"Ummm.." Harry started, "summer break?" Ron finished. Tj shrugged, "I guess, and since when are you so okay about this?" Jacey groaned as she laid back in the bed, "Fine." she said with a pout as her body wracked in coughs. "oaky Cath, I'm fine." she admitted, but I do want to see him." she said blushing a bit |
Hermione shook her head. "YOu two are hopeless...and you both have the emotional range of a teaspoon," she said, finally grinning at them. Pansy took a bite of her eggs. "Since we got a juicy little rumor to spread around to our hearts content that will positively tear up the hearts of many," she said, grinning. "Alright, I'll see you later," Cathy said, winking at Jacey before leaving. "Don't worry, I'll find him," she said to Jacey. "Its the least I can do for forcing you to the hospital wing...you aren't mad are you?" she asked, turning into a shortcut. She knew the schools almost or as good as Harry. Draco was walking down the hall, not really wanting to go into the Great Hall because he knew TJ would be in there by now. Suddenly, a tapestry flipped open and he collied with it, and the solid thing behind it. "What the bloody...how dare you!" he yelled, picking himself quickly off the floor. Cathy had been mainly protected by the tapestry, but the collision had surprised her as well. "Don't take the tone with me, Draco Malfoy," she said, narrowing her eyes at him. "Just because you're dating my best friend doesn't mean I shouldn't curse you right now for that," she said, watching him. "You dare threaten me?" he asked her, picking himself up, some of his anger wearing off. Cathy put her hands on her hips. "Yes, I do...and if you don't get off that throne of yours, I won't be able to pass along some news," she said, looking at him. "Although after that greeting, I don't know if I want to tell you anyway," she said, glaring at him. |
Harry and Ron laughed, Ron spit of chewed bacon and Harry spit out his pumpkin juice. "You are funny Hermione." Ron said approvingly, nodding his head Harry looked back to the doors of the Great Hall, he was getting worried about Cathy and Jacey, they had been gone for quite a while and he hoped no one was really hurt. Jacey smiled as she fell back into the pillows, "No Cath, I'm not mad at you." she said with a smile. "Just be nice to Draco okay?" |
Hermione grinned. "Well, I had to do something!" she said with a grin. She glanced toward Harry. "You alright?" she asked him, frowning slightly. "Fine," Cathy sent back, resisting the urge to grin. "We'll just see if he's acting better..." she said, waiting for a response from Draco. Draco returned to glare, and then sighed. "Alright, I apologize," he said with some effort. "Now where's Jacey? I didn't see her in the Great Hall..." he said, trailing off. Cathy put up a hand. "Just wait a sec, she's in the Hospital Wing. I thought she didn't look to good this morning, so I took her up there. Madame Pomfrey has banished her to bed for the day," she explained to him. Draco nodded. He began to walk toward the direction of the Hospital Wing, but then stopped. "Thanks," he said cooly, before continuing to walk up to the Wing. Cathy grinned. "What do you know Jace, I think you've begun to change him," she said, grinning as she made her way down to the Great Hall. |
Jacey laughed at Cathy's response, "I told you didn't I?" she asked, before giving into a fit of coughs again. Harry jumped a little, startled by Hermione's voice, "Um, yeah." he said, pushing the food around on his plate, "I'm all right." Ron looked up, "I wonder where Cathy and Jacey went off to, they are missing breakfast." he said through a mouthful of food. Tj nodded, "Oh yes, our partners in crime scheme, I think it will work quite nicely." he said with a smirk. |
Hermione smiled. "They'll be back soon," she said, grinning. "Cathy was dragging Jacey to the Hospital Wing," she explained as she ate more of her breakfast. "Somebody say my name?" Cathy asked as she took the seat next to Hermione. "Morning boys, not giving Hermione too much trouble, are you?" she asked, grinning. Draco walked into the Hospital Wing as Jacey went into a fit of coughing. "That doesn't sound good," he said, taking a seat next to her. "I'm kind-of glad Cathy dragged you in here," he said, smiling at her. Pansy smirked. "Yes, this should come along quite nicely...now, when are we doing it again?" she asked him. |
"Hi Cath." Harry said quickly, trying to contain his excitement a bit, he didn't want Ron and Hermione, well,mostly Hermione to catch on. "Um, so how's Jace?" he asked clearing his throat. Ron looked up from his food for ten seconds to grunt a hello to Cathy. Tj smirked, "I think it would be best to hold off a bit longer, let Davidson get really attached to Draco and then we will break them up" Jacey smiled at Draco, "I hate the hospital, I can not just lie here all day I will go insane." she said with a pout, "I would rather be in Potions." she added with a laugh that brought on another fit of coughing |
Cathy winked at Harry as she gather some food onto her plate. "That's all the 'hello' I get from you Ron?" she asked, pretending to be seriously hurt. "I thought that you and I had a connection...one that couldn't be eroded, or washed away," she said, forcing tears to come to her eyes. Hermione glanced at Harry when Cathy came in. Pushing the thought away, she grinned. "Seriously Ron! You don't have to be so cruel," she said, hiding lauhgter. Pansy sighed. "Fine," she said, pouting. "Just keep me updated...anyhting else we can use?" she asked him, raising an eyebrow. Draco smiled. "Now, calm down, you are going to hurt yourself," he said with a smile. "As for Potions, I would personally prefer to lie around all day, but I guess I don't hate hospitals that much," he said with a smile. He took Jacey's hand. "I believe you need some rest, but I won't leave your side, okay?" he said, givign her hand a small squeeze. |
Ron looked up at Cathy and frowned, "Uh, sorry, but I'm just so hungry!" he said, putting his fork down, "Don't uh... don't cry." Harry smiled at Cathy and Ron and turned to the side, "What's wrong with Jace?" he asked. Tj smirked, "Maybe, we might be able to use something else. " he said, (i cant remember gotta go back and check..) Jacey smiled as he took her hand, "But you are going to miss your classes." she said, not that she wanted him to leave, but she didn't want him getting into trouble on her account. |
Cathy forced a few tears to slide down her cheeks. "That's all you can say! You're hungry!" she squeaked, covering her face with her hands. "I don't believe you Ronald! How could you?" she asked him, glaring into his eyes. Hermione couldn't help it, she burst out laughing. "Sorry!" she said to Cathy. Cathy began to laugh herself. "I had to keep you going Ron!" she said with a grin, the tears from laughing now. "Jace is fine....MAdame Pomfrey just said that she had to stay in bed and sleep. She had a minor case of the flu, but Madame Pomfrey can take care of that in a jiffy," she said with a grin. Draco grinned. "Well, maybe I got sick from kissing you," he said, kissing her lips. |
Harry nodded, "Oh all right, well, it is getting late, are you guys ready to get to class?" he asked. Ron nodded and pushed his plate away, "I'm so full." he said, giving Cathy an evil glare, "That wan't funny, you know I can't deal with the crying." Jacey smiled, "Well, that sounds plausable to me." she said kissing him again, sge hoped that Madame Pomfrey wouldn't come in a and see them, she might try to make him leave. Sitting up, she smiled at him, "So, I know you dreamt about me last night, tell me about it." she teased him with a laugh |
Cathy sighed. "Unfortunetly..." she said, standing up. She glanced over and grabbed a few pastries and tucked them into her bag. "In case I get hungry later," she said with a shrug. Cathy winked at Ron. "I know...that's why I did it," she whispered the last part to Hermione. Hermione laughed at Ron's expression. "Oh calm down Ron, it was only a joke," she said with a grin. "What do you think would happen if I started to cry?" she whispered to Cathy. Draco smiled. "Well, you and I were walking down the beach at sunset, and we were just about to kiss when a Hippogriff came out of the water, claiming that he was Tom and he had to put a stop to this!" he said with a smile. |
Harry smiled at Hermione and Cathy , "Come on you two leave him alone." he said, sounding like the father of the group. Ron stood up and nodded, "Yeah. Thanks mate." Jacey laughed, and gasped with fake shock, "Tom? Oh no! What did you say to him?" she asked all dramatic like, putting her hand over her heart. |
Cathy looked at Hermione. "I don't know...maybe he'd kiss you again," she whispered, grinning. "I say we pick on Harry now," she said with a wink. Hermione made a face at Cathy, but grinned. "Alright, you lead, I'll follow," she said quietly. "But Haaarrrryyy," Cathy whined, putting on a puppy dog face. "We were only having a little fun," she whined again, making it screechy. Draco grinned. "Well, at that point, you and I ran, and the Hippogriff-Tom tripped. And we were about to kiss again, when I woke up," he said with a sigh. "So, that's why I had to do the real thing," he said, grinning at her. |
Harry groaned when Cathy began to whine, "Ah! you know I can't stand that!" he said, putting his hands over his ears. Ron nodded, "Me either." he said. Jacey smiled "I am going to need some serious chapstick by the time this day is over." she said with a laugh, which of course brought on another fit of coughing, "Uh!" she groaned, her voice hoarse, "I hate being sick." She said, starting to sit up against the pillows. |
Draco smiled. "I don't blame you," he said, smiling at her. "Look, you need your sleep, don't sit up," he said, watching as she tried to pull herself up. HE pulled the blankets up farther on her, as if to tuck her in. "And don't worry, I'm not going to leave you," he said quietly, taking her hand. "But Harrrryyyy!" Cathy whined some more. "Yeah Haarry," Hermione joined in, grinning at Cathy. "We're only having a little fun," she said. |
Jacey fell into the pillows again and pouted, "You are too nice for your own good Draco Malfoy!" she said, trying not to smile, "First you skip all of your classes to sit with me in the hospital and now you are actually telling me to sleep and leave you sitting here all bored like?" she shook her head, "Come her eso I can kiss you again." she said with a fake dramamtic sigh and a laugh. Harry put his fingers in his ears as he and Ron ran away from Hermione and Cathy, to their first class. |
Draco shrugged. "I do my best," he said with a sarcastic grin. "Alright, you have sleep to do though," he said, leaning down to kiss her. He first kissed her on her forehead, and kissed her on the lips, lingering there for a little longer. "Now, sleep, I have homework to catch up on anyway," he said with a smile. Cathy and Hermione laughed as they watched the boys run. "Such good fun," Cathy said with a grin. Hermione grinned. "Not often that I get a chance to get at them evenly," she said with a laugh. "Its normally two boys and me!" she said with a sigh. Cathy laughed. "Well, no longer, my friend," she said, putting her arm around Hermione. As they entered the class, they took seats behind the boys. "Alright, we're done, you can take your fingers out of your ears," she said to them, still grinning. |
Jacey didn't want to sleep, but there was no point in fighting with Draco about it, so she turned onto her side and took a deep breath, closing her eyes. "I feel weird with you watching me like my guardian angel or something." she said, a smile creeping to her lips, she peeked through her eyelashes and watched him quietly. Harry pulled his fingers from his ears and turned to wipe them on Cathy's robes, sticking his tongue out at her. Ron however, refused to remove his fingers until the class started. |
Draco saw the slits of her eyes and winked at her. "Well, maybe you need a guardian," he said with a grin. "C'mon, sleep time, otherwise, I'm going to get Madame Pomfrey," he warned, grinning. He pulled out a book and parchment, and began to work. "Is that better?" he asked her quietly. Cathy moved when Harry tried to wipe his fingers on her. "Don't you dare," she warned him, grinning. She stuck her tongue out in response, and winked at him. "You'd better turn around before you get in trouble," she said, grinning. Hermione laughed and took out her quill. Taking the feathered end, she gently slid it across his neck, knowing it would tickle even if it wasn't a sensitive area. |
Jacey nodded, "Yes." she said with a smile, "Thank you." she added, she closed her eyes again and wondered what honework he was doing, she really wanted to ask him, but she figured that she shouldnt chance it. Her mind fast forwarded through the events of the last two days and she couldn't help but smile at the way things had changed so quickly. Ron hunched his shoulders in effort to hode his neck from the quill, but he stil didn't remove his fingers. Harry noticed that Hermione and Ron were busy and he looked at Cathy, talking her hand and giving it a small squeeze, but he didnt want anyone to see, so he had to make conversation, "So, uh, how much of a fight did Jace put up when you tried to take her into the hospital?" he asked. |
Draco pulled out his wand once he saw that Jacey had her eyes closed. Quietly, he casted the sleeping charm that Flitwick had taught them. He knew that Jacey wasn't going to go to sleep easily, and grinned slightly. Then, he turned back to his homework. Hermione sighed. Taking her quill, she ran it up and down the back of his ear, and then blew on his other one, just to see how he would react. Cathy grinned as she watched Hermione. She arranged her books so that Hermione wouldn't be able to see them holding hands. She grinned. "She put up quite a fight...it took all my will not to pull my wand out and charm her into walking in peacefully!" she said with a laugh. |
Jacey shifted as she felt a sleepy sensation flood through her, she felt as if she hadn't slept in five years. She tilted her head to the side and fell into a deep sleep. Ron pulled his fingers out nof his ears and turned around "If you don't stop Hermione I will snogg you again!!" he said quickly, but not loudly. Harry nodded, "That sounds just like her." he said with a smile, looking up at Ron as he turned around he pulled his hand away from Cathy's and laughed, "Yeah Hermione, you wouldn't want that infront of the whole class would you?" he asked. |
Hermione grinned and shot a wink over to Harry and Cathy. "But Ronnnieeee!" she whined quietly so that the whole class wouldn't hear. Cathy laughed as she heard Hermione. "What can I say? She learned from the master!" she said, still giggling. |
Ron raised an eyebrow at Hermione, she was really asking for it, but he waited to see if she would stop and if she didn't he would kiss her again, that would make her quiet. Harry nudged Cathy's arm and whispered into her ear, "It looks like Ron is about to crack." he said quietly so that neither of their friends would hear. "Do you think they will ever get together?" Jacey shifted again in her sleep, she was having weird dreams, not necessarily bad ones, but weird crazy ones, and they seemed to follow one after another in an endless procession, so far, she had been chased by a turtle, turned into a princess by a frog, climbed to the top of a high mountain accompanied only by a talking llama, and now, she was swimming in the Black Lake with the Giant Squid, who bore a very strange resemblance to her ex boyfriend Tom. |
