As Jacob tried to digest this information, he found himself at a conflict.

Ok, quill-hand, so righty. Now, loosen the knee.

But as he did this, he had difficulty if his knee was loose enough.

Ok then, not a problem, now, fluid arm, and grasp your wand.

And Jacob got into what he called, 'Casting position' and wondered if he looked alright, or as if he's sick. He then tried to fix this, but straightening his posture, and kept a loose, but firm enough grasp to hold on to his wand.

Anelreas took her stance, twirling her wand once in her fingers before gripping it lightly, pointing it ahead of her as she had done many times before in the previous years.

Afton nodded and pklaced her wand in her left hand. She extended her wand arm, keeping it fluid like the Professor said. She also placed her feet how the Professor said. Then she tighted her grip on her wand just a bit. She was ready for the Professor to give the next set of instructions.

Linnea planted her left foot in front of her and had her back leg with less than 25% of her weight. She extended her right (wand) arm, firm but not locked, and held her wand in her hand.

After hearing the Prof's words julie became worried, however did the positions she was asked, found a comfortable stance, planted the non-wandside foot and kept wandside knee loose and flexible waiting for her to continue

Mattio had never heard of a wand stance before, so he tried to follow the proffessor's directions as closely as possible.

Ashley looked around and studied the other classmates as they formed their stance. She then focused on her own; keep your wandside knee loose and flexible. Extend your wand arm, keeping it fluid. Don't lock your elbow.

So she did.

alyssa did as she was told and took her pink wand in her right hand and did her thing.

"Good... keep that leg flexible, so that you are free to move or pivot on it if you need to. I see some natural duelers in here. Excellent, excellent." Rae pulled her own wand from her braid and waved it carelessly to get their eyes on her. "I'm going to teach you a simple spell for now. Older students, please try this spell today, and you can practice other spells in the Arena. This is the "Sparking Spell." It causes sparks of a variety of colors to shoot from the end of your wand. They are harmless and will not catch your friends on fire. I promise."

She grinned as she held her wand in front of her. Flicking it upwards, Rae shouted clearly, "Micans Red." A wave of brilliant red sparks poured from her wand. "Make sure you flick upwards using just your wrist. Your arm shouldn't move. You may change the color of the sparks if you want. Go ahead and try at this time... remember the incantation is pronounced 'me-cans'."

Afton did as instructed. she had heard of this before and she knew you could do rainbows because she had seen it.

"Micans Rainbow!"

She smiled as a lot of different colours sparked from the end of her wand.

"me-cans pink" alyssa said not too loudly and pink sparks began to shoot out of her wand." cool" she said with a smile.

Sebastian stood firmly where he was and said the spell. "Micans Red."

Red sparks emitted from his wand. "Sweet!" he said.

Ok, a simple spell. Shouldn't be that bad.

Jacob then tried to say the incantation.

"Micans."

Nothing happened.

Wait a second what was the spell?

He then realized that there was a second part to the spell. She just wanted to check clear the pronunciation of the other spell.

Ok, with a flick of the wrist and...

"Micans Red! Jacob said.

Then the same result occured, just like the Headmistress.

Wow, even simple spells are amazing. Jacob was gazing at the sparkling lights, entranced by how delightful they are.

Des licked her lips and flicked her wand upwards

"Micans Blue!" she shouted.

Small blue sparks came out of the end of her wand, it was nothing like the teacher's sparks, but it was a start, especially considering this was her very first time she attempted to use her wand.

She analyzed her posture once more and concentrated on the space in front of her,

"Micans Blue!" she cried once again, and this time the sparks grew bigger than the last.

Sabrina's eyes widened as she saw the sparks fly from the end of the professor's wand. Keeping her stance, she closed her eyes repeating the spell in her head a few time. When she opened her eyes, she gave a casual flick of the wand and clearly said

"Micans Pink!" She giggled as pink sparks began issuing forth from her wand and glanced around to see how everyone else was doing.

Amy quietly said "Micans Yellow." Nothing flew out of her wand. "Hmm, maybe a little louder, she said to herself.

"Micans Yellow!" Wonderful golden sparks emitted from her wand. She jumped in the air. "Yes!"

Anelreas watched the Professor perform the spell then turned back into her stance and flicked her wrist in mimick to the Professor. "Micans Green!" She smiled when the green sparks appeared and pivoted to wait for the Professor's next instructions.

Mattio listened to the intructions from Proffessor Rae, and then tried the spell himself. On his first try of "Micans Red" he forgot to flick his wand, and nothing happened. He felt foolish, but was not discouraged. He tried it again, and a few sparks out, but they were not nearly as bright or as many as the proffessor's. Eventually, though, he got the hang of the spell, and proceeded to try out the blue and green variations of it.

Kalaya concentrated, and flicked her wrist upward.
"Micans Blue!" she said clearly. Her wand began to emit blue sparks.
Awesome! she thought as she looked up at them.

Kali took her stance and with a flick of her wrist said, "Micans Green."

A sputter of sparks came out.

She tried again, saying the spell more clearly than before, "Micans Green."

Bright green sparks shot out of her wand.

"Wicked."

Julie was soo excited when she saw the red sparks comming out of her wand. She then tried a different color, she moved her wand from her wrist and said "Me-cans Violet' and violet sparks showed up from her wand.

Ashley nodded her head to Professor Rae, then looked at her own wand. "Micans Red" she thought to herself a few times. She wanted to make sure she got the pronunciation of the incantation correct. Not only was that important with the wand movement was just as important as well. "Flick upwards with just your wrist," she then thought to herself.

Keeping her stance in mind, the Hufflepuff girl attempted the incantation. Though she told herself the wand movement many times, Ashley used her whole of her arm shotting it straight into the air and shouting "Micans Red!"

Nothing happened.

"Brilliant" Ashley thought. After reviewing what she could have done wrong, she realzied that her first mistake was indeed the wand movement. She raised her hand to get Professor Rae's attention.

"Professor," she called. "Is there a difference between the wand movement of this Sparking Spell and the spell Pericculum which is also used to send red sparks specifically into the air?"

As silly as the question sounded once she finished asking it, she hoped that no one else would think her odd for asking it.

"Micas Lavender," Bella said, pronouncing the spell wrong.

Her wand made an odd noise, and something silvery shot out of the end, hitting the opposite wall and dissipating into little sparks. She winced and dropped her wand, and reached up to plug her ears.

Hesitantly, she picked up her wand and listend to some of the older students around her, trying to figure out what she did wrong. She listened to the correct pronunciation, and tried once more.

"Micans Lavender!" She said once more, flicking her wand upwards, and lavender sparks shot out of her wand. She smiled, proud of herself.

Kalaya decided to try the spell again and took her stance.
I suppose I should do yellow know..
Quickly she flicked her wrist, careful not to move her arm, and said clearly "Micans Yellow!" Yellow sparks shot out of her wand.
I like this spell she thought grinning to herself.

alyssa did the speel two more times before stopping waiting for further instructions from the professor.
