After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

George stopped dancing around and let Guin catch him and swat at him. He caught her hand and kissed her palm before he turned and kicked at the gargoyle statue. "You great mean thing. We have important business with Dumbledore and you won't even move for a dance like that?" He shook his head and turned back to Guin. "Maybe he's somewhere else... we can go and look?"

"I've changed my schedule for now, until someone can be found to care for Dani while I sleep and work," Tara answered as she approached the loveseat. She sat carefully next to him, wanting not to brush up against him, but the seat was too small and her leg lay flush to his. "How are you?"

When the sounds from the door subsided, Dumbledore activated the spiral staircase so that those waiting outside his gargoyle could gain entrance.

"I would be fine if I could get some peace and quiet. But, no matter where I go in this house, there's someone making a racket. I would go back to Hogwarts but, Dumbledore wanted me here. I do wish he would hurry up so that I could leave this..." Snape ranted, unable to think of a suitable name for this house full of overgrown children.

"Why don't you just hex them and get it over with?" Tara asked, a light of humor in her dark blue eyes. Dobby appeared with the tea tray, and once he had disappeared again, Tara poured Snape a cup and fixed it beofre handing it to him. "I didn't mean here... how are you about yesterday?"

Right after George spoke the staircase came down and Guin jumped up with glee. "There! Lets go up George!" Guin said with delight at accomplishing her task. She ran up the staircase with George behind her and stopped suddenly when she reached the door. Guin quietly knocked and it opened by herself. She breathed in and walked inside while clinging to George's hand. "Professor Dumbledore?!" Guin squeaked as she noticed the Professor with a little girl.

Snape gratefully took the cup from Tara and brought it to his lips while she asked him about yesterday. "I'm fine," he said, quickly before taking another small sip of tea. "How do you know what happened yesterday? I didn't think that was the sort of thing Dumbledore discussed with you."

"Hello Miss Woods, Mr. Weasley. And to what do I owe the pleasure of your lovely presence this morning?" he smiled, taking a seat behind his desk and gesturing for the two newcomers to have a seat. He glanced over and saw Danika was still being entertained by Fawkes who was now displaying his plummage and impressive wingspan.

Tara shrugged. "Dumbledore told me a bit about it and suggested I make a point of coming to see you. He worries about you, you know, but he also is wise enough to know you won't accept his concern." She leaned against him a bit. "You're so stubborn, Severus."

He was going to respond with another snide remark (he just wasn't in the mood to be having this discussion) when she leaned against. Snape snorted at her comment about him being stubborn but, placed his hand over the hand she had resting upon her leg. "I'm glad you came," he whispered, as if it almost pained him to admit it.

George spoke up first, knowing that he was on better terms with the Headmaster. "Guin has been ordered back to work, sir. She will lose her job if she doesn't return, but I... we don't want her to go back and get hurt or worse by some roaming Death Eaters." He levelled a glance at Dumbledore, than looked at the little girl who had finally noticed them and come wandering over to sit on the chair by Dumbledore's desk. "If she has to go, I'm going to go with her."

Tara turned over her hand under his and relished the feeling of his palm against hers before she curled her fingers with his. There were a million emotions she was feeling, but her hand anchored to his hand was like a calming beacon in a storm. She simply focused on the way her small fingers lay across his long, aristocratic hands.

"I had to come," she finally said, still watching the way their hands sat on her leg. She was surprised he let her hold onto his hand like that. "I'll always come."

Fred stopped ascending higher at Hermione's request, and just set his pace at a nice slow speed for her. He still had his hand over hers, and he rubbed his thumb over the top of her hand. She had the smoothest hands he'd ever felt..

They hadn't gone very far, and the yard was still close by when Fred leaned back and put his face close to hers and asked, "You want to steer for a while?"

He wasn't normally the type to hold hands but, there was something calming about having Tara's diminuitive hand lying in his own, her small fingers entwined with his own. "I suppose our little plan has failed," Snape quietly observed; he couldn't deny that he was glad that it had.

Tara pulled her hand from his and stared at him with stubborness and fear in her eyes. She wasn't ready to concede, not until she knew she wasn't alone in whatever it was she kept denying she felt. "What do you mean?" Perhaps there was some other plan she wasn't thinking of.

"I'll always come," he repeated her words to her. "Doesn't sound very professional, though I suppose I could take it that way. But..."

Snape turned and took her hand in his. "This, most definitely is no professional relationship with a physical fling on the side," he said, placing her hand back down again.

Tara hung her head and put her hands in her lap. She's failed, letting her feelings overcome her sense and logic when she thought she'd be able to tame them. "I'm sorry, Severus." She couldn't possibly be expected to say what she was sorry for, but hopefully he'd understand that she hadn't meant to feel anything for him. It was a mistake.

"Are you sure about that?" he asked, wondering if it would be appropriate to just take her in his arms. "Regardless, I would not want to put you or your daughter in danger, though I must admit that my own feelings have strayed from the path we had set out upon."

"Well, I guess I can help you with that..." Harry said to Ginny. "But... maybe I'll only help if you keep up this talk of seduction like you did before. I like that." He grinned and looked at Ginny.

Hermione had gone back to admiring the freckles on Fred's neck when she was surprised to find Fred's face extremely close to hers and he had said something... "Hmm? Oh, no... I don't think I'd like to steer... I'm not a great with broomsticks..." She studied his face, amazed at how close they were.

Tara looked on him in wonderment. "You... really?" She had been so afraid of being alone in whatever they were doing that she'd never considered he might be feeling more than lust as well. She gave a sheepish sort of smile and put her hand on his face. "Of course I'm concerned about Dani, but I think the danger might be worth it." She bit her lip.

Ginny slapped Harry playfully on the chest and wrinkled her nose at him. "I've already promised to seduce you. What more could you want?"

"And does Miss Woods have something to say about all this?" Dumbledore responded with a smile.

He wasn't sure how to respond. He'd been thinking about this for a while now and hadn't been able to convince his feelings to leave him alone so that he could take the most rational course of action: stay alone. "I'm not certain you realize exactly what the danger is," he responded, thinking about what had happened yesterday.

Guin smiled at George, he wanted to go with her. Turning to Dumbledore she spoke,"I don't want to lose my job sir." Guin had a downcasted face. "I need it, and I love it. But I totally understand if you don't let me go." Guin sighed and sat in the arm chair in his office.

"Well, if you want to go, I will not stop you. I don't believe you would be in much danger in Egypt though, we would miss having you around here. But, what will you be doing with this young man, here," he said, poking a finger toward George. "It seems he has his heart set on following you. I'm not sure if you want him to go or not but, I'd hate to see half of my new team of specialists leave."

Part of Tara wanted Snape to scare her away. She wanted him to tell her things so awful that her logic would kick in and she would be able to walk away from him. "Then tell me what the danger is. Don't sugarcoat it. Tell me what can happen to me, to you, and to Dani."

"Specialists?" George repeated. He straightened up, although he had no idea what Dumbledore was referring to. "What do you mean by specialist?" He wanted to go with Guin. He needed to... but what if Dumbledore was finally offering him the chance to do something meaningful in the war?

"I wish I could say that the worst would be death," Snape said. "If I was uncovered... Torture would be certain. Even if I wasn't uncovered, if you happened to become a target for whatever reason..."

Images of his latest victim flashed through his mind and he shook his head.

Dumbledore's eyes twinkled in amusement. "Specialists," he repeated. "Surely you don't think the skills of your brother or yourself have slipped my notice. And if you can't think of what I mean by specialists, perhaps you aren't as clever as I once thought you to be, Mr. Weasley."

"Well, if George is needed her sir and since you said Egypt would be safe..." Guin started as she give a darted look at George, "then I could just go alone." She knew George would be a bit upset but there was no point in dragging him to Egypt if he could be of use here in the Order. And personally, in Egypt George would just distract her from her job and she needed to keep her job right now. "I can handle myself sir, I have been for the past years and you know that." She added with a shrug. "I just really need to go, alone or not."
