"Maybe he killed a prison guard or one of the prisoner" she said to Timothy, she was glad that they had changed the subject.

Aw! Poor JD!

Ellie reached out a hand to him, "I'm sorry about that.." She was. They seemed close.

"I'd love to go with you," Close friend? Aw, how nice of him. They'd only had like... one? proper conversation- this one. "But you've got to get that sorted out first. At least... leave her a note or something, letting her know. I don't want you getting in trouble for going with me only because you can't find her." Some girlfriend she was.

Looking up at her again, after lowering his eyes right away that is, he smiles at her when she agreed.

"I will, I don't want to hurt her, maybe we can just be friends..." he added sadly. He enjoyed her company...but he wanted to spend time with his other friends who were also girls, without being afraid of making Anya mad.

Looking over toward the window he had last saw Anya at, his mind wanders a little. Maybe they could pick up where they left off when they were older. Doubting that would work, he still is hopeful.

Turning back to Ellie, he smiles at her again "It'll work out with Anya...maybe some time in the future we'll be together again, but..."

Good. There will be NO fighting with Ellie in the middle. And no crying at this ball either. That was a rule.

"I hope you can. You should talk it out, perhaps?" she'd never been in a relationship, but she had enough common sense to know that communication is the most important part.

She followed his gaze over to the window where he always seemed to be with that girl. She felt bad. That can't be easy.

"But.." she encouraged him to go on, setting her papers aside. He was more important than charms right now.

"But maybe we jumped in too fast. She never seems to be around anymore." thinking about the relationship they'd had over the last few years, he shakes his head.

"I won't know how she feels unless we talk. We shouldn't be in a relationship unless we're both committed. I do know that." It seemed unreal, that they'd been together for two years, but even the two years seemed like they'd really not been together during that time. A little here and there, but otherwise, not at all...

As she entered the Ravenclaw common room, Vashti looked around to see if any invites to the Alumni Ball had been placed up yet. She didn't see any, so she figured she ought to be the one to do so. Pulling out a Ravenclaw invite and a little roll of tape from one of the side pockets of her bag, she set the invite facedown against the wall then ripped some of the tape off its roll and stuck it on the back of the invite. She placed a couple more pieces of tape onto the back before she flipped it back over and stuck it to the wall. There. That was one invite down.

Ellie nodded.

"Yes, you must both be committed. But you must see each other, as well. I mean, a long distance relationship of seeing each other only a few months is one thing. But living in the same school.. the same common room and not seeing each other..." Well, that just wasn't good.

"Oh he was killed before!" she whispered, she wanted to get to know her friends better and she was excited about them meeting Jason at the Yule Ball.

'Variety of diseases....whooping coughs,measles,and so on...my sis is gonna be 7 years tomorrow...so are you going to the ball?,Namitha asked

Keeley skipped into the commone room, having just posted some fliers in the corridors. Luckily, she was all out, because everyone seemed to want a Ravenclaw invite to the ball. Plopping down on a random chair, she noticed that it was William's special chair, the one Professor V had aparrantly burned, and giggled. Where was he, anyway? Huh. She pulled out her sketchpad and quill, and went to her old habit of sketching gown designs. The girl probably wouldn't be going herself, but maybe some other people would want a dress, because after all, she could make them easily.

Nodding he agrees, sadly too. He had searched for Anya last term nearly half the term, wondering where she had gotten to. Then found out she hadn't even been there...do to her father dying.

Her father! putting his head in his hands, he isn't sure what to think now. She might feel he abandoned her now. He hoped not, I mean, he would still be there for her, but he didn't think he was ready for anything more then friendship anymore.

"Thank you Ellie" he murmurs. "I definitely need to find her, somehow."

Ellie watched JD curiously. This boy seemed to have way too many emotions all bottle up and mixed together. He needed organizing lessons. They could at least be bottled up in their own bottles. Color coordinated too. Or he could get a penseive... Though, she wasn't sure how common those things were. Probably not very...

When he put his head in his hands, she cocked her head. What was going on now? "JD, what's wrong...?" she asked him kindly. He needed to tell her. He needed to talk. Plus, she was nosy enough to want to know everything.

Then she squinted her eyes all confused like. "Thank me? For what..?" What did she do now? And no. No. "I think... she should be finding you.. Maybe.." she bit her lip. How could she say this without sounding like she was blaming him for something. Because she was SO not, "Maybe there's a reason you havn't been able to find her?" Like.. she's been avoiding confrontation. Don't know why... girl's were too complicated. Ellie couldn't figure them, or herself, out either sometimes.

Pinching the top of his nose he sighs, lowering his hands. "I just remembered, her father had died last term, and she came back this fall. I'm afraid she might feel I'm abandoning her now."

Shaking his head, he goes on "I just don't think I'm ready for the relationship, I like her and all, but...well if we were to stay in the relationship, I'd actually like to see her for one, if that makes sense."

Looking over at her as Ellie says Anya should be finding him, he thinks about that. "You think...? Well, if I see her I think I'll bring it up, but maybe...I won't keep searching the entire school for her anymore."

Well that was a shock. Her dad died... How sad. Don't make Ellie cry! Jeez...

She didn't talk the whole time JD was. No interruptions. Then she took a minute for it to sink it. To find words to say to him.

"I think.. she may just not want to see you. If you see each other, she'll have to talk. And there are probably things... way beyond what she even knows.. that she feels.. And can't bring herself to even think about... Maybe when she's ready, she'll come to you." Yup. "But you can't forget her. You can't even act like you've moved on.. Just... that you've been waiting.. until she was ready.." Maybe...

Now Ellie was getting all confused. She didn't know what she was saying. If what she was saying made sense. Ugh... "JD.. I don't think.. we..." No. "I think you should talk to her before we make any plans final... I'll go with you... for now... but if you two make up or whatever it is that needs to be done, and you want to go with her... then I want you to.." She was referring to the ball, of course... She just had a nasty habit of leaving things out..

"Wow, he would be fascinating to talk too!" she whispered back, "My mother was a witch and veela but my dad was a muggle."

"Alrighty then, well what else do you want to talk about?"

Timothy smiled briefly.

"Ohhh," Tyler said softly and looked down at his feet. Wow, Namitha was really sick. Ty sure didn't expect that. "Well, I'm glad you're doing a lot better I hope," he smiled and leaned on his seat. "Aww, little kids are growing up so fast," Ty laughed. He then had flashbacks on remembering how small Katy used to be and now she was fourteen. A very handful and annoying teenager. Ehh. "Yup, are you?"

"Mmm, how are you going with the homework and lessons" she asked her friend, she was glad that she had friends around her.

"Well the homework has been rather tough to keep up with, but I am managing. I really enjoy DADA....quite fun."

Timothy smiled at her, he wanted so badly to tell her about him and Maddie going to the ball.

"Jason is my date for the Yule Ball!" she told Timothy and then she said "I love Herbology, I am hoping to become a healer".

"Wow, I hope I get to meet him, he seems like an interesting person...."

Timothy smiled, "Yes the world always needs more healers, it is a dangerous place."

He looked around and motioned for them to keep the conversation quiet.

"I am going to take Maddie to the ball!" Timothy was very excited to share the news burning a hole in his chest.

"He has invited you and Maddie to his castle!" she told Timothy and then said "Oh my god! Are you going with her friend or are you dating?" she said as she hugged Timothy.

'Hi...',said Namitha in a friendly way to the girl.She wanted to make new friends.


'Yeah..I'm alright..And the ball?No..nobody's asked me..who are you going with?',Namitha said.

Snapping from her daydream, Keeley looked up. Oooh! A person! Fun! She smiled widely and waved cheerfully to the girl. She couldn't be but a year older than herself, now could she? Well, no matter. They were both eagles, so they were automatically buddies.
