Calm was written all over her face! Calmness and a dash of hunger that is. Oh well, the opening feast only happens once a year, might as well enjoy it. But she couldn't enjoy anything with with the freak boy standing so close to her. And soon he might be sitting with them, which was not going to be enjoyable. Maybe she could get Kazi to throw him out a window too..

Destiny waited for Evelyn to finish her sentence, becauseee? Because why? There would be no reason for him to sit there, unless she just wanted Kay angry. But she didn't really think Kay would come over, not after what happened on the train.

Glancing up at the staff table, Destiny wished she could hear what they were saying. It looked like Bunz was about to lunge at the new red-headed woman, poor new lady. She doesn't know what she is getting herself into trying to shake her hand. 'Can you hear what they are saying?' Or at least know who they are..

Her attention was taken away from the staff table as someone very close to her started to speak..

Destiny turned slowly to the girl that talked to her. She wasn't really in the mood to talk to someone new, buuut the girl looked like a firstie, which was perfect!

She put on a smile, 'Hello, Phyre.' Cool name. 'I'm Destiny and that is Evelyn.' she pointed in Evelyn's direction. 'You a first year?'

Evan listened, trying to figure out how much of drama in this girl's family. So, as far as he could make out, she was adopted, or was mixed with someone else's kid in the hospital. In either case, she was a member of another family's, and apparently her hereditary family was unknown too. Wow. And she was still pretty normal. If Evan had gone through this... he would have totally some trauma. He nodded at last, and that was everything he could do, because his brain was kinda frozen to figure out the damage of such [an] event(s). It must have been huge.

Luckil though, one of the people Marie had introduced talked to him and saved him from finding a reasonable answer to Violet. "Hey..." What was he name again? Vicky? "Vicky." He hoped that he had heard it right. Taking a better look... this girl wasn't very firstie. "What grade are you in?" he asked as he frowned to guess. Around his age, maybe?

"Your mother read to you? Huh, whenever I asked my mum to do that she said it would encourage literary dependence and incite the monster in my closet..." Chaucer mused to himself. "Oh childhood, so full of rosey innocence! On that note, I always wondered whether fairies like those in Shakespeare exist! I mean, we have some pixies but they aren't exactly fair maidens that hold lavish parties, are they?"

"Well, I'm this is my third year here." Sarah said. "I used to go to a school in Holland but then my parents died and so I had to come and live with my Aunt, my Father was the Embassador to Holland, I was born in Holland." Sarah sighed as she remembered all the fun she had in Holland. "I used to love going around in all the Limo's."

Elisabeta smiled and said "That sounds like fun, i was born in Romania and i am an only child so i do say that my parents like to spoil me a lot"

Wearing his Slytherin uniform like a prisoner wore their orange, or striped catsuit, Sebastian sat at the end of the Slytherin table. Oh good Lord, he was back at his punishment, was he not? And worse, he was alone this time!

Carefully avoiding to touch anything that could have been touched by anyone else, the sixteen year old closely observed the staff table. There were a lot of new Professors, wasn't there? Brilliant.

Even the professors ... who got paid to be there, had managed to get away. And he was still stuck. Eh.

Aww. He didn't wanna wait till tomorrow. He wished school would start NOW. He was so impatient. And he wanted his food.
Ah, she read his mind. Either that or he was really obvious about it. Wait, a speech? He had to wait through a speech? Oh, he was never going to get his food.

"A giant squid? You've met a gianst squid named Mr. Henry?" Unbelievable. "You're a liar." Oh. The tongue. Well. It's on. He stuck his tongue out at her with a more exagerrated face.

Vicky smiled when she saw him hesitate before saying her name he didn´t have to know it anyway she was new and she knew it was going to be difficult to adapt at first but she was ok with it "I´m in fourth year what about you?"she asked truly interested; he seemed her age and she knew only a few people in fourth year 'Georgiana and Oliver only'

"Actually," Severia said butting back into the conversation, leaving her daydreams behind. "I can't help but wonder if the inspiration for the fairies that Shakespeare wrote about were nothing more than ordinary witches and wizards. Maybe he was beautifying what others saw as so horrible during that time period."

"Oh my summer was good. I spent most if it with my parents at home. I really miss them when we are away from each other so much so it was really nice being with them." Yep, Marie was going to miss her parents a lot but she was happy to be back at school with her friends. "I went and stayed with Kay at her cousins after we met up in Diagon Alley. That was a little wierd for me at first but it turned out to be okay. So how was your summer, do anything interesting?"
Marie took a quick peek at the staff table to see if Kazi had made it there yet. 'Yeah, he's not here, maybe he isn't coming back' she thought as she turned her attention back to Evan.

Looking at the newest arrival to their table Marie said "Hi, I'm Marie, how are you?" 'Wait, did she just say she was part veela. or did she say she wasn't?' Marie looked closely at the girl trying to figure out what she had heard. If the girl was veela then that would explain why Evan looked so nervous when she first came over to the table.

"Hey Vick, I hope everything you heard about Hogwarts was good. This is a pretty awesome school to be at." Marie couldn't picture herself at any other school. She was making lots of friends here and she was even meeting family that she never knew she had.

"That is so cool." Sarah smiled. "So what was in like in Romania?" Sarah suddenly asked.

Annie felt akward, wearing that uniform, that skirt, that little jacket and the girly tie. Ugh, guh. And for that akwardness, she decided to take a look around the Great Hall, before daring to eat anything from the table. She still felt dizzy, nervous.

Her small tie was giving her a nightmare, too tight for her neck. She took it off and started to play with it, and she noticed that the track she was walking led to the Slytherin table. Ooh..and that glance of the skies through the windows, looked beautiful. She stood there, beside the table and looked out.

"This is wonderful..." Annie muttered, still amazed. She may have noticed the boy sitting there.

Fourth? Nah. Why did everyone Evan met had to be older or younger? Was there no third year in this school except Devilmont?! "I'm third." he said in a little bit sad voice. It sucked to be third. He was stuck with Devilmont in the classes again. Hopefully there would be someone from other houses.
Wow. His parents would never let him stay at a friend's house. He thought. How was his summer... QWC. The end. "I went to Quidditch Cup." Nodnod. It was worth the money, but he would have had more fun in a FIFA World Cup. Anywho. He smiled to back up to Marie's comments about the school. It ruled. Hehe.

Elisabeta smiled and said "It is very beautiful and we have some lovely winters at times but i will miss the summer weather"

Iris nodded. "Yes. He lives in the Lake. I don't know who named him though. He likes shiny things though. I had to give him a bracelet so he'd tell us stuff." Iris laughed as he stuck his tongue back out at her, then decided to give him a rather brief (for her standard) explaination as to why she wasn't a liar. "I am not a LIAR!! *haha* There's loads of people who can prove it to you. Like my best friend, Aaron. I've not got a clue where he is though ... I lost him getting off the train. He'll be about though. But yeah, anyway. Back onto Mr Henry. He came IN TO the school, like swam in. School flooded two years ago, see. The Merprince wasn't happy about him not getting the throne down at the bottom of the lake, his sister, the Merprincess was. Sooo, to get his own way, he used Mer-magic to flood the school, tried to kill several professors by flooding them into their offices. My Ravenclaw friend helped to save Mr Masterson from his hut, actually. And Mr Henry knew what was going on and stuff. The water got to the kitchen level, before the teachers and prefects managed to save the day." Iris nodded. He sooo wasn't going to believe that. I'll not tell him that the Slytherin common room got flooded though, because when he realises that they're in the dungeons, if he's smart - he'll figure that out himself.

Art smiled at Natasha."Well a name is a very important thing. It holds alot of meaning, you should take alot of consideration as to what you name him. If you like, when I meet him again, I can help you name him." Art smiled sweetly.

"I can't wait for you to meet them. They are very sweet ladies. I am sure that they will adore you." Art beamed. He really loved his pets very much.

" Only alright? Well , I am glad that we get to spend time together now. I will try to make this term, 'Awesome', for you." he grinned. He adored her so much already.


"My mother and I were very close. She is the one who instilled a love of books into me. It was part of our Mother/Son time. She would incourage me to read with her and then on my own." Art smiled. Thinking of it brought back warm memories.

"Monster in your closet? My dad tried to use that bit on me once, but then I went looking for the monster and he gave up." Art laughed.

On his last comment Art grinned broadly."No the ones that we know of are not quite akin to the Faries of Shakespeare tale. How I hope that they do exist though! I would love to meet Lady Titania, that is a 'dream' for you."

Chaucer's dull grey eyes shot over to Severia and gave a wide stare as though she had just told him the Philosopher's Stone was in her pocket. The lad had a habit of sitting down and asking himself a thousand and one questions and becoming very bored during the actual answering aspect. As a result, anyone who offered an explanation to his thoughts was as good as a sage.
"Truly? Muggles have such bizarre imaginations - innovative and silly! And yes, the familiars... black animals are considered to be of the fey realm, aren't they? And also associated to witches? I wonder, I wonder..." He leaned back in his chair and stared up at the unusual ceiling. He was surprised at the enchantment and made a little surpised jump before resuming a contemplative position; finger tips touching and raised like a steeple.
"And there's always the link with the dead - marvy what a different notion! You had me entertained there, did you see?"

Chaucer raised a skeptical brow as he continued his stare into the hypnotizing ceiling. "The funny thing was, dear one, that I too looked for this monster. I had read Beowulf and was emboldened by his defeat of Grendel." He turned his serious stark features to Art, as though about to reveal a terrible secret. "And you know? I searched all through that closet - which was no easy feat mind, it does have all my clothing - and there was a dark box at the far end that I didn't recognize. I was tempted to simply fling the thing into a fire, but I wasn't allowed near a match at that age. That's responsible parenting!" He added this matter-of-factly before continuing.
"So I continued towards it... I carefully opened the lid. I tell you, my screams shamed the banshees that night. Turns out there was a bogle in my closet that my parents never knew about. I had a bit of bad luck on a farm as a tot, and it knew this; it formed a maniacal turkey." The hysterical gobbles of which still haunted him to this day. My heart races now to even think about it!

Sarah smiled. "I miss the summer in Holland." She suddenly looked at the staff table and she saw some people she hadn't seen before. "I went back there this summer for a few weeks."

JC walks to the Slytherin table after she got sorted. She looked around for Nancy the sixth year she sat next to on the train.

Jimbo gave her a disbelieving look. "You know, following up the statement 'I am not a liar' with that story, isn't exactly a smart idea if you want me to believe you." But of course, Jimbo was just a tad curious. "Let's say that actually DID happen. Does that kinda stuff happen every year?"
Because if that DID really happen then he was in just the right school.

Vick laughed "You don´t have to worry Marie i can asure you it were nothing but good things. They made me want to come here in spite of being away from my friends" she said

"well"she smiled "A year of difference it´s not too much right?" "You went to Quidditch World Cup? that´s great i wanted to go but with everything that was going on you know the moving and that, i couldn´t" she said a bit sad "Guess i´ll have to wait for the next one"

All Sebastian could hope for now was for this feast to be over fast so he could get back to his dorms and write a letter to his Mother. Dejá vù, much? But at least, she could send him some food ... some proper, real food he could actually eat.

He was absorbed in his thoughts he barely noticed the girl talking right behind him. Usually, he wouldn't have even paid her the smallest attention, but he sighed once he heard what she said. Please, no. "I know I am wonderful." He simply said, making a dismissive gesture with his hand.

After that summer, he was quite honestly fed up with girls swooning over him.

Annie tried not to hear the boy's comment. How can you break a boy's heart and tell him that you are not talking about him, but the paradise just standing outside the castle doors? "I wasn't really talking about you, but...if you say so..." Right, the boy was cute. Annie noticed it at a small glance she gave him. But he like, didn't look so pleased around the place.

"I was talking about the grounds, the lake...the whole Hogwarts itself. It's quite wonderful." Let's give it a cheer.

"And you are? Mr. Wonderful..?" Annie teased a bit.

"Yes, a name is important." She agreed thoughtfully. "Oh, thank you! I was hoping someone might be able to help me out." Nattie said to him. "That's nice of you."

"Neither can I, really." Nattie said.

She laughed, happy. Though she knew without thinking about it, this year would be awesome. She would not have Tammy, but she would enjoy it, and she was going to love it. "Lets hope I can do the same for you, then."

"Yeah um so anyway are looking forward to this year?"said Violet akwardly
