After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Fred had just stuck his around the door to Ginny's room when he heard the loud crack. "Did you hear that? I think she is trying to avoid us. How rude. We seriously need to think it through before hiring anymore help." Fred turned to leave Ginny's flat and head back to his own, 'food' being the only thing on his mind now. He waved his wand and conjured up a flowery apron and put it on as he reapproached his own kitchen and stove. He put on the femine apron and put on a remarkable impersonation of his mother as he lifted it out of the oven and put it on the table. "Sit George dear and eat!" He then pulled out a chair and sat George then took a seat opposite him. "Can you believe I made this? It was hardly nothing. And mother complains about cooking.....all you have to do is throw stuff in a pan. Maybe I'm in the wrong career after all..."

George ate a huge piece of the strange concoction that Fred had made, marveling that it actually tasted as it should. "Its a fluke, Fred. Remeber the time you caught that pot of water on fire? I wouldn't change careers just yet. You're better off marrying someone who can cook. Or getting a house elf." He grabbed another piece and dug in. "Now," he asked through a full mouth, "what's the plan? How shall we mess with the life of our wayward employee today?"

Ginny was pleased with herself when she reappeared at the apparition point in Flourish and Blotts. She had escaped, and now she had a little time to herself before she needed to return and look contrite. She wandered the aisles of the store, basking in being an adult and not having to worry about anyone else's time constraints. Of course, she didn't have any money, but she'd gotten used to window shopping as a sport while growing up.

Luna had spent nearly the entire night at the Ministry and only awaken when she heard a crack from the living room. Yawning, she stretched and threw the covers off from herself. Hopping up, she took a quick shower and magicked herself ready for the day. She closed the door to the apartment when she suddenly realized she had forgotten to eat breakfast. Sighing, she walked back in the door, grabbed something from the cupboard, and sat down to eat at the kitchen table.

Guin had slept in what seemed to be Bill's younger sisters room after a long confussing trip back. She hadn't talked to Harry at all and Mrs. Weasley didn't say much either except asking her all about Egypt and what she had done and was doing there. After a nice breakfast courtesy of Mrs.Weasley, Guin decided a walk through Diagon Alley would be good so she said farewell and promised she'd be back.

Walking around Guin felt so much at home again. All the children running around looking through the windows and at the new brand of brooms, it was everything she missed.

Harry was just about to enter Flourish and Blotts to see of they had gotten any new Quidditch books when he saw a familiar face. It was Guin. She was smiling and he smiled back at her as he approached her. "Hello, Guin... what are you doing here?" He asked, trying to make some sort of conversation.

Guin was wandering around when Harry seemed to have popped up and was right in front of him. "Oh hello Harry." Guin smiled, "Well I've been away for so long I thought I'd come and esplore a bit. I've missed this place so much." She added glancing up and around the stores. "So what are you doing? A bit of shopping I would guess."

"...Yes..." Harry said. It was partially true. He had originally come hoping to see Ginny, but he had ended up casually strolling through a few stores. "Shopping... it's good." He looked around, trying to find something to comment on that may start a conversation, but, unluckily, found nothing, and was left standing there, looking like an awkward idiot.

Guin looked at Harry confussed, his body language was all over the place. "Yeah it is..." She managed to say after trying to figure out what to say. Guin was still wondering what was up with Harry and why all of a sudden he wasn't engaged so she thought of a way. "Harry do mind accompanying me around the stores?" Guin asked.

Harry stared blankly at Guin. Why did she want him to walk around Diagon Alley with her? He assumed it was because she was all alone and hadn't been there in a long time. That made perfect sense. He wasn't doing anything else at the moment, and having some company didn't sound so bad. "Alright," he said with a smile, "I'd be glad to."

After going out to breakfast at a small cafe on Hogsmeade, Hermione apprated to Diagon Alley. She had a mission in mind. She needed to talk to George about their little plan for Harry and Ginny. She made her way, quickly to the twins' store, oblivious to people around her. Harry had informed her that Fred and George were taking Ginny on a little journey for three days for supplies, and today was the day they got back. Hermione entered the store, peeking into the back room to check if George was around.

Ginny paged through a Quidditch text near the front window, and she was more than pleased to see Harry walking up to the front of the store. Moving towards the doors, Ginny's progress was halted by the sight of a girl who seemed vaguely familiar approach Harry and start to converse with him in a way that showed they knew each other fairly well. The girl made Ginny feel insignificant, being taller and pretty in a bronzed and bold way. Finally, Harry and the girl moved off, clearly walking together, and Ginny tried to resist the urge to follow after them. She even went so far as to pick up a random book and try to read. Only a few moments later, she exited the store and looked for the pair.

The bell went off that indicated the door downstairs had been opened. The twins never stood on ceremony, and anyone who came in clearly knew the store was closed based on the sign. "We're up here," George shouted, glad he had forgotten to close the flat door.

Hermione heard a voice from upstairs, so she assumed they knew it was her, or someone who would know them fairly well. She traveled up the steps and cautiously walked into the twins' flat. They were eating. "Hi..." She said, looking at George, "I just wanted to talk to you.. I can come back later, if you like."

"Mmm, no, 'Mi-nee," George answered as he pushed a plate of pie towards the girl. "Have some of Fred's first baking success. Pull up a chair or a cushion or something." He watched her hesitantly accept her offer. "Now, what's up, pet?"

Hermione smiled as she sat down across from George. "Well, I just wanted to talk to you about our little plan... you know..." She said. "I wanted to know if there have been any...er... developments? I haven't noticed anything, of course, or I would have told you." She thought maybe Ginny had mentioned something about how she felt about Harry when they were gone.

George grinned wolfishly at her and pushed away his now-empty plate. "Developments would be an understatement, pet. He's been kissing our little Ginny. At least once, we suspect twice. He told her he loves her. I don't know what he plans to do about Elizabeth, but Fred and I are a bit... disappointed that Harry is juggling two women. It wouldn't be so bad if one of them weren't Ginny. We might have to hex his kneecaps off until he straightens it all out."

Hermione was more than surprised. "They were kissing? When? Where? Why?" She was wondering when this happend and why Harry hadn't shared anyof this with her. They were, after all, best friends. She was a little disappointed, but reasoned that he had his right to privacy... especially with these type things. "What kind of kiss?" She asked, a little uneasily.

"Goodness, 'Mione, I had no idea you had such voyeuristic tendencies. It was your generic, all passion-consuming kiss. I'm not going to give you a play-by-play, because, personally, it disgusts me to THINK about my sister kissing someone, especially someone who is engaged." As an afterthought, he added, "But anytime you want a reenactment, pet, you let me know." He meant it in good humor, although Hermione was a pretty witch and George speculated as to why Ron had never made his move.

Hermione's cheeks turned a light red, but she laughed a little at George's playful personality, "I'll be sure to do that, George." Now she thought about Harry and Ginny again. Had they kissed many times before? They couldn't have been doing it too long, because Ginny had just gotten back and Harry was engaged. "What about Elizabeth? I thought Harry was better than that... two women?"

Guin smiled and walked off with Harry. "Hmmm do you mind if you go to Florean Fortescue's? I can't remember the last time I've had a Florean Fortescue's treat! Oh I hope you don't mind Harry?" Guin asked gleefully as she turned in a bit of a jump to see his answer.

"I told you everything I know, Mione. And I really wish we could move away from talking about the detestable kiss into talking about how we're going to continue to insure that all goes well for Ginny and Harry. Because, to be honest, now that his lips have touched hers, I don't really want his lips to ever touch anyone else's. I will personally hex them off if they do."

Harry grinned. Guin was certainly seeming... playful at the moment. It was a little intriguing to Harry. "I'd like to oget some ice cream with you, Guin," Harry said, remembering briefly when he had had ice cream with Ginny.

Hermione laughed, then said, "Well, I think maybe we should talk to them both. Communication is the biggest part of this. If not everyone can communicate freely, things will get confused and intertwined." She then added with a smile, "Especially if people have their lips hexed off."

Guin smiled at Harry and walked over to Fortescue's. Weirdly enough Guin felt like a scool girl, she had missed everything in Egypt and even tho they had ice cream there nothing was as good as back home. "Hmm I wonder if they have any new flavours." Guin said airly as she walked in.

"Well," Harry said, as the cool air of the building engulfed them, "You can look now." He pointed to the board behind the counter which was just writing on itself the special of the day. "What would you like? I'll pay," He offered.

Ginny scowled as Harry escorted the tan girl inside the ice cream parlor. That's where he had taken her on what she kind of felt was their first date, and now he was taking this girl? That stung. Not to mention that from the way he was digging in his pocket, it was clear Harry was buying. Were they on a date? Ginny tried not to jump to any conclusions, but it wasn't looking good. Maybe Ginny was just one in a line of girls, and poor Elizabeth would never know.

Guin glanced at the floating board and walked around looking at the different kinds of flavours. "Oh thats sweet of you Harry thanks!" She said before disappearing in front of a case of different ice creams. Smiling Guin turned back to Harry, "I think I want Double frosted chocolate cherry almondy fudge." She said almost losing her thought, "haha yeah thats what I want." Guin giggled, "I swear I have missed all the variety, that used to be my fav. So...what will you be having Harry?"

Harry watched the girl in amusement, getting out some coins from his pocket. "I think... I'll just be having strawberry." They payed and Harry turned to Guin, "Would you like to sit inside or outside?" He asked, handing her her elaborate cone.
