Hmm, you can do more than one color? Interesting; why didn't my grandfather teach me this?

"Ok...Micans Silver!"

As Jacob said this, silvery sparks flew out of his wand, sparkling and dazzling enough to keep him entranced.

This is so much fun. I can't believe defense against the dark arts spells include this one. This can really get the opponent distracted!

"I'm not entirely familiar with that spell, Ashley, but this spell is mostly just a flashy one. You can't get any height or distance out of the sparks and they disappear within seconds." She looked at teh class. "Go ahead and practice a bit more before I assign homework."

Amy followed the professor's instructions and practiced the spell more. She really liked it.

"Micans Baby Blue!"
"Micans Pink!"
"Micans Orange!"

One after the other, sparks flew from her wand.

After repeating the spell six or seven times with different colors, Des was satisfied that she had gained control of the spell.

'It might come in handy,' she thought, as she went to her desk and added it to her parchment of notes.

alyssa continued the spell with different colors and combination of different colors. she was amazed at the different colors of sparks coming from her wand.

Sebastian nodded at the professor before trying again. What color sparks should he make this time?

"Micans Black," he said, trying to experiment. Out of his wand came black sparks. They hit the floor and disapeared. Any color did work!

"Micans Green, Micans Orange, Micans Purple!"

And the selected colors flew from his wand one by one, all in the same sparkling and dazzling effect that the Headmistress did.

Wow, I better stop for a little while to contain myself. This is too much fun.

And so, Jacob finished his fun and went over to his desk, pulled out a piece of parchment, and waited for the Headmistress' assignment.

Sabrina glanced over at Jacob, stifling a laugh. He looked as though he was having the time of his life, which was good considering what happened last night. She turned her attention back toward her wand and thought for a moment.

She gave another flick of her wand and intoned "Mican Orange!" Orange sparks began to spew from the wand. As she looked around, she saw so many colors that the class was beginning to look like a rainbow.

Hey, this is a blast! It's going to be so cool to show this off to everyone else. she thought.

"Micans sunset!"

Afton had desided to experiment a little., this was dangerous she knew. Suddenly, her wand started shooting out yellow, orange, pink, dark blue and red sparks. It looked just like a sunset.

"Hey Julie, Look!!"

She smiled as the sparks disappeared.

"Professor, would it be dangerous to experiment with this spell? Like just a few minutes ago, I tried 'micans sunset' it worked, but I want to try other things you know, like...night fall or something, see, it could be black sparks with yellow, Black for the night sky and then yellow for stars. But would it be dangerous to experiment like that?"

She had her hand rasied.

Ashley nodded her head in thanks to Rae and attempted at the Sparking Spell once more, now having figured out that the flick of the wrist is key to the success of the incantation.

"Micans Red!" Ashley shouted with a quick flick. Just like Rae had said these sparks shot in short distance from the wand, and disappeared almost right away after being created. With a satisfied smile on her face, Ashley further practiced the incantation attempting at any color she could think of (which varied from lime green to puke brown).

Kali practiced the spell a couple more times producing pink sparks once and red sparks the next.

'These remind me of the muggle childrens' sparklers during holiday fireworks,' she thought as she looked at the red sparks emitting from her wand.

Kalaya took her stance and wondered what color to do.
Finally she flicked her wrist and said "Micans Sky Blue!" Some light blue sparks came out of her wand. Kalaya grinned, still happy with how she was doing.

Linnea first practiced just flicking her wrist and leaving her arm still, when she felt she had acomplished that she attempted it with the words.

"Mi-cans red" she said flicking her wand up, but what she wanted did not happen. She frowned then listened around.

Ahhhh. yes.

"Me-Cans Red" She commanded her wand distinctly while flicking her wrist and a lovely display of red sparks erupted from her wand point.

Julie stared at afton in suprise and said "wow afton thats fantastic" with a wide grin. Julie wasn't sure if she should experiment with names yet. Afton was way more older and experienced than she was.
Julie flickered her and and said "Me-can pecan" and a brownish/hazel color sparks appeared. Thats wonderful she thought.

Eunice carefully said, "Micans Red!" Nothing happened. She repeated her command, slightly stronger this time. Still, no results happened.

Sighing, she loosened her arm and cleared her throat. "Micans Red!" she instructed clearly. To her delight, red sparks instantly shot out of the tip. A grin spread across the face as she tried another color. "Micans Blue!"

Anelreas practiced the spell a few more times, going green to black to gold and then in reverse.

Satisfied with the practice she recieved, Ashley pocketed her wand back in her robes and headed over to her desk. She opened her book of parchment and took her self-inking quill in her hand to scratch down a few notes about the Sparking Spell; which included its effects, the correct pronuciation and possible mishaps that can occur.

She did this while awating instruction from Rae, while sounds of the others saying the incantation with different colors put in place floating through her ears.

Copying exatly what the professor was doing, Mimi spoke the incantation clearly and loud enough to hear herself over the rest of the voices, "Micans Silver!"
she smiled to herself at how wonderfully sliver sparks flew out the end of her wand but she had a question. "proffesor? is this the spell you used when you were trying to signal for help like you told us in your story? or is this just a spell for enjoyment...something like fireworks?"
Hoping that the question wasnt a dumb one, Mimi looked eagerly at the prof. for an answer.

Eunice was having too much fun. "Micans Purple!" "Micans Turquoise!" "Micans Forest Green!" After half and hour or so, she finally stopped her practice, confident that she'd be able to perform the spell in her sleep. Instead, she scribbled down a few tips on her parchment for doing this spell, just so it'd be fresh in her mind. She always remembered things better after she wrote them down, anyways.

alyssa went back to her table and wrote down notes of the speel she got the practise.

"The spell is pretty harmless, Afton. It's responding to what your intent is, so if your color intent is clear, you might be able to get it to do marvelous things. Micans Ravenclaw!" A flood of blue and bronze sparks flew from her wand and popped across the floor. "If you have no intent, you'll get no response."

"I'm going to assign homework, but you're free to work on wand skills with this spell a bit longer if you want. I'd like two parts to your homework, you may copy it from the board."

Ok, ten magical creatures, in comparison with ten muggle creatures. Got it. Now Come up with ten smart questions and/or interests in Defense against the Dark Arts.

As Jacob finished writing the assignment down, he was sure proud of himself.

Ok, another assignment to do. Time to write!

Eunice took out her homework planner and wrote down the homework word-for-word before packing up her book bag.

Afton nodded at the professor.

"So pretty much anything that has colour in it like say, a tree? you could get those colours?"

She quickly returned to her seat and copied down the homework.
