After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Before Ginny cold get any farther away, Harry pulled her as close as possible and pushed his lips softly but firmly onto hers, holding her tightly, for he felt her pull back a bit. He brought his hand down from her cheek and ran it slowly through her fiery red hair that seemed to represent her personality so much. He wished, like so many other things that happned with Ginny, that he could stay like this forever.

Fred was gagging and pretending to puke with every word they said. At that moment Fred decided that love and mush was not for him and that he and George would probably live together forever and die two crazy old kooks that never got married or had children. That sounded good to him. But he straightened up when Ginny gave Harry full permission to kiss her. "George....," he whispered frantically. "We can't let them ...kiss can we?" But Fred had the distinct feeling that they were too late.

George growled. "Absolutely not." He didn't even bother to pick up the Extendable Ear, instead letting it fall at his feet. Throwing open the door to the main shop, George saw in an instant that they were already too late to stop Harry from kissing Ginny. "HARRY! You said you'd be a good boy. I warned you, and now there will be consequences."

Ginny melted into Harry's embrace as he stroked her hair. All thoughts of what a mess she was faded away as her worldly focus narrowed until only Harry kissing her was left. This was a better kiss than the one in the garden. That kiss had been hesitant and afraid and...

Ginny pulled away from Harry. Leapt away from him, actually, as George started shouting from across the shop. She tried to put some distance between them, but it was too late. They had been seen, and the looks on the twins faces made it clear they were none too pleased with what they had seen.

Fred shook his head. He was more upset with Ginny than Harry. She just gave right in...didn't mess with Harry or anything. And here Fred was thinking that Ginny was growing to be more and more like them. But Fred couldn't shake the glow that Ginny had on her face. She looked truly happy, which gave Fred all the more reason to attack Harry. "If he her hurt now....there would be "real" consequences for one Harry Potter," thought Fred. But for now, Fred would just make sure that Harry understood that he and his brother meant business. "Potter, you have crossed the line now. What exactly do you think you are doing with my little innocent sister?"

Elizabeth slept in late, after quietly going to bed the night before. She got up and dressed, then walked past the kitchen, where she heard Ron and Hermione talking, and out the back door. She needed air. Her dreams had been filled with nightmares, and she felt confined. She sat in the garden and stared at the sky.

Harry, too, pulled away from her and tried to look innocent, but they knew. The Weasley twins always knew. Whether it was the Extendable Ears or one of their later creations, Extendable Eyes, they always had a way to find out.

He wanted to tell them that she had given him persmission, and he wanted to tell them that she initiated their first kiss, but he didn't. While backing away from the two, Harry hurriedly said, "What consequences? What are you going to do to me? Ban me from ever seeing Ginny again?" He actually wished, right after he said that, that he hadn't. He didn't want to give the twins any ideas.

"Harry!!" Fred went over and knocked on his thick head. " Stop being so thick. We don't want to "ban" you from our little Ginny, but thanks for idea nonetheless. We just don't want our Ginny getting hurt, and if hurting you keeps you from hurting her, we won't hesistate. So, either you let us in on what's going on, or George and I might assume the worst and show you what consequences are. I'd hate to have to hurt you before I eat breakfast, "he said as his stomach groaned from hunger, "but a brother's got to do what a brother's got to do. So spill it."

Harry cast an anxious glance over at Ginny and hesitated speaking. "What exactly do you want to know?" He asked, stalling while glancing over at Ginny, trying to get an idea of what she wanted him to do.

Ginny stared hard at the floor, but her brothers' threats towards Harry made her angry. Her face turned pink from her anger, and, although she was much smaller than her brothers, she got in Fred's face. "Don't think you can push Harry around, Fred. He only kissed me because I told him he could. And I'm in charge of who I kiss, not you. Now, why don't you two get back to your laboratory and I'll get back to whatever I please."

George bit back a smile as the diminutive Ginny tried to intimidate Fred. Of course, Ginny was quite fierce, and if she had been poking him in the chest like she was Fred, he'd probably be sweating a bit. "Ginny, you need to calm down. I think this situation just calls for a little conversation. Like... Harry and us need to just have a sit-down, all calm-like, and reach an understanding. Of course, Charlie, Bill, and Ron will need to be there as well. What do you say, Fred?"

Harry glanced at Ginny, and actually pulled her back away from Fred. "I think if there's any need for a conversation, Ginny should be involved, and not have me outnumbered by five people who could put me in St. Mungo's within five minutes." He was starting to get irritated. He cared for Ginny and why didn't he have a right to show that?

Fred took a step back from Ginny. She was irked and Fred was getting the full force of her anger. Harry pulled her away, but that was his sister. He pulled her back and Fred put both of his hands on the outside of Ginny's arms softly and held on to her as he addressed her. "Calm down Ginn's. We're just ...well we can't have you getting hurt, now can we?" And despite Ginny's fighting it, Fred took her into a huge hug and wiped a mock tear. "We just love you Ginn's, that's all. " He let her go and ruffled her hair. " I think that would be very appropriate George. Should I go send owls now?"

"Why is this such a big deal?" That probably sounded really stupid, Harry thought. After all, he was supposed to be getting married. He used to think Fred and George's antics were funny, but now they were actually making him kind of sick. They were trying to make it seem as if Ginny was badly hurt by Harry when she wasn't.

Ron beamed and told Hermione not to bother. "I'm going to be late at work." He rushed towards the back door and waved goodbye. He went pass to the garden and there he found Elizabeth. He smiled at her and bid her farewell. He sighed and disapparated.

George pulled Ginny to his side from Fred's arms. "This is a big deal," George explained patiently, "Because you're kissing a woman who isn't your fiancee. And that woman is our little sister. I'll be frank with you, Harry.... no, okay, I prefer to be George. Anyway, there aren't many perks in being a big brother. Basically, offering useless advice and beating up men who hurt them are the only bright spots. The rest of the time you're losing jumpers to their fashion whims, hearing sob stories that have no relevance to real life, and being bloody annoyed beyond belief," he said it all in a half-fond, half-exasperated voice as he cuddled Ginny to his side.

"You gits," Ginny hissed as she pushed away from George and took a step out of all three of their reach. "I'm not some blasted human hot potato for you to pass around to your amusement." She regained control of herself and shoved her hair back from her face. In all the bustle, her ponytail had come quite loose. "Why don't you all grow up? I'm 18, not 8. When I need a second mother, I'll let you know." She dropped her dusting rag on the floor and crossed the room to leave up the stairs.

Sintara Sinistra walked quickly down the corridor towards the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, clutching a parchment scroll to her chest. No one gave her even a second glance, and she blessed her ability to be completely unnoticed for perhaps the first time in her life. Tara (Tah-ra) was a petite woman, with a slightly mousy air about her. She had a mass of chestnut hair, usually pulled back for ease in looking through telescopes, and eyes that were too large for her pointed, pale face.

She slipped quietly into the department, and no one so much as looked up at her. Breathing a sigh of relief, she peeked around the corner of one of the cubicles, her soft voice barely a breeze as she called, "Kingsley, I need you to..." Her voice trailed off as she caught sight of the dark, imposing man scowling at the interruption. "Professor," she nodded her head at Snape and tried not to take a step back from his black glare.

Snape sneered at the witch who entered the cubicle, interrupting his conversation with Shacklebolt. It wasn't until she addressed him as Professor that he recognized her as the Astronomy teacher. Working at opposite elevations in the castle, he rarely had chance to bump into her outside the rare occassions they happened to be in the Great Hall at the same time, dining at opposite ends of the table or, staff meetings. "Professor," he acknowledged her with a curt nod of his head and in a dark, silky, tone.

Snape turned his attention back to Shacklebolt, ignoring the witch in the doorway. "I think we are done here, Kingsley. I'll speak with you again, soon," he said, hinting to the next meeting of the Order though, he was sure Sinistra would know nothing of what he meant even if she was curious as to why he would be on a first name basis with the auror.

"Yes, I have those files. Until later, Severus."

With another curt bow of his head to Sinistra, Snape swept out of the cubicle, his robe billowing out behind him, as he made his way to the lift.

Tara let Snape pass without even watching him go. He actually brushed against her, and she didn't move out of the way. One of the easiest ways to maintain a low profile was to appear completely disinterested in the world around yourself. Her pale eyes drank everything in, but she gave the outward appearance of boredom and naivity. Still, she was wondering about Snape's presence in Shacklebolt's cubicle as she handed the magically sealed parchment to the man.

"These are the calculations Firenze and I have worked out so far," her soft voice made Kingsley lean forward in his seat to catch all the words. "We haven't figured much of anything out, date-wise, or at least I haven't. I'm not sure if he's being completely forthcoming, being a fatalist centaur and all," her voice was matter-of-fact and forgiving. He WAS a centaur; why should he have to go against his nature for them?

Kingsley had to lean forward in his chair to hear the soft, nearly whispering, voice of Professor Sinistra. He unrolled the parchment and began to scan the details inside. "Yes, these will prove most useful, I'm sure, Professor," he said. "However, this really isn't my area of expertise but, I know someone down in the Department of Mysteries who could help me out with this."

Kingsley rolled the parchment back up and resealed it. Looking around at his cluttered desk he sighed in exasperation. "I wouldn't dare to send this by memo and I'm afraid I'm completely swamped. Would you mind too terribly, running this down for me?" he asked, rolling the parchment across his desk with his dark hands. "If not, I can always do it later but, it would be most helpful, if you could just see this gets to the office just next to courtroom five, it's the only one there, so you should have no trouble at all in finding it."

Tara blinked calmly at him as if weighing his words. She had noticed the Department of Mysteries on Snape's name badge, and this was a perfect opportunity to see where the highly suspect Potions Master was headed. "I have no pressing engagements," she said without inflection. "If you are certain this person can be trusted, then I would have no problem delivering this to him or her." She nodded at Kingsley by way of dismissal and headed back down the hall, still not earning more than a glance from the other Aurors.

Snape stood at the lift, radiating tenseness. The doors opened as Tara got there, and she stepped in behind Snape. He looked at her expectantly, and she shrunk against the side wall. Too much unwanted attention on her. "Going down?" she said weakly.

Snape flew through the doors into the surprisingly empty lift as soon as the doors opened. They closed just as Professor Sinistra slipped through, pressing herself against the wall as if she could blend in with it, unnoticed. He stood, glaring down at her. "Which floor?" he asked.

When she told him, his gaze lingeredon her for a moment as he wondered what business she might have in the Department of Mysteries, though his face showed no outward sign of these thoughts. Snape turned his gaze away from her and extended a hand to depress the button for the correct floor, his long, pale, finger, appearing even whiter next to the black of his robes.

Harry glared angrily at the twins before walking quickly across the room to stand in front of Ginny so she couldn't move up the stairs. Right after he did this, he realized he didn't really know what to say. "Uh... I guess I'll... see you later?" He said, weakly, watching the twins who were intently watching him.

Tara studied her hands as the lift descended. They were small, but well proportioned, with well-kept nails clipped short. They were also far safer to look at than any tall, dark Potions professors. She had never really understood what the students complained about, but seeing him from across the staff table didn't do him justice. He was quite the scariest thing ever, she told herself matter-of-factly.

The lift creaked to a stop, and the doors slid open. Snape must have been feeling chivalrous, because he paused to let her go first. Tara ignored him, wanting him to go first so she could see where he entered. They both stared at each other, waiting for the other to move.

Ginny tried not to smile, but Harry was particularly adorable when he was being all awkward and confused. Maybe he didn't quite get yet that she wasn't some prize to be won or puppy to be petted, but hopefully he would. In the meantime...

Ginny cast a look over hr shoulder, daring them to stop her. Wrapping her arms around his waist, Ginny snuggled against him. "Come upstairs and I'll make you some breakfast," she said, loud enough to for the twins to hear and make sounds of protest in response.

Harry blinked in surprise, he wasn't expecting this. He almost said no from looking at the twins, but he couldn't resist Ginny. "Uh... okay... Gin..." He said a little unsurely, making sure not to make any eye contact with her brothers.

Snape made it point to avoid, if at all possible, having witches and wizards at his back. It was probably out of habit formed early on when he was a student at Hogwarts, subjected to the torturous whims of Potter and Black. He stood, staring down at her as she stared up at him. Narrowing his eyes, after several minutes, he took a side step just as the doors to the lift were about to close. Seeing that she would make no move until he left, Snape broke eye contact with her and, without a word, began to walk down the corridor.
