Walking off through the dance floor, Katie wandered toward the food table with no real interest in eating or even snacking on a strawberry. Really, she was there to look for Mathias and any of the other boys she might find near the food; she just expected Mat to be there, despite not seeing him earlier.

Slowing to a halt near the table, out of the way of others (unless she was standing on front of what they were after), her dark eyes scanned the many heads - particularly the somewhat shorter, yet still very tall (compared to her) ones. There was kids at the chocolate fountain and Mat was not one of them, how strange. For a second Katie's mind drifted to thoughts of possible concern, and then she caught sight of another of her Gryffindor boys. "Orlando Renaldi," Katie started, once again absently smoothing the black fabric of her dress as she quickly went around the table to join him behind it. A smile played upon her lips and she raised her eyebrows questioningly, "What in the world are you doing over here and why are you pouting? I've been looking for you!"

Emma smiled and shook his hand. "Yes, chocolate is delicious! I love it! Nice to meet you Daniel. What year are you in?" she asked. "I'm a first year Slytherin." ha, in the old days her parents told her that if you added Slytherin to your sentence that the new person would give you a cold shoulder. But Emma was sure to change this.

Elizabeth smiled as she was suddenly pulled into another Robert hug, then tilted her head back to look up at him. "No, it's not. Quite happily," she said, before tilting her head back straight again as he scanned the garden over her head. Sometimes there was an advantage to him being so tall. he could check things out and she could just wait til he said anything. But he didn't, so she figured there wasn't anyone around that they knew. Or that he was going to feel the need to drag her over to, at least. So back to going back inside.

Trying to figure out where they should go first, her train of thought was interrupted as he responded to her teasing comment about him still growing, and then she laughed. "It'd be worse than Muggle basketball players and their wives," she observed, a faint moment of wondering if he'd even understand the reference. But it was out now, so she couldn't take it back. And it was true, anyway. If he was nine feet tall, and she was still her normal five foot four, it would definitely be worse. And more hilarious. But then he answered her question about who they should tell first, and she grinned at him. "No plans? Interesting," she replied, as he started leading her back inside. She could go with the idea of telling whomever they found first. Especially if it let her figure out exactly how to tell Mari, and another thought hit her as they arrived at the food table again. It figured he'd go there. "Do my parents know?," she asked. Or Jonathan. Any of them, it would have surprised her they could keep a secret that long. However long it would have been.

Leilani couldn't help but giggle at the fact that he was still trying to train his turtle. Sigh, when would he learn? Leilani nodded though and pretended to be un-amused. Then he got to the part about her meeting people. *eyeroll* Yeah, she didn't 'meet' people. Either they met her or she stayed out of their way, that's how it worked.

"Uhhh, yeah. Sure. Sorta." Leilani mumbled. She'd met him, Selena, Violet, Bradin and.... Kevin. Hmmm, subject change! "You know, I don't think I've ever met anyone you know." Actually the same could be said about him but that was besides the point. At least he knew people.

Jimbo was oblivious to the quick subject change.
He furrowed his eyebrows and stopped chewing for a second. Then he grinned and laughed. "Why?" he asked, mouth full.

He took a second to chew and swallow then put down the chicken he had been eating. "Are you anxious to meet my friends?" Er...friend really. He realized he didn't really talk to many people for too long. There were Monty's friends though. But they weren't really HIS friends.

He mostly only talked to Monty, it seemed. And he hadn't even realized it until now.

"What's with this sudden urge to know who I know?"
He grinned at her. Did this mean she wasn't making much friends? Ah yes, she's helpless without The Farley. Nobody can manage without The Farley.

"Uhhhhhhhhh..." Wow. She'd actually just said that. Funny when you think it's just in your head and then it's not. "Well," Leilani started. "Uhhhhh... Because ummm... Because that would make us closer as friends!!" Bahahahahaha!!! Oh yeah, that's some serious cheese right there!! Leilani grinned as if to accentuate the point that she had no idea what so ever what she was talking about. Haha.

The Gryffindor stared at the rest of the pizza that was in his hand, oddly enough it didn’t seem quite as appealing and he as wasn’t as hungry as before. Strange. Throwing the rest of the half eaten slice into the trash bin he looked over to where the Willow look alike was.

Legend was pretty sure that it was her and- AH Vindictus had just said his name. That was cool, it was like he had his own personal announcer.
Now was the time to act super mature and show that he had changed.

Right?

Because he was no longer that young boy who thought that girls had cooties. He was older, wiser and now only disliked girls because they complained too much.

Walking up to Willow and those other people he grinned, HA he was like the same height as her- almost? He was confidant and knew just what to say! But what if she didn’t remember him?

“Uhhhhh hi Willow? Hey Professor V.” Clearing his throat he started again. “Soo Willow do you uhh remember who I am?” It would be super embarrassing if she didn’t.

Reaching out for a plate, Regina surveyed the buffet table then picked up a piece of cheese quesadillas. Its ok she shrugged as she set the piece onto her china. She spotted the seafood delight that was Cataplana and grinned widely. Its been a while since she had a good seafood dish. She bent over to draw in the aroma "Hmmm, sure got potential here..." she said as she heaped the delectable dish onto her plate. As she moved further down the table she spotted Poutine and raised an eyebrow. "Shouldnt this dish come with a warning?" she snickered as she sampled the cheese and gravy "Mmmhhmm... good" she murmured as she reached out for a smaller container and pilled on the fries, cheese and gravy.

"Lemonade. Extra sour please." she said as she stood in front of the beverage table. Realizing that she's one hand too short, she lay the smaller platter down and waved her "bracelet" hand over her drink. Slowly the drink it floated up and she began to carefully navigate her way towards the seating area.

Cale chuckled and watched Anna grab a strawberry and dip it in the chocolate fountain. Hmmm, he'd definitely need to eat some of that for dessert. First, the quesadilla.

Just as he was finishing off the last bite of his cheesy quesadilla, he heard someone approaching them. He turned around and saw Plymouth Morgan and...Evolette McKenna coming towards them. That was odd. Had they been friends when he was in school? It was so hard to remember!

"Evolette!" Cale said with a smile. "Hello to you too! And...hi Plymouth," he added with a grin to the Ravenclaw. He found it was...easier to be nice to Plymouth despite whatever had happened with him and Anna at school. He genuinely liked Plymouth. He was much more likeable than Nico.

"How are you two doing?" he asked, even though Anna had...already asked the same question. Plymouth was all...giggly, it seemed. Uggh. He wished he wouldn't be all...strange around Anna. It would make it hard to like him again. BOOO.

Hehe?

What in Merlin's name was so fun---...

Oh, wait. Had it really been that long since she'd been around Plymouth? So long that she'd nearly forgotten how he sometimes acted...around her. Remembering this, Anna sort of smiled then softly laughed a little, too. He was looking at her knees, which caused her to glance down at them, as well, wondering if she had a loose thread dangling from her dress or something like that. Nope, no thread. Just knees.

"So, Plym," she tried again. "How's it going? What are you up to these days?"

Six or so years ago, a 16-year-old Anna might have been a little jealous over Cale's interaction with Evolette McKenna. That seemed to have been about the time in their school years when Cale and Anna had split, causing Cale to form some sort of fake relationship with Evolette. Thinking back on it now, Anna wanted to just laugh.

Evee, as Anna know called her, had become a really good friend. She couldn't imagine having hard feelings toward her now. So it was with that though in mind that Anna just stayed quiet for the time being and let the old friends reunite. She turned back to Plym, wondering if maybe the focus was now off her knees and on conversation instead.

Walking over to the food area with Ellie, he heads right to the punch bowl. Taking a few glasses he hands one to Ellie.

His eyes meeting hers, he asks softly "Are you hungry? Otherwise we could take a walk, outdoors where it's cool." he adds nodding toward one of the doors.

Ellie took the punch gratefully. "Thank you." she said. And took a sip. Then her eyes and ears were quite distracted for some time by the headmaster and his speech. Triwizard Tournament! Really! That would be so much fun! If only she were just....4 years older!

She turned to JD, her eyes bright. "Wouldn't that be amazing! We'll get to meet people from all over the world!" And hear accents. Accents were so cool. "And watch the action!" Fun!

And now for his question. Was she hungry? Seriously? Ellie was always hungry. She could eat anything at anytime of the day. Though she preferred chocolate at breakfast, lunch, AND dinner...and dessert. "Food sounds great." she said enthusiastically, as her eyes gazed across the table of scrumptious yumminess. "We could bring it outside." Hah! And that was how you hit two birds with one stone. She mentally brushed her hands off and patted herself on the back. Quite the accomplishment.

Thinking about next term already he's amazed he'll be halfway through his years here at Hogwarts. The Triwizard Tournament...wow! He wondered what she was thinking.

Her eyes bright, he notices as he looks at her he smiles softly again. "Wonderful idea" he adds just as softly as his smile was. Stepping toward the food, he takes a plate and hands it to her.

Taking another plate he steps in behind her placing a few tarts on his plate along with some finger sandwiches.

"Great." Ellie said and she took the plate from JD. She walked up and down the table surveying and taking the food. She filled her plate with chips, and chicken, and pizza, and some fruit that was generously doused under the chocolate fountain, some yorkshire pudding, and that Canederli stuff because it looked pretty appetizing, same with the Poutine and the Layer cake.

Satisfied with the nearly toppling over plate, she looked at JD to see if he was ready. But she wasn't quite sure. His plate looked so feebly filled. Especially compared to hers. "Are you.." finished? Was that something you should say? Ellie felt suddenly piggish. "Uhm.." Yeah, she'll just let him lead the way once more. That way she'd be certain he wasn't holding back on food for any type of reason.

Having taken some foods he knew about he was still eyeing the foreign foods. Maybe he'd stick to the stuff he had, he wasn't so sure about a lot of the items on the table.

Grabbing some chips and fruit he nods to her. "I'm ready." Smiling as he notices her plate, she was more daring then he! Picking up his punch glass once again he heads toward the benches outside.

Ellie returned the smile. So what if she liked to eat. She just liked to eat! Food. Lots and lots of food. And chocolate. Lots and lots and LOTS of chocolate. She quickly replaced the bit of punch she finished, just for safe measure. And followed JD outside.

*Gabben and Matthias walked in and Matthias went right to the food table.*

"Why must you always be eating Matty?"

"It's not my fault, I am a growing boy. I bet you used to eat just as much as me."
*Gabben just sighed as his nephew ate and ate.*

"Why'd you bring me along anyway?"

"Because I thought you would have fun. A chance to meet new people."

"New old people... We need to find you a date uncle."

*The two just laughed as they filled up some plates.*

Ah food!

Kayla was feeling rather famished now. Dancing and walking sure did work up an appetite.

As she moved along the table looking for something to satisfy her hunger, Kayla heard a voice that she hadn't heard in quite a few years and she stopped just behind the tall young man.

"If I didn't know any better I would say that's Mr Gabben Gardner."

"Mr. Gardner? I haven't been called that in ages."
*He turned around to see an old friend.*
"Why if it isn't Mrs. Kayla!"
*He smiled and held a hand out to her not sure if he should hug her or not.*

She looked down at his outstretched hand and waved it away. Instead Kayla threw her arms around Gabben and gave him a big old hug.

"I think we can drop the formal act" she said pulling back and giving him the once over and shaking her head. "Still as gorgeous as ever. So what have you been doing with yourself since Hogwarts?"

"Always saying the nicest things, even when they are not true. You have and always will be the gorgeous one."

*He smiled as he hugged her back. Taking a step back he saw that he was right.*
"I've just been taking care of Sweden, finally it is quite. What about you? What have you been up to after all this time? How is Nico?"

*Matthias shoved Gabben in the ribs making Gabben drop some food.*

"Oh I'm sorry. Kayla this is my nephew Matthias. Matty this is my friend Kayla from my Hogwarts days."

*Matthias smiled and bowed, then held a hand out to her.*

"Hello Mrs. Kayla."

She might have blushed if she was the blushing type of person. "And you always had a way with words Gabben" she said giving him a light punch on the arm.

It took a moment for Kayla to realise what Gabben was talking about an then it clicked. "Oh that's you right. You're a king." Hmm, was she supposed to curtsey to him? At his words, she tilted her head to the side, "Drama on the home front?"

And there was that question. It was to be expect she supposed. "Nico and I aren't together anymore. We broke about ten months ago." Kayla shrugged her shoulders as though she was prefectly fine and she was but there were times when it still hurt. "Currently though I am working at Gringotts as a cursebreaker and a mother to a three year old boy. His name is Michael."

Kayla looked over to the boy who was nudging Gabben in the ribs and raised an eyebrow when he introduced them.

This time Kayla did curtsey and she smiled at the boy. "Hello Matthias. It's a pleasure to meet you. I take it that you are attending Hogwarts?"

*Matthias gave Gabben the raised eye brow look when she gave him a curtsey. Gabben only smirked.*

"No need for that Kayla. Matty isn't king and please never do that to me either. We are old friends."

"Yes I am Mrs. Kayla, and please call me Matty. Matthias is such an old name..."
*He turned to Gabben and smirked.*
"I'm going to go sit for a bit uncle."
*Matthias bowed again to Kayla and sat down at a near by table.*

"How do you think I feel with being called Gabben. You hve a son too. Thats great, do you have pictures?"
*Gabben then frowned at hearig her sad news.*

"I am sorry to hear about Nico. Might I ask what happened?"

"Cute kid" Kayla said as she watched the boy walk away and then she turned back to Gabben with a smile on her face.

"He's very polite. You been giving him some tips?"

Oh pictures? Kayla remembered that she had left her bag elsewhere. "I don't have any pictures on me at the moment. I've left my bag...somewhere."

At his question, Kayla shrugged again and then picked up a drink and took a sip before answering. "It's rather complicated but basically his parents were never going to accept me. I'm a half blood you see." She shrugged her shoulders again.

"I was waiting for a fairytale ending that was never going to happen so I thought it best for me and our son that I should leave now before we ended up hating each other later." Gah this was a sad topic and this was supposed to be a fun night.

"What about you though? Is there a Mrs Gardner?"

"Seeing as how he might be the next king then yes I am training him... in a way."
*Gabben frowned at her sad story.*

"I am sorry, that was very stupid on his part. Nothing should get in the way when you find the one you love. Not even parents. I am sorry you never got your fairytale ending... you deserve one more then anyone else I know."

*Gabben sighed at hearing how Nico's family did not accept her because she was halfblood.*
"Sadly blood lines are still a major problem, even in Sweden. Matthias is halfblood as well."

*Gabben then laughed and shook his head.*
"No, I haven't found the right women yet I guess. The only women I seem to find are the ones who just want me for my position..."
