In a continuation of Lupin Cottage Maxwell and Taylor return for Christmas break at Hogwarts and Jack's long lost mother comes looking for him only to find she's not quite welcome.

Jack looked back at her. "She's with my brother...do you want to see her? I can go get her.." He said with a heartbroken look in his eyes. He looked to Henry. "Look after her for a moment?" He asked getting ready to get Alice if Elizabeth wanted her there..

Eliza had a look in her eyes that showed fear of what would happen. "Please, my love..." She saw the heartbreak in her eyes, "I'm trying, my love..." Tears started to pour as she looked away.

Jack kissed his wife as gently as possible. "I'll be right back.." With that he apperated off, going to Leon's to get Alice and heading straight back. Leon was worried but didn't accompany Jack, the two had never been close and Leon figured too many people wasn't a good idea. Jack appeared moments later with his daughter in hand. "Here she is.." He said kneeling next to Elizabeth and holding their little girl.

Eliza gave a small smile. She leaned and kissed her cheek, "Alice... I love you, sweetheart." She stroked her daughter's cheek then glanced at Jack. Elizabeth kissed Jack next and looked into his eyes. "I love you, dear..." Her face was pale and she fell back onto the couch. Her eyes were closing as she yawned, "Jack... cant I just pretty please sleep for a few moments..."

Jack didn't like how she was showing signs of giving up, needing to see everyone...as if saying goodbye. No, he didn't want her to quit, She had never quit on him...not in any way...why now? He kissed her back "I love you too." His eyes met her and Alice giggled a little at her mommy..she had just started speaking, but was still young enough to not really understand what was happening. "No...Elizabeth, I need you.."

Alice smiled. "I love you too, Mommy.." She wiggled free of Jack's grasp. "Can i go play?" Her speech being surprisingly clear for such a small girl. Her father nodded and Alice went up to her playroom, walking slow..she was still rather new to the whole thing.

Elizabeth gave Alice a small smile and chuckled. Then she looked at Jack, "Jack... I... I cant... I aint strong enough." Eliza whimpered, "I aint as strong as you..." She grimaced and tears flowed from her eyes.

Benjy frantically rushed around grabbing everything he thought he would need before grabbing hold of Jen's hand and apparating to right outside the house. After only pausing for a moment to catch his breath, the redhead knocked on the door and came in, making sure that Jen was right behind. Once he saw Eliza lying on the couch and Jack, Henry, and Lucas all right there, he stopped, unable to say anything. Looking from face to face he tried to figure out what to do next. But all he could do was stand there, his shoulder bag bursting with stuff he figured he might need at some point.

After hearing the message of the patronus sent to Benjy, Jennifer was glad that she always had her medical stuff with her. So she was ready when Benjy grabbed her hand and brought her to wherever the heck they were. After quietly entering the house after the redhead, Jen stood off to the side, taking in the situation before noticing that Benjy was totally shell shocked. Stepping up, she did what she knew best. "Hi there. I'm Jennifer, but you can call me Jen. I'm a friend of Benjy's. What's your name, hun?" She asked the lady lying on the couch, her Australian accent coming through.

Elizabeth glanced from Jack to the two new people. She glanced at the Australian lady. Eliza was annoyed at the gal already. Elizabeth tried not to snap at the lady but she hated being called 'hun'. "The name is Elizabeth." She tried to sit up and gave Benjy a weak smile, "Hey, tall one..." Elizabeth's face was pale and she was grimacing from the pain.
Lucas looked at his mother than tried to push the weird lady away, "My momma doesnt need you." He pouted, not like strangers. "She just needs sleep... sleep makes everything better... right, Uncle Benjy?" He glanced up with worry in his young innocent eyes.

After hearing Jen speak behind him, Benjy realized that he needed to say something. "Uh... Thanks, Jack... for alerting me." The redhead ran a hand across his scruffy chin. He gave a small nod to Jen and then turned back to look at Eliza. When she tried to sit up, Benjy winced and kinda put his hands up to tell her to stop sitting up. "Eliza, please lie back down..." He tried to think of more to say, but nothing came to mind until he noticed Lucas getting upset. Stepping over to the little guy, the redhead picked him up and looked him in the eye. "I don't know, Lucas..." He said, before pointing at Jen. "That's my friend Jen... she's just here to help, okay?" He gave a quick glance to Jack before reaching down into his shoulder bag and pulling out the plane that Lucas had been playing with the last time he was at Benjy's loft and handing it to the little boy.

Jen glanced at Benjy before looking back over at the lady on the couch. "Well then, Elizabeth, I hear you've been in some kind of accident? Can you tell me what exactly happened?" She asked, visually looking over Elizabeth to see if anything in particular looked out of place.

Lucas looked at the plane and threw it. He stayed in Benjy's arms, wanting to be held. "I want my mommy." He cried then tried to wiggle out of his arms.
Elizabeth grumbled at what he said but laid down. She glanced at Jen, "I was saving my little boy from getting hit by a car... and didnt quite make it..." Eliza moaned and closed her eyes but when she heard Lucas crying, she reopened them. Elizabeth tried to stand up, to get Lucas... hating when one of her kids needs her but she cant get to them.

Okay... so Lucas didn't want the plane right now. Benjy could tell that Lucas was upset so he slipped his shoulder bag off and just held the big guy...until he started to cry out for his mom. "Lucas.. it's okay... see, let's go over to mommy, okay?" He said, trying to calm the little guy down. "Eliza... please just stay on the couch... I'll bring him to you." He said, trying to handle the situation, somehow. After resettling Lucas on his hip, he carried the little guy over to his mom and knelt down near her head, allowing Lucas to see his mommy while still being held.

After hearing what had happened, Jen knew that the situation was serious. "Okay..." Jen nodded to let Elizabeth know that she understood what had happened. "Just try to lay still, alright..." She advised, noticing the moan as she pulled out a pair of gloves. "Elizabeth, I'm a certified healer and I have a doctorate in muggle medicine. Is it alright if I help you feel better so that you can get back to your kids?" She asked, gently.

Lucas nodded and became still as he was placed on Benjy's hip. He stayed by Benjy when they were at his mother's head. He kissed her nose, "Love you, Mommy."
Elizabeth sighed and resettled on the couch. She gave her son a kiss on the forehead when Benjy brought him near. Eliza sighed and mumbled, "I knew there was something about you that I didnt like..." Elizabeth shifted gently but nodded, "Yeah... I need to take care of my kids... soon..." She closed her eyes, trying to keep from passing out.

Benjy was glad when Lucas calmed down and sat still. The redhead gave the little guy a gentle squeeze. With his unoccupied hand, Benjy reached over and gave Eliza's shoulder a very gentle pat before rubbing it ever so gently.

Jen couldn't help but give a little chuckle after hearing the part about not liking her. But she gave her a gentle smile and patted her hand. "Well, I'll get you back to your kids as soon as I can, okay?" After letting go of Elizabeth's hand, Jen grabbed her moleskin pouch, opened it, and pulled out her medical kit and her stethoscope. After slinging the stethoscope around her neck, Jen patted Eliza's arm softly. "I need you to try and keep your eyes open for me, alright? I'm just going to check your pulse for a sec."

Lucas leaned against Benjy, watching Jen protectively. "You aint gonna hurt Mommy, are you?" He gave Jen a warning look.
Elizabeth glanced at Benjy, "Benjy... a child shouldnt see their mother like this... it is upsettig him... please entertain him somewhere... please, brother." She glanced at Jen, "Okay... I will try..." Eliza yawned and grimaced.

Benjy gave Jen a bit of a look to say 'make sure she's alright' before standing up. "Jen is gonna make mommy feel better." He said softly to Lucas before bending down and picking up his shoulder bag. Before heading off to the side, he gave Eliza a small smile. "Be good. I'll make sure he's happy." He said to her before nodding to Jack as if to say 'watch over your wife' before he carried Lucas into another room and letting the little boy pick from all the different things in his shoulder bag as to what to play with.

Jen caught Benjy's look before turning back to Elizabeth. "You're doing great." She said, giving her a little encouragement. After checking the rest of her vital signs, Jen pulled out a small oxygen mask. "I'm just gonna put this mask over your mouth and nose. It's going to give you some oxygen to help out your breathing." She said, before putting it on Eliza and hooking it up to the bottled O2 container that she had just taken out of her bag. "Now there's just gonna be a little pinch on the back of your hand so I can put an iv in to give you some fluids." Jen said, looking Eliza in the eyes.

Lucas frowned and headed for the door as fast as he could. He wanted his mommy.
Elizabeth took off the mask, "I dont need this stupid thing to breathe." Eliza was starting to let her annoyance show. "I dont need an iv either." Her stubborness was showing up again.

Luckily, Benjy hadn't sat down yet when Lucas started to head towards the door, so he scooped the little guy up. "Where did you want to go, Lucas?" He asked, perching the little guy on his hip again.

Jen looked at Eliza with a face that expressed seriousness. "Elizabeth, I need you to leave the mask on and let me put an iv in if you want me to help you get back to your kids any faster." Especially with a dangerous situation like this where there were still things that Jen needed to check. "Are you going to let me help you now?"

"I want my mommy!" He was getting louder and louder. "I want my mommy." Lucas cried and started to throw a tantrum.
Elizabeth snarled, "I dont want those... things... cant you do whatever without muggle inventions?" Fear showed in her eyes a little when she said muggle. Eliza didnt trust their inventions.

Benjy couldn't do anything but try to calm Lucas down, so that's what he did. "Okay... we'll go see mommy, but I need you to be calm before we go see her. Can you do that for me?" Benjy knew that Eliza already had enough problems as it was and didn't need an upset little boy on top of that.

Jennifer could tell that Elizabeth was frustrated and upset. She could even tell that there was a little bit of fear. So she put down the stuff she had in her hands and took one of Elizabeth's hands into her own. "I know it can be scary to have muggle stuff being used, but unfortunately there is nothing in the magical world that works as well as these two things." Jen paused, rubbing the back of Elizabeth's hand gently before continuing. "I promise that these two things will be the only muggle things I'll use other than bandaging if I need it, deal?"

Jack nodded at the two as they walked in. He sat near his wife, not moving, he could care much less about anything else right now. But he wasn't sure what to do, he knew the muggle devices would be best for his wife, but he also know how much muggle things scared her...so he sat there, watching her like a hawk.

Lucas cried and cried. He sniffed and whimpered, "I want my mommy." His lip quivered and his eyes were big and sad.
Elizabeth glanced at Jen then to her husband. She whimpered and tried to pull Jack closer. Eliza hid her head in his chest. Elizabeth hated anything that muggles invented. She didnt want to use the two things.

Benjy hugged Lucas close and pulled out his hanky to give the little guy. He waited a moment or two until the little boy was quieter and then carried him back over to where he could see mommy. "You can watch mommy from here because Jen and daddy are helping her right now, okay? When mommy feels a bit better, I'll bring you over to her." He whispered quietly for Lucas, still holding him close.

Jen watched at Eliza seemed to somewhat lose some of her energy to fight. She stayed, kneeling beside the couch, waiting to see if Eliza or the husband would give her consent to continue treating Elizabeth.

Jack moved closer to his wife. "It's okay...these things won't hurt you.." He said, kissing her on the forehead. "Trust me?" He asked, then looked at Jen, he knew she only meant well.

Lucas watched, clinging to Benjy. He whimpered and tugged on his arm. "What happen?" He started to whimper and cry.
Elizabeth looked up at Jack then she fainted. She had been using too much energy. Eliza's head fell back onto his shoulder and her arm dropped which would make it easy for Jen to insert the iv.
