flowing for her friend now. She too had lost the one person that meant more to her than anyone and she truly knew how Sabel felt right now. She held him close and stroked his hair. " Tell me all about it or tell me nothing at all, the choice is yours. But, I am not letting you go. You need to let this out or it will eat you alive. Merlin's pants, you are trembling," she said tossing her blanket over him. Lowering her voice she said, "It's okay to cry. You have to grieve, Sabel. You have to or it will kill you." |

That's what he felt when Lexi latched onto him. His arms went around her, but it wasn't so much to accept comfort as to try and provide it. A natural, instinctive response he supposed, but that didn't alter it. He simply held her, barely aware that she was stroking his hair, and rubbed her back.
The pain was still there, as sharp and searing as a knife left in the fire too long, and the tears lingered on the edge of his vision, but they wouldn't fall. "I've already cried..." He hoped, that he was simply too tired to cry, in comparision to accepting what was going on.

" I wish I could tell you something insightful that would make it hurt less... but I can't. I can be here for you though. I can help you like you tried to help me," she said softly. She stroked his hair some more and then said, " It is okay to cry. You need to FEEL whatever it is you are feeling. Release it, let it go and then try to move past all of it." She sighed and leaned her head back some to look at him with tear stained cheeks.
" I am sorry I haven't been there for you more. I am a crap friend, but I will make up for it somehow," she said as she leaned her head on his shoulder and continued stroking his hair again.

A slight frown tugged at the corners of his lips, apparently wishing to extend to his whole face rather than being confined to his brow. Bothersome thing. "I am feeling it." The response came quietly as he returned his hand to plucking at the bandages. Feeling it more than he would ever care to describe to anyone.
His plucking turned a little firmer, drawing out one of the bandage ends with his frustrated pain. "It's....not something you can just move past...." The knowledge that she had lost someone before, was one of the only things keeping his voice soft and gentle; that and his unwilling tears. "And you are not a crap friend. Just...don't worry about it."

She blotted at her eyes with the sleeve of her pyjama shirt and looked at him evenly. Placing her hand on his she tried to stop his picking at the bandage. " Do you want me to tell you how I dealt with losing Auntie Dora?" she asked quietly. She had not really spoken to anyone about this, but for Sabel she would. She would let him know what helped her through arguably the toughest part of her life thus far.

" Wanna tell me about her? It might help you feel better to remember the good times."

What did she like to do? Erm.. "Quidditch." She blurted out. "I love Quidditch. I was gutted they stopped doing it this year for the TWT." She said. The first task had been so boring! She had expected dragons and danger, not staring at caves in the freezing cold for serveral hours.
Rubiey laughed. "Yeah, I guess. I'll talk to her about it. You two should meet; you'd like her, she's very nice." She grinned. "You'll love it. It always snows at Christmas, like, super thick, so we can have snowball fights and stuff. Do you like dogs? My grandparents bought me this adorable puppy last year, called Fernando. He's sooo cute!" She laughed; she adored little Fernando more than anything! " Well, you would have fun at the castle' Rex told Rubiey." Quidditch is fun" Rex said to Rubiey." Like the Tri-Wizard Tournament?" Rex asked Rubiey. Quote:

If you never had hung out with the you never would've met me." Nodding she siad, "Well you're welcome and you can stop the piggy back whenever you get tired." " I just owled Kay" Rex told Daisy. " I owled her from Jason's castle" Rex said to Daisy. Oh, I love hanging out with first years, but it would look a little weird if I had one as a girlfriend" Rex explained to Daisy. Rex went to the couch so Daisy could ger off his back easily.

"Wanna tell me about her? It might help you feel better to remember the good times." Jaw clenching, his fingers curled and tightened again, until Lexi took his hand. Then he couldn't squeeze, he couldn't fidget his anxiety away. "I know that." His voice came strained, twisted with the agony of reality. Without fully understanding why or to what question he was answering, he shook his head. He didn't want to speak, he wasn't sure he would hold out if he did. He was too tired to cry right now. "What...helped you...with your Aunt?"

Alice chuckled. "I do wonder if a vampire would actually burst in to flames, or if it would just hurt them really badly. Or make them break out in a rash," Alice said with another small laugh. "Although according to some folklore it was the Aztecs that cursed vampires and werewolves, making vampires slaves to the sun, and werewolves slaves to the darkness."

I went to the arena expecting to see the Champions battle dragons or something, but instead we sat there watching caves for hours on end in the freezing cold." She said grumpily. Quote:

"You really have all the knowledge, Alice." She chuckled. "Maybe we could ask Taters about the vampires? He is the DADA teacher afterall. Aren't vampires classed as dark?" She said. Yeah, because that wouldn't look stupid; them going up to the Headmaster and asking if vampires burst in to flames. She giggled at the idea.

"Perhaps at our next Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson we could." Alice was quiet for a moment or too, zoning out the window. She snapped out of it. "What did you think of the first task at the Triwizard tournament? I guess I should have known we really wouldn't be able to see anything."

She jumped down and landed on her feet she wasn't as tall as him but she had gotten slightly taller, about to his shoulders now, vicotry dance, "but who said you had to date a first year. I mean I know you don't have many other older friends but you can make some. I mean look at me. All you did was introduce yourself and we became the Lady and Knight of Gryffindor. And now we're going to become the dynamic duo. I have faith in you Rex. Any girl would be lucky to have you." She smiled at him her singutare smile.

She noticed Alice zone out slightly, but didn't say anything. "Ugh. What a disappointment. I can't believe they cancelled Quidditch for that. I was really worried when that massive rumble came out of the caves, but the Head Boy calmed me down." She grinned. Oliver had made her laugh when she threw the freaky doll thing at Trixie. He had reassured her that Tate wouldn't let anything happen to them, that he woul risk his own life to save them. Rubiey believed that. From what she had seen and heard, the Headmaster was practically heroic.

Although I imagine Headmaster Tate is very careful and makes sure the competitors can be helped quickly in case something bad does happen." Alice was curious what the next challenge was going to be. "What do you think the next task will be?"
