Ellie made the bowl come back down after a minute of beating. She scraped the sides of the bowl and added eggs. Then she put it back in the air, and set the spoon to beat again for a minute.
After that minute, she scraped it again, then set it to beat at a higher speed.
She then, poured the mixture into cupcake cups and put it in the oven at 350 degrees.
OOC: Class will close tomorrow afternoon around 5:30 PM EST. So you have about...20 hours from the time of this post to finish up. I'll also be at work tomorrow until 4:00 EST, but IC Lexi will still be in class.
Lexi looked thoughtful for a few seconds as she considered the best answer to the girl's question. "Several charms have been tried, but in the end, most were very unsuccessful or either more complicated than the muggle method," she admitted. "I think you'd be better off separating it by hand for now, although, it may be something you'd want to experiment with later on."
Teegan nodded her head as the professor spoke and gave her a thankful smile. "Thank you ma'am. If I figure something out I'll let you know." She smiled before turning back to Victoria making a mental note to experiment with that. "It looks like we'll be sorting them by hand." She said as she picked up and egg to begin the process.
Once she had separated the eggs as needed she turned back to the notebook and continued to the next steps until she was ready to put them in the oven. She grinned at her work as she shut the oven door with her wand and placed it on her notebook and wiped her forehead of the invisible sweat.
She looked around trying to see what others were baking and noticed some variety around them, though still quite excited to have gotten this far in the process without messing anything up...or blowing anything up.

After about 25 minutes, Ellie took the cupcakes out and tested to be sure they were fully cooked. Oh, they were. She set them on the counter. Then she looked around her, wondering what to do next now that she was finished.
Herminny knew she could easilly do this activity on her own knowing the spells and having baked cupcakes numerous times the muggle way at home. This was gonna be easy she thought. She quickly picked out a nice and easy recipe and got to work:
Quote:
Ingredients• 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
• 1 1/3 cups sugar
• 3 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 large eggs
Easy Cupcake Recipe DirectionsPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cupcake pans with paper liners.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add shortening, milk, and vanilla. Beat for 1 minute on medium speed. Scrape side of bowl with a spatula.
Add eggs to the mixture. Beat for 1 minute on medium speed. Scrape bowl again. Beat on high speed for 1 minute 30 seconds until well mixed.
Spoon cupcake batter into paper liners until 1/2 to 2/3 full.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 5 minutes in pans then remove and place on wire racks to cool completely.
Once cupcakes are completely cooled, frost with your favorite frosting recipe or decorate as you desire.
Herminny gathered all the ingredients she needed and then preheated oven to 350 degrees. She then took out wer wand and said, "Wingardium Leviosa", and pointed her wand at the bowl. She then said, "finnite", pointing her wand at the bowl to hold it in place. She then added the correct amount flour, baking soda, and salt into her floating mixing bowl. She then added, shortening, vanilla and milk to the bowl. She then picked up her spoon and put it in the bowl and pointed her wand at at the spoon and said, "locomotor spoon", and carefully controlled the spoon to swirl the mixture at medium for one minute careful to keep the time. Once that was done she pointed her wand at the spoon and said, "finite", and then scraped the side of her bowl looked over her recipe. She then cracked 2 eggs into her mixture and pointed her wand at the sppon again and said, "locomotor spoon", and had the spoon swirl the mixture for another minute at medum speed. She then said, "finite", and scrapped the side of her bowl again. Once done she pointed her wand at the spoon again and said, "locomotor spoon", and controlled the spoon to swirl the mixture at speed for 1 minute and 30 secconds and saw the mixture change to liquid which she knew was a good sign. She then lined her cupcake tim with paper liners and carefully poured the mixture from the bowl to just enough in each individual tin. She then carefully put the tin with cupcake mixture into the oven she had previously heated then closed it in and set the timer at 20 minutes. And now was the time to wait.
Now Ellie was finally ready to cook. She began by preheating the oven to 350 degrees F. Then she had to do spellwork. She pointed her wand at one of the bowls. "Wingardium Leviosa" she said as she swished and flicked her wand. The bowl hovered about six inches off the table. "Good," she said to herself. "Fixate," she added, tapping the bowl with her wand. Then she put one of the whisks in the bowl, deciding this would create the cream.
She took the two sticks of butter and threw them into the bowl. It was funny watching the bowl bob with the additional weight, then returning to its original height. Then she measured out the two cups of sugar and added them to the bowl. Ellie vigorously twirled her wand counterclockwise and said firmly, "Locomoter whisk!". The whisk began to twirl very quickly, mushing up all the compounds in the bowl.
With Teegan's help, Victoria managed to fix her cupcakes and put it in the oven. She swatted a piece of her hair and sat down, glancing around the room.
Hermione had waited long enough, and finally her cupcakes were done. She proceeded to take them out of the oven and set them on the counter. Since she had time to wait for the cupcakes to cool Hermione went and got her frosting together. She walked over the cupboard and picked out strawberry icing for the final touch on her cupcakes. These were going to be delicious she thought. She went back over to her cupcakes, and waited patiently for them to cool. She couldn't wait to finish them, quite the fun Charms Class she thought to herself.

It was bad enough she still had eggs on her hands, since she had forgotten to wash them. Maybe she should do that now? They did have four minutes to wait. "I'm gunna go wash my hands." she muttered to Evelyn, even holding her hands up for her friend to see the stickiness. Only problem was..one can't see stickiness.
Walking to the sinks, she shoved her hands in the water and held them there for thirty seconds. Only three minutes and thirty seconds left for the spoon to stir the mix. What could she do for that amount of time? Deciding to see what everyone else was up to, Destiny took the long way back to her desk. Walking with her hands behind her back, she nodded at a few people in passing. None of their stuff looked as good as Destiny and Evelyn's and they are still on the mixing process!
Making her way back to her table, Destiny snorted at Evelyn's comment. "You're joking..right?" This was much easier then baking those cupcakes last year, that's for sure. "This would have come in handy last term, you know. It wouldn't have taken us forever to bake those cupcakes." Four minutes! Looking into the bowl, Destiny saw the egg whites start to stiffen. That meant it was time for the next step!
So, the spoon had to be still stirring as the sugar was poured in. Well, that's what it looked like the directions said. Slowing down the spoons speed, she grabbed the cup of sugar, and slowly poured it into the mixture. After all that was mixed, Destiny cast finite on the spoon and traded that with a scraper. "Locomotor scraper." she said pointing her wand.
Yeah, let that do the work.
"Destiny, one of these days, I'm going to teach you the difference between seriousness...and a joke." she said, smiling and standing up before placing her hand on her friend's shoulder. Ehhh...okay, maybe not. Quickly taking her hand back, she took a step away and so Destiny can do the sugar.
"Well, whenever we bake this year, if we are, then we'll just use these spells." Of course, it all depended if they were going to be baking again. Evelyn might, but she wasn't sure about Destiny. Maybe she would too now that they had useful spells to help them. It was too bad though that there weren't spells to just have the cupcakes make themselves. She supposed they could always just have the elves in the kitchens do that.
Not noticing Destiny switch out the whisk for a scraper, Evelyn looked back in the book to read the rest of the instructions. "Wait, you only added 1 cup of sugar to the mix right?"

Destiny did know the difference between a joke and a..non-joke. "I don't want to learn anymore things." she mumbled under her breath. She was learning enough with all the Professor's and she didn't need her friends teaching her things, too. Hmm..again with Evelyn and her weirdness. Touching was not something the real Evelyn would do.
Weird.
"I think I am all baked out. This class and then Muggle Studies club. I would be happy if I never see an oven again!" Okay, so that wasn't really true, but she would like to stay away from the oven for at least a week after this. "And speaking of baking, weren't you supposed to make cookies?" Cookies that Destiny was not allowed to eat!? *pout*
Destiny jumped slightly at the question Evelyn asked. Did she mess up or something? Merlin, she hoped not, since she really, really didn't want to make this all over. "Isn't that what the book said? Only one cup?"
Eeesh!

20 minutes camme and gone and it was time to check on the cupcakes which is just what Herminny did. They looked rady so she grabbed some oven mits and put them on and removed her tray of cupcakes that came out looking great and put them on table to cool. She then turned the oven off and then picked out some chicolate frosting though it would be a good 10 minutes before frosting cupcakes would be practical and not just a soupy mess of chocolate on a cupcake.
After 25 minutes, Sophia saw the toothpick inserted is now out. Cool. She proceeded to the last two steps
Cool 10 minutes in pans then remove from pan, and place on wire racks to cool completely. While the cupcakes are in pans, she let it cool for 10 minutes. Then removed from the pan, and placed on wire racks. It says in the book for them to cool completely. Frost when chocolate cupcakes are completely cool. After noticing that the cupcakes were completely cool, Sophia frosted it. Was that it? Was she done? WOW!

"Well, good luck with that." she laughed, glancing at Destiny before looking back at the book, making sure she was reading it correctly. They still had four years left of school. The teachers, one way or another, were going to make them learn something. Eh.
Ugh, Destiny just had to remind her of Muggle Studies club. At least though, she didn't like...get all Gryffindor on her for that as of yet. Mwaha! Avoided conflict, once again! Until, she mentioned making cookies. Oops. "Oh, right. Yea." she nodded, scooting the book towards her and burying her face in the words. "I did that already actually. Like, a week ago. With...Rae. And some new first year." That she needed Destiny to meet. Nicole was...just so cool.
"But, we can totally go bake some more again. You're a better baking buddy." Perhaps, that would calm down Destiny in case she got angry. Hehe. "And umm...yea. One cup. I was just making sure..."
Lexi shook her head in reply. "For today, the only charm you definitely need to use is the one to get the spoon to moving on its own. You can just go ahead and use the preheat option on the oven," she said, nodding in the direction of the ovens in the back of the room. Charming the cupcakes to heat and cook wasn't a bad idea, but it was a topic Lexi would save for some other lesson...at some point.
"Accio" Cried Patroclus and one by one the ingredients for his Chocolate and Cherry Cupcakes came as he called their name. He went to his oven and turned it on to the preheat temperature of 180ºC.
Patroclus added the now melted butter and chocolate to his bowl. With his wand his swished and flicked, "Wingardium Leviosa. Fixate". the Bowl hung at a perfect levitating height. Picking up his wooden spoon he placed it into the bowl and once again with his wand enchanted the spoon "Locomotor Spoon". as it stirred at a lovely even pace, Patroclus added the cherry jam, sugar, salt and eggs. Allowing the spoon to carry on stirring, Patroclus summoned a sifter, "Accio Sifter" and over the swirling mixture sifted in the flour.
With his arm out ready to catch, Patroclus called "Finite" and caught his lovely gooey brown mixture and poured it into the muffin tray. and Placed it into this oven, and in the 25 minutes they need to cook he would clean up his space.

Evelyn was skeptical, wasn't she? Destiny could chose not to learn, if she really wanted to. It would be easy to hide somewhere in the castle and not be seen or found..for days. Of course people will probably think she was dead, so maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea.
And now Evelyn had other friends. And one was a first year!? When did she ever associate herself with one of those? Not including when she herself was in that year, that doesn't count. "Oh." she blinked a few times, before following Evelyn's lead and sticking her face in her book.
"Yeah, sure. We can bake another time. Not soon though, since I am all baked out." And if she had baked with Evelyn, Rae, and this unknown first year, Destiny would probably never bake again. That would be three times in a matter of weeks. That is just too much baking!
Now that the whole sugar fiasco type thing was cleared up, they could start working on the next step...which was..something. Something about mixing the flour and the rest of the sugar and folding the egg whites. "Folding gently? Does that mean we have to touch it?"
Evelyn could do that step. Paybacks for baking cookies without her. Ha!

When Aileen didn't find anyone to partner with, she decided that she would do the cupcakes alone. She once again checked if she had everything she needed and then she picked up a mixing bowl and put all the needed ingredients in.
She looked into the directions. Oh. She forgot to preheat the oven! She remedied it and went back to mixing bowl. Put a wooden spoon in it and took her wand. "Wingardium Leviosa." The bowl flew in the air. "Fixate." The bowl was now immobile in the air.
Aileen checked the next step. Mix at low speed for 30 seconds."Locomotor spoon." and she started to turn her wand slowly. After that she finished the spell, caught the bowl and scraped it. Then she used the same spells to mix it faster. Once the batter was finished, she put the bowl on the working station and went to retrieve the liners and filled them with the batter.
Again she looked into the directions. Twenty to twenty-five minutes in the oven... She then put the liners full of batter in the oven. Meanwhile, she started to clean the working station.

Seeing the look on her friend's face when she mentioned a first year, Evelyn chuckled, lowering the book down onto the table before muttering in a quiet tone, "I know, I know. But really, you should meet her." she nodded, looking around for a moment before taking a small step closer to only Destiny could hear. "She believed everything I said, and even stood up for me when I was talking to Rex and Kay."
How COOL was that?!
Evelyn was slightly tired of baking too, and would definitely need a break after the class. And...probably for another month too. Glancing at Destiny when she asked a question, Evelyn snickered slightly before shaking her head. "No, but I'll do that part."
Having already taken the flour and put it in the dry and clean bowl, she measured out the rest of the sugar they needed, she quickly mixed those two together before putting a fourth of it into the actually mixture. Taking out the spoon, or whatever it was...she looked at it for a moment and decided it probably was the best material to use. "Can you get like...cupcake holder things, please?" If Destiny had any idea what she was talking about.
Putting the spoon on the table for a moment, she took out her wand and put her left hand under the levitating bowl, looking as if she were holding it. "Finite." she mumbled, feeling the wait of the bowl drop into her hand. "Sorry. I don't know how to make the spoon thing fold the mixture." Just gotta do it by hand. Trading her wand for the scraper thing, she started to gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. Simple enough!
Repeating the process until all the dry ingredients was mixed in, Evelyn sighed and just...dropped the spoon where it was in the mix. Done. "You can put it in the cupcake holder thing."

Ehhh. Destiny meeting this first year. Yeeah, that would be loads of fun! *insert eyeroll here* "Yeah, I'll meet her." Like one day when she is really bored and she can't find ANYTHING fun to do. "Believed everything you said? What did you tell her?" And sticking up for her in front of Rex? What was going on!?
Ha! Evelyn was going to do the next part. She really didn't want to do it since she had no idea what folding was. She figured it was something like folding clothes, but most likely, that would be wrong.
Destiny would have never thought Evelyn would bake without asking a million questions like last term. "I think you could have did this all by yourself!" she said, before nodding and heading to the back of the room to look for these cupcake holder things. Finding something that had six circles, all resembling the shape of a cupcake, she skipped back over to the table. "I could have summoned this. It isn't heavy like that flour."
She probably should have been taken notes on this folding business, but she really didn't want too. If batter needed to be folded, she would get Evelyn to do it, HA!
And then..it was TIME! Time to pour in the batter in the tray and shove it in the oven! "Yes!" She picked up the bowl, removing the spoon first, and started to fill each circle until it was at the 2/3 mark. Heehee, there was still batter left in the bowl even after pouring it into the trays! She would have to dip her finger in it..when no one was looking. "Now..we put it in the oven!"
And..Evelyn could do the honors. After all, she deserved it!

Reason: because I failed. BIG time.
After Noir struggle with her cupcakes for 30 minutes it finally done..She pulled out her cupcakes from the oven and then she cool sponge cake cupcakes completely in the cupcake pans.."Okay the cupcakes look nice I hope the taste would be nice too" she thought
• 1 cup flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1/2 cup baking cocoa (powdered)
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 1/2 cups egg whites (from approximately 10 large eggs)
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon red food coloring
Luna looked over the Chocolate Angel Food Cupcake Recipe. 'This looks good' she thought. She had all of the ingredients that she needed in front of her. She preheated the oven to 325 degrees like it said on the page. She put the egg whites and the salt into the bowl. "Wingardium Leviosa," she said. The bowl started to rise into the air. "Fixate," she said as the bowk stopped in mid-air. "Locomotor Spoon," she called out and she began to move her wand as if she was beating some eggs herself. When the egg whites and the salt were beaten she added the cream of tartar ancontinued beating until it was stiff. "This is going well" she thought. "Finite," she said and she catched the bowl. She grabbed the sugar, the lemon juice and the vanilla. "Wingardium Leviosa," she called out again. "Fixate," she said. "Locomotor Spoon," she said as she moved her spoon in an anti-clockwise direction. "Finite," she said.
She got another bowl and added flour, cocoa and baking powder. "Wingardium Leviosa," she said. "Fixate," she said as the bowl stopped. "Locomotor spoon," as the spoon stirred the ingrdients.
Going to page 317 Dianna chose the Orange Cupcake recipe.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" with a swish and a flick to her wand a bowl with a wooden spoon floated to her "Fixate" she tapped. When it was a few feet above the air she added butter, sugar, egg yolks and vanilla in the bowl.
"Locomoter spoon" she said and the spoon creamed all these together. While it was mixing Dianna added some flour, salt and baking powder 1/3 at a time while adding orange juice in between.
"Finite" and the bowl dropped just in time for her to catch it. She spooned the mixture into cupcake liners.

Arya watched grinning as Santi tried to get his kitten back into the bag, it was funny and she could totally understand why the kitten wanted to get out. She had obviously smelled the delicious cup cakes that were baking.
Swinging her feet she continued to drum the levitated spoon against each ingredent. Her eyes would occasionally flicker over to the baking cupcakes whenever she caught a wiff of them, which was pretty much all the time.
Ugh, twenty minutes was a long time. Atleast it gave them time to think about what to put on there cupcakes. "So are you adding decorations to your cupcakes?"

Maybe that last part was the wrong thing to say. She might take it the wrong way...
Oh, so he was being challenged now? Pfft. "My polka dots are way better than your polka dots plus my shade of green is cooler." Okay, so it was the same shade, but still. Jimbo's was cooler. She was stealing HIS idea. Not the other way around.
Keeping his wand out, Jimbo was a bit excited to get started. He loved Charms. When he was being home schooled he was so good at charms his parents had to teach him more advanced spells. Not too advanced, but he was currently at about...a fifth year level or so. Around there.
So when the Professor demonstrated the spells they were going to be doing, he couldn't help but smirk. He knew how to do this stuff already, despite not being that great a cook. Placing his mixing bowl and wooden spoon in front of him he was so confident that he tried to do it non-verbally.
He swished and flicked his wand to try the Wingardium Leviosa spell, but it didn't work no matter how hard he tried. Okay, so maybe he couldn't do it non-verbally. Not yet, anyway. Oh, well. Trying the wand movement again he said, "Wingardium Leviosa!" and the bowl rose. "Fixate!"
Doing the same with the wooden spoon, he got them both in mid-air and tried the next spell. "Locomotor spoon!" Turning his wand, the spoon mimicked his movements. Grinning, he tried the last spell and prepared himself to catch the bowl and spoon. "Finite!"
*CLATTER*
Okay, so he didn't catch it. Oh, well. "Accio." he mumbled. He placed the materials in front of him and smiled when they were told to start baking. He flipped his book to the right page and looked it over. Nodding, he looked around for a partner and his eyes landed on Monty once more.
"Hey, Monty. Do you need a partner?"
Iris raised her eyebrows with a grin. "Of course you didn't." She said to him, not saying whether she was refering to the idea or the fact that he 'didn't notice her'.
"Nah. They're pink. And its the same shade of green." She said to him VERY briefly, her eyes not looking away from Professor Carlton. WHEE! Charming time. hehe. Iris liked charms.
Iris made a mental note of everything the professor said, and copied her as she did. Okay. So, bowl in front of me. "Wingardium Leviosa!" She muttered to herself, and carefully raised her bowl, then said "Fixate!"
Then she picked up the spoon and muttered the spell, "Locomotor Spoon!" Then, sticking her tongue out slighting in consentration, she began to turn her wand, and watched the spoon mimick it.
UNLIKE Jimbo, Iris reckoned she'd be able to catch it, so, one hand under the bowl, she muttered the spell that would cancel them all out. "Finite!" Oh yes. The bowl didn't even need to fall.
She looked at Jimbo and stuck her tongue out at him. He failed.
"Do I need a partner? Yes. I do. So I'll be YOUR partner. And We'll be awesome in our POLKA DOT green aprons. hehe."
Scooting down the work bench, she looked at the book that Jimbo was holding. "Eww. Those are plain, boring fairy buns." She said to him, refering to the basic cake recipy that was open on the page.
So she took the book off him, and flicked through it until she found the recipy that she wanted. "I reckon we should make some Butterfly Cakes. They're easy AND cute!" What's not to lose with them?
Iris looked at Jimbo and grinned, with a look that said they WERE going to make these cakes. Even if it was a butterfly. Looking round the class, Iris noticed that a lot of other people seemed to be very far ahead of them. Oops. That seemed... bad. They'd just have to work quicker to catch up.
Seeing as though Iris could bake, they'd be able to finish them quickly if Jimbo could bake too, and something told her that he could. Because he liked food.
Not bothering to let Jimbo argue, she got up and got the things they'd need, the ingredients and the utensils, and dropping them onto their work bench.
10 minutes passed and now the cupcakes were most certainly cool enough for decorating. She took out her wand in wants of trying a little something. She pointed her wand at her butter knife and said, "wingardium levosa", and then followeed up with fixxate to hold the knife in place. She then flollowed that up saying, "locomotor knife", and carefully scooped the knife into the frosting with just her wand and proceeded to frost each cupcake with just her wand as well. Once done she controlled the knife back to the tabe and said, "fixate". She was done and it was so much more fun to add a little magic to baking.
"Their your cupcakes too. How about this - since I picked which cupcakes we made, you choose what to put on them." He smiled. He could feel her excitement about them and figured it would mean a lot to her for him to give her the option to choose whatever she liked. "Though I think you'll have to make it solo," he added nodding his head to Rose.
Dude. The Pensevies aint got nothing on you. Aslan is the God

Okidoki, Amy said as she read the book and took out the ingridients and read the recipie:
• 1 cup coca cola or other cola drink
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 1/4 cup powdered cocoa
• 22 large marshmallows
• 2 cups all purpose flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 2 large eggs, beaten
Amy adjusted the cooker to the right 325 degrees and lined the cupcake cases she threw the cola, butter, vegtable oil and cocoa, brought it to the boil and added marshmellows, she watched them begin to melt, when they had melted Amy took out her wand and cast a spell which sent the spoon round and round, watching it mix the mixture
Slowly she pulled out another big bowl and added flour, sugar and baking soda, added buttermilk, eggs and vanilla and began to mix it manually for 10 minutes, she added the first bowl to the second and spooned it into the mufin cases. She put the cases in the tray in the oven and waited for them to bake
