Once again this is a continued role-play created by hazydazy012, kept ever so strong and alive by it's loyal RPers. As the title says, this is version (4) four, the first three threads have reached their post limits. From the original thread:

Woo-hoo! An early summer all for yourself, right? Wrong.

One year at Hogwarts a mysterious spell was cast that not even the professors can undo. You wouldn't be able to see a difference at Hogwarts, just looking at the school, but it actually made magic impossible! Not a single person or creature could cast a spell while in the school. How are the students supposed to learn when they can't try out the new spells? Sure, most were devestated, (Especially the 7th years! How are they supposed to finish their last year?!) but of course, some were estatic too! Who doesn't want to have a longer summer vacation? So, most students go home in high spirits TWO months before Hogwarts was officially supposed to be let out for summer break. Only one week into their luxuriously long holiday, every student recieves this letter:

"It is mandatory for any students who want to complete their year to attend "La Bacchetta Magica", a summer learning camp for wizards located in a small getaway near Tuscany. You will be finishing up the studies that were unfinished at Hogwarts. Please bring your wand and other necessary items for regular classes."

Fantastic. Some are angry, but most are excited! I mean, it's called "The Magic Wand" in Italian, for goodness sakes. It's gotta be fun. And guess what?! It is! Everyone is having a great time with the mix of school and just plain summer camp fun! How will the Divinations in the morning and campfires at night affect the students? You decide!

Please join! There will need to be a few professors/camp counselors! Even number of boys and girls, please. Post a bio with a picture, thanks!

(P.S. I looked up "La Bacchetta Magica" and it told me "The Magic Wand" but it was only an online translator. If I'm wrong, then whoops! Heehee)

Vianna, too, rested back into the pillows and let out a sigh as her gaze fell to the bag of marshmallows in her hands once again. She was just very slightly distracted by it when Ferris spoke, asking her to tell him something. The young girl then turned her gaze to him with a faint smile. "Ah, but this is a competition, Professor! I shouldn't be helping you!" she pointed out. "If anything, I should be tempting you to kiss me. But I'm kind and decided to play fair this time," she said. Though that was a lie. The real reason she wasn't trying to tempt the boy was because in doing so, she would just be tempting herself as well and therefore ran the risk of losing too. And there was no way she was going to lose. She was Vianna Vincenzi, she would never lose at anything!

Ferris listened as Vianna reminded him that this was a competition and she therefore shouldn't be helping him; a valid point. But he was distracted from her logic as she went on, informing him that she should've actually been tempting him to kiss her, going on to explain that she was going to be fair this time, however, and wouldn't do that to him. His eyebrows rose completely at this, obviously surprised at her sudden fairness. "You never play fair," he pointed out teasingly, an amused smile on his pale expression as he rolled on his side so he could better see her.

Vianna turned to Ferris with raised eyebrows and a look of mock offense on her features as he pointed out that she never played fair. "Well, now! I know I cheat a little sometimes, but I don't always cheat!" she gasped, completely taken aback by the boy's accusation though she couldn't help being incredibly amused as she knew very well it was completely true. "Maybe I've changed my ways. Maybe I want to always play fair now, is that so bad?" she added a little more innocently, giving the boy at her side a smile.

Ferris let out a chuckle as Vianna defended herself, mentioning that she didn't always cheet (to which he said, "Yes you do."), before going on to ask if it was so bad if she decided to always play fair now. "You; always play fair?" he repeated, his eyebrows still raised as an amused smile came across his face. "I have no faith in that quest. The good news, is that you're very cute," he said simply, letting out a soft chuckle as he leaned forward to peck her lips. He stopped about an inch away from her rosy lips, remembering their bet. With marshmallow prizes. The boy quickly pulled back, barely aware that he'd even been leaning forward to kiss her; it all just felt so natural, like a motion he didn't have to think about. This would be harder than he thought.

"Hey, I'm really not that bad!" said Vianna in her defense as Ferris repeated her announcement to always play fair from now on, though she couldn't help the long string of chuckles that escaped her lips at that moment. It was just too amusing the boy knew her so well and obviously didn't believe her fake promises. However, as he began to lean forward, Vianna was quick to turn quiet. There was all the excitement in the world sparkling in her blue eyes as he came closer - this was a lot easier than she had thought it would be! Her blue eyes had closed, ready for a kiss, when Ferris then pulled away. Brows furrowing with mild confusion, Vianna's eyes fluttered open again, only to find him suddenly far away from her lips. Drats! She was so close to winning just then! Perhaps it wouldn't be as easy as she had assumed it to be. With a defeated sigh, Vianna turned away to the marshmallows in her hands for a moment before setting them aside on the bedside table. "You're not supposed to be so good at this game, Professor," she said a bit accusingly, as if this was something horrible he was doing to her.

Ferris listened as Vianna informed him that he wasn't supposed to be good at this new game of theirs, and he gave a sigh, "Yeah, well..." He wasn't about to admit that he didn't think he was good at this game at all. It'd been less than five minutes and he already nearly forgotten about the bet! How was he supposed to last for a half hour!? He didn't like this game very much....He much preferred the other kind of kissing competitions they had; the ones where you only lost if you stopped kissing.

Vianna turned her gaze to the boy at her side and smiled faintly. Why did she suggest this game in the first place?! Oh right, because she was expecting Ferris to not even notice it and lose only after a second after she had proposed it. But now that her evil plan failed completely, she was stuck left with no kisses for the next twenty-five minutes. "Well, it's... it's not so hard, anyway. All we have to do is not kiss for half an hour, anyone can do that," she said, waving it off as ridiculously easy, when to her it was actually ridiculously difficult.

"Y-Yeah, a half hour," he said with a shrug and a soft chuckle, clearing his throat a moment later as he sat up slightly. "I can do that," Ferris reassured himself, giving a nod and a weak smile. "I don't know if you can, but I most definitely can," he added with a hint of amusement in his brown eyes. But his expression didn't really scream confidence. Actually, it kind of screamed 'Why in the world did I agree to this!?'.

Vianna's jaw dropped as Ferris assured her that he could definitely not kiss her for half an hour, though he wasn't sure if she could. "Of course I can!" she said, brows furrowing slightly in determination. Oh, there was no way she was going to lose now! It was on! It wasn't just about winning anymore now, but about proving the boy wrong. Vi had always been proud like that; tell her she can't do something and that's the first thing she'll do. "You'll see. Actually, I could even go longer than half an hour, if necessary" - no I couldn't! - "An hour, two hours, you name it. I can do it!" She sat up and crossed her arms stubbornly, her gaze now on the fire burning on the other side of the room.

Ferris's eyebrows rose with a hint of mischief in his brown eyes as Vianna immediately told him that she could most definitely stand a half hour. "Oh, really?" he replied, his gaze a little disbelieving. From the past month he'd become very accustomed to Vianna's stubborn, over-confident nature, and so this statement didn't really surprise him and he didn't believe it. But as she continued, informing him that she'd be able to go on for an hour or more, crossing her arms as she turned her blue eyes away from him, he wasn't so sure. She was willing to bet for an hour, even two?! Now, he knew that kissing was something one could do without if necessary, but when it came to himself and Vianna...well, they both seemed to have trouble keeping their lips to themselves. But he couldn't just not put her up to it now, not after she'd said that! "F-Fine, we'll wait an hour," he decided without thinking, giving a nod as he turned his brown eyes to the fire where they widened. Why did he just say that!?

Vianna's jaw dropped to the floor as Ferris decided they would go a whole hour without kissing rather than just half an hour as had been the original plan. Eh!? Widened, her blue eyes turned to him as he looked away to the fire, looking completely horrified by this. That wasn't what she wanted! It wasn't it at all! Now her brows furrowed with annoyance - why did she have to go and open her mouth and say things she knew she wasn't capable of doing? But of course, ever the stubborn little girl, she didn't just admit to it but instead agreed to the whole deal. "Fine, an hour it is, then!" She returned her gaze to the fire now, her expression a mix of annoyance and horror. She'd really have to learn to keep her mouth shut from now on.

Ferris didn't seem comforted as Vianna simply agreed, having been staring at the fire and therefore not seeing her dropped jaw. An hour!? Why would he ever say that? An hour without kissing Vianna....Oh no... He snuck a look at her, only to see an expression of slight horror and annoyance. So he wasn't the only one feeling this way! He could tell by her expression that she wasn't exactly happy about this new decision, but he couldn't give in first. Not now, now that he'd just upped the ante. He couldn't!....Had her lips always looked that soft? He found his mind wandering to questions like this as he watched her for a moment, his brown eyes almost longingly watching her. Was it just him or did her lips seem so much more appealing now that there was a bet against going anywhere near them?

Vianna's gaze fell from the fire to her hands as she unfolded her arms and let her fidgety hands rest on her lap, completely oblivious to Ferris's staring. This was ridiculous, what was she supposed to do now that she couldn't kiss the boy at her side? She couldn't even look at him too long, that might tempt her to kiss him; and she couldn't involve in conversation with him either - he might say something charming, as always, and she'd be unable to hold the urge to kiss him and lose the bet. Any way she looked at it, she had a pretty high chance of losing. And Vianna didn't take well to losing. After a few moments of just staring at her hands absentmindedly, she turned to Ferris, only to find the boy watching her. Startled, she felt herself grow rather flustered by this - how long had he been watching her?! "Ah! Wh--what?" she asked, her gaze returning to the fire sheepishly.

Ferris jumped just slightly as Vianna very suddenly let out an 'ah!', asking just why he was staring at her. He hadn't expected this reaction from her, hardly aware that he'd been staring and he found himself asking the same question that was running through her mind; exactly how long had he been staring? "U-Uh, sorry," the boy quickly said, clearing his throat. The exact reasons that were running through Vianna's mind were running through Ferris's; if he found her to be cute, he'd want to kiss her, and if he kept up this staring thing his lips would really want to be on hers. It was then that he caught sight of the watch on Vianna's arm and his eyes widened, "It's only been eight minutes," the boy announced. Eight minutes!? It felt excruciatingly long....how could only eight minutes have passed?!

"It's okay," muttered Vianna, turning away from the fire for a moment and giving Ferris a faint smile as he apologized. She was quick to look away again, though, reluctant to fall victim of his adorable nature and good looks. Instead, the girl focused on the fire before them, feeling a bit awkward at the moment. It wasn't like them to just sit in bed staring at the fire and avoiding each other, but it had to be done. She just simply couldn't lose. As Ferris then announced that only eight minutes had passed, Vianna's eyebrows rose slightly. What?! Why?! She was sure it must've been at least fifteen minutes already! "Ah, well... that's just two minutes away from ten! And then after ten minutes, we only have to wait fifty more rather than sixty," she said, failing miserably at sounding optimistic at the moment.

Despite Vianna's attempts at making eight minutes sound better, she only seemed to make it worse, reminding the boy that they had another fifty-two minutes to go before his lips could touch her own. He remained silent in fear that he'd get into a conversation with the girl at his side and once more be sucked into her cuteness. Darn Vianna and her cuteness. He was gently fidgeting with his hands, his brown eyes focused on the fire before him. But with the silence, the physical attraction seemed to heighten. Ferris wasn't sure why, but while it was so quiet and it was obvious that they both were thinking about the other, every small movement seemed electric. The small space between them seemed to get smaller and smaller as he found himself noticing her scent, and how close her own hand was to his own (just a few inches). He found himself thinking about how much he wanted to kiss her and that was something he couldn't think about if he wanted to win.

Vianna was completely silent as she continued gazing at the fire, trying desperately to distract herself with thoughts of something not-Ferris-related. But this proved to be much more difficult than she had expected; everything that came to mind reminded her of him. If she tried to think about camp, she'd obviously only remember the times she spent with him there. If she tried to think of flying, she'd only remember her many attempts to get him on a broom weeks ago. If she tried to think about her home, she'd only remember the many times they spent the late afternoons and nights at the beach or out in the grass fields. Now growing frustrated, Vianna's brows began to furrow. Was there anything in her head that didn't relate to the boy beside her?! Apparently not. She lowered her gaze to the watch on her wrist - oh great, the watch he had given her! Annoyed, Vianna turned her gaze to the open bags of marshmallows instead. Now she remembered how they'd started their tradition of marshmallow-roasting back at camp. Oh really, now! This is ridiculous! She crossed her arms and glared away at the fire, trying to think of something random and boring like arithmancy problems.

Three minutes went by. Then five. Then fifteen, until a whole twenty-three minutes had passed between the two with little to no interaction. Ferris was feeling the tension, and all that was on his mind now was Vianna. Why couldn't he just get her out of his thoughts!? And what was worse that she was just a foot away, sitting there, looking so...kissable. Pride...or kisses...Pride...or kisses... that was the real debate happening in his mind.

Arithmancy had done the trick for a good five minutes that felt more like twenty. Vianna had managed to busy herself giving herself boring and complicated problems, and she couldn't help feeling rather ridiculous for it. She never in her life imagined she'd find herself in a situation where she would actually want to think about something as boring as arithmancy; but right now, in this situation, it was better than thinking about Ferris. If she thought about him even for a minute, she knew she'd give in to the urge she felt to kiss him at the moment. But when arithmancy was no longer enough to keep her distracted, Vianna turned her gaze away from the fire and unfolded her arms, checking the time. She sighed. Half an hour. Now all they had to do was wait another long, torturous, never-ending half an hour. Vianna's forehead creased slightly at this thought; just thinking about waiting all that time made her want to give up and just snog the boy at her side already. But there was still that voice in the back of her mind reminding her that if she did that, she would be the loser of this competition. Hoping to make the time go by faster, Vianna decided to take a risk and talk, "So, um... what time will we be waking up at tomorrow? Y'know, to start heading back home."

Ferris's full focus was on Vianna now, having failed at distracting himself, and he couldn't stop thinking about the girl at his side. Half an hour? Honestly? How could he possibly do that!? He was just staring at the fire worriedly, obviously at his breaking point, when Vianna spoke, asking when they'd be waking up tomorrow to start going home. And that was where he just snapped, turning to look at her for a half moment before his lips were on her own and he was kissing her lovingly. He couldn't help it! Thirty minutes was enough, more than he could stand of not speaking with the girl, and worst of all, not being able to kiss her.

Vianna turned her gaze to Ferris as he seemed to remain silent even after she had asked him a question, puzzling the girl a bit. She blinked as he merely stared at her before unexpectedly placing his lips on her own. Vianna was completely caught off-guard by this, but at the same time she couldn't help feeling glad and relieved that he was kissing her again. Normally, the girl would have pulled away after a couple seconds to rub her victory on his face, to announce how he'd lost and she'd won, but that's not where her head was at at the moment. No, her mind was only on him now, on how great it felt to have his lips on her own again; and she didn't delay in returning the gesture, kissing the boy at her side with a sort of hunger showing through, clearly having craved this moment for a while now.

For the past half an hour all Ferris had been thinking about was her lips and how much he'd taken for granted the privelage of being able to kiss her whenever he wished. And now that he'd thrown away the bet and his pride, his lips on her own, he showed little hesitation as he gently deepened the kiss. He'd missed her; he missed feeling her so close to himself, his lanky arms around her slender waist as he pulled her closer. But most of all he missed the feel of her lips on his own, returning each sweet kiss he gave her.

Vianna couldn't even begin to understand why she had suggested this bet in the first place, it seemed ridiculous now that she was finally kissing the boy at her side again. How could she have suggested such a horrible thing?! She made a mental note to never ever suggest a competition like this again, her lips glued to his as she continued the kiss with no intentions of letting go any time soon. One of her hands met his shirt, tugging at it gently, trying to bring the boy closer to herself even though they were only a few inches apart now. But she was greedy now, and even an inch felt like a whole mile between them; she wanted to make up for all the time they had so pointlessly wasted this past half hour.

Ferris's mind was gone, completely numbed out as thoughts escaped him, his only concentration on the girl before him who was returning each kiss just as lovingly as he gave them to her. It was then that he felt her tug on his shirt, a gesture he understood immediately, and pulled her even closer to himself. Why had he ever agreed to such a dumb competition? Where was the good side? There were no kisses! And as he was quickly realizing, everything with a good side had to do with kisses from Vianna. He too felt very little self-restraint; it all came down to greed now between the two of them, each wanting more of the other.

Vianna's lips curved slightly into a smile as Ferris pulled her closer to himself, glad that the boy had understood her silent gesture. But even if she had him next to her now, it still wasn't enough; nothing would ever be enough, and nothing was going to make up for all that wasted time. The girl couldn't help feeling incredibly silly now, both rather annoyed with herself and for having suggested this dumb bet, and disappointed that she had let all that time pass without kissing the boy at her side. Her hand left his shirt and moved on to that curly brown hair she had come to love so much this past month; this, too, felt like it hadn't been done in years. How could she have stayed away from his curls for so long? It wasn't fair. Eager to make up for the lost time, Vianna continued kissing the boy at her side completely forgetting and ignoring the fact that she'd have to breathe eventually.
