Edward, who had missed out on so much by just waiting on Bella, sighed. He followed his 'family', not really knowing what to do. He was being kind of ignored, but he didn't mind. He hated attention anyways. He took out his wand and examined it, following Alice around aimlessly, since she was in his and Bella's House and they went were she did.

Embry groaned, stretching out on the ground. He seriously needed to get used to the stairs being really long. He had tripped, thinking the stairs were finished and he had reached the bottom, but it turns out he wasn't anywhere near the bottom. He laughed at himself, wanting to tell Quil or Jacob. But Jake wouldn't think that was so funny...maybe a few years ago but not now. He got up, brushed himself off, and grabbed his books and papers that fell in the floor.

Ooc: No. I'm going to be pming everyone that hasn't replied in a while.

Rosalie shook her head in a gesture of saying that it was ok that Edward had inturrupted her. "I don't know where Emmett is." She said growling slightly. He was never around ever since they had "transferred" to Hogwarts.

"Tomorrow?!" Rosalie said, taking a deep breath. She was happy that the battle was soon but in some way, she wasn't prepared for it. What if they lost someone? What if they were to go back to their home with a member missing? "I need to find Emmett and tell him this!" Rosalie exclaimed, slamming her fist into her marble hand.

Edward heard all the questions in Rosalie's mind. The truth was, he was thinking the exact same thing. His worst thought was: What if Bella dies? He looked at the ground, wondering what to do. He was usually the one with the ideas, but he couldn't think of any now.

'Yes, Serena,' Draco drawled sarcastically, 'Maybe just something called attraction?' He shrugged lightly, 'Forget it, don't feel as though you need to explain yourself to me, it's your choice what you with other guys, right?' He couldn't understand himself why he was getting so worked up. Clenching his fists, he forced himself to calm down, not wanting to alert Serena to his sudden annoyance.

He stared at her next words, what was she trying to imply, exactly? 'I don't get you, what're you saying?' He smirked smugly, 'Of course I understand that you'd choose me over him any old day, but I already knew that,' His smirk broadened as he nudged her teasingly, half-wondering whether she'd actually deny what he'd just stated.

'Aah, the lake,' Draco murmured softly, 'So you're still up to it? Not afraid of my earlier threats?' He moved fluidly to his feet though, grabbing his leather satchel and slinging it across his body. Draco watched Serena with an eyebrow raised, amused. 'You getting up today or what?'

Alice nodded as she looked in concern at her 'sister.' It was quite wierd that Emmett hadnt been seen yet. She glanced at Edward. Can you hear Emmett's thoughts? she asked him in her thoughts as she stepped towards Rosalie. "Dont worry Rose," She whispered in a consoling way. "Emmett will come soon,"

Edward closed his eyes, searching through the crowd for anything that sounded like Emmett. He heard three voices, all of them sounding exactly like Emmett. "I'm not sure," he whispered. He wasn't so tuned into his brothers and sister's thoughts as he was to Bella's heart beat. He needed to get that fixed.

Serena looked at him, noticing the small hand motion he had made. Was he clenching his fists? She looked at him in surprise. What could have she said that would make him so frustrated or angry? Reviewing, their conversation they had just had in her head, her blue eyes widened slightly. Noo... She thought to herself. It can't be. I must be overanalyzing. Shaking her head as this last thought went through her mind. There was no way that Draco Malfoy could honestly be jealous that she was staring at other attractive boys.

Instead of nudging him back, she elbowed him softly in the ribs. "Don't get too far ahead of yourself." She said, teasing him. Draco's arrogance always came into play at these types of moments, but she knew that he was only kidding...most of the time. "But you are more important to me than any other boy I've met." She said, giving him a soft smile, subtly answering his previous question.

"You better not, or like I said before, you're going down with me." She said, getting out of her seat and picking up her bag overfilled with her day's classroom textbooks. Serena slowly walked away from the Slytherin table and out the Great Hall. Waiting for Draco to catch up, she watched as the exchange students from earlier walked into the Entrance Hall.


Giving her a brief hug, Rosalie sighed. Her lover better be by her side tomorrow when the battle started, or Emmett might have scarier things to deal with other than a power hungry dark lord wanting to control the entire world after him.

"No?" She said looking at Edward, as they climbed the steps. Growling again, she flung the entrance doors open and stalked into the Entrance Hall. She was going to find Emmett now!

Draco watched her mentally review...something. What it was exactly, he wasn't sure. As her eyes widened and she shook her head, he inhaled sharply, alarm flooding him. Damn it. She couldn't get the idea now. Not after he'd worked so hard to build his illusion. 'Serena, you better get that ridiculous notion out of your head this instant,' He said quickly, laughing. But even to his own ears, his laugh sounded terribly shaky, strained.

'I'm only a boy to you?' Draco repeated incredulously, 'You've got to be kidding me,' He shook his head in disbelief, 'I can't believe you still think I'm a lowly boy, you've completely wounded my pride, you know,' He glanced at her, gaze wide-eyed and smouldering in a way that was clearly meant to scramble another's thoughts. He smirked however, knowing full well that Serena knew he was only messing around with her.

Draco held his hands up in mock-surrender, 'Okay, I give up, I've come into contact with your pay-backs more than is my fair share.' He pushed his blonde locks out of his eyes, only to have them fall rakishly into his eyes again, 'I promise I won't trick you or anything,' Draco grinned at her, before breaking out into a slow jog to reach her, the fingers of both his hands firmly crossed behind his back.

ooc: Who is Emmett? I can be him if you want me too, and if they don't reply. I don't mind.

"Rosalie," Edward warned, "it won't help anything if you get angry. It'll only show what we are. Just get angry when we're in private, okay?" he said in a whisper, only so the vampires could hear.

"What ridiculous notion?" She said innocently looking at him. Hearing his forced laughter, she raised her eyebrows. This wasn't the calm Draco she knew. Something was up and the Slytherin girl was determined to find out what he was hiding from her. Serena had thought they had no secrets with each other, well other than that secret. "You must be overthinking." She said, fixing the collar of her school robes.

Hearing the tragic tale of her wounding Draco's pride again, the blonde burst out in laughter. "I was sure that you didn't have any pride left after our 5th year." She said, remembering the fight that they had had in the Slytherin common room, to the dismay of all the other Slytherins. They had insulted each other quite badly back than and had woken a number of students in the dead of the night. After each had refused to apologize to each other, they both got over their pride and stubborness to get over that fight.

"Good." Serena stated, flashing him a sly smile. Just because he had said he wouldn't push her into the lake, didn't mean she wouldn't. Holding back a smile, she watched as his blonde locks fell into his eyes again. "You need a haircut." She said, reaching out and brushing them out of his grey eyes for him. Pausing as she realized how intimate this gesture was, even for them, she quickly pulled back her hand.


occ: All That Jazz is supposed to be. I'll give them a few days to reply to my PM. If not, I would be in your debt if you took over Emmeett.

Hearing Edward, she shook her head, wanting to just track down him down. But she knew that she also had to be reasonable. Especially in this setting where the battle was so close. They had to protect their identity until the last moment, when it was impossible to. Sighing, she forced herself into a better posture, pulling herself out from her hunting crouch.

Draco gulped inaudibly at her innocent tone, cursing himself for letting himself let things go this far. He smiled shakily, 'Uhh, just the idea that I might be feeling jealous about any feelings you might have for the newcomer,' Draco muttered quickly, pulling at the collar of shirt, before loosening his tie. When had it gotten so warm in this room?!

He narrowed his eyes at Serena in confusion, 'What'm I overthinking here? Are you sure it's not you who's overthinking?' Draco smirked at her, trying hastily to change the subject.


Draco stared at her, taken aback, scowling. 'Serena, I did not need to be reminded of that incident,' He groaned, glancing furtively at the rest of the Slytherin table. The last thing he needed was that issue brought up, they'd never let him live it down. 'But anyway, I daresay you need to be reminded that a Malfoy never runs out of pride,' Draco finished smugly, his grey eyes surveying her coolly.

Draco smirked back, even though inside, he could feel the beginning of worry starting at the very sight of her smile. Something was amiss here. 'I don't need a hair cut, thanks very much,' Draco muttered, 'I prefer it longer anyways. Besides, no girl can resist my messy fringe when it gets into my eyes,' He said confidently, wondering at the same time why he was telling Serena this. Draco broke off when she reached out to brush his locks away, not missing her brief pause either. Trying to quell the sudden awkwardness spiralling between them, he quickly liked his own arm with Serena's, all the while wondering what the hell was going on between the pair of them today.

All of a sudden, Jasper was pulled down to Alice ans was kissed. He wasn't complaining. He heard the sound of annoyance in the group of girls and he couldn't help but laugh. "Well done Alice." He smiled

"Tomorrow?" Jasper's eyes widened. "Wow. We need to get ready fo it then." He suggested.


"We should look for him now. Jasper shook his head. "This is ridiculous." Jasper was thinking probobly the same as what the others were thinking. They might lose someone, and what if it was Alice? He was being optimistic about it though. He knew that Alice was a brilliant fighter and she'd be very careful. Jasper tried to use his power to changethe emotional state, which at the moment, was worry.

Alice chuckled when she saw his reaction. By this time the group of girls had stumbled off, glaring at her. "Hmm. I dont think their gonna like me"

She nodded at his words as she slipped her hand into his. "Maybe we should go through some fighting preparation again tonight"


Alice felt him calming them now and looked up with a smile. "Yeah. He needs to know about the battle"

Jasper chuckled. "It doesn't matter, you have me." He squeezed her hand. "Which I'm sure is much better than them."

"We should, even the we're brilliant." Jasper smirked.

Alice smiled as she looked up at him. "Your an eternity better than them," She commented quietly, playing on the words.

She giggled. "Of course we are. Especially with you as our teacher"

Jasper winked. "Yeaaah. I know." He smiled down at her. Jasper could sometimes be a bit vain, especially when he knew he had a litle army of fangirls.

Jasper nodded. "Yep. But maybe we should practise extra hard ... just in case." He shrugged.

Alice looked at him strangely. She knew fully well that he could be a bit vain. "Dont let your head get too big Jasper," She teased with a grin. She loved joking around with him.

"Yeah. We've never experianed something like this before," She agreed with him. They didnt want to be unprepared, it could cost them.

Jasper rolled his eyes. "I can't help it. Having a group of girl who love you get's to your head." He smiled. "It's gets annoying though."

"True. But I think we should find Emmett first." He nodded. "What do you think Rose?"

"So a girl who loves you is better?" Alice asked with a smile. She knew that he cared about her a lot so really she didnt have to ask that question.

"Yeah. Give me a moment though," She nodded as she closed her eyes, trying to see if she could see where Emmett was. It would help them if she had at least a small idea where he was.

ooc: Just tell me when you want me to jump in.


Edward looked around. "I think he is either in the Library or at the Lake," he whispered. He detected the two most like Emmett thoughts there. But he doubted Emmett would be at the Library. It sounded more like him to be swimming than to be studying.

Serena looked away and stared at the concrete floor as he had guessed her suspicions right. Wondering what remark she could say, she was flabbergasted. Her. Serena. No snide remark back to change the conversation back into her favor?

Forcing herself to mutter a small and quiet no, she shook her head, just in case Draco had missed her little utter of denial. Fidgeting with her collar that she had just smoothed into place, she chanced a look at Draco. "Me overthinking?" She muttered. "I don't think so..." She said trailing off, hoping for another topic to talk about. What if she had been wrong? What if she looked like an absolute fool right now?

"I think we've all noticed that you'll never run out of pride." She said, nodding, thinking about how smug Draco was all the time with their other friends. Serena sometimes wondered how anyone could stand him when he was on his high horse. How did she stand him when he was all prideful and arrogant. The blonde honestly had no idea. But wasn't those traits of his something that she had fallen for?


What the hell was going on today? Something was amiss. Everything seemed to be off. Even their normal flirting and insulting with each other seemed to be different. Feeling his arm touching hers, Serena flushed, red spots dotting her cheeks. Something was very wrong today. Her blushing because of Draco? Never. Until now.

"...Messy fringe?" Serena said, trying to force herself to pay attention to what Draco had said before. "At the rate you're letting your hair grow, everyone will start to wonder if you've decided to take after my amazing fashion skills and copy my hair." She said joking and indicating to her own long blonde hair.


It was getting ridiculous. Emmett was supposed to be their 'big brother' figure. The one that kept everything amusing and calm. And Rosalie needed him to be with her at a time like this. She was worried. This wasn't another coven of vampires like their previous battle. This was something completely different. Magic, giants, spiders, and other power-hungry wizards that killed for a living.

Feeling her worry wash away slightly, she knew her brother was fixing the emotions that were circulating through the group. Glaring at him, her dark eyes scanned the Entrance Hall.

Ooc: If you don't mind, you can begin to play Emmett! *gives you cookies*

"Library or the lake?!" Rosalie muttered to herself outraged. Of all places and things he could do, he was reading or swimming? Emmett was definitely going to have to grovel to her before she was letting him sleep in their bed again.


Hermione forced the library door open as she made her way through the groups of students that were now bunching together and chatting after a day of classes. Wanting to get to the Gryffindor common room so she could activate the coins and see if any remaining members of the DA wanted to join their battle that was happening soon, she accidently knocked into a bunch of first years.

Two of her heavy textbooks flew off the pile from her hands and tipped dangerously on the balcony, threatening to fall onto students that were standing down in the Entrance Hall. The Gryffindor slowly watched as one of the books slid off the rail and fell down two stories worth of height. Wincing as she heard the loud thud, she wondered if Madam Pince was going to kill her and hoped for her own safety's sake, the book wasn't too damaged.

Hurrying down the Marble Staircase and skipping over the trick step, she paused when she reached the Entrance Hall. The students she had seen from upstairs were the vampires and Draco Malfoy and Serena Roberts. This isn't good. She said, as she knew she had made a big commotion.

Jasper laughed "Definitly. I choose you over anyone." He smiled. Jasper watched her close her eyes agian to look for Emmett.
"I wonder why he's kept to himself all of a sudden." He thought aloud.

Jasper glared back at Rosalie. "I was only trying to help." He said. "He's fine. We'll all look for him, and in the meantime, he's probobly at the lake or something, like Edward said." He added.

After a few moments Alice opened her eyes again, clearly frustrated. "He must be near some wolves. I cant see anything," She commented as she watched Rosalie and Jasper glare at each other. She stepped in front of him as if protectivly but she didnt quite mean that. "Stop it both of you. This wont help"

Immediately Rosalie felt ashamed. "Sorry." She said to her brother. "I'm just worried." She said, lowering her eyes. The last thing she needed, or what their family needed was a family fight.

Seeing a book land on the floor near them, she looked up bemused to see a girl she recognized before flushed and running down the stairs apologzing to everyone that was near her.

Giving a small nod of apology to Alice, Rosalie sighed. Running her pale hand through her light blonde hair, she pouted. Everyone had their partners with them, except her. "Wolves?" Rosalie questioned, finally cluing in on what Alice had said moments before. "What could he be doing with them?" She said, wrinkling her nose.

Edward sighed. "Okay, the wolves are probably outside, which means Emmett is at the lake," he said, grabbing Bella's hand and leading the way to the lake. "Emmett!" he yelled, looking around the place.

Emmett dove in deeper and deeper, trying to get rid of the wretched smell that belonged to the dogs. He sat down on the bottom for who knows how long, probably the whole afternoon, and he finally decided to go up. He thought he heard his name. He shot out of the water, thinking something was wrong. "What, guys?" he asked, running to the group in nothing but his knickers. Luckily there was clouds above. He noticed all the girls (and some of the guys) looking at him, and he quickly put his clothes on that he stashed under the tree. "Did I miss something?"
