Raising an eyebrow at Edward as he sorted out her potion before she did, Bella walked out with him and smiled warmly at Alice as they stopped next to her.

'The next couple of days?' Bella asked, her voice low. 'That soon?' She sighed and closed her eyes for a minute to force the edge of hysteria she was beginning to feel away. Opening them again, she looked at Alice with a slight smirk. 'And Alice, I don't think we'll be needing to use wands if we get this . . . whatever his name is out of the eye of the others. I don't think any of us can use a wand well.'

Draco smirked, shrugging, feigning indifference. 'Oh I don't know. Just wanted to see what'd caught your...interest.'

Draco moved towards her, a small knife in his hand. Helping Serena out, he chopped them out steadily, equal small portions.

Leaning in closer so that his voice wouldn't carry over to the others, 'You know, if you like him so much, why don't you get to know him better? You're hardly going to get anywhere if he doesn't ever find out your name.' Draco muttered, his teeth gritted slightly, hardly believing that he was actually drawing these two closer together.

'Jacob,' Seth said quietly, trying to maintain his patience, 'Why is it that Bella can be all fine and dandy with Edward, and you're the one left mourning?' He asked sarcastically, arms crossed forcefully across his chest. 'Hardly seems fair.'

'Mate, you've got to look past Bella, you can't ruin the rest of your life like this,' Seth beseeched, his tone desperate. He didn't want one of his best friends to throw away his life like this.

'You haven't forgotten have you? One day, like the rest of us, the inevitable's going to arrive. You're going to imprint on a girl. What're you gonna do then?' Seth asked, anger showing through, 'Make her life a misery too? You know she deserves better.'

Alice nodded as she looked inbetween them, at the door wondering where Jasper had gotten too. "Yeah. I had a vision of it last night," She continued as she glanced at all three of them. "The other students are getting suspicious of us."

Edward looked at Bella and back at Alice. "This...is too soon," he said. "I don't really think we need the wands. We're too fast. But the rest...Anyways, I agree. They are getting suspicious. But not too suspicious to think what we really are. I've listened in, they think we're something else. Like a mermaid hybrid or something. Though the smart ones are halfway there."

Alice nodded in agreement as she continued to loook at the door. There were only a few people left in the room. "Mermaidss!" She repeated before giggling. "I'd look terrible with a tail," She commented as she glanced down at the floor which was rather close. "That Hermione Granger girl is sending a letter to Remus about us. Asking questions"

"That girl is too smart," Edwrad said, rolling his eyes and ignoring her giggling. "I doubt Remus will tell her..." he was, actually, not sure of this. He didn't know much about this Remus, only that he was on their side and should be trusted. "Where's JASPER?!" he asked, looking inside the classroom. "We need to tell Emmett and Carlisle."

Alice nodded in agreement. "Even if he doesnt tell her. She'll guess," She commented as she stepped closer to the class room, to see where Jasper was. "Jazz come on or we'll leave you," She called to him with a slight smirk as she leant against the door.

Rosalie let Alice drag her into a more secluded corner of the dungeons. "Next couple of days?!" Rosalie hissed, more in shock than anger. "I'm definitely not ready. I'll never learn how to use a wand in time!" She said worriedly.

"That's true." Rosalie said listening to Bella. "I don't think we'll need a wand. It'll only slow us down with us trying to remember spells and hand movements." She brushed her hair behind her and took a glance around the corridor, watching as students walked past them confused at the group that were huddled in the corner.

Rosalie nodded in agreement. "They are. But what did you expect? For them to not notice?" She said, glancing at the group of girls that were watching them. "We don't exactly blend in." She said, lowering her voice so only her family could hear. Who knew what kind of spell the students would use if they wanted to eavesdrop?

Looking around her and realizing her brother was not in their group, she shook her head. "Probably still trying to figure out that potion. Sometimes I think he's more stubborn than I am." She said grinning slightly. "Emmett and Carlisle need to know. I haven't seen Emmett all day!" She said pouting slightly.


Serena looked at him in horror. "He's got a girlfriend, I think." She said, looking at him. "Plus, I don't think I want to start anything with him. He looks...too perfect for me." She said, standing up and heading towards the doorway. Turning back she looked at Draco. "Let's go to lunch." She said, smiling and gesturing for him to follow her.

About to head out the door, she noticed Rosalie, Edward, Alice and Bella standing there. "Sorry." She muttered as she weaved her way through the group so she could stand outside and wait for Draco.

"Me either," Edward said. "Or Carlisle," he said, looking inside of the room and leaning against the wall, pulling Bella closer to him. He kissed her on the forehead, listening to her heartbeat as if it wouldn't be there in the next few days.

'He's got a girlfriend?' Draco repeated, 'So?' smirking. 'All the more reason, right? What's the fun in going after a guy who's available?' He taunted, winking roguishly. He glanced over at the blonde again, contemplating. 'You're right. He's hardly your time,' Draco stated, looking awfully sure of himself, confident.

Stuffing his school things into his leather satchel, Draco slung it across his body, his long strides evening him out with Serena easily. 'I'm starved,' he muttered, scowling. 'This morning's gone way too slow for my taste today.' Shaking his head, he glanced back at Serena, 'Want to accompany me to the lake after the last lesson, later on? We haven't received too much homework today, and it doesn't seem like too bad weather either.'

"Carlisle is working in the Hospital Wing right?" Rosalie asked, hoping for confirmation on where her 'father' was. "I wonder Emmett could be." She said softly, wanting to know where her lover was.

Serena laughed, raising an eyebrow. "Do you really want me to go for him?" She asked. "Because you know, I'm totally after the title of homewrecker now." She said, laughing. The Slytherin blonde would never go after someone else's boyfriend. She didn't want to deal with the drama and the heartbreak it would cause.

"A lot of boys aren't worth my time." Serena replied, taking a quick glance at Draco, who was exactly the opposite of the sentence she had just uttered. "Besides, I don't need anyone else in my love life." She announced as they made their way out of the dungeons.

"Sure! As long as you don't push me into the lake." She said, agreeing to his plans for after class. Adjusting her bag on her shoulder, they reached the Great Hall. "You and your stomach." She said, poking him in the stomach gently, knowing she was one of the few that got away with this kind of behaviour around him. Walking happily to the Slytherin table, she found two boys in their house sitting in their seats.

'I dunno,' Draco shrugged, feigning innocence. 'He could be good for you,' Watching Serena carefully, Draco laughed, nudging her playfully. 'You know I'm kidding. I prefer you single truth be told.' He smirked, his expression teasing. 'Without a guy, I get to have you all to myself longer.'

'Hmm, and I'm thinking I'm not one of these unfortunate guys,' Draco said seriously, 'Otherwise you might find yourself without a mate to accompany you for the rest of your school life.'

'Who said anything about pushing you into the lake?' Draco asked, the very picture of innocence, his grey eyes dancing mischieviously. As Serena poked her, Draco muttered mock-solemnly, 'You know, you take advantage of our friendship. Anyone else dared touch my and they'd be finding themselved hexed into oblivion.' He shook his head gravely, before bursting out into laughter. He really couldn't keep himself serious around Serena for long.

Looking at him, wondering if he was being serious or not about getting to spend more time with her, she searched his face. "I guess because of you I'll just end up single for the rest of my life." She said, laughing loudly, unable to stop herself from imagining it. "Because of you, I'll grow up to be an old cat lady with millions of cats in my manor and you'll have to visit now and than and bring me cans of cat food as a present."

"You better not!" Serena said. "I was only kidding!" She said alarmed, really hoping he wouldn't push her into the lake. Draco was definitely the type to too. Now I have to watch him. She said to herself. Glaring at the two new students who had taken their normal spots at the Slytherin table, she sat down almost across from them.

"Of course I take advantage." She nodded, pretending to be serious. "Plus I know you would never intentionally hurt me, let alone hex me into oblivion." She said, making a face at him. Picking up a plate, she choose a few sandwiches and offered them to Draco. "I would like to see you try." She said, grinning at him as she watched him laugh.

Quil rolled his large dark eyes and grabbed a roll from the nearest plate. "Lame. With a capitol "L" man. The only remotly cool thing that happened was some idiot got bit by one of those man-eating plants." He said with a grin.

"How'd your little study period go, buddy?"

Carly was skipping lunch again. It was something she often did. Especially when she had study before and was busy sketching. Today Carly was sketching a particularly beautiful part of the lake and couldn't be disturbed by getting up for lunch.

Running her fingers through her wavy blonde hair, she tipped her head back to look at the sky. It was so blue today. Carly sighed and wished she'd brought her watercolors down from her dorm. It was such a lovely shade of blue...

Embry laughed. "Seriously?" he grinned, seeing two Slytherins staring at them. "Oh, boring. Nothing happened. I just...sat there," he said, taking three rolls in his hand and dumping them on his plate. "Where are the others?" he asked, looking around for the pack.

Draco worked hard to keep a straight face, looking back solemnly. 'Why'd you have to end up single for the rest of your life?' Draco asked, genuinely curious. 'You'll eventually find your..aah, soulmate or true love, won't you?' Draco smirked hard, 'There's nothing wrong with a gazillion cats, although yes, my visits to your place won't be all too frequent.'

'Serena, you might have been kidding,' Draco said seriously, 'But that doesn't mean I was.' Draco dropped into a seat by the Slythering table, his stomach growling inaudibly. Darn.

'I'd never intentionally harm you?' Draco repeated, with mock-horror. 'That's it, you really are taking too much away from our relationship. Draco Malfoy lives for the fear he quakes in others. And you're not exactly fitting the bill here.' He held his hands up in surrender, shrugging his shoulders. 'Fine, you maybe Charms and Transfiguration's more your thing, but we both know I excel at Potions.' He raised an eyebrow conspirationally, 'You never know, next time you might want to be careful about what you eat and drink around me.'

Taking a couple of the sandwiches Serena offered him, he munched into them, polishing them off quickly.
Draco looked up, surveying the fairly recent Slytherins sitting before them. These students tended to stick together, just like the good-looking blondes in their house. Strange.

Hermione glared as she poked her head back into class. What were Ron and Harry doing? She could make it to the owlery and back by the time they were done talking and packing up their things. Pulling out a spare piece of parchment and her quill, she leaned against the wall of the corridor, wanting to write the letter as she waited for them.

Remus, who are these new transfers?

She immediately scratched it out, knowing that if someone other than Remus read it, it would seem weird that a student would be asking him this. Sighing, she chewed on the tip of her quill, thinking of the best possible way to be secretive and still relay her questions to him.


"Soulmate? True love?" She said confused. Did she really believe in that sort of thing? It had always sounded like something from a fairytale if you asked her. Plus, she had never liked anyone of her former boyfriends enough to even consider the whole 'happily ever after' theme that she heard the girls in her dormitory always gushing about. "Do you believe in it?" She asked, wondering what Draco's views were on it.

"Yeah, I can imagine it wouldn't be too great to visit." She said laughing. "All those creatures crawling over you purring."

"I rather not take a swim with the giant squid." Serena said glaring at him. "If you push me, you're going down with me." She promised him, although she knew it wasn't a promise he would have wanted from her.

Picking up one of the remaining sandwiches, she took a bite into it, listening to Draco. " 'The fear he quakes in others.'?" She quoted amused. "You have got to be kidding me." She said laughing outright now. "Other than those fangirls you have and maybe some of the weaker Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, who shakes in their boots when they see you?" She teased, actually knowing that a lot of people feared her fellow Slytherin blonde. Mostly they were intimidated by the size of his fanclub and his impossibly good looks and cold icey demanour.

Hearing his mock threat to poison her, she immediately dropped her unfinished sandwich on her plate. Gasping and pretending like she was poisoned, she pointed to him. "You! You're trying to kill me!!" She said loudly, trying her hardest to reign in her laughter. Serena knew her housemates were probably wondering what the heck was going on between the two close friends but she enjoyed the fun anyways.

What would the new kids think?

"What are you writing Hermione?"Lelouch asked as he exited the classroom and saw her holding a quill and parchment.

He was soon followed by HArry.
"Wich class next?"

Alice nodded as she petted Rosalie's arm reassuringly. "Yeah. Rose none of us will learn how to." She looked around the corridor was almost deserted. "I say we go and find both of them when Jaspers done"

Quill nodded and laughed. "Haha. Me too." He added glumly. "School is so stupid. It's like prison. But worse." Quill complained, scooping some more food onto his plate. "When are we going get back into the outdoors?" He asked, in a more quiet tone.

Embry shrugged. "I don't know," he whispered back. "I'm not sure where they are," he added. "Or when the you-know-what is," he said about the battle.

"Oh!" Hermione exclaimed as Lelouch surprised her. "Just some homework requirements." She said, making it up on the spot, hoping her lie wasn't detectable. "You know, there's just so much to do that I need to write it all down." She said, giving him a small smile.

Hermione looked at Harry meaningfully. "I have a free class." She said, knowing full well that she didn't but she figured missing one class of Care of Magical Creatures wouldn't hurt. Plus she needed to figure out what to write to Remus and send it to him. "Harry does too don't you?" She said, pushing him on.

Sighing, she blew her a stray blonde hair out of her face. "Yes, I want to know exactly where Emmett is." She said, frustrated that she hadn't seen him at all for the past few days. And not to mention, the last time she did, he was playing another stupid prank.

To a vampire this deception of Hermione was easy to see trough but Lelouch didn't say anything about, instead he just played along.
"This school gives way too much homework, it's beyond me how you people find the time to do everything, I've only been doing this homework for a month and I'm already lost."

Harry got the message and played along with Hermione.
"How could I forget, A whole hour wich I can spend relaxing before we have to be back in class again."

"Lelouch I'll be seeing you."Harry said, turning to Lelouch."Have fun in class."

Hermione laughed. "The work load for me this year is much lighter since I'm taking fewer classes but I know what you mean. The homework pile has been insane lately. Maybe because it's our last year with N.E.W.T's and all."

Stuffing the piece of parchment that had her crossed out letter to Remus back into her book bag, she looked at Harry to see if he got her message.

Walking away with Harry, she bid her goodbye with her new friend. "We'll see you later." She said, waving to him. Turning back to Harry and facing the right direction so she wouldn't hit anyone, she raised an eyebrow, hoping he wouldn't say anything just yet. She didn't want anyone overhearing. Walking right past the Gryffindor common room, she quickly climbed the stairs, knowing it would be a while before they got to the owlery.

Looking around her to see if Lelouch was following, she whispered to Harry. "We need to contact Remus." She said hurriedly. "Something's not right with these new students." She said, hoping she didn't sound crazy to Harry.

"Yeah I know, I've trying to think of what it could be, but no luck so far."Harry said, when they had finally broken the silence and started discussing the new students.
"But what could Remus do about it, I doubt he knows anything about and how is he....."

"Wait a sec, maybe thats it."Harry said as he suddenly had an idea after Hermione mentioned Remus.
"Since Remus was accepted at Hogwarts even though he was a werewolf, who says that he was only magical being, whatever you may call it, at Hogwarts."
