| | | That Summer - V.4
Once again this is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, kept ever so strong and alive by it's loyal RPers. As the title says, this is version (4) four, the first three threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread: Quote:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:
"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."
Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!
Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!
(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: He can lean down well enough! Besides, aren't you supposed to stop growing at like eighteen or something? So...y'know, he'll probably only be 6'6 a couple inches taller.
Oh, and she was sitting!? Whoopsies! Super job reading there Ruthie...top notch... Ferris gave a sheepish smile as Vianna informed him that he was cute, giving him one of those 'Aw, Professor's that he loved to hear so much. He gave a soft, reluctant chuckle as she continued to giggle, unable to help but love the sound. It was then that she leaned over and closed the space between them, kissing him sweetly, a gesture that he returned lovingly completely unaware that he'd ever had frosting on his lips. He broke apart reluctantly a few moments later though, knowing the chances of someone walking in were extraordinarily great, and flashing her a quirky smile. "Thanks for all of this Vi," he said softly, admiring her expression for a moment. "I mean...I'm not really one for parties or surprises or anything....but I liked this one," he admitted with a warm smile.

ooc: Well, I'm not sure how it is for guys, but I think that's about right. either way, Ferris will always be a giant next to poor little Vi (who isn't even that little in the first place! )!
Bahah yeah, it's alright.
Vianna's blue eyes fluttered open as the kiss came to an end, the taste of cake frosting now on her tongue as the boy spoke, thanking her for the party. She smiled and shook her head slightly. "It was mostly my parents' doing," she said a bit sheepishly, her gaze falling to the plate sitting on her lap as she listened to the boy continue, now telling her how he wasn't usually one for parties and surprises, but he'd actually liked this one. With a bit of a grin, Vianna looked up at him again and her blue eyes sparkled now, clearly overjoyed with his words. "I'm really, really glad you liked it, Professor," she said, leaning over again to place a kiss on his cheek. "But... I'm afraid this is the last surprise party I'm ever going to go along with," she added with a soft chuckle. "I don't have the heart to pretend I forgot your birthday," she confessed, shaking her head slightly as her forehead began to crease. "You have no idea how horrible it felt to see the disappointment in your eyes, Professor. I felt terrible, I never want to go through that again," she said, making a bit of a face as she sunk into the pillows of the comfy couch.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: That's one of the best things about Fervi though! They're so awkwardly different that way... Ferris admired the way Vianna's blue eyes began to sparkle with each of his words, a wonderful thing he could sometimes make happen if he said something that made the girl truly happy. And he loved that, every time it happened. But as she spoke, explaining that this was the last surprise party she was ever going to go along with, his brows furrowed, a little confused. Not that he really wanted another surprise party, but it was rather random seeing as this one had gone so well for them. He listened as she continued, confessing that she didn't have the heart to pretend like she'd forgotten his birthday. His expression relaxed into realization, giving a weak chuckle before listening as she explained how horrible it felt to see him with such disappointed eyes, that she'd felt terrible and never wanted to go through that again. He couldn't help but be a little disappointed that he'd let his previous disappointment show as he'd really made an effort not to let her see it. Or he tried to make an effort. But looking at those pretty blue eyes suddenly saddened and her forehead creased, he couldn't help but be completely endeared as he watched her sink back into the pillows. "Aw, Vi," he said softly, slipping his arm around her as he set down his cake. He let out a soft chuckle, leaning forward to place a warm kiss to her forehead, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. I tried to hide it."

ooc: Totallyyy. -Sigh-
oh gah--- wait it was a dreamy sigh!! That doesn't count!!
Vianna, who had been frowning down at her untouched cake, looked up as the boy at her side slipped an arm around her and chuckled softly before placing a kiss to her forehead, which got the girl to smile despite the current mood she was in. She listened as he apologized, explaining that he hadn't meant to make her feel bad, that he'd tried to hide it, and the young girl shook her head slightly. "No, it's not your fault, Professor," she told him. "And even if you'd done a wonderful job at hiding it, it's still no fun acting like you didn't remember your boyfriend's birthday… I still would've felt bad either way," she confessed quietly, giving a weak chuckle before placing a kiss on his cheek. "I'm really glad you're enjoying your birthday though," she said.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: DEEEEE! Don't make me poke you! :po-- (this is me threatening to poke you with only doing half of the poke thing ) Ferris gave a small smile, "I really am," he told her as she mentioned that she was glad he was now enjoying his birthday. It was then that he rememebered something and his expression turned a little thoughtful, thinking silently for a moment before speaking aloud to the girl at his side. "So...Are you really going to spend tonight with Margaret as well, or was that part of all of this?" he asked, trying to hide the hopefulness in his tone. He couldn't deny that he really wanted to spend tonight at her side, but didn't want to sound too obvious in case she really did want to spend that night with her good friend.

ooc: LOL!! I'll stop, I'll stop. Promise.
Vianna's smile widened as Ferris confirmed that he was, indeed, enjoying his birthday, before then asking if she was really going to spend this night with Margaret or if that had been part of the surprise birthday celebration. Vianna chuckled softly and shook her head. "No, I'm not going to sleep in the dormitories tonight," she told him with a smile, though she didn't add anything more and left her response at that, feeling no need to get too specific.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: That's what I thought you said! Hmph! Ferris had no hesitation after she assured him that she wasn't sleeping in her dormitory that night, and let out a grin, making it obvious that he'd been hoping for a certain answer from her which he'd received. "So are we gonna spend tonight in our room?" he asked, his dimples coming into view on his pale face. He was, of course, referring to the Room of Requirement, though he didn't know it had a specific title. So it was just 'their room'.

Vianna began to pick on her cake absentmindedly when Ferris then asked if they were going to spend the night in their room, and she looked up at him then, giving the boy a small smile. "I don't think so, Professor..." she muttered, cringing slightly to herself; she'd been hoping he wouldn't ask this.
ooc: omg it's only two lines, it looked a lot longer when I was writing it! I'm sorry!

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Wha...? What is this miscellaneous mwahahahaing smiley doing there!?!
Oh, and it's cool, lol don't worry about it! I do that sometimes too.... Ferris's eyebrows rose as Vianna told him she didn't think that they'd be staying in their room that night, before they furrowed in confusion. "Wait...then wha--" he started to ask, brown eyes curious when his mother walked into the room, immediately starting to talk to the couple and cutting off her son from making any further inquiries about Vianna's plans for that night. Ferris got up, giving his mother a hug and thanking her for the gift and card she'd sent him this morning.

ooc: "miscellaneous mwahahahaing smiley" OMG. I literally actually laughed. & I have nooo idea what it's just randomly doing there in the middle of the post... hmm...
Vianna looked absolutely thrilled to have Mrs. Montgomery in the scene as the woman walked into the room, successfully managing to get the girl out of answering any more questions the boy at her side might've had. "I'm glad you were able to come, Mrs. Montgomery; I know it was kind of short notice..." the girl said a bit sheepishly, giving the redheaded woman a small smile. The whole party had been planned in only a few days, after all, ever since Vianna had sent her parents that one letter and they flipped out when they saw it mentioned Ferris's birthday. She was a bit startled, though, as her plate suddenly flew very abruptly out of her hands and made its away through the room and over to none other than Vince. "Sorry Vi, but you didn't look like you were going to eat it!" the boy said, flashing her a grin before taking a large bite from the cake that had once been hers before Mrs. Vincenzi seemed to come out of nowhere and slapped the boy's arm gently but disapprovingly, scolding him in Italian for such behaviour. Vianna sighed. "Sorry about him," she muttered, as if the boy had just stolen their cakes rather than her own.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Me toooooo! But wait--no! You know Dee! YOU KNOW! Stop the whistling! Stop it NOW! Telll mmmeeeeee! "No, it wasn't a problem," Mrs. Montgomery denied with a warm smile to Vianna mentioned that the invitation had been a little late notice. She then turned to Ferris with a soft chuckle, "Your father was dying to come along but I made him stay behind; he's got a meeting today," she explained and Ferris only managed a weak smile. He was still getting used to his father's presence within their household, not really trusting of the man yet. But his mother seemed to be happier than she ever had been, and he trusted his mother's judgement over everything else. "He did, however, want me to give you this," she added, handing him a rather large envelope. The boy examined it curiously, noting the 'Ferris' in big lettering on the front before he gently opened the seal and took out a lovely card wishing him a Happy Birthday. He smiled slightly at this, but as he opened it, out fell a whole wad of wizarding money; all crisp, fresh from a bank. "Wha--?" he said, looking to his mother who gave a shrug and an amused smile. "What is this?" he asked.
"Read the note," she instructed, and the boy looked to the card to read the following: Dear Ferris, on your eighteenth birthday I considered getting you something sentimental and priceless, and I've included that on the back. But I thought about what I wanted most when I was eighteen, when I'd been with your mother for a good few years (ooc: they'd been like crazy Hogwarts sweethearts, in case you were wondering) and I'd just graduated. And I realized that that was money.
Now I know it may seem like I just handed you a wad of cash for lack of better gifting ideas. But I really put some thought into it. When I was your age, I wanted nothing more than to have some type of financial backing so I could go and see what there was to see. And so, that's what I've given you. Financial backing for your new adult freedom.
Love, your dad.
And on the back of the card, was an old polaroid picture of the two of them on Christmas day, Ferris sitting on his father's lap at the age of three, book in hand and toothless smile on his face.

ooc: o_x!! Owieee! Oh fine, I'll confess! D: The smiley is actually a fail from my part, lmao, 'cause I was writing in invisible ink... but I forgot invisible ink doesn't make SMILEYS invisible too... Hence why it looks like it's just randomly floating there.
Vianna watched with mild amusement as Mrs. Montgomery handed her son a rather large envelope, sharing that it was from his father who hadn't been able to come that day. The young girl's jaw dropped slightly as the money slipped from the envelope and into the boy's hand, not having expected that at all. Her eyebrows were raised slightly for a moment there before her expression returned to normal, watching as the boy at her side silently read the note that came in the envelope to himself, then turning it to reveal a picture that got the warmest and most amused of grins to adorn the girl's face. She'd never get tired of seeing baby pictures of Ferris; and it rather shocked her how much the boy looked like his father; she'd only seen the man in person once before, but to this day the resemblance still surprised her every time. Her gaze then returned to the boy at her side, not sure what to say to this as she actually really had no idea what was going on.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: NOOOOOOOO! HOW DID I NOT CATCH THAT ONE!?!?!?! O_O Not cool Dee, not cool! *glare* AND NO SIGHING!
EDIT: (literally laughing out loud now) I totally just realized you made a smiley for a smiley that's gotten it's eye poked out! I love it! "Did you tell him that this was ridiculous and he shouldn't have done it?" the boy asked his mother with the trace of an amused smile on his face, still a little shocked.
"No, I did not," the woman denied easily, almost proud of herself as she let out a soft chuckle. "Fer, you deserve a little financial backing, he's right. And, to be honest, your father's acquired a good deal of money over the past few years and he's explained to me that he'd been saving it up for us," she explained with a soft chuckle. "He's ridiculous, but it's nice to know that we all have some financial backing," she added with an amused smile. "Now, I'll see you both later. Have a wonderful birthday Fer," Mrs. Montgomery said with a warm smile, kissing her son's forehead before heading back into the dining room.

ooc: HAAHAHAHAHHAHA!! Awww mannn. I'm SO clever!! HAHA!
Heheheheheh isn't it great?
Vianna listened quietly to the conversation between the other two and she couldn't help a rather small amused smile coming to her lips. Perhaps this was marking the beginning of a better relationship between Ferris and his father? She hoped so; she knew the boy's matters with his family were none of her business and so she usually stayed out of it, but there was no denying the girl would much rather see her boyfriend on friendly terms with his father rather than keeping a cold, distant relationship with him.
As Mrs. Montgomery then left the scene, Vianna returned her gaze to the boy at her side and her smile widened to a grin. "Well, well, well! Looks like my Professor's all grown up," she said teasingly, a chuckle escaping her lips. "You should probably save that, though," she said, though she knew the boy didn't have plans to go and waste it all away in a couple nights in Vegas or something.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: It's amazing! And NO! I refuse to admit that you are clever! *glare* "I'm not grown up," the boy denied with a sheepish smile, methodically placing the money back in a neat stack and putting it back in its envelope, immediately using magic to send it back to his room at Hogwarts. "Oh, I'm definitely saving it," he agreed with an amused smile as Vianna suggested that he hold onto the money. "That's going towards you and me," Ferris added a little more softly, his arm slipping around her once more and pulling the girl into his chest. OOC: I need like twenty minutes! I DEMAND IT!

ooc: Fine, be like that. (u_u) <- look now it's sad.
Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris denied to being grown up, before agreeing to her suggestion of saving the money. A smile adorned her lips as he slipped an arm around her and pulled her closer, then telling her that the money was going toward the both of them. At this, Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly, and she was quiet for a moment before letting out a slightly flustered chuckle. "Professor..." she started quietly. "I really... appreciate that you want to share your things with me, but... that money's for your future, I think it would be wise if you invested it in something that would benefit you in the end - like opening up your bookstore!" she suggested with a grin, honestly feeling a little guilty that Mr. Montgomery's hard-earned money would end up used on anything else that wasn't his only son.
ooc: GAHHH!! Fine!

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: *sigh* Oh, yeah, I can still sigh! Finnneeee...You're clever....*disgruntled* Ferris watched with curious brown eyes as Vianna assured him that she appreciated that he wanted to share his things with her, but she thought that the money should go towards something that was solely to benefit him, like a bookstore. His brows furrowed but they soon returned to normal as he gave a soft smile, "When I say that this money is going towards you and me, I don't mean that it's going to be spent on frivilous things," he clarified, searching her blue eyes. "I mean that it's going towards our travelling, that it's going towards...a house, and expenses of living on our own," he admitted with a warm smile, unsure how she felt about this. He knew that they'd talked about marriage and a home a long time ago, months ago, but he was still serious about it; he still wanted it. "I don't mean right now, obviously," he said with a sheepish chuckle, breaking their connected gaze for a moment, "I just mean....that I fully intend to make my future a part of your future. And now...it's nice that I have some money for that."

ooc: WOOOOOOTTT!!
Vianna chuckled softly as Ferris explained to her that the money wasn't going to be spent on frivolous things, that he meant for it to be used for their traveling, and toward a house and the expenses of living on their own. At this, Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly. She, too, knew they had talked about this a long time ago, but she'd never really been entirely sure if Ferris was sure he wanted a future with her, if perhaps that had all just been a sort of in-the-moment kind of talk. However, as he explained his plans to her now, it became clear to the girl that he was actually serious about this, that he seriously planned to live with her in the future, and then... well, who knows what that could lead to? But it meant all of that said so long ago wasn't just fantasy talk, it was real, and he had real plans to make it come true. By the time the boy was done explaining himself, Vianna's blue eyes were sparkling quite joyfully at him, the warmest of smiles on her lips as she leaned over and placed her lips on his own, letting them rest there for a couple moments before pulling back. "You're amazing, Professor," she said softly. "I love you. And I really, really can't wait to start building a future with you... together."

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Oh no, what if she hadn't been serious back then? What if she had just been agreeing with him back then and she didn't really like the idea of having a future thing? They hadn't talked about it so long, she could've very well changed her mind even if she was serious! Upon realizing this all in one moment, Ferris's hesitant brown eyes returned to Vianna's only to see her blue eyes sparkling in a way that made his heart skip a beat. Before he could speak, she'd placed her lips on his own, a gesture that he quickly returned lovingly for the couple moments it lasted, breaking apart to hear her say that he was amazing, that she loved him and that she really really couldn't wait to start building a future with him; together. He grinned that lopsided grin of his, unable to help but be completely thrilled with her words. "I love you too," he murmured softly, "I'm so glad you haven't changed your mind," he let out in a sigh, giving a soft chuckle as he admired her for a moment.
And it was a horrible mushy lovefest on the couch, the couple just staring at each other like it was their first time seeing one another in decades. Both pairs of eyes sparkling, neither appeared to be aware that anyone else in the world existed let alone was in the same room with them.

Vianna's smile widened as the boy before her told her he loved her too, before then adding how glad he was that she hadn't changed her mind. "And I'm glad you didn't change yours," she replied, basically beaming at the boy, pure joy radiating from her smile and sparkling blue eyes. She was quiet for a couple long moments, merely watching the boy as if he was the most fascinating work of art she had ever seen, before speaking again, "I think you should open your presents now, Professor."

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris let out a soft chuckle as Vianna replied that she was happy he hadn't changed his mind, amused that they both had figured that the other had forgotten their plans. And just as he was getting sucked into the pretty features of the girl next to him, she spoke, suggesting that he open his presents now. "I probably should," he said with a warm, amused smile. But before he moved, he leaned foward and treated the girl to a sweet kiss that lasted a couple moments before he broke apart and got up from the couch, starting to lead the way towards the dining room.
OOC: Should we skip the present unwrapping? Unless you had something super exciting for the Vincenzis to give him?

ooc: Hahahha not really, let's skip ahead.
So this is me fast forwarding (don't laugh at my lameness! ):
It had taken a while to get through all of the presents that had been piled up in the dining room waiting to be opened by the birthday boy. Everyone in the room - even Costa - had gotten something for the boy; except for Vince and Victor, of course. According to them, 'Ferris is too old now to be getting presents'. But in reality the boys were just reluctant to be too nice; it was like an unspoken sort of rule between all three boys now - they had silently agreed somewhere along the way to get along, but never to be too friendly with one another. Vianna merely rolled her eyes at this but made no comment.
There were normal and appropriate presents like clothes, books, and art supplies, then there were smaller but still thoughtful things, like a quill from Margaret. "She said it's like a Quick Quotes Quill, except it's called 'Quick Notes Quill'. It'll write down the notes and corrections you tell it to on whatever papers you're grading," Vianna explained, feeling rather grateful toward her best friend for having put some thought into the present, unlike some people - Luca and Leonardo, for example. Luca, who never took his red cap off and had a whole collection of them in his home, had given the birthday boy a green cap celebrating one of Italy's most popular Quidditch teams; as if Ferris cared for Italian Quidditch. And then Leonardo, who - much to Vince's relief - had to miss the party, sent his present by owl. It was a shampoo and conditioner that, according to the little note he attached to it, was supposed to 'make girls fall flat at your feet!'. Vince and Victor and most of the boys found this to be rather amusing, though Vianna seemed positively infuriated by this. Her own cousin was giving her boyfriend tools to catch girls! How dare he!
Still a little annoyed by this, Vianna took the last box that was left on the table, one that looked almost identical to the fake present she had given the boy earlier that had turned out to be an old used boot. "This one's from me," she said with a small smile as she handed it to the boy.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: I'm soooo laughing at your lameness right now. As Ferris came upon a gift that was very much like the fake one he'd already opened, a small, suspicious smile came to his pale features. He looked over to the girl at his side as she explained that this last one was from her, and he took it into his hands with a warm smile. He watched her, giving her the playful gaze that said, 'What in the world did you get me?' as he gently started to open the wrapping paper. He torn it off gently after taking off the boy swiftly.

ooc: -Flails- So meannnnn! I'm not RPing with you anymore!!
Vianna gave a soft but rather nervous chuckle as Ferris gave her a playful look that clearly asked what she'd gotten him. She couldn't help but be a little nervous, though; everyone was here watching this, and little did they know that in only a matter of seconds, the pair standing before them would soon disappear, as the object inside the neatly wrapped box happened to be yet another portkey. "Here, I'll help you," said Vianna, just to get her hands on the portkey so Ferris wouldn't disappear by himself, and the second both their hands met the fabric of the old woolen sweater that was inside, the pair disappeared into a blur of light and completely out of sight. Oh, she'd definitely be getting some angry howlers from her mother after this. But Vianna didn't care. It was spontaneous and Ferris wasn't expecting it, which was exactly what she wanted. Only a few seconds later, the pair landed in a lightly crowded street in what seemed to be your typical small European town.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Nooooo I was just kidding Dee! Ferris's brows furrowed just slightly as Vianna suggested that she help him, a little confused as to why this would be necessary. But before he could think too long on this, his surroundings had disappeared and he was falling into a world of nothing with Vianna at his side for a good second before they landed in a small European town. Brown eyes completely wide and shocked, the boy stood stock still, not moving a muscle. "Where are we!?" he asked, completely confused and utterly surprised. Was that supposed to happen!? Why would they need to travel!?
