Selena and Diggy showed up at the food table and her mouth was almost watering at the sight of all the food. Yum... The choice now was what to eat, one of the hardest decisions ever. She looked at Diggy. "What do you think tastes good?" she asked him. She couldn't decide!!

He smiled as she tugged him off the dance floor. It was like a spell was broken because as soon as they left the dance floor he felt his feet throbbing in his shoes. And his stomach was rumbling. He followed her over to the table wondering what he wanted to get.

He had no idea what tasted good they had an international menu. "Um I'm going for the chocolate fountain," he told her honestly.

Lexi gave her brother a LOOK and decided that she might just test this big brother thing out a bit... see how far she can push him. Teehee. "So you're saying that if I brought a boy home over the holidays you would be unhappy?" she asked with a mischevious grin on her face. She could make someone come over while they were home.

Dylan frowned slightly. "This holiday? I thought we were moving you in and decorating and stuff?" She was joking right? She wouldn't invite someone round to their house over the summer. Because she needed to settle.

Selena looked at the chocolate fountain. It did look good... but she was hungry, not starving for sugar. Perhaps some real food... there was so much to try!! Maybe she should load up on desserts, because they were just awesome that way. "Alright then... I guess I'll get... that," she said as she filled her plate with that thing that seemed like really tiny noodles and some dumplings. Yum.

HMPH.

Basically Carter had JUST told her she was doing that stupid dance wrong. Even if he didn't come riiight out and say it, Destiny KNEW that was what he meant. She stopped hopping up and down and folded her arms across her chest. "You keep shaking your foot like that, it WILL fly off."

As she thought about his foot flying off, she couldn't help it, and she burst into laughter. All that chocolate she had was putting some strange thoughts into her head. "What WOULD you do if it fell off?" she asked. She knew what she would do with his foot..

..and it had something to do with that chocolate fountain.

Still laughing at the thought of Carter losing a foot, Destiny unfolded her arms and placed her hands on her knees to catch her breath. "I..I..am not crazy!" she said through the few breaths she managed to catch. Her grandmother is the crazy one, not Destiny!

Standing up straight, she started to hop on her foot again, a few laughs escaping. "Can we climb a TREE next?"

It would be easier to catch the chocolate rain if they were HIGHER up!

Marie was still standing there eating chocolate covered strawberries when Destiny said Carter's foot was going to fly off just as she bit into a strawberry that was LOADED with chocolate. Unable to hold in her laughter she watched as chocolate spewed out of her mouth and splashed Destiny on the head. This made her laugh even harder. Then a idea popped into her head.

"Destiny! You're doing it, you made it rain CHOCOLATE!" Oh yeah, the proof was in her hair. "You don't have to climb a tree to get the chocolate rain." Nope, the chocolate was coming to her. "Keep dancing, only go faster, maybe it will rain more chocolate." Oh yeah, she was going to make her friend look like a total fool jumping around there.

Could this night get any better than this?

He got a few chocolate covered strawberries but then he say the chicken tenders as his eyes lit up. He loved those things and they even had honey mustard sauce. He loaded his plate with a few of those and some packets of the sauce. He looked at Selena's plate. "They have yorkshire pudding too," he pointed with his fork.

Jade glanced around once more. It was possible that she had missed Mina, but she kind of figured she wasn't there after all. Her cousin did manage to blend in a bit, but she had a feeling she wasn't there and was probably elsewhere.

Looking back to Jayden, she shook her head. "I don't think so, but than again I was a bit distracted with you on one knee," she teased. How was she supposed to notice anything else when something like that was happening before her. "You know, if I know her at all, she's either outside or hiding somewhere."

Selena smiled and took some of the said pudding. She hadn't eaten pudding in a while. "Should probably eat something a little healthier," she pointed out. Though she really shouldn't be talking because she wasn't exactly the healthiest person ever. After all, she did think sugar was part of the food pyramid... a very essential part in her opinion. But still. She took some of the green healthy stuff too. At least it was green... didn't mean she loved it though.

"I knew it was you!!! I knew it!" The pretty blonde said bouncing up and down... up and down. What could she have him autograph? She looked at her boyfriend and had the thought of shoving Teal to Nik and saying 'Sign Him for me' but opted against it... Teal may not like that. "Uhmmm I don't have anything for you to sign..." She said, her lip starting to quiver. This would be awful if he didn't sign something!

Huh?

Destiny stopped hopping when she heard Marie's words and felt the chocolate hit her in the head. She immediately looked up towards the ceiling and a frown crossed her face. She didn't expect it to really rain chocolate, since they were indoors and all, and now that it was raining, she wished it wouldn't. She was wearing a WHITE dress for Merlin's sake!

"Noooo!" she turned to Marie, before reaching on the table for a napkin. After she wiped off her head, she turned to Carter waving the napkin in his face, "Stop! You can't have it rain INDOORS! We'll have a flood."

Not that Destiny would mind a chocolate flood..but she was sure everyone else would.

She placed another napkin over her head to guard it from any stray chocolate raindrops. "Can anyone conjure up an UMBRELLA!?"

Teal was a big Quidditch fan, like most men were. And it really did take him WAY to long to realize... I mean, why was Ariel doing that?

Double take. Blue eyes widened a fraction. NIK VANNACUT.

He really was a superb chaser. Teal considered himself an adequate keeper back in his day, he wondered how he'd stack up against the young gun. He honestly had too much pride for an autograph. Teal was an important man himself for Merlin's sake, once controlled the Magical Creature Department at the Ministry. He put a hand on Ariel's shoulder,

"I'm afraid I don't either." Total lie, he had a notepad in his pocket. His hazy blue eyes scanned the pro Quidditch player before extending a hand. "Teal Andrus," he said professionally. That was just how Teal was, ALPHA MALE. No exceptions. Ariel was his territory.

They were piling their plates down and Diggy was glad to see that Selena was a girl who actually ate food. He really hated those girls that ate like rabbits. Not even his mother did that and she was a tiny pixie sort of woman. He grabbed some chips and a bottle of gilly water. "You ready? I can carry your plate for you." he offered with a shy smile.

Selena smiled and looked at her plate... which seemed pretty full. Oh wells, she was hungry. And she could really care less. It was food, and that was all that really mattered to Selena. "I suppose I am," she said as she glanced at the table filled with the lovely food platters then back at her plate. Was she...? Hmm... Yeah, she was finished. Anymore and she wouldn't be able to move. "Um... no, it's fine, you have your hands full,I can hold it myself," she said politely and with a smile. She picked up one of those yummy looking strawberry smoothies.

"Ahh...now everything makes sense," Vindictus responded rather slowly. Time for him to try explain himself without making Nik uncomfortable. "See, I was being heavily recruited by Durmstrang to take over their Quidditch program back in 2060 but I turned them down. Twice."

He cleared his throat and changed the subject. "So you were here before I took the job and that means you must have been playing at the same time as my goddaughter." A slight turn of his head and he nodded towards an attractive brunette woman wearing a wine-colored strapless gown. She was moving slightly as she spoke to a blonde haired man and her movements caused the diamonds she was wearing to sparkle.

But before he could say anything else, Vindictus was shocked as Nik was suddenly being mobbed by some obvious fans.


"Now that is what I call outstanding Beater work, Willow! Well done!" Vindictus exclamied as he stepped away from Nik and focused on Willow. And that meant he had to explain himself to her regarding the woman he was pointing out to her date. "That woman is a former Ravenclaw captain like yourself and she's gone on to do quite well professionally. Her name is Kayleen Harrison."

FOOD. FINALLY!

Cale made a beeline straight for the food table as soon as he and Anna came in from the gardens, immediately eyeing all the food on there. He was confused, though--what WAS half of this stuff? Hmmmm. Should he try it? He wasn't sure if he was in the adventurous mood today or not...

Taking a plate and grabbing a quesadilla, he looked around for Anna. "Over here!" he called. "Look at all this fun food!"

Stepping back into the ballroom...er, Great Hall...Anna followed her husband over to the food table. If she was being honest with herself, she really was a little hungry, so eating didn't seem like a bad idea at all. Besides, if she and Cale didn't eat now, one or the other would to cook when they got home...and she just wasn't in a cooking mood.

When her husband called for her from halfway down the table, Anna playfully rolled her eyes and made her way to him. "Fun food, huh? Hmm...I think I'll have some Yorkshire pudding...and a strawberry," she said. "Oh...look, Cale! A chocolate fountain!" Strawberry in hand, Anna made her way over to the fountain and dipped her fruit in.

Just then, she happened to catch a familiar face---two familiar faces, actually---out on the dance floor. Smiling, Anna waved to both Evee and Plym. She'd been in touch with Evee and talked to her fairly often, but it'd been years since she'd seen Plym.

"Oh yes. I have heard rumors that ladies completely lose their minds at the sight of a guy on one knee." Jayden said with a knowing nod.

"Shall we head to this pond that you were speaking of?" he suggested.

Carter continued dancing (while completely ignoring Destiny's weird comments about his feet) until he saw Marie spit out of the corner of his eye. He tried his hardest to keep a straight face. So far it seemed like he was doing great. He completely stopped what he was doing when Destiny yelled stop and watched to see what would happen next.

She thought she actually made it rain chocolate!!!

"Wow Destiny. That's amazing! You must really want chocolate! I had to dance for nearly an hour for anything to happen when I was learning." he told her.

Well... now what was he supposed to do now that the song ended? "Want to dance Destiny?" he asked her. "We could switch partners for a song." he suggested. Hopefully that was alright with Marie. After teaching the girl a rain dance he felt like he deserved a real one.

Willow's green eyes followed Professor Vindictus', and briefly stared at the woman he was speaking of. Oh, yes. Kayleen Harrison. "Montrose Magpies, yes? I've heard a lot about her." She'd played for another team at some point, too, had she not? Hard to... remember. After all, the only reading Willow actually deeply enjoyed was that of Quidditch, and as the Ravenclaw she was -still was, if anyone were to ask her- she'd devoured all the books that regard Quidditch that she'd managed to get her small hands on. "She is a chaser, correct?"

Jade shook her head ans smirked at her date. "You are so terrible sometimes, but you know I like it," she smiled as she linked her arms with Jayden.

Giving the area one last glance, she smiled and looked up at him. "Do lead the way, kind sir." she smiled innocently as she batted her lashes at him.

"Ah, yes," he shook the man's hand, while vaguely listening in on the conversation Vindictus was having with Willow, "As evidenced, no introductions are necessary from my part..."

Smirk.

There was a perverse satisfaction gained from watching other men get all huffy and possessive when he so much as looked at their girlfriends/wives/sisters/daughters/mothers etc. It was terribly unhealthy for his already bloated ego.

"Perhaps we could take a photograph instead?" he suggested, looking around for a camera, when he heard ---

He turned to the woman that Vindictus had pointed out earlier, since he had not bothered to look then, "Pardon me, did you say..." aaah, yes, there was that overly confident profile, "Kayleen Harrison."

It wasn't a question.

Her attention was diverted back to the other girl as she made a rather rude remark about her being a Prefect. "What?!" Nancy replied coldly before her eyes fell on the way she was rubbing her throat. Err...oh, THAT. Had she been insensitive? But...but...okay, yes, she probably had been. "I'm sorry...you okay again?" Nancy added softly with an apologetic smile on her face. Yes, goooooood Prefect.

"You. Did. WHAT?!" The apologetic smile from before? Yes, it had turned into something more like a grimace...an unfriendly grimace. Very unfriendly. "You ate all the apple pie?" She couldn't have...was it wrong that it gave her a tiny bit of satisfaction that the girl almost choked on it? Yes, probably, right?!

Glaaaaaare!

Lexi simply shrugged one of her little shoulders and flip her hair back. "I am... but that won't take ALL holiday, will it? I am not allowed to have SOME fun while I am getting settled in? We will be there for months," she said with a smirk. She really had no intention on inviting ANYONE round their house... she didn't have any friends besides Dylan really....

Kay walked up to the table to order and saw the they didn't have Butterbeer. *crap* what would she get now Rex wanted butterbeer. Well they have strawberry smoothes? Ok maybe that would work.

"Umm..Could I get two Strawberry smoothes please." She asked and waited to see if the others were coming or not.
