After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"I'm sure Dumbledore can hold his own but, you are probably right. In fact, I'm not sure why he sent you here while he cared for Dani when I can't leave until he gets back here to take the girl back to her family," he said.

"Because he knew exactly what would happen if I showed up here today. He might have our best interest in mind, but he's a sly old coot nonetheless." Tara knew that if she didn't just leave she never would. Grabbing Snape a bit more roughly than she normally would, she pulled his head down and reached up to meet his lips. "Stay safe, you silly man."

Snape smiled after her last kiss. "I'll do my best," he replied, opening the door for her and following her out.

Harry shrugged, "I don't know.... But, you know, your promise to seduce me is the only thing that's going to get me through living in this awful house." He took her hand which she had used to slap his chest in his hand and kissed it.

Hermione was still nervous, but Fred's touch was enough for her to kick off the ground and hover above it. She looked at Fred and he nodded, so she leaned forward a bit and they started moving forward. She thought about how it was completely reassuring that Fred had his arms around hers, but couldn't help but thinking, too, that if his face wasn't right next to hers she'd be less nervous...

Fred had been a little afraid that Hermione wasn't going to kick off, but she surprised him and they were off. Hermione was doing excellant, much better than Fred had expected, seeing as how nervous she was. "You're doing great. I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride...."

Fred, though, before pulling his head back, brought his cheek back across hers, and laid a light kiss on the side of her cheek.

Hermione was proud of herself for keeping calm and steering the broom decently. Then Fred kissed her cheek. She felt her face get warm and some of her confidence ebbed away and she lost some control of the broom, but quickly regained it, staring straight ahead, not wanting Fred to know he made her nervous.

Tara led the way down the stairs and back to the kitchen. She figured their official good-bye had been upstairs, but she could still take leave of him again down here. Tonks sat at the table and tried to blend in. "I'll speak with Dumbledore about the new arrangements?" Tara looked resigned. If Snape thought it best, she'd go and let the Headmaster know.

Ginny smiled and removed her hand, heading back through the kitchen to the outer door. She greeted Professors Snape and Sinistra, not even wanting to know what the other teacher was doing here. A quick exchanged glance with Tonks revealed the other woman seemed to be remembering their conversation from earlier. As much as she wanted to stay and watch the dynamics of the two, she knew their was no plausible reason. She continued outside, Harry right behind her.

"If you're a good boy, we can talk more about how I plan on seducing you," Ginny rolled her eyes and handed Harry a rake.

Snape walked back down to the kitchen with Tara. "Yes, I'm sure the Headmaster would liked to be apprised," he said, making note of the people in the kitchen who appeared to not be looking at them.

Fred nearly fell off the broom at Hermione's little jolt, but thankfully regained his balance in time. But, something was wrong..Hermione was not being herself, and Fred had the distinct feeling it wasn't because they were flying around on his broom. TOday had just been a strange day, from Guin to the fight with George, to Fred confessing to Hermione that he had feelings for her. Maybe that was all that was wrong...but maybe not.

"Why don't you land over there in that hill?" Fred asked pointing to small hill that overlooked Grimmauld. Hermione, though a bit shaky, made a pretty good landing and Fred hopped off to steady the broom so she could hop off easily.

Fred moved away from her a bit, and looked down at his shoes with his hands down deep in his pockets. "Is....everything ok, Mione?"

Tara put her hand out for Snape to shake, and she caressed it gently with her thumb as she pumped his hand up and down. "I assume I'll see you when you return to the castle. Be well." She had let her hand linger in his too long. Dropping it, she turned and threw a handful of powder into the fire, calling "Hogwarts."

George rose and helped Guin to her feet. "We'll discuss this among ourselves and let you know, sir." At a nod from Dumbledore, George headed for the door, but he paused to give the little girl a curious look. She seemed to be ignoring him, singing a song under her breath and kicking her heels against the chair leg, and Dumbledore didn't even seem to notice she was there. George shrugged and left.

Dumbledore rose and saw Mr. Weasley and Miss Woods to the door. Then, he turned and walked over to Danika, just as Sitara arrived in the floo. He smiled. "How did it go?" he asked.

Tara smiled and gathered Dani into a hug when the girl spotted her and raced across the room. The girl's eyes were bright and seemed excited and content, so Tara really didn't feel bad about leaving her to spend some time with Snape. Dumbledore's question brought a light blush to her face, however, and she stroked Dani's hair and didn't look at him as she answered. "I'm sure the results were very much as you intended, Headmaster."

He merely smiled at her response. "I'm afraid I didn't get to spend much time with Miss Danika here. I had a meeting to attend to. However, I think she managed to have a good time with Fawkes," he said.

Harry took the rake and leaned on it. "Okay, so why don't you start telling me your plan? Unless I haven't been a good boy, of course, which undoubtedly, I have." He smiled and waited for Ginny to answer.

Hermione breathed easily now that they were on the ground. It was just so much more... stable than flying around in the air. But, Fred was distancing himself and she felt as if maybe her nervousness made him feel bad in some way... "Yes, everything's okay...

Dani nodded and pointed to the large, bright bird. "He's a phoenix, Mum. He feels warm when you touch him and... have you ever touched a phoenix? Do you think we could get one?"

"Phoenixes are really rare, love," Tara knelt down to talk to Dani face to face, but she gave a slightly reproachful glance to Dumbledore. "They are very hard to come by. I'll tell you what, though. I have two owls, maybe you could take care of them, and we'll talk about getting a nice pet for you." She stood and held Dani's hand. "Did you need anything else, Headmaster?" He seemed completely uninterested in news of her and Severus, and Tara didn't desire pressing the point.

"Good boys work," Ginny pointed to the rake he was leaning on and waited until he got started pulling the charred plants into a pile. She donned gloves and knelt to pull the burnt vegetation out. "Well, first I was thinking of waiting until you least expect it and actually deserve it," she teased, tossing a plant at him.

"Unless there's anything else you'd like to speak with me about. I believe Severus would like to get out of that house soon. he'll be along shortly after I've departed," Dumbledore winked.

Tara was quite certain that Dumbledore was nothing more than a vulgur old man. She nodded at him and turned on her heel, poor Dani having to take very big steps to keep up. They reached the tower in record time, and Tara sat heavily on her bed. Dani crawled up next to her and held her hand. Finally, after several moments of silence, she asked, "Can we see the owls now?"

Dumbledore smiled as they left and then, turned to the floo. He arrived back at Grimmauld Place to find Severus pacing before the fireplace. He seemed quite relieved to see the Headmaster and Dumbledore nodded, "You may go Severus." He walked to the stairs without a word to anyone and took Alicia back to her parents.

Snape was more than relieved to see Dumbledore and left as soon as he gave the word. He arrived back in his quarters and was tempted to just fall into one of his chairs and sleep but, he had a better idea. So, leaving his quarters, he headed up to the astronomy tower and knocked on the door to Tara's quarters.

Fred considered Hermione, then shrugged it off. If she said she was fine, then she must of been fine. Fred sat down on the hill and picked at the weeds around him. He motioned for Hermione to come and sit with him. Grimmauld didn't look much better from this view...

Fred squinted at the moving figures in the garden...Ginny and Harry. Fred pulled his wand out and stood back up. "Watch this..." And Fred pointed his wand at the garden and focused hard on the spell, "Accio ribbon!" Fred could just make out a blue ribbon floating his way in the distant. If he could only hear Ginny cursing now...

Tara had shown Dani where the cages for Hocus and Pocus were, followed by some minor instructions on feeding them. Dani sat on the floor, stroking Pocus and telling her all about Fawkes, while Tara moved mechanically through putting her telescope back together. Her hands were filthy and she was looking for a rag to wipe the lenses with when a knock sounded on the door. "Come in," she said tiredly.

Snape stepped in at the invitation to enter and closed the door softly behind him. He moved into the room toward Tara who was bent over her telescope, her delicate hands covered in grease. "I've been dismissed, at last," he said.

Harry pretended to be shocked when she told him she would seduce him when he deserved it. "Well, I don't think..." He started, but then watched the ribbon that was holding Ginny's hair away from her face fly out. He raised his eyebrow and looked around for someone who did it.

Hermione joined Fred, sitting on the hill that overlooked Grimmauld Place, not sure what he was going to do. "Fred!" She said, slapping him slightyl on the shoulder, though she was laughing. "That wasn't very nice..."

Tara smiled at him in greeting before gesturing helplessly with her hands at the telescope. "That wasn't so long, then, was it? I think that clinches the fact that Dumbledore is too meddlesome."

Dani piped up from her seat under the cage. "Look, Professor. This is Pocus and she's an owl. Well, of course she's an owl, but I get to take care of her. And if I do a good job, Mum might buy me a pet of my own."

Tara laughed and wiped her hair out of her eyes with dirty fingers. "Don't tell him that, Dani. Professor Snape might want to buy you a snake to really turn you over to the Slytherin side of thinking." She smiled at Snape before finally snatching up a cloth with a victorious noise. Tara rubbed viciously at the lens, trying to get the grease off.
