After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Guin stared at him. "You told me to tell you when you beinga git right?! Well, your being a total git George!" Guin said half joking and half seriously. "Of course I can date whomever I want, thats why hopefully if you still like me we'd be dating." She said trying to laugh but his face was to serious for her to even laugh anymore. "There isn't anyone here I want to be with romantically or emotionally. And I don't plan on dating anyone else thank you very much." Guin said as she walked into her tent and began unpacking.

George was really being a git. What, did he not like her now?! Guin took who she kissed very seriously. But then again, she did tend to put her heart on her sleeve far to much. George wasn't right tho. It would work out, it had to. She felt something different for George. Of course they hadn't really known each other that well for long but she could feel something special develope. Would another relationship so meaningful to her get ruined because of her passion for her work again?! Guin loved her job dearly and couldn't bare if she lost either. Her heart had already been broken once before, could she stand it if it happened again?

"Well, if you don't want to make this work then thats fine with me." Guin said with her back turned from him as she kneeled down and dug her things out of her trunk. "I thought you were different." Guin whispered in a low voice as she saw a glint of glass underneath her cot. An old picture...

"It's in Manchester," Tonks replied as they stepped intot he dining area and she was accosted by her uncle who proceeded to hug both her and Ginny. "Well, now that we've all met... Ginny this is my Uncle Joe. Uncle Joe, this is my friend Ginny and I don't think she's ever had pizza before."

George sighed and came back into the tent, kneeling beside Guin. "I'm not saying I don't want to try, Guin. I'm saying... I'm saying I don't want to make you choose between caring about me and the job you love, and I don't know how we can be together when we're so far apart. I already can't stand the thought of being away from you, and I've only just found you. Imagine how I'll feel when I can't be with you and I..." He didn't want to tread any farther down that road, and he noticed her drawing out a picture from her belongings.

Ginny was grabbed up into a hug by a huge man in an apron. She didn't have time to think before she was hustled to a table that reminded her of a Muggle movie she'd seen in Muggle studies, complete with red-checked table cloth and squatty candles. "Do you have gummy bears, Uncle Joe?"

Guin sighed as her eyes lingered at the picture under her cot. She leaned on George, "But would you be able to stand it if we didn't even try?!" Guin asked in a pleading sort of way as she stared in his eyes. "I'm not as strong as I seem..." She whispered. "If I push you away don't let me George, ok?! I've done that before and I don't think I could live with myself if anything happened again." Guin glanced at the hint of glass again and then at George as he stared at her a bit confused.

He laughed at Ginny's question before replying, "I'm not sure they'll go well on pizza but, I'm sure we can find some for you."

"Aw... come on, I'll bet they'll be interesting but, just in case, why don't you just send us a plain one, too," Tonks replied. "Oh, and a couple of cokes would be good, too."

George leaned so that his forehead touched Guin's and closed his eyes. He was afraid of the vulnerability he saw there. With the hand not supporting his weight while he knelt, George touched the side of her face with just his fingertips. "If you invite me to care about you and if we start this, there is nothing you'll be able to do to push me away. I'm a git and a bit of an idiot, but I know a good thing when I see it. And you're a great thing." He pushed back and sat on his heels, studying her intently. "What do you mean by again?" He eyed the picture that he couldn't quite see from his perch.

Ginny watched the jolly man disappear into the kitchen and took in the customers around her. They were so normal and so happy, many couples sitting close together and acting in a way that would make Ginny normally roll her eyes and crack jokes. Today it made her sigh.

"Do you miss that? Being able to be normal and in love?"

Guin blushed a bit as she smiled and then she looked at the picture again as she took it out from under her cot. It was rather dusty since she had tossed it somewhere in here room a long while after she started her job there. She blew off the dust and it revealed a rather handsome man with light blue eyes and longish blonde hair, his skin was fair and Guin was standing beside him in the pic. They were smiling and waving in the pic and Guin suddenly had an urge to throw the thing and break it but she needed to answer George's question first.

"His name is Nicholas McNeil, we dated for...a while." Guin said with a little laugh as she remembered the times with him. "He never wanted me to become an Archeologist, he just wanted me to stay home and be his little wife. But...I did love him." She added more somberly. "We grew distant and I pushed him away even more because...I really don't know why." Guin said before looking at George again and setting down the picture.

Tonks looked around and surveyed the scene before turning back to Ginny and shrugged. "This isn't really normal for me. I grew up in the wizarding world and only came here for family visits since, well since we didn't bother with my mother's side of the family. As for in love... I think life is a lot easier without it."

George studied the picture. Guin looked happy in it, and George wondered if it was in his power to make her that happy himself. He took in the handsome young man and Guin's fair beauty that made them a striking couple. George was just kind of goofy looking, but he'd never really minded it before. In any number of ways, he might not measure up, but that didn't matter if... "You said you loved him. Do you still love him?" His voice was quiet.

"I wasn't talking about the Muggleness of it," Ginny shrugged. "That isn't normal to me, either. I grew up in the Burrow, and I know you've been to visit us there. It's... busy." She struggled to explain what she meant. "I mean normal in the way that they can go out in public and enjoy each other's company and not have to worry about danger or being found and hurt. About how they can live and make plans and worry about silly things because their future is stretched out ahead of them without a dark cloud like Voldemort hanging over their heads."

She shrugged and smoothed out the tablecloth in front of her. "And really, Tonks... I'm surprised you're so against love. What's made you that way?"

"Do I...Do I still love him?!" Guin thought over the question in her mind and glanced over at the pic again. "Once upon a time I would've said yes. But were two totally different people now and..." Guin shrugged. This was something Guin had pushed far away from her mind as she had buried herself in her work to forget about it. Now suddenly she was reminded of it, did she still love him?! She stared at George, "No..." She could've been lying, but she hadn't really given it much thought. Guin had a feeling though that soon Nick would be wiped clean from her mind.

"Nothing," she quickly brushed off the last question. "The only reason they live like that is becaue they don't know the danger they are in. Blissfully unaware is what they are. But, your life doesn't have to be full fear, Ginny. Just because you have to be careful, doesn't mean you can't live life."

George's heart leapt when Guin said no, but she herself didn't look very convinced of her words. It made him uncomfortable to be thinking about Guin in terms of the future, especially since he and Fred had always planned their future together. And it never included wives or lovers. George leaned foward again, this time capturing Guin's mouth in a heated kiss that left her quite breathless. "I have to get back."

"And how exactly does one live life when one is forced to live in a house heavy with Dark magicks, one is unable to leave for work or fun, and one is in love with target number one of the Darkest Wizard of all time?" She sighed. "I think I'll move to the Continent and become some rich Wizard's mistress," she finally said sarcastically.

Guin looked sad suddenly as she regained her breath right after George quickly took it all way in their kiss. "Must you?!" She asked quietly with a pout. "Alright..." Guin added as she lazily got up and he quickly joined her. "I really will miss you George, please visit." She said with a pleading look in her eyes. Guin kissed him gently on the lips and stared at him.

George pulled Guin in close, kissing her neck and breathing in the scent of her. He wanted to remember this moment - how she felt in his arms and her sweet, spicy scent and how much he wanted to be with her - so that he could have something beautiful and good to hold onto in wahtever Dumbledore had in mind for him. "I'll be back," George finally said, his voice husky.

Guin grinned at George's expression. "And you know where I'll be." She said kissing him again then pushed him back playfully. "Now get going before I make you stay." Guin teased as her eyes twinkled. She was gonna miss him. Hopefully her work could fill the void of him not being there, but Guin had a feeling that was going to be quite hard. In such a little space of time George had managed to sweep her to him. Sighing she quickly kissed him again before motioning to the edge of her tent with a smile.

George grinned. "I can take a hint, woman. I'm leaving." He scooped up the portkey and moved to the edge of the tent. At the last moment, he turned and pulled off his left shoe. Tossing it to Guin, he winked. "Something to remember me by." He stepped to her trunk and reached in, grabbing the nearest article of clothing. "And something for me to remember you by. You'll get it back when I visit next.... you better hope its soon." He turned and exited the tent.

Guin caught George's shoe and watched as he stole a piece of her clothing and left. "Hey! Thats my underwear mister!" Guin yelled as she looked out her tent and he was gone. Guin laughed and stared at the shoe. "He better give me my undies back when he gets here. Oh he's going to pay." Guin said in a fit of giggles and a grin on her face as she put Georges shoe on top of her trunk and admired it. She smiled and went back to unpacking.

"Hmmm... I'm not sure I could be a rich wizard's mistress. I'm not one to be kept, I'd rather be working. But, seriously Ginny, I really don't think Dumbledore or anyone else would have a problem with you working at the Ministry, even if you were staying you-know-where," Tonks replied and clapped her hands together as the pizzas came. The smaller one had melted gummy bears on top which made the pizza quite colorful while the plain pizza just looked... plain. Tonks leaned close to the pizzas and took a big whiff of the scent. "Mmmmm... I haven't had one of these in a while, thanks Uncle Joe."

George reappeared outside of Grimmauld Place with a smile on his face. He quickly entered the house, and once he was safe inside, he pulled the piece of clothing from his pocket, where he had stuffed it. He turned bright red when he realized exactly what he had grabbed from his trunk. What an idiot! Why was it always about him stealing Guin's underwear? He quickly stuffed it back into his pocket and entered the kitchen to find Harry, looking rather glum.

Ginny clapped her hands and felt joy for the first time in a long time. The pizza looked so festive. She took a big steaming bite of a piece, chewing slowly before she made a face. "It's good but... weird. I bet this is one of those non-gummy bear foods." She laughed and took another bite. "I like it. A lot."

Tonks wanted to wait for Ginny's reaction before she tucked in, herself and she laughed at Ginny's comments. "I wasn't sure if your tastes might be a bit different than mine but, I'm glad you like it," she said, grabbing a slice of plain pizza. "Pizza is one of those comfort foods; it has this power to make everything fade away for a while."

Ginny ate with gusto. "Its really good." She sipped the Coke, and the bubbles made her sneeze. Twice. "Its like butterbeer, but fizzier." She took another sip and giggled. "Do we have time to pick up some clothes while we're out? I didn't bring any with me."

"I'm sure that can be arranged, there's a bunch of shops along this street and I can get some muggle money from my Uncle and we can pay him back," Tonks replied, thoroughly enjoying her pizza and the company. She and Ginny seemed to have hit it off pretty well when they first met in Grimmauld Place a few years ago and they still had a pretty good repoire. Perhaps it would be healthier for the both of them to share a flat.

Harry looked up as he heard someone enter the room. It was George. "Hi George.... you haven't seen Ginny by any chance have you?" He asked. Now he was getting worried about her whereabouts, she had been gone for quite awhile.
