"And what makes you think I can?" Selena smirked. "Which recipe do you wanna do? I found one on a chocolate cheesecake cupcake, and it sounds great," Selena grinned. She hoped she didn't explode the whole place. She wasn't exactly graceful and poised. She was quite clumsy.
Oh this was going to be good. Neither of them could cook and Diggy had already knocked himself silly with that mixing bowl. "Well this is going to be interesting," he told Selena with a smile. He was finally able to stand on his own but the blue canaries were still circling his head and he wasn't sure how to get rid of them. But they were cute and they weren't bothering anyone. "Hmm that does sound good. Let's go with that one," it was as good as anything else. Since neither of them could cook.

Arya turned to face the familiar voice with a grin. "Hey Santi, I'm great. How are you?" She nodded her head at his proposal. Even if he had already started, he couldn't have gotten too far along. "But I've gotta warn you, I'm no good in the kitchen....atleast when it come to cooking."
"I've been great, at least Hogwarts has kept me interested so far. Though Rose has disappeared," he said with a slight frown before adding the explanation, "the kneazle I bought in Diagon Alley. Anyhow.".
Santi shrugged off her dismay about the kitchen. "This is baking, not cooking, BIG difference. Anyhow, I'm good enough for the both of us," his smile widened at his own jest. "But since I've started, you can finish the recipe. I'm not using the text but one that we use at home, at least I know it'll turn out amazing. Hope you like chocolate," he added walking back over to his area.
"So far I have a cocoa and flour mixture. And this," he said pointed to his third bowl which was still whisking, "is some butter and sugar. The key to the deliciousness of baking. Anyhow, it should be cool enough now. Finite," he said catching the bowl. "We need to add four eggs to this mixture while it's mixing. You think you got this one?" he ended with a wink, holding out the bowl.

Selena wanted to see what happened. Maybe the whole room would catch on fire? That would be bad, really bad. But Selena grinned anyways. "Here's the ingredients, shall we split it?" Selena asked as she showed him the ingredients.
Quote:
1 (12-ounce) package or 2 cups NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels, divided use
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup water
2 (3-ounce) packages cream cheese
, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/8 teaspoon salt
There was quite a bit of ingredients. All she hoped was that the oven wouldn't explode. Knowing her, it might. Selena looked up and saw the blue canaries. "They look so cute," Selena giggled as she looked at them circling his head.
Ooh yeah that sounds um, interesting-Amy said, giggiling, I used to love coca cola when I was at home, but I'm not suppossed to have it anymore, but oh well I'll be a reb Amy said, as she read the ingridients
Delilah laughed. "Why aren't you allowed to have it anymore?" Delilah said looking at the recipe.
Chris watched as everything was going right and on schedule when Simon asked a question so crazy, so hilarious, and so strange that Chris was unable to hold his laughter in. "Oh my goss Simon, you don't cook much do you?" he laughed taking one of the large eggs in his hand. "No you do NOT just put them in like this." he continued to chuckle. "We have to crack them and then pull them apart over the bowl to let the insides come out. We dont; want any of the shell so be careful." the Gryffindor said cracking the egg carefully on ths side of the bowl and letting the inside part of the egg fall into the collectin mass of ingrediants in the bowl. A tiny piece of shell went in as well, but Chris removed it with a fork. "See and if you mess up a little it's no big deal really." he nodded.
Simon looked at Chris and said suddenly. "No I've never cooked, I had my own personal cook and my own personal maid at home." Simon said truthfully. "I've never cooked anything before." Simon wasn't sure why Chris was laughing but he decided to just continue. "Oh I see." Simon lied not seeing at all. "Why do we do that?" Simon was confused, it didn't say anything about cracking the egg open. "Okay." Simon said as he cracked the egg open and put the other two eggs in the bowl, he then looked at Chris. "There we go." He smiled.
With her wand once again stretched toward the chalkboard, Lexi added the newest suggestions to the list they'd already made.
How has magic made our lives easier?
Summoning objects (accio)
Cleaning/household chores/repairs
Levitating/carrying objects
Personal hygiene/healing
Cooking (Lexi placed a little star next to this one)
Light (lumos)
Relationships (cheering others)
Helps the visually impaired
Long-distance travel (Apparition) and packing luggage
How has magic made cooking and being in the kitchen easier?
Peeling and cutting vegetables
Charming utensils to do work for us
Preparing the food
Washing the dishes
Fire spells (to create fire) and spells to put out fire
Healing (choking)
Setting the table
Management (multi-tasking and locating objects)
"Those are excellent suggestions, and lots of them relate to what we'll be doing in class today. House points to everyone who shared a suggestion!" she said, lowering the chalk and dropping her wand to her side. With the second list done, Lexi turned back to the class. A few people had either asked a question or made a point that she wanted to address. "Go ahead and add that second list to your notes. You'll need it for homework, too."
"Magic can most definitely make our lives easier, which leads me to...those," she said, using her wand to point out a box of aprons near the front of the classroom. Walking over to the box, Lexi pulled out a plain white apron. She directed her wand towards the apron, swished it the right, then swished it in a circular motion to the left. "Colorus Revolvo Pink!" she said.
...and that explained how the professor's apron had turned that pretty pink color.
"Now this lesson isn't about the Coloring Changing Charm, but if you'd like, you may use it to change your white apron to the color of your choice," she said. ...and yes, she'd just said your apron, which meant she wanted the students to wear aprons for this lesson, as well. "Come on up and find an apron in your size. If you like the white color, then so be it, but you can take a few minutes to change its color, too. Come on now...you, too, boys," she added, waving her hand in the general direction of the box.
"Remember to do your swishes in flicks in all the right directions, too. You'll likely end up with some atrocious, snot-colored getup otherwise," she said. Sigh...unless of course someone preferred a green and brown mixture. Eww. "Swish to the right, then swish to the left in a circular motion. The incantation is Colorus Revolvo, plus the name of the color you choose."

Now there are other charms that can be used in baking, and in the end, you could use a number of charms to pretty much do the entire process for you," she explained, as she weaved her way through the maze of tables in the room. She stopped in the center of the room next to a table of about four or five. "The charm we're focusing on today, though, will cause a spoon...or any utensil, really...to turn on its on and a washrag to clean all the dishes for us."
"Follow along...," she instructed. Still standing next to that table of four or five, Lexi grabbed one of the extra wooden spoons and placed it inside one of the extra mixing bowls. With a swish, flick in the direction of the bowl, she said, "Wingardium Leviosa!" When the mixing bowl was about a foot or so in the air, she tapped her wand against its side and said, "Fixate!" The bowl stopped levitating and fixed itself at the height it had been at when she'd tapped its side. "You'll want to actually levitate the bowl rather than just raising it by hand. Fixate will fix anything attached to the bowl---fingers included. Although, a simple finite will cure anything of the sort...just in case, you know."
"Follow all directions, and you shouldn't have any trouble, though," she stressed. "Now once you've got your mixing bowl and wooden spoon hovering in the air, you can cast a locomotor charm to get the spoon to moving as you need it to." To demonstrate, she pointed her wand directly at the spoon then began turning her wand in the direction she wished for the spoon to go in. "Locomotor spoon," she said, her wand still turning. The spoon began turning in the direction Lexi's wand was turning in and at the speed her wand had been turning. "Notice the spoon is following the direction and speed of my wand. You don't want the spoon to turn too slowly or...fling batter all over the room." On that note, she sort of half-glared, daring anyone to try anything of the sort on purpose. "The mixing bowl and spoon will continue like this until you just point your wand at both and use finite. Just be ready to catch them...especially if you're using the same charm to wash breakable dishes..."
"How is this charm helpful...getting a spoon to turn on its own, I mean? Why would someone want to use it?" she asked, her eyes scanning the room. "...and if there aren't any questions, you can start practice the charm now. When everyone seems to have the hang of it, we'll start the baking."
While Lexi waited for the ideas to come in and for the practicing to begin, she charmed the chalk to list the steps on the board.
Put the spoon in the mixing bowl.
Direct your wand to the bowl. Swish and flick then say "Wingardium Leviosa."
When the mixing bowl is about a foot or so in the air, tap your wand against its side and say, "Fixate."
Point your wand at the spoon, then turn your wand in the direction you want the spoon to go in and at the speed you want the spoon to go in. Then say, "Locomotor spoon."
The mixing bowl and spoon will continue to work their magic until you point your wand at both and use finite.

She took her wand and motioned towards the back of the room. "All the ingredients and equipment you'll need are in the back of the room. OOC: The cupcake recipes I linked you to are just suggestions. If you can find a different recipe online that you'd rather use, feel free to go ahead and do so. Just remember to use the charm for full credit. Just prepare/bake as you normally would and incorporate the charms when you need to stir. Also, the lesson won't start to wrap up anytime soon (to allow all timezones a change to participate), so take your time baking your cupcakes and using the charm. For full credit, it should take you more than a few posts to roleplay baking your cupcakes.
If you're trying to catch up and see what we've been doing, there are links in the first post. Have fun!
Cadence dutifully took her notes down as the Professor wrote the lists on the board. She could already tell she was going to LOVE this professor. When instructed to go get in apron, she promptly hopped up and went to pink one. Walking back toward her desk, she copied the Professor’s wand movement and said, [B]”Colorus Revolvo Purple![/B} causing her apron to turn her favorite shade of purple. She put the apron on and tied it, awaiting further instructions.
Cadence was just about to pocket her wand when Professor Carlton told them to keep them out. Holding it in her hand, she examined her wooden spoon and mixing bowl, wondering what they were going to be making.
Aaand almost immediately her question was answered. Cupcakes! Yum! She listened closely as the Professor explained what to do, taking notes on the process. It didn’t seem too diffcult. For the most part, it was spells that Cadence had already learned thanks to her mum. Cadence followed the instructions to practice step by step. She put the spoon in the bowl, and then levitated it by using the proper swish and flick and saying, ”Wingardium Leviosa!" Once it was hovering in the air at a good height, she tapped the side and said, ”Fixate!” causing it to stay mid air. Then she pointed her wand at the spoon and began moving her wand as though stirring something in the bowl and said, ”Locomotor spoon!” The spoon began spinning as instructed, and Cadence smiled.
Easy as…. Cupcakes!
Preparing to the catch the bowl and spoon, Cadence stuck out her left hand directly under it and, pointing her wand at them said, ”Finite!” and the spoon clattered into the bowl which fell right into her waiting hand.
And now Cadence was grinning ear-to-ear. They got to actually BAKE cupcakes. She quickly began flipping through the book that the Professor had provided, trying to find a recipe that sounded like fun. None of them, however seemed... colorful enough. Cadence liked colorful things. And then it hit her. Maybe she could just take one of these recipes and make it her own. It would be a surprise.
Making a mad dash for the back room, she began gathering her ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 egg whites from large eggs
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup 2% milk
2 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
AAAND Her special ingredient. RAINBOW SPRINKLES!!!
This had WIN written all over it. After levitating her ingredients over to a counter space, she raised her hand to get the Professor's Attention. "Professor, is it okay if we sort of... make up our own recipe?"

"There's never a dull moment at this castle, that's for sure." Rose? Oh, his kitten, she had wondered what he named her. "She's probably running around with a bunch of other kneazles. That's what my kneazle, Perseus, is doing. Haven't seen him all day." Before the kneazle used to be attached to her hip, but now that he had other creature friends she only saw him in when they went to sleep.
Arya smirked at his jest. "Well your gonna have to be pretty good to make up for my lack of BAKING skills." She didn't see the diffrence, but then again she didn't know much about any form of cooking. Following him back to his workstation, she listened to him speak. She was impressed by the fact that he was using a recipe from home and note the book like she had planed on doing. "I LOVE chocolate."
Standing beside his table, she listened to him speak while twirling her wand. It seemed eazy enough, but he wanted her to finish the recipe. Did he not believe her when she said she couldn't bake? Cause she couldn't, at all. "I think so." Instead of using her hands to take the bowl, she cast the levitation spell (that was the whole point of the class not wasn't it). She set the bowl at her eye level, and after a moment gave it a tap. "Fixate." The bowl hovered a few inches over the table.
Letting her eyes scan the table she picked up an egg with her free hand. Her eyes went back and forth between the egg and the bowl. How was she suppose to do this with one hand? Instead of asking for help, or any questions for that matter, she just cracked the egg softly against the edge of the bowl. Okay so she thought it was softly, but apparently it wasn't because the egg cracked allright. Right into her hand, covering it with yoke and egg whites, the shell still in her hand as its contents dripped from her hand into the bowl. The people on TV make it look so easy. Grinning sheepishly, she turned to Santi. "Told you I was bad at this."

Grinning sheepishly, she turned to Santi. "Told you I was bad at this."
Santi leaned against the counter after Arya had levitated the bowl and fixed it in the air. So far so good. However when she broke the egg, her strength was too much. Santi laughed a bit as the raw egg dripped from her hand and the bowl. Poor egg.
He pushed off the counter and moved towards the fixtated bowl. "Accio spoon," he said and grabbed the spoon out of the air. "That's not because you're bad, just from a lack of practice," he comforted while scraping out the egg shell and contents from the bowl and threw it in the bin and placing the spoon back on the counter. The recipe had a bit too much butter and sugar anyway.
He grabbed a rag and tossed it to her egged hand. "Evanesco," he said with a wave to the egg on the floor. "How about this," he started as he picked up another egg and tossed it in the air a few times, "tap it on the side of the bowl as gently as possible, not expecting to break it. Slowly give it a bit more power until it finally cracks. That way you can figure out how strong you have to be to break it safely. Savy?" He levitated the egg towards her, "How does that sound Arya?"
Jen looked around the room and realized that everyone already had groups. She didn't mind because she personally felt that she worked better alone. She looked in her textbook and found the recipe of the perfect cupcake. Keyline. Mmmm, that was her favorite.
Quote:
• 2 cups all purpose flour
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup cold water
• 1/2 cup oil
• 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 7 large eggs, separated
• 2 teaspoons grated key lime rind
• 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
Jen first measured two cups of flour and poured it into the bowl. She then proceeded to separate seven eggs carefully. Jen poured her 3/4 cup of water into the bowl and knew she could begin to stir.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Jen said and the bowl with some ingredients rose up a foot in the air. Then she said, "Fixate!" And the bowl stayed. "Locomotor spoon!" She said with force and focus and the spoon obeyed on the first try this time. She squealed and clapped for herself. While the spoon was tending to the bowl, Jen got together all of the other ingredients she needed.
Ellie practiced the 'wingardium leviosa' which she already knew, and was able to do it easily. Getting the bowl to stay, on the other hand, was hard. But she kept practicing, and got it eventually. Then she could make the spoon stir itself fairly easily. she had learned 'locomotor' but never tried it for mixing. She faired all right, in her opinion.
Ellie walked around looking for a partner.

Lexi eyed the Hufflepuff girl as she thought about the answer to her question. Hmm...students adding their own ingredients could be...well, dangerous. Tate would surely not approve if Lexi unintentionally allowed a student to burn the place down. Then again, it wasn't like the girl could add anything too terrible, right? "Hmm...go on ahead. Besides, I'm interested to see what you'll come up with," she answered. Lexi just...wouldn't look as the girl worked. She just couldn't bare to watch just in case disaster was about to strike.

Once Jen got everything separated and measured, Jen said "Finite!" and flicked her wand at the bowl, then she dropped her wand and caught the bowl in her hands. Glad that she didn't drop it or break it, Jen carefully put the bowl back on the table.
She put the sugar, salt, and vanilla in it. Then the oil and the cream of tartar were next. After she had those in the mix, she added the grated keylime rind.
Satisfied that she had all her ingredients safely in the bowl she repeated all of her spells for the mixing process. "Wingardium Leviosa!" She said loudly and watched it raise in the air. Once it had hit a foot in the air, Jen said "Fixate!" And the bowl stopped rising. After that she said "Locomotor spoon!" But this time, the spoon didn't move.
Jen groaned at her failed attempt, but she kept trying, she'd gone too far to give up now. "Locomotor spoon." Jen said a little too loudly. She blamed her frustration. Jen watched proudly as the spoon obeyed her and began mixing the batter. She was almost finished.
Alexandrie smiled at the teacher and muttered a low thank you before finally pouring the batter into the tins as the recipe said to do. Finally she muttered a "Finite" stopping the now empty bowl and the still stirring spoon before opening the oven door and putting the cupcake batter inside shutting the door, now to check on it in around 20 minutes.

"You know what..." she started, moving the book to the middle of the table so they both could see it. "You are definitely right. I think so." Ha! So now they barely even have to move to really cook anything!
This, was turning out to be one lazy class. She almost forgot how magic could be fun without ruining someone else's life with it. Or torturing them by hanging them upside down or something.
"Okay. So we need flour, eggs, cream of tarter...whatever that is, vanilla, salt and sugar." Destiny got all of that? If not, the book was totally right there. Woot!
Destiny listened to the ingredients she was going to need to summon, and there was a lot of them. She chuckled just thinking about twelve individual eggs flying through the air, and she wondered if she were to summon them all at once, if she would be able to catch them all. Unless of course, she summoned them inside their container. Usually eggs come twelve in the container..
"Okay then. I will summon them!" she said and stood at the side of the desk. She was going to need space to catch these things as they flew towards her. Pointing her wand at the supplies, she gave a flick, "Accio flour!" She waited for only a couple of seconds before the very BIG and heavy looking bag of flour came zooming towards her. "Merlin!" she exclaimed right before the bag had collided into her.
Catching the bag of flour like an American football, she fell right on her behind and even slid across the floor a few inches. Who would have known the bag of flour could zoom so fast!? So fast, in fact, it knocked her down!?"Merlin!" she exclaimed once more. Cradling the bag in her arms, she stood placed the flour onto her workstation. "I think you should summon the next thing. I don't want that to happen to me again."
She wouldn't sit. She had landed on the floor a little too hard.

Torin officially loved this class. Baking. He loved baking. It was his passion. Or well one of them besides photography.
He walked right over to Cadence as she had all her ingredients together. "Wanna be partners?" Because he loved working with her.
Cadence looked around when she heard her best friend's voice. WHEEEE! This could either be really good... or a really big disaster depending on the mood. Though, they were at school and Torin WAS a prefect so he probably wouldn't let her be too silly so as to make a giant mess. Though a flour war sounded like massive amounts of fun. Perhaps over the summer. Smiling brightly at Torin, she nodded her head. "Of course, Torin! But only if you go along with my super secret plan!" she said, bubbling with excitement.

Then Cadence turned back to the Professor, putting her newly lengthened hair back into a ponytail as Professor Carlton spoke to her. The look of apprehension wasn't missed by Cadi, but she had complete confidence in her plan. "Don't worry, Professor Carlton!" she said brightly. "Torin's going to be my partner, and he's a Preeeefect," she drew out the last word in a tone of exaggerated admiration as she batted her eyelashes at Nirot teasingly.
Turning to their ingredients, Cadence was suddenly all business. She was determined that she and Torin would make the best cupcakes in the class. Whispering, she pointed to the recipe for Vanilla Cupcakes and said, "Right, so... this on its own sounds boring, but what we're going to do is add rainbow sprinkles to the batter to make it colorful. And we'll need to make colored icing, too. I want to use the whole rainbow on top of the cupcakes. Hey! Do you think we can use that color changing spell on white icing?" she asked Torin with wide eyes, amazed by her sudden inspiration. That would be super cool.

"Pr---Professor Crumbs?" Lexi asked the girl, blinking then narrowing her eyes in confusion. Lexi frowned a little at the very thought of being Alexia Crumbs...dear Merlin! Hmm...so because she taught baking during her first lesson she was a crumb? " It's Professor Carlton." As she corrected the girl, she gave a hint of a smile, trying to show that she wasn't really upset or anything...
Selena flushed scarlet. "I'm sorry, I've never been really great at memorizing names..." Selena said sheepishly as she mentally slapped herself. Gahh. How could she make such a mistake! 'Stop thinking about that cupcake store back in the States right now!!' Selena scolded herself. "I'm really sorry!!" Selena said. Gosh. How was she ever going to live with this embarrassment? How was she ever going to go back to the class?! Maybe if she made a realllyyy good cupcake and gave it to her as an apology? The likeliness was zero.

She got up from her seat and went to find an apron in the box. Most of the ones that would've fit her well were gone. Eventually though, she found one that fit her perfectly. YAY!
She took it back to her seat and took out her wand... Now... What colour?
House Pride?
There was little to be proud about the Slytherin House so far this term, though. Still, she was PROUD of being what a Slytherin was really meant to be.
So her apron would be green.
But there were OTHERS in green aprons, too, from the look of it. Damn.
She didn't want to look the same as everyone else though. She wanted hers to be different.
POLKA DOTS!
Iris loved polka dots!
She'd use them. hehe.
As Iris raised her wand to cast the spell, she looked over the bench at Jimbo (ooc = lets pretend he's sat a few seats down from her.), Who'd JUST that minute changed his colour.
Green. With pink Polka dots.
Awww, man. That's not fair.
She grinned at Jimbo, "Hey! You stole my polka dots idea!" She said to him, pretending to pout (and failing. She can't pout.) "I'm still going to do it."
She looked back to her apron and lifted her wand back to it, swishing it right and then a full circle to the left, whilst saying, "Colourus Revolvo Green with big, WHITE Polka Dots!" Whoo! It looked awesome.
House Pride with Polka Dots. What else could be better than that?
She looked back to Jimbo, "What do you think, My white polka dots, or your... pink... ones?" *cheeky grin* Iris looked around the class, to see what other colours people had chosen.
Obviously, Satines would be purple. Iris couldn't see her Eagle friend, though. There were lots of people. Uh huh.
Ooh. Look. Monty.
Wait, she was yelling. Oh. Hey! "I did NOT steal any idea of yours! I didn't even notice you were here!"
Maybe that last part was the wrong thing to say. She might take it the wrong way...
Oh, so he was being challenged now? Pfft. "My polka dots are way better than your polka dots plus my shade of green is cooler." Okay, so it was the same shade, but still. Jimbo's was cooler. She was stealing HIS idea. Not the other way around.
Keeping his wand out, Jimbo was a bit excited to get started. He loved Charms. When he was being home schooled he was so good at charms his parents had to teach him more advanced spells. Not too advanced, but he was currently at about...a fifth year level or so. Around there.
So when the Professor demonstrated the spells they were going to be doing, he couldn't help but smirk. He knew how to do this stuff already, despite not being that great a cook. Placing his mixing bowl and wooden spoon in front of him he was so confident that he tried to do it non-verbally.
He swished and flicked his wand to try the Wingardium Leviosa spell, but it didn't work no matter how hard he tried. Okay, so maybe he couldn't do it non-verbally. Not yet, anyway. Oh, well. Trying the wand movement again he said, "Wingardium Leviosa!" and the bowl rose. "Fixate!"
Doing the same with the wooden spoon, he got them both in mid-air and tried the next spell. "Locomotor spoon!" Turning his wand, the spoon mimicked his movements. Grinning, he tried the last spell and prepared himself to catch the bowl and spoon. "Finite!"
*CLATTER*
Okay, so he didn't catch it. Oh, well. "Accio." he mumbled. He placed the materials in front of him and smiled when they were told to start baking. He flipped his book to the right page and looked it over. Nodding, he looked around for a partner and his eyes landed on Monty once more.

Yep, much more exciting with a partner.
Still grinning, she watched and listened as Santi cleand up the egg from the bowl. Yea, lack of practice, that was it. Catching the rag, she shot him a grateful look and cleaned the egg off her hand as best she could. It was still just a tad sticky, but not enough to bother her.
Making a mental note to learn the spells he was using, she turned her attention to the egg in his hand. He was gonna let her go again? He really wasn't worried about her messing up the cupcakes, was he? Savy? Eyeing the egg thoughtfully, she picked it out of the air. "It sounds like a plan."
Rolling the egg around in her hand, she studied it for a moment, as if deciding the best spot to crack it. Finally she began to softly tap it against the side of the bowl.
Tap...
Nothing.
Tap, tap...
Still nothing. She tried to tap the egg, just a smidge harder, still worried about having a repeat of the previous egg.
Tap, tap, tap....
Hmm. Was that a crack she heard? Arya dared to tap the egg even harder than before.
Tap...tap....taaaaaaaap.....
Crrrraack!
When she heard the egg crack, she froze with it still pressed against the bowl, afraid to move. Then realizing that she was just being silly, she giggled softly and gave the egg one more light tap, cracking it open. "Its cracked!" She said to Santi, as if she had just made a big accomplishment. Which for her it totally was. Using both hands now, she slowly opened the egg and allowed its contents to drop into the bowl. She placed the egg shells on the table and looked to Santi grinning. "Want me to do another one?"

Evelyn looked over at the back where all the ingredients were, and waited after Destiny said the spell. Where was it? Frowning, she saw finally saw something flying their way and...it was big. REALLY big.
With her hazel eyes widening, she jumped up from her seat and stumbled backwards away from the zooming bag of doom, watching it collide with Destiny, and making her friend fall backwards. Ouch. No matter how much it looked like it hurt, Evelyn couldn't help the sudden burst of laughter that escaped her. BAHAHAHAHA!!!! If only she could see that in slow motion!!
Clutching her sides, she tried to move forward to help her friend off of the ground, but she just ended up falling back in her seat and leaning her head against the desk, TRYING her hardest to stop laughing. It was impossible! Her sides ached now! She KNEW she shouldn't happen eaten that piece of candy before coming to class.
"Are you..." Snickering, she finally sat up, taking a deep breathe...a few giggles escaping her mouth every now and then. "Are you alright?" Being too late to help Destiny up, Evelyn looked at the list of ingredients to maybe find one that didn't involve possible injury. Oh, there was a nice safe one. Okay...
With a flick of her wand towards the back, praying to Merlin that there wasn't a huge container of it... "Accio Vanilla extract." Please no big container, please no big container... For a moment, she thought maybe she had done the spell wrong. Squinting her eyes to the back though, she saw a little brown thing zooming quite quickly towards her. EEP! With her reflexes, she moved out of the way and caught the little brown bottle in her hand.
At least it wasn't a big container..."Well, that was simple. Maybe we should go and get the eggs ourselves. I don't want to clean up a mess."
Alex sighed realising that thanks to making Chocolate Cupcakes something more simple then what others were making she was almost done..All she needed now was to make the icing. First however, Alex checked her cupcakes in the oven, she realised that they were done, now all that needed to happen was cooling them off and of course Frost them..Did the teacher even say they had to..She was better off asking, "Professor Carlton are we supposed to make a frosting for the cupcakes as well?" Frosting was apart of the recipe but the Professor hadn't mentioned it so she decided it was safer to ask then assume and get in trouble for it.
Cadi was too adorable for words. "Okay, I think we can change the colour of the frosting if you want to. What colour do you want to make it?" He wanted to just go along with whatever she wanted to do because she seemed so excited about it.
And he was too if he was being honest with himself. Even if it was just something simple.
Cadence beamed up at Torin in delight. She had expected the Master Pastry Chef to laugh at her idea, but he actually seemed to WANT to play along with her Rainbow Cupcakes! YES. "Well, first let's make the cupcakes, and then when they're baking we can work on the icing. How's that?" she asked him in a way that really meant, that was what they were doing whether he agreed to or not.
Sometimes, Cadence just got this way.
"On to business!" she said in her best imitation of a French accent. Looking down at the book, she skimmed through the directions. "Okay, so we should make the bowl levitate first so we don't have to try to levitate it up while all the ingredients are just sitting in it." Sitting the spoon in her bowl, she took her wand out and, with the proper swish and flick, said, "Wingardium Leviosa!" And once the bowl was at a good height, she tapped it and said, "Fixate!" Smiling at Torin, she said, "Ready to add ingredients? It says to add..." she paused to check the book again, "Everything but the eggs and mix it all together."
