| | | That Summer - V.4
Once again this is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, kept ever so strong and alive by it's loyal RPers. As the title says, this is version (4) four, the first three threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread: Quote:

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:
"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."
Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!
Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!
(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

Vianna took a small sandwich from the table and placed it onto a plate, completely oblivious to the many sets of eyes watching her and Ferris as if they were one of the strangest things they'd ever seen. She took a small bite from her food and looked up as a boy spoke, asking if Ferris was Professor Flitwick's assistant, to which the older boy responded sharing he was more commonly known as Ferris.
"Or Curlyhead," Vianna added quietly and casually, quickly returning to her food as if she hadn't said a word, though her lips were curved into a smile and a giggle fought to be heard, amusement clear on the girl's features.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris's hesitant, awkwardly polite expression broke as he heard a quiet 'or Curlyhead' from his side, and a grin spread onto his face as he turned to see Vianna trying to hold in a giggle. "Excuse me?" he asked playfully, amusement written on his pale features. "Did I just hear you call me the name that I've asked countless times to never be repeated?" he asked for clarification, though it was obvious that he was more amused than anything, his eyebrows raised just slightly.

Vianna turned to the boy at her side with large, innocent blue eyes, but her act failed miserably as her lips twitched just very slightly, dying to let out the most amused of laughs. "I don't know what you're talking about, Professor Montgomery," the girl replied innocently with mock politeness. "The old age must be catching up with you, I think you're hearing things," she decided, turning her head away from the boy for a brief second to hide the amused smile that came to her face before turning back to him again, the most serious expression she could manage now sitting on her features.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris listened as Vianna very innocently explained that she didn't know what he was talking about, calling him Professor Montgomery and accusing him of his old age getting to him and causing him to hear things. His jaw fell slightly and he narrowed his eyes playfully at the girl, brown eyes sparkling with amusement. "Why are you such a troublemaker?" he asked with a grin as his hand fell from her own beneath the table and instead he slipped his arm around her waist, pulling her towards him with a soft chuckle he'd been dying to let out for a while now. He'd pretty much forgotten the others sitting at the table with them at this point, his mind only on Vianna as he placed a kiss to her temple lovingly without thinking about it.

Vianna couldn't hold it in anymore, and she fell into a fit of amused giggles as Ferris asked why she was such a troublemaker, amusement sparkling in her blue eyes and her lightly tanned cheeks turning rather pink. She looked much like what she was - a silly little schoolgirl completely in love, and she was barely aware of how out-of-character she looked to her friends at the moment. They weren't used to a mushy Vianna who giggled and received kisses from a boyfriend, not at all! They were used to a more boy-ish kind of Vianna, one who got far too excited when there was talk of brooms and races, and who was always looking for a challenge. It was definitely a strange sight, and poor Margaret was having a very difficult time adjusting to this new version of her best friend. She knew she was supposed to be happy for her, they were friends after all, but still... it was too weird.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris grinned as his girlfriend let out a giggle, admiring her for a moment before he seemed to realize that they had eyes on them and he turned to look at the other people sharing the table around them, giving a weak smile. Oh yeah, it wasn't just the two of them alone on the planet. He could forget that pretty easily. He released Vianna's waist and took her hand once more, clearing his throat with a weak smile and a soft chuckle. "So...Margaret..." he said, realizing that he should probably start some type of conversation with his favourite person's best friend as he began to scoop eggs onto his plate. "Uh...Do you have any hobbies?" he asked, saying the first thing that came to mind. Oh, what a dumb question...He realized that moments later and mentally smacked himself.

Vianna returned her attention to her food as Ferris released her and took her hand instead, before the boy then spoke, addressing her best friend and asking her if she had any hobbies. Margaret merely watched the boy for a second before dully replying, "Yes." And by her tone, it was clear she wasn't planning to add on to that. That is, until her gray eyes fell upon Vianna whose forehead was creasing slightly and seemed to turn rather panicked, and the young redhead sighed. She figured if the boy was making an effort, she might as well return the favour. "I like to swim," she explained simply, pausing for a moment. "What about you? Besides getting your neck snogged off by Vianna, anyway..." she said casually, raising an eyebrow slightly.
Vianna's brows furrowed slightly. What? Wait-- what?! Her blue eyes widened - why did Margaret say that?! The girl turned to the boy at her side and her eyes widened even further. Oh jeez! How could she have been so blind not to have seen it?! The hickey was still there - barely noticeable now - but still there. She'd completely forgotten about it, and there was a bit of shame in her gaze as it fell to the sandwich in her hands.
Margaret merely turned from Ferris to Vianna and back with a rather blank look on her freckled face. "Oh c'mon, you can't possibly think no one would notice," she said, giving the pair a look.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris listened to Margaret's rather short and blunt affirmative response giving a brief nod as he turned to his eggs, obviously rather discouraged by the answer. But as she continued with a sigh, explaining very simply that she liked to swim, his brown eyes came back up to see her and he gave a polite smile and a nod. "Oh, that's..." But before he could say anything else, she'd shot a question back, asking what his hobbies were besides getting his neck snogged off by Vianna. His eyes widened, not having expected this at all, and turned to look at Vianna just as she looked to him, realizing just as she did that the hickey must've still been visible on his stark white skin. He cleared his throat awkwardly, listening as Margaret continued, mentioning that Fervi couldn't have thought that no one would notice.
His brows furrowed slightly, he so very much wanted to ask what he had ever done to her, but refrained, never having been one to say such things when just meeting people anyway. "That's...Th-That's not one of my hobbies," he quickly denied, deciding the best way to go about this was to just ignore how extraordinarily embarrassing that comment had just been, to ignore the soft pink filling his pale expression. "I read quite a lot," he explained softly with a nod, brown eyes only able to stay on the girl before him for a quick second before he couldn't bare looking her in the eye and his gaze fell to his plate.

Margaret rose her eyebrows slightly as the couple turned all flustered before Ferris spoke, explaining that that wasn't one of his hobbies and he liked to read a lot. "Sounds fun," the girl muttered dully, clearly not interested as she turned her attention over to her plate. Vianna seemed to shrink in her seat; this wasn't going well. This wasn't going well at all; since when was Margaret so cold and rude?! As a matter of fact, one of Vianna's favourite things about her best friend was her kindness, how nice she had been to her when they'd first met. But now... it was like she was a completely different person hidden beneath that familiar red hair and freckles. Vianna sighed softly to herself before straightening up, opting it was best to move on to a different subject; she wasn't going to let this ruin her first Hogsmeade trip as a seventh year. "So where do you guys wanna visit in Hogsmeade?" she asked.
"I don't know yet, but I need a new wand. I broke mine in yesterday's Care of Magical creatures lesson," said the short dark-haired boy sitting beside Margaret. Vianna seemed rather amused by the poor boy's bad news, though; the girl had known him long enough to know that he broke his wand at least five times each year.
"And you, Professor?" she asked, turning to the boy at her side, receiving a couple odd looks from those who didn't know 'Professor' was actually a nickname and not the girl being too polite.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris listened as Margaret seemed to end their conversation rather abruptly, turning away as Vianna shrank in the seat at his side. He ate his eggs silently, obviously not really thrilled to be hated by Margaret, his girlfriend's best friend; why would she hate him?! He wasn't threatening or rude, he didn't smell bad, he was fairly intelligent....
He was distracted from these thoughts as Vianna spoke, asking what everyone was looking forward to in Hogsmeade and he gave a weak smile at her attempt at conversation. As she asked him, he gave a shrug, "I dunno. I've only really been to Hogsmeade once, and I've only really ever been to the Three Broomsticks and the little bookshop they have there," he explained with a small smile, his brown eyes flashing to Margaret for a moment before going back to Vianna. He couldn't help but want Margaret to like him, though it obviously seemed to be a challenge, he didn't want Vianna's best friend to hate him.

Vianna's light eyebrows rose as Ferris told her he'd only been to Hogsmeade once before, and that he'd only visited The Three Broomsticks and a bookshop that one time he'd gone. "Well then, you need a tour!" said Vianna, slightly wide-eyed. "Don't worry, I know Hogsmeade like the palm of my hand!" the girl assured him with a proud grin before a blonde nearby commented on how Vianna actually got lost every time they went. The Italian girl's jaw dropped at this accusation, though there was amusement in her blue eyes. "Fine, so maybe that was a bit of an exaggeration..." she muttered absentmindedly. "What about you, Mag?" she asked, turning to her redheaded friend.
Margaret merely shrugged her shoulders. "I guess I'll go look at some brooms and get some butterbeer," she replied simply, boredom on her features as this was clearly a subject that didn't really excite her.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Twenty minutes or so please! No--I DEMAND IT! Demander of Minutes strikes again! Ferris gave a small smile as Vianna assured him that she knew Hogsmeade like the palm of her hand, and that she'd give him a tour, however his smile was a little lifeless as his mind was still on Margaret and what he'd done wrong. He could only give a faint chuckle as a blonde girl at Vianna's side added in her comment of Vianna getting lost every time they visited the small village, listening as his girlfriend asked Margaret what she was looking forward to. His brown eyes went to the redhead across from him, watching as she gave a vague, hardly enthusiastic response. His brows furrowed; if he'd done something wrong, he wanted to know. He didn't like this strained relationship that he could easily see between Vianna and her best friend who was treating Vianna like some sort of stranger. "Did I...do something?" he asked suddenly, softly, his brown eyes still fixed curiously on the redhead.

ooc: NO!! NEVERRR!! -Ties Demander of Minutes to tree so she can't get away-
Vianna gave her friend a small, weak smile. "We haven't been 'broom-admiring' in a while!" she said, her tones still cheery as she tried to lighten the mood, in a way inviting herself to join the redheaded girl in these activities.
But it seemed her friend didn't want her around this time. "Yeah, and I doubt we will again any time soon," Margaret replied dully, her gaze fixed on her plate as she spread some butter on a toast. She looked up from her plate, though, as Ferris spoke, asking if he'd done anything wrong. The girl was quiet for a moment, examining his expression before replying, "Nothing that could be avoided," she replied simply before returning her attention to her plate.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Nooooo! *pulls out laser gun and zips through the ropes* Muahahahaha! *runs away with minutes* Ferris's brows furrowed further as Margaret simply replied that he hadn't done anything that could be avoided, an answer he wasn't really prepared for and wasn't exactly sure what she meant by that. "D-Do you mind me asking what you mean?" he asked, still very polite, though he honestly wanted to get to the bottom of this. He didn't want her hating him and he sure didn't want Vianna to lose her best friend just because of something he'd done....Or done that couldn't be avoided....What?! He was rather confused, watching the redhead with honest brown eyes that showed nothing but honest curiosity and slight concern.

ooc: Heey wait a second that wasn't twenty minutes! IWINIWINIWIN!!
Margaret listened as Ferris asked her if she minded him asking what she meant, and the girl's brows furrowed just very slightly before she let out a sigh. Why was he so nice?! It was making it rather difficult for her to dislike him as much as she wanted to; he'd taken away her best friend, she couldn't just welcome that with open arms! (Or so was her way of thinking). "Nothing. I didn't mean anything, just forget about it," she replied. Not necessarily rudely, but more like... defeated. "Just..." she trailed off, quiet for a moment as her gray-eyed gaze fell to her toast and her hands began to tear it into small pieces absentmindedly. "You guys are going off on your own today, aren't you? In Hogsmeade, I mean."

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Nooo! I underestimated, alright!!!!! I still demanded them, so IWINIWINIWIN!!!! Ferris's brows furrowed a little more as Margaret told him that it was nothing, asking that they forget about it. He thought on this for a moment, about to possibly give up this search for answers, when she continued softly, asking if they were going to go of on their own today in Hogsmeade. Well, yes, that was the plan. But...Something told the boy out of instinct that Margaret didn't want to hear that; that she wanted to hear something else. "Well...We were just going to go, and see who we ran into; no definite plans...Why?" the boy replied, leaving the response vague as he hoped to get a better understanding of Margaret's wishes with her next response. He gave a quick glance to Vianna, flashing her a weak smile, before returning to the redhead.

ooc: PSSSHHH!! No use trying to deny it now, Smooth Criminal, I took like ten of your twenty minutes away, just admit it.
Vianna's eyebrows rose just very slightly as Margaret's tones turned softer and she asked if she and Ferris had plans to go wander off on their own in Hogsmeade. The same thoughts that crossed Ferris's mind crossed the girl's as well - that was the plan, but she didn't have the heart to tell her friend that. And she was relieved when Ferris told the redheaded girl that they had no definite plans, returning the small smile he flashed in her direction. She felt kind of bad now, having to change the plans she'd originally made with her boyfriend, but she knew he'd understand, it wasn't like Ferris to take this personally and get upset. Besides, it's not like they weren't going to be together; they would be, just not by themselves. "I was hoping to go look at some brooms too, actually," said Vianna before adding, "If you'd let me accompany you... And Ferris likes brooms too, y'know," she said, nudging Ferris gently with her elbow to let the boy know this was his cue to agree.
Margaret looked up from her plate as the couple spoke, and there was just the very slightest ghost of a smile on her lips before she nodded her head. "We can go see brooms," she said.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: NEVER! *runs away dancing to the boombox I just pulled out* You've been hit by-- You've been hit by--- A smooth criminal....Dun dun dunununun dundununun Dun Dun DunDun Dun.... Ferris listened as Vianna added that she'd been hoping to look at some brooms, suggesting that she could accompany Margaret before mentioning that her boyfriend liked brooms too. The boy suddenly felt a nudge on his elbow and quickly got the idea that it was his time to agree. "Y-Yes, I...I do like brooms," he agreed with a small nod and a polite smile, watching as the redhead across form them looked up with a ghost of a smile on her lips, nodding as she agreed that they could go see brooms.
It was then, at the sight of a slightly friendly expression on Margaret's face, that a smile came upon his own expression. And it was a smile that could only be possessed by Ferris - warm, broad, slightly lopsided, and framed on either side by a small dimple on each of his pale cheeks. "Great, we'll go see brooms then," he agreed with a nod, obviously happy that Vianna's best friend didn't loathe him, though he was beginning to realize that getting on Margaret's good side permanently might not be the easiest thing on the planet.
OOC: I'm off for now Dee Derupersss! :bye

ooc: Rotfl!! Did you steal that boombox too?! -Takes boombox and runs away while moonwalking every 15 steps 'cause I'm smoother than the criminal like that-
Vianna grinned as both Margaret and Ferris decided they'd go see brooms while in Hogsmeade, her crystal blue eyes beyond ecstatic at the moment. "Wonderful!" she cheered, her hands coming together as she beamed. "And then maybe we can go get some butterbeer, and sneak into the Shrieking Shack, and get some candy, and--"
"Don't push it, Vi," Margaret interrupted, though she seemed amused.
"Right, sorry," said Vianna with a nod, a smile still on her face.
ooc: See you, Rutherss!!

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor OOC: Not the boombox!!!! Noooooo! Ferris let out a soft chuckle as Vianna started to list off the many things they could do at Hogsmeade after checking out the brooms before Margaret cut her off, telling her not to push it. He grinned, turning to look at his girlfriend with admiration in his dark brown eyes. And though he didn't want to say it in fear of freaking Margaret or anyone else out at the moment, it was obvious by the way his brown eyes sparkled that he found his girlfriend to be just about the cutest thing that had ever walked the planet. He was dying to just kiss her cheek and make her giggle, but stopped himself, simply squeezing her hand beneath the table instead.

ooc:
Vianna turned to the boy at her side with the brightest of smiles on her lightly tanned face as she felt his grip tighten slightly around her hand beneath the table. She was definitely in a much better mood now that Margaret wasn't attacking Ferris; and in a way, the animosity between the two kind of reminded her of Ferris's relationship with her brothers when they had first started dating (her and Ferris, not him and her brothers lmao); it was definitely no fun for the girl who found herself in the middle of it all. But things were better now, and the girl was definitely relieved there was no more arguing or harshness going on. That is, until a paper note made its way through the air and landed neatly beside the girl's plate, and just as that arrived, a couple giggling girls passing by flashed Ferris the brightest of smiles as they passed. Alright, maybe things weren't perfect yet, but they were getting there.
"Looks like you two are quite in demand lately," muttered Margaret, her eyebrows raising slightly as she watched all of this.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris looked up as giggling filled the air only to see a couple girls passing by the table, giggling and smiling like crazy people. Confused, the poor clueless boy turned around to make sure that they weren't staring at someone behind him before realizing that these girls had been staring him directly in the eye and giving him those crazy-person smiles. His eyes widened and he wasn't sure how to feel about this exactly, besides completely freaked out. Before he could give this much thought, however, a paper note fell onto Vianna's plate from who knows where. That wasn't a note from one of the guys interested in her...was it?
"What's that?" he asked, clearing his throat as he gestured for her to open it. He gave Margaret a weak smile as the redhead pointed out the couple being in demand lately.

Vianna looked bored. "A note," she replied dully as Ferris asked her what it was that had just landed beside her. She sighed - what was she supposed to do with this now? She had a vague idea who it must have been from - a boy, surely - and she didn't want to open it. However, she didn't want to be mean and set it on fire right in front of whoever might've sent it. Maybe her brothers being around hadn't been such a bad idea after all. And as if on cue, an owl passed by right at that moment, dropping a letter right before the young Gryffindor girl. Eagerly, Vianna took it into her hands and grinned. "It's from Victor! He promised he'd write me every week, keep me updated on things at home," announced the girl. It probably wasn't too obvious during the time they had all been together, but Vianna was a lot closer to her brothers than she liked to admit, and starting a school year without them had rather upset the girl a bit. But the boys missed their little sister's presence too, so Vince often kept in touch through the mirror and Victor through letters; as well as Mr. and Mrs. Vincenzi, of course.

| Blonde&Proud Sirius Sense of humor Ferris nodded as Vianna very boredly informed him that it was a note, figuring she must've been reluctant to open it when she obviously wasn't interested. He squeezed her hand once more before an owl suddenly dropped a letter onto Vianna's plate, a letter which the girl immediately recognized to be from her oldest brother. "Oh, good," the boy said with a small smile, actually rather pleased to hear from one of the Vincenzi brothers. It was rather strange, but he too found himself (and he would never admit this aloud) kind of missing their presence. When they weren't bugging Fervi, or staring him down, the pair were actually rather amusing. But as Vianna eagerly opened the letter, the boy slipped the note off her plate and opened it to read the following: Vianna:
I just think you're the prettiest girl at Hogwarts. I know that we don't talk much, but I really like you. And now that your brothers have graduated....I figure you'd maybe like to go out with me?
Signed, some teenage boy name. (ooc: XD)
Ferris's eyebrows rose and he slipped his hand out from Vianna's beneath the table in order to take out his wand and transfigure the glass before him into a quill. He then began to scratch the following into the letter, at the bottom of the parchment: SomeTeenageBoyName-
Yes, I agree that my girlfriend is gorgeous, and I respect the fact that you had the guts to send her a note when you've never 'talked much before'. However, could you possibly understand my wishes when I ask that you stop trying to pursue my girlfriend Vianna? You see, she's very very important to me, and though I may appear civil now, I'd get very upset if I found out that you were still trying to take her out after this little coversation.
Signed,
Ferris Montgomery

ooc:
Vianna, completely distracted by the rather long letter her oldest brother had sent, didn't notice when the boy at her side took the note she'd received earlier. Margaret, however, was all eyes. She watched with mild amusement as the older boy transfigured the nearest goblet into a quill and began to write on the note her best friend had just received a couple moments ago. Her eyebrows rose just very slightly at this, and it seemed a few other curious Gryffindors sitting around the group were watching this too, though they were all quick to turn away as Margaret glanced in their direction. "Don't be nosy!" she said, as if she was one to speak.
Vianna finished reading her brother's letter a couple minutes later, the brightest of smiles adorning her young face. She couldn't help but be absolutely thrilled with it; something about seeing her brother's familiar neat handwriting made her feel closer to home, like Sicily wasn't really that far away and her family was just a couple miles away. She neatly folded the letter and returned it to its envelope, figuring she'd write a reply later after the Hogsmeade trip; she wouldn't be able to concentrate here in the middle of the noisy Hall, and she couldn't just go and ignore those around her to do so either. However, she was a little distracted as she caught sight of the boy beside her writing on a paper. Not just any paper... "Is that...?" she asked.
