"Nice to meet you too Zoe," he smiled. "Hot water? This is nothing. I can handle a detention. My old tutor used to lock me in the cellar if I was ever too intelligant for him. Called me a smart alec. Don't care though. Isn't my fault I have an elevated IQ." Dylan chuckled, "Ever had a detention before? They sound exciting."

"Rex...is our new target." she mumbled, flicking a piece of bread at someone random. Right after Kay that is. And where in the world was Kylie? She had yet to see this girl in Diagon Alley, the train, OR here at the opening feast. Was she coming back at all? Waaaait..."You thought what?" she asked, turning back to facing Josh with a perplexed expression.

Whatever. Shaking her head, she listened to all the commotion going on about the Professor, and he just took points. Seriously. This was like the worst feast ever. Now they were down a point, and just...ugh! "A lower class knight? They are out of their minds." Pfft, Josh should've been the king or something. "And this guy, is one of our new Professors. Don't get on his bad side." Although at the moment, she was having this little evil thought that maaaybeee if...no no. She didn't want Josh to lose any of his house points...Even if it was Gryffindor and would make her slightly happy.

"You're gross." she snickered, pushing her plate away from her. "Why would you think something like that?" Shaking her head, Evelyn continued to listen to everyone around them. That one girl that lost them points stood up and gave a speech about it. Seriously? Just...why? Fun? "This is definitely not fun." Frowning, she brushed the invisible dust off of the table in front of her so it was sparkly clean. At least it was something to do until they got to go back to their dorms.

"When do you guys think we will be able to go?" So they could get away from these insane people! But then again, Josh just got there, so maybe she could handle being with these people for just a moment more.


Until this guy ruined it of course. His voice was like...it just irritated her now. Yes, maybe he should leave instead. Whaat? Why in the world would either of them talk to him? She never spoke to the guy unless...she forgot that she did. Did she? Pffft. No. "Ah ha ha." She laughed slowly, winking right back at him. "Of course. I almost forgot." She'd need to tell Destiny just how to get back at him...

Ouch.
That hurt.

Just play it cool, like you always do, El. "Oh. Well. I think that, um, well.. I mean.. All her sentences seemed choked up and choppy. She sipped some water from a nearby goblet and continued, "I mean I think we should both just move on. What happened is kind of the past now, right? Just forget about it." Of course that was what she had wanted to tell her; yet, Ella couldn't appreciate her honesty more. People had played her so many times and befriended her just because of her looks. Violet was so much more different and unique, and Ella wanted to thank her for it. She would eventually, just not now. There was going to be a better time and place for that.

Zoe laughed, she liked Dylan's attitude.
"Detention?" she asked "Me? No" Zoe replied sharply.
"But on the bright side, it looks like we get to enjoy one together" Zoe paused, then started to chuckle to herself.

"Okay" Violet said she wished that James was still here she worried about him what if he...no he couldnt just no. "Ella what do you think happened to James?" said Violet with a worried look

Dylan chuckled, "Yeah at least we won't be alone. Me, you and Professor Whatever his name is." Well it was going to be highly interesting. "I am expecting lines, or something along those lines."

Still tormenting me when they can." he answered truthfully. " Jacob works at St. Mungo's Hospital in the Spell Damage Ward. Cash he's well he was still trying to decide what suits him."

Lucille made space for herself on the Slytherin bench, shimmying in between students next to the girl.
"Here," she said, lowering her voice. "Who's that creepy professor? Why's he walking away like he's just seen a crumple horned snorkack?" She supposed the girl had something to do with it, and if she did, then all Lucille could say was Kudos.

"Professor Happy I am going to call him from now on, or maybe Professor Sunshine" Zoe laughed again.
"I have no idea what we will be doing but like you said, we wont be alone so that is a bonus" Swiftly changing the subject Zoe proceeds to ask Dylan a question "So.....Do you know anybody else at the school yet? You're new aren't you?" Zoe sat sipping her drink with her eyes fixed on Dylan waiting for his reply.

Nathalie smiled. "I know what that's like. Except it's usually the kids tormenting me!" She listened as he described his brothers' careers (or lack of) and said, "Spell Damage? That must be very interesting. What about you, have you decided on a career yet?"

"I like it. Professor Happy he shall be," Dylan chuckled. "I think a detention with Mr Sunshine would be fun. Alone would be fun too. He might try and gouge an eye out or something."

Dylan nodded, "I met a few people when I went shopping. Fellow fifth years, and a few from other years." He reminisced slightly. Gold. He wondered where she was. And would she come and see him?

"Hello there" Zoe quipped as she noticed a girl sitting next to her.
"Oh, Him. Professor Happy" she said with a look of disgust plastered across her whole face.
"I asked him why he was walking around as though he had a broom stuck up his rump, and he lost the plot. he deduct 5 points for Slytherin and now I have a detention because I dared to have an opinion" Zoe explained.
"Stay away from that professor, there is something not quite right about him" said Zoe, trying to warn the girl.

Lucille cracked into a wide grim when Zoe had told her what had happened. "Brilliant," she said. "And to think, he lost the plot JUST because you said that? Pft. What's he gunna do when lessons start? He'll go insaaanee!" Lucille elongated the word. "But bravo. And dont worry, I'll keep my distace from Professor Happy."

A glazed look came over her face. "Hey!" she said with an idea. "We could try and cheer him up! Knit him a nice bonnet or something. I think he'd like that VERY much." She snorted at the look on the professors face when he opened his naiiice bonnet. Teehee.

Zoe laughed and as a result of having a mouth full of drink, it went down the wrong way and started coming out of her nose.
In a panic, she grabbed the nearest napkin to shadow here misfortune.
"So I guess I will see you tomorrow Dylan"
"Do me a favour and send me an owl as to where professor happys office is please, that is if you find out of course. I have no idea where it is"

Chaucer almost forgot how to speak when he saw how the professor had dispatched his beloved house of points while the meal hadn't even finished. The lad wasn't quite sure what points were, but he suspected it was all part of an elaborate plot to keep individual students in line. Three points and you repeat a grade - yes, that seemed reasonable. It was just like a demerit! Still, the man was quite intimidating and reminded Chaucer very much of serveral literary villains he encountered in his youth. I hope I never have to engage in conversation with that sir - no sir!

Ah, but Tobias of the Blue Rose spoke again. At this point, the boy could have said any number of wretched things and Chaucer would have listened fondly. "Potatoes? Yes, if you think they're delicious then I shall indulge myself." It had been years since he last ate a potato; he made a resolution to never go near the stuff when he learned in history that it was the last resort for even paupers, but then, lobster was once considered a throwaway dish as well... he reasoned. As he scooped the mash onto his plate, he contemplated ways in which to make the dish more vogue. This he fixed by applying some garnish on top comprised of miscellaneous bits he thought pretty around the table.

Wait, Tobias was still speaking? Right on, old boy you didn't even introduce yourself! Chaucer fiddled once more with his tie before presenting himself: "I am Chaucer Ipswich, fourth year, son of Nathan and Eleanor Ipswich and grandson to Abiatha Manorholt the Fourth!" He wasn't sure what his grandfather was known for, but his name sounded impressive enough to through about in public. "My academy was based out of Maulking Fen, a nice little wizarding community north of here. Nice as in dull, boy - never convince yourself otherwise. And the other students? I wonder. Perhaps they are being home-schooled or sent to other private insititutions. Personally, I think schooling is wasted on the lot. They might as well just go off and learn strictly about whichever business they plan to inherit, that's what I say."

Lucille looked at the scary boy with the potatos. They looked good.

"Oi!" she yelled at him. "Chuck us a potato!" She cupped her hands ready to catch.

Though how she was going to catch mashed potatos, she didnt know.

Hmm. Best just try it and see.

Zoe smirked "Hey, I think you may be onto something there" so said pensively "And if he doesn't like the bonnet he can put it with the broom" Zoe cackled, nudging the girl with her elbow jokingly.

Caden nodded " he likes it... Me oh I dunno exactly something creatures related maybe." he answered. " you? he asked.

Kylie walked through the Slytherin table, looking for Evelyn and Destiny. She was eager to hear about their summers. When she found them, she realized a conversation had already started... but she sat down anyway. She couldn't find anyone at the Hufflepuff table anyway, "Hey guys." She resisted the urge to hug them, it was so good to be back.

Dylan smiled. She suddenly started choking, "You ok there?" His eyes widened as it came out of her nose. Now that is interesting. He should try that. Would be an awesome stage effect. Hmmm now he had to think of a way to make blood come out of his mouth. That would make an awesome stab effect.

"I will see you tomorrow. I look forward to it," he smiled. "Expect to see my owl. It will be there soon."

At the question, Nathalie looked thoughtful. "Something involving potions. I think I might enjoy teaching..." She sighed, putting the pleasant dream out of her head. "But it won't happen. My father has all his ambitions focused on a grandson now. I'll be expected to marry and have children as soon as I leave school." She gave a brief, faintly bitter laugh. "He and mother have already started making a list of suitable matches."

Violet went over to a group of some people "Hi mine if i join?"

"Thank you Dylan, I will keep an eye out for that owl" She winked at Dylan and smiled. She was happy to finally be making some new friends.

Hahaha. Heeyyyy, Lucille could get to like this girl. "Definatly," she said, laughing. "Maybe on his first lesson we should ask him what his head size is? Just so we know it fits? Afterall, we wouldnt want it drooping over his eyes, now, would we?" Phaahahahahahahaha.
"Im Lucille, by the way," she said.

So all they had to do was invite this kid to sit down and he would have left!? Jeeez, she could have did that fifteen minutes ago! Did he have a twitch or something? Pffft, probably. He did have to deal with Kay. She would give Bunz a twitch, if she was around her so much. 'Yeah, you better leave..twitchy.' He's a git.

What was that saying? Great minds wander, well that was Destiny. Maybe her mind wasn't so great, but it sure did wander. 'It sorta just came to me?' She didn't know why she thought that. It was disgusting and she never wanted to think about that again. She looked up at Evelyn and smiled, 'It was pretty funny.' In a sick way. Is Lawsguini still over there mingling with the enemy? She glanced over there, for about the millionth time, and of course he was still there.

As Destiny gawked at that table, she noticed someone familiar, Kylie! She hasn't seen her since the end of term feast. Where has she been? She was torn. She didn't want to go over in enemy territory, but she didn't want to stay and hear about the lose of house points any longer. And she was afraid that Evelyn and Josh would start feeding each other. She wouldn't be able to bare that, so she was decided, enemy territory. Plus maybe she could have a chance at teasing Lawson. 'I'm gonna go get Kylie! She's over there.' Kylie better come, since Destiny was being all rebellious at the moment.

And that rebellious moment disappeared as soon as Kylie sat down next to them. How did she get here so fast? 'Kylie! Where have you been!? We were looking all over for you!' Well, not all over but they were looking for her..
