Default That Summer - V.4

Once again this is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, kept ever so strong and alive by it's loyal RPers. As the title says, this is version (4) four, the first three threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

OOC:

Ferris listened as Vianna explained that the foundation should stay on all day as long as he didn't rub it off or get his neck wet at all. "Alright," he said with a brief nod before listening as she suggested he get going, adding that she'd see him later in class, that she might get lost and he'd have to help her. "Alright, Vi," he said with a weak smile, getting to his feet. Now that this hickey business was dealt with, he was back in reality, back to the fact that he'd just spent a wonderful night sleeping next to his girlfriend and now he had to leave. "I'll see you later," he murmured as he took her hands and intwined their fingers.

Vianna smiled at the boy at her side as he took her hands into his own and intwined their fingers, mentioning that they would see each other later. The young girl nodded her head. "Later," she agreed. "And then back here tonight. Same time," she added with a bit of a grin, blue eyes now sparkling at the thought of spending another night like last night with her boyfriend; it was perfect, and though the day was just barely starting, she was already looking forward to that night. Enthusiastic, the young girl leaned over and placed a short kiss on the boy's lips, then pulling away with the brightest of smiles. "Go on. I have to leave later anyway, in case anyone's around they don't see us coming out together."

ooc: I'm off now, Ruthersss!! I'll be back to torture Fervi further tomorrow!

OOC: Awwww ok! Bye Deeee!

Ferris gave a warm smile as Vianna mentioned that they'd have to come back here tonight at the same time, watching as a bit of a grin fell onto her features. "Of course," he promised with sparkling brown eyes before returning the warm kiss she'd placed on his lips. As they broke apart and she told him to leave as she'd have to leave later in case anyone was around, he gave a brief nod, "Alright, alright, I'm going," he said with a small, quirky grin. "I'll see you in class," he added before releasing her hands and pecking her lips before leaving the bedroom. He peaked in head back in a second later, a teasing grin on his face, "Oh, and thanks for the hickey, gem. You did an awfully lovely job of it," he teased lightly before flashing her a grin and heading out the door. It was obvious that he wasn't really upset by it, but rather extraordinarily pleased that he had something knew to tease her with. Lovingly, but still teasing.

Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris agreed to get going before placing a kiss on her lips the girl was quick to return for the brief second it lasted. And just as she was about to go look for her uniform, the boy peaked his head back into the room, causing the girl's light eyebrows to raise slightly, curiously. She listened as the boy thanked her for the hickey, adding that she did an awfully lovely job of it, and the girl's jaw dropped while her brows furrowed disapprovingly. She sent the nearest pillow in his direction, but the boy was gone before it could touch him. Chuckling softly with mild and rather sheepish amusement, Vianna shook her head slightly and disappeared into the bathroom, taking a long warm shower before changing into her Gryffindor uniform.

She was ready to go about half an hour later, and she gathered her things - including Margaret's make-up - before very cautiously leaving the room and heading up to the Gryffindor tower to return her friends' things and gather her bag and books. The girl was distracted all through breakfast, not really paying much attention to what Margaret was going on about as her mind wandered off to the night before instead, a dazed look on her features. She couldn't wait for classes to be over and nighttime to arrive again; all she wanted to do was be with her boyfriend again, to drown in a sea of marshmallows again, and enjoy a long, peaceful sleep with him. But she tried her best to snap out of these thoughts, as the bell echoed in the large Hall and the time to head to classes arrived, waking up Vianna a bit as most of the students around her began to gather their things and head out.

Luckily for Ferris, Flitwick didn't give him any papers that morning, in fact he didn't hear a word from Flitwick all morning, even at breakfast his seat was missing its stout owner. Confused, the boy was just about to head to class when a note flew to him from an owl, setting it on his nearly empty plate and flying away immediately. The boy recognized his boss's neat scrawl and opened the letter to read the following:

Dear Mr. Montgomery,

I hate to inform you that I've become a little ill as of recent. Nothing to worry about, just a simple headcold, however, I can hardly be expected to deal with teenagers with my head so cloudy. Therefore, your opportunity to teach has come much earlier then both you and I had expected; today.
Now, not to worry, the class isn't learning any new material today. I've constructed a small handout that they should do in class, and once that is finished I'd like them to practice the spell we've been learning all week. Just explain to them the situation, hand out the worksheet, and help whoever needs it.
So sorry about the late notice!

Sincerely,
Professor Flitwick

Vianna was on her way out of the Hall when an owl suddenly flew in, catching the attention of many students who followed its path with their gaze, which led them to none other than Flitwick's assistant. Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly, curiosity on her features, but she didn't really get much of a chance to even wonder about the boy's letter when her hand was taken and she was being dragged out of the Hall.

"Honestly, Vianna! I don't even know you anymore - I might as well be talking to a wall!" said an aggravated Margaret. Vianna turned to the girl and gave her a small, apologetic smile before muttering an 'I'm sorry' to which Margaret merely rolled her eyes in response as she led the girl over to their Charms classroom. Vianna sat, as usual, near the front, by the windows. Margaret sat beside her, and behind them were a couple boys whispering to each other. Vianna looked a bit puzzled; Flitwick was usually always in the room when they arrived, but most of the class seemed not to even notice this as the room filled with chatter and everyone shared with each other the latest news and gossip.

Oh no, oh no, oh no, oh no, ohhhh noo.....Ferris was not prepared for this. He was not mentally prepared to be in complete control of a classroom! He'd never even tried before! How could Flitwick possibly think that he could handle such a thing?! But before he knew it, the bell had rung and students began to pour out of the Great Hall and to their first period classes....He had a first period class to teach! He gulped before stuffing away the letter in his book bag and heading out of the hall, nerves in his stomach. Why was he nervous? They were just students! He could handle students! Well....there were an awful lot of students....Before he knew it he was already at the Charms classroom, hesitating at the door for a moment before letting out a sigh and walking in. He swiftly crossed the room, plopping his book bag down on his desk before turning around to see the class staring at him with expectant eyes.

The boy gave a weak smile at the sight before taking a step into the center of the front of the room, still slightly nervous. "Uh...Hello," he said with a soft chuckle, obviously a little awkward at this new level of attention from the class but still giving a small smile nonetheless. "Professor Flitwick's out sick today, and therefore that leaves me to be your teacher for the day," he announced, slowly gaining a little more comfortability as his nerves fell away. There was something about being at the front of the class, as the person in charge, that felt oddly comfortable to the boy; which was strange, as Ferris was hardly ever good in front of people. But these weren't people; this was a class, and that changed things.

Vianna was absentmindedly pulling out her books and notes from her book bag when Margaret suddenly began talking again, asking her what she'd been needing her make-up for that morning. Vianna suddenly froze, blue eyes widened. "Uhhh…" But thankfully for the girl, Ferris walked in right at that moment, catching the attention of the class, which included the redheaded girl sitting at her side. Vianna sighed in relief before curiosity took over once again - why was her boyfriend by himself? Where was Flitwick? She scanned the room a second time for any signs of the short little man, but there were none. And it was precisely at that moment that Ferris began to address the class, explaining to them that Flitwick was out sick that day and so he was their teacher for the day. Vianna's eyebrows rose, surprise now filling her blue eyes before it was taken over by a mix of amusement, endearment, and admiration. The boy looked perfect in front of the class, addressing them as a group, like a puzzle piece fitting right in. Not only that, but for some reason seeing him as an authority figure rather than just her boyfriend, made the girl see him in a whole new light, in a way she hadn't really seen him before; and it was nice, it only made her want to kidnap him even more. She was barely aware of the dazed look on her face, and of the way she so shamelessly stared at the boy until Margaret elbowed her. "Ow!" Vianna furrowed her brows at her.

"You never told me what you did with my make-up!" hissed the redheaded girl.

"Later!" Vianna whispered, turning her attention over to her book as if it was the most interesting thing in the planet; though her mind wasn't on it, but rather on what excuse she was going to use and lie to her friend with.

OOC: Sorry that took so long! Long post!

Ferris let the students take in this information before continuing, "He's instructed me to give you a worksheet he wants finished as soon as possible this class period, and then we're going to practice the spell we've been practicing for the last week." A good portion of the class groaned or sighed, their eyes rolling at the idea of practicing the exact same spell they'd been learning for the past week (many with little to no hope of actually understanding it yet).

"Hey, I didn't come up with the lesson plan," Ferris said with an amused smile, watching as the faces turned slightly curious, as though realizing for the first time that this new assistant Professor wasn't part of Flitwick himself; that he seemed to have his own thoughts and wasn't part of the decisions of making the lesson plans.

One brave student spoke out, attempting to skip out on having to practice the spell once more, "Couldn't we just....not and say we did?" he asked, raising his bright red eyebrows and letting a grin fall onto his tan features.

"That, I'm afraid, is called losing my job," Ferris replied with an amused smile, folding his hands in front of him as his brown eyes reviewed the class for a moment, obviously thinking as all remaining nerves seemed to leave him. "It's really a very simple spell, and it's going to be on your final exam, I can promise you that." Many students' eyebrows rose, unaware that this would be on N.E.W.T.S or anything of the sort, and for those few students that really weren't getting the hang of it yet, became slightly panicked.

A different boy, one who seemed rather sure of himself and very unsure in Ferris's qualifications to be leading this class, spoke up, "If you don't have a say in the lesson plans, how exactly would you know anything about what will or won't be on our final exams?" he asked rather rudely as he sat up slightly. "After all, you can't be older than what...eighteen?" the boy challenged. "Flitwick obviously likes you, probably because you were teacher's pet or something, but that doesn't give you any right to tell us what will be a deciding factor in our marks."

"I took this course last year," Ferris swiftly replied, his smile falling slightly as his dark pensive brown eyes found the seventh year boy easily in the crowd. Suddenly seeming much older than his seventeen (almost eighteen) years, he stood up a little more, his back straight as he folded his arms over his chest.

"Oh, and that makes you a know-all in all things related to Charms?" the boy replied with raised eyebrows.

"Oh, I'm no 'know-all'," Ferris denied quickly, smoothly. "I'm not saying I know every last bit of this class. I'm not saying you have to take my word for any advice I'm giving you as an assistant Professor to try and help you." He paused, giving him that, before continuing. "However, I will say that I've spent seven years in this classroom with Professor Flitwick. I've spent a month of five of my seven summers here, in this classroom, doing extra study with Professor Flitwick, seven hours a day." He picked up the nearest textbook, holding up the hefty book in his right hand, eyebrows raised slightly, "I've learned this entire text book backwards and forwards, I know the exact page number of almost all the major spells that you've been learning last year, and that you will learn this year." He set down the text book, crossing his arms once more, "I've been a part of Flitwick's Charms tutoring department for the past four years, and he has helped me personally figure out countless spells and theorems on magic, as I decided early on that I wanted to major in something to do with Charms. I know the man backwards and forwards, just as I know this class backwards and forwards." Ferris paused, his brown eyes never leaving the rude boy in the fifth row, "So, no. I'm not saying I'm a 'know-all'. But you might want to give me a listen every once in a while."

The class appeared to be minorly shocked, most faces disbelieving as Ferris turned his back to the class, walking back to his desk to grab the worksheets. Yes, that felt good. "Now, if you wouldn't mind filling these out, I can sooner get to helping those of you who actually need or want my help," he said as he passed out the worksheets down the rows. It was rather odd how all nerves were gone from him, and that his words and voice were so smooth, so seemless as he spoke to the class.

ooc: Oh wow! That's okay!

Vianna chuckled very softly to herself as a boy somewhere in the back asked if they could just not do the work but say that they did, amusement in the girl's smile as that particular student was known for always trying to find a loophole out of doing things; though the girl's blue eyes remained glued to the book before her as she flipped the pages absentmindedly, not wanting to catch Margaret's attention again. However, she looked up again as Ferris mentioned that this spell would be on their final exam, and her eyebrows rose slightly at this piece of information, as did the eyebrows of the girl at her side. She'd better practice that spell a little more, then… she'd gotten the hang of it last class, but she hadn't really practiced since.

Margaret watched the boy in front of the class for a moment before turning to Vianna. "Can't you just convince your boyfriend to let us out early or something?" she asked hopefully, but the way Vianna's brows furrowed disapprovingly gave the redheaded girl her answer. With a sigh, she returned her attention to Ferris, wondering vaguely to herself how he'd managed to turn her best friend into a distracted mushball. However, she was soon distracted from these thoughts as another boy spoke, and this time it was one well known for his habits of talking back to the professors and challenging his classmates. Margaret rolled her eyes and paid no attention to the conversation going on, beginning to doodle on her notes absentmindedly instead.

Vianna was more alert, though, and her jaw dropped at the way this boy was addressing the professor's assistant. She wouldn't have taken it so personally had she not known Ferris; but she did, and so she couldn't help feeling rather bothered when a student came along and decided to give him a hard time. However, the older boy was quick to prove he could take care of himself, and with each word that escaped his lips, Vianna's eyebrows rose further and higher. By the end of it all, she had the largest of smiles on her face, and even Margaret looked up from her doodles to listen to the boy who'd managed to catch everyone's attention now.

And just a moment later, after leaving the rude seventh year boy speechless, Ferris had begun to hand out some worksheets, asking the class to fill them out. Vianna took her own copy into her hands and began to scribble on the paper with a quill, ignoring all the comments and questions Margaret was throwing in her direction now.

As soon as Ferris finished passing out the papers, the students began to get to work on them, a low murmur of talking falling over the classroom as it often did when the Professor would set independent study time. "He wants it done by the end of class. The sooner you're done, the more time you have to practice. The more time you have to practice, the less suckish you'll do on the exam, and the better the score you'll get on your N.E.W.T.S." Ferris explained rather bluntly, though there was a light-heartedness to his tone, a slight amusement with the class that they seemed to pick up on and the tense atmosphere from just moments before disappeared as they began to work, a few even chuckling. "If you have any trouble, I'll be at my desk," were his last words before taking a seat behind his smaller desk and beginning to work on grading papers.

Vianna gave a faint smile as Ferris spoke, though her gaze remained glued to the paper on her desk, her brows furrowing slightly in concentration as she filled out the exercises. She really wanted to get this done soon; she'd never been a fan of written work and much preferred to be practicing the spell they'd been learning until she could master it. Margaret, too, was quiet as she worked on her own hand-out, only speaking every now and then when she wanted Vianna's opinion on something. And though this was only one hand-out, there was quite a large amount of work assigned from it, and Vianna had to flip from one page to the next in her book to find the answers to some of these questions, as there were quite a few she didn't know straight from her head. It took a while, and about an hour later , or maybe a little longer, the girl was finally all done with it. Her redheaded friend finished just a moment later. "Are you going to collect this now, Professor?" asked the girl, looking rather tired and eager to get out of class already. That handout had been a bit of a mental workout.

Ferris looked up from his stack of papers as a very familiar voice cut through the silence, only to find Vianna asking if he was going to collect the worksheet now. He glanced at the clock on the wall only to realize that it was indeed getting towards the end of the hour, and he gave a faint smile to the girl he knew so well, "Yeah, that's a good idea," he said with a soft chuckle, getting to his feet and taking out his wand. Upon seeing that everyone was about finished, he gave them a final warning to do any last minute adjustments before magically flying all of the papers over to sit on his desk in a neat pile. "Alright, the bell's going to ring in about ten minutes," he said with a sigh, leaning back against his desk with a small, friendly smile. "Considering the fact that you didn't actually get very much time to practice the spell today, that can be your optional homework for tonight," he suggested with slight amusement in his eyes as a good portion of the class groaned. "Aw, come on, don't give me that. You're all very capable. I've been grading most of your papers for the past week or so, and everyone seems to understand Charms fairly well. You've just gotta put in that extra effort and that's what's going to get you a good mark on the N.E.W.T.s." He flashed them a grin before realizing that they might've had some questions.

"Uh...Did you guys have any questions that I could answer?" he asked, figuring that this was what he was supposed to do. Teachers were supposed to help and inform...right? "About the class or anything, really?" And now that it was really the last ten minutes of class on Friday morning, he felt like they could have a little bit of free talking time, knowing that they'd all been stressing through that worksheet for the past hour.

ooc: Aahh it was Margaret asking that, but it doesn't matter.

Vianna made a mental note to practice the spell they were learning in Charms later that night, always having been one to do her homework even if it wasn't necessarily written or anything. She smiled faintly as the older boy directing the class assured them all that they were capable of learning this spell and doing it well, before then asking if they had any questions. But neither Vianna or her small group of Gryffindor friends including Margaret seemed to have any questions; instead, the group began to chatter absentmindedly while Vianna began to pack all her things away. She was distracted, though, as Margaret tapped her shoulder and handed her a small, folded note. "From that kid at the back," she muttered absentmindedly. Vianna's brows furrowed slightly but she nodded her head, though she was distracted from reading the note's contents as Margaret started again - "Are you going to tell me what you were doing with my make-up? You're not wearing any, so don't tell me you wanted to try it on," she said, narrowing her gray eyes slightly at the Italian girl.

"I did, actually. But it was too light, so I took it off," Vianna replied, putting on a face of disappointment just for her friend before turning away and beginning to pack once again, hoping Margaret had bought that lie. And luckily for her, it seemed she did, as the redheaded girl didn't bother her about this topic again and instead distracted herself chatting for what was left of class until the bell rang, announcing it was time for everyone to head to their next class.

OOC: Sorry, I didn't realize!

Ferris gave a brief nod as no one seemed to have an questions and returned back to his desk, starting to grade papers once more and get ready for his second period class. He watched as all of the students filed out of the room, giving a small wave to the few students that said a quick 'goodbye!' on their way out the door. He let out a small sigh, running a hand through his dark curls, before leaning back in his seat and beginning to grade papers.

OOC: Feel free to skip to whenever you want, whatever works!

ooc: Hmmmmmmmmm... I guess I'll skip on to the following morning or something, with Fervi in the RoR.

The weekend had finally arrived, and Saturday morning meant no waking up early, at least for Vianna. She was cuddled up beneath the sheets and covers of the bed, sleeping merrily and peacefully, no dreams disturbing her as her body rested. Though as much as she wanted to, she couldn't really sleep in too long as this was the first Hogsmeade trip of the year, and the group would be leaving later in the morning. As Ferris's alarm went off, apparently still set in the early hours of the morning 'cause I'm not sure at what time the boy has to leave on weekends, Vianna's brows furrowed in her sleep and she pulled the nearest pillow over her head. "Make it stop, Professor..." she muttered sleepily, her voice muffled beneath the pillow.

OOC:

Ferris walked back into the bedroom as he heard his girlfriend's voice asking him to make something stop, trudging back into the bedroom with two cups of coffee in hand and easily able to hear the incessant beeping. "Sorry, sorry, I forgot to turn it off," he whispered, not wanting to wake her up as he set down the coffee on the bedside table and grabbed his watch, turning off the alarm quickly. Luckily for Ferris, he had most of his weekends off, like this one, and the only reason that the alarm had gone off was due to the fact that he'd had it on a schedule now and it went off everday at seven thirty.

He turned to see his girlfriend cuddled up in the sheets, just as he'd left her a few minutes before in order to make coffee, with a pillow now covering her head. He grinned at the sight before climbing onto the bed, pulling the pillow away from her so he could see her pretty face. Ferris smiled at the sight of her sleepy expression as he slipped his arms around her comfortably, pressing a sweet kiss to her cheek. "Sorry about that gem, I forgot," he murmured, still half asleep really. Except now he smelled a little different; his Ferris-scent (some sort of mix of earthy wood smell and warmth, if warmth was a fragrance) was now mixed with the smell of fresh coffee.

Vianna was almost immediately back asleep the second Ferris turned the alarm off, but it was then that the boy took the pillow that had been covering her face, and bright sunlight caused her blue eyes to squint as she opened them slightly, examining the figure that had climbed into bed just a second ago. She smiled faintly as his lips met her cheek and he apologized for leaving the alarm on. "It's alright," she muttered sleepily, her blue eyes closing once again though she wasn't completely asleep yet. Her mind was a bit more awake now, and she breathed in deeply as a warm aroma filled the air. "You smell good..." she murmured, too sleepy to realize that the smell her nose seemed to approve of was the smell of coffee in the morning.

Ferris gave a soft chuckle as Vianna told him that he smelled good, a comment he wasn't exactly expecting but appreciated nonetheless. "Thanks, but I think it's the coffee you're smelling there, Vi," he replied with the warmest of smiles, watching as his girlfriend kept her eyes closed, obviously still a little sleepy. "I was making you some coffee, but don't worry, it'll be there when you want to get up," he murmured softly, brown eyes sparkling as he watched his girlfriend cuddled up in the sheets, the sunlight coming in from the windows crossing over her face and highlighting her nose, and her rosy lips. He was unaware that the natural light was doing the same to his features as he laid next to the girl, leaning over her just slightly as he admired her pretty face.

"No... it's you," Vianna contradicted sleepily as Ferris explained to her that what she was smelling was the coffee, not him. And the boy was right, but Vianna was more asleep than she was awake at this point, and so she wasn't making much sense anymore, and she herself wasn't too aware of what she was saying either. She listened as he then added that he was making her some coffee, but that it would still be there when she wanted to get up. Vianna smiled faintly and her blue eyes fluttered open then, only to find the boy a very short distance from her, merely watching her. She chuckled softly at this. "What, was I drooling in my sleep or something?" she asked with another chuckle, blue eyes still sleepy though she refused to close them now. She wanted to see the boy at her side; it was such a pleasant sight for the girl, she didn't want to stop looking at him, she didn't want his brown eyes or his straight nose or his smiling lips to disappear in the darkness that came with closing one's eyes.

Ferris gave a warm, appreciative smile as Vianna told him that the scent that smelled so good to her was him, something he was happy to hear. As she asked if she'd been drooling in her sleep, he let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head as those blue eyes fluttered open to watch him just as he watched her. "No, you were being pretty in your sleep again," he contradicted as though this was something that every human being happened to do while they slept, and could often be a bother to their Professor boyfriends. "And no matter what, I can't keep my eyes off you," he pointed out with a warm smile, brown eyes sparkling at her.

Vianna rose her eyebrows just very slightly as Ferris informed her she was being pretty in her sleep again, before an amused but flattered soft chuckle escaped her smiling lips. "Neither can I, Professor," she replied softly as he informed her that he couldn't keep his eyes off her. "Especially when you're substituting for Flitwick," she added a little more playfully. "You make a really hot professor, you know that?" she told him, leaning over to peck his lips gently.

Ferris's smile widened as Vianna told him that she had trouble with keeping her eyes off of him especially when he was substituting for Flitwick. His eyebrows rose, reminded of the previous day as they'd hardly talked about it the night before when they'd just roasted marshmallows and enjoyed one another's company. He listened as she then added that he made a really hot professor, and his eyebrows rose, a flattered smile falling onto his features before Vianna suddenly leaned forward to peck his lips, a gesture that he returned lovingly. "Oh yeah?" he murmured rather flirtatiously, an amused smile on his face as he pecked her lips once more playfully.

Vianna giggled lightly as Ferris gave her an 'oh yeah?' and then pecked her lips playfully, a gesture the girl returned with an amused smile on her lips. "I'm not sure how, but... you're different when you're up there," the girl explained, blue eyes sparkling. "And I think a lot of girls are going to start getting jealous of my luck," she added with a chuckle.

Ferris's smile widened even further at the sound of his girlfriend's giggle, a melodious noise that he would always love to hear and never failed at getting him to smile. He listened as she explained that he was different when he was up there, that she thought a lot of girls were going to start getting jealous of her 'luck'. He gave a playful scowl, "Oh quit it, stop saying 'luck' like I'm the catch! I'm the one wrapped around your finger," he said playfully, flashing her a grin. "Besides...I had a little trouble keeping my eyes off you yesterday," he admitted with a warm smile, leaning forward to kiss her cheek just because he could. "Between telling that little twerp off and passing out papers, you were looking so cute over there talking to Margaret..."
