Eeylops Owl Emporium strives to provide witches and wizards, young and old, with the necessities required to properly look after an owl, whether that be with packets of food or just a cage. Once you enter through the door you enter a world of chirping birds and rows upon rows of owls, ranging from the adorable tawny owl to the unique screech owl. Big or small, cute or ugly, quiet or obnoxious, each one would like a caring and loving home.
On either side of the rows of caged owls, adorning the walls are shelves. These shelves hold all of the things under the sun that you could ever what for your owl. Lining the first set of shelves are many jars of weird looking insects, ranging from stick insects to your plain ordinary green fly. The owls will eat any of these insects, so take your pick and buy as many as you want. Above the insect jars are an assortment of boxes all holding different sized packets of owl pellets. These are fun-sized little bits of food that are perfect for an owl. Dotted along either side of the shop, alongside the shelves are big boxes, contain an assortment of little cuddly toys and other little trinkets that will allow you to care for your owls every need.
Toward the back of the shop, a straight line from the door, where the shopkeeper is waiting to assist you. As you reach the back you notice that, like the rest of the shop, it looks old fashioned, maybe a bit rustic, but don't criticize for the shopkeeper loves their shop just as much as anything. When you're ready to cash out, go ahead, wait in line, and you'll be ready to leave with your new owl in no time at all.
SPOILER!!: inventory
This shop is owned by an NPC and is a part of the IC Shopkeeper initiative. For details, please see this thread.
Isabella was doing her usual trip to Diagon Alley -- after all the Hogwarts shoppers had cleared out -- for grading supplies, and a few potions supplies, for the term. She'd gotten just about everything she needed, and thought...why not drop in on her brother? He was probably working. And if not... she'd have a coffee instead.
Wrinkling her nose slightly at the owl smell, she began browsing. Greeting owls, as one did when in an owl emporium. Keeping a watch in her peripheral vision to see if Rafael was indeed behind the counter. Playing it cool. She didn't want him to think she'd come to London just to check up on him.

Being so knowledgeable when it came to flora, Rafael Melo had completely not foreseen himself working with animals of any kind. But when Gabriel had been taken by the Merpeople, he knew he needed to be closer to his family permanently. Which was how he ended up being one of Eyelops as an owl caretaker. Eyelops had been the first to offer him a job in London and he had taken it without second thought. A man’s gotta make money if he wants to be independent. Besides, Rafa enjoyed his job. A lot.
“We should get you back into your cage, shouldn’t we?” Rafa was currently questioning a barn owl in Portuguese which was perched on his thickly gloved hand. “You’ve had quite a good time stretching your win- Isa??!” The man had caught sight of his sister and his face lit up like a thousand suns. Forgetting to return his feathered friend to the cage, Rafa closed the gap between him and Isabelle, his free arm opening for a hug. “Are you here stalking me?” Yep, still speaking in their mother tongue.

Isabella beamed as she finally saw her second-favorite brother, and he saw her too. "Rafa," she said, eyeing the owl on his arm. "Stalking you? I would never!" she protested, also in Portuguese, holding up her bags from the other stores as though in self-defense. "I was shopping."
Still keeping an eye on that barn owl, she shifted her bags into one hand and gestured at the store. "You know, this is not where I pictured you working," she said. In Portuguese, of course, so if his boss or whomever overheard, Rafa couldn't get in trouble. "I thought you would choose somewhere less... stinky." Not to mention owls could be dangerous if not handled correctly. Though Rafael seemed to know what he was doing. Maybe her little brother did belong here, after all.

R-U-D-E, Isa!
Absolutely rude! Rafa deserved to be the first favourite. The only favourite, actually. This is what he would be saying if he were conceited enough. How could he be when the Melo family was a tight knit one and he loved each of his crazy family members? Rafa rolled his eyes. “Sure,’’ he ribbed. “Use shopping as an excuse.” But those bags seemed mighty heavy. “Want to set those down at the back for a bit?” Rafa had his own belongings there, out of sight of the customers.
He was only too happy to continue the conversation in Portuguese. It wasn’t like the old days where the language was used by him on a daily basis. “This here is Mr. Beaks. Mr. Beaks, this is Isabelle. She missed me terribly but might not admit it.” The owl continued to stare at Rafa’s sister with a piercing gaze. “Neither did I,’’ he replied cheerfully, now resuming his task of caging Mr. Beaks once more. “Eeylops was the first place to have offered me a job and I grabbed it. Blame Gabe. He got himself Mernapped and I figured mum needed at least one of her sons close by. Speaking of Gabe, are you shopping for the wedding?”
