After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"Yeah, I'm sure you're right, Fred. You tackled her to the floor and rolled all over her... I can tell how you might think she wanted you. Besides, I know you, Fred. You don't want to settle down. Hermione is a settle-down kind of girl." George didn't wait for a response from Fred before he lifted the shrieking kettle of tea and settled it on a platter with cups and saucers. "Grab the milk and honey, Fred."

Harry nodded and picked up the pace, the two figures still on his mind. He head finished his ice cream and decided to put his arm around Ginny's waist, hugging her close to him. "I love red-heads," He said with a smile. He was still feeling uneasy about the two men, "Do you want to go back to Diagon Alley?" He asked quietly.

Tara jumped back from Snape finally, watching him struggle with his buttons. She knew how much it grated on him to need her for anything, but his hand was slippery with blood and the buttons were small. "Please," she said stepping in and crouching next to him again. Her small fingers worked deftly to unbutton the robe, which she stood to help him shrug out of. The crisp white shirt beneath was stained with a spreading red and she untucked it from his pants to lift and peer at the wound.

Her wide eyes turned to his and she bit her lip. "It IS bad," she said. "Are you sure you don't want me to get Poppy? I don't know if I can do anything to care for that, and its still bleeding."

Ginny finished her cone as well and snuggled into Harry's side. "Yes, please," she murmured, before she stopped him and went up on her toes to kiss the ice cream off the side of his mouth. "Yummy," she said with a wicked sort of smile. "Maybe I'll get strawberry next time." As the started moving again, she peered back and realized that the men were only about 10 feet behind them.

"I never said anything about settling down, you starky dork. I was just telling you what happend..that's what brother's do in case you forgot..."But Fred wasn't completely sure George was listening. Fred did as George said and grabbed the honey and milk and set it down in the middle of the table. "It's stuffy in here don't you think? Wait, I don't care what you think, cuz this is my flat and I'm hot. "Fred went over to the same window he had seen Harry from earlier in the day and swung it open. He peered down and was about to go and take a seat back with the others when he spotted Guin coming out of a shop. "GUIN!!" Fred yelled, hanging out of the window waving at her. "Come on up, we're having tea! What do you say?"

Harry smiled, feeling her lips at the side of his, but his mood changed when he saw the two people following them. He looked back at them, willing himself not to do or say anything. "Come on, Gin..." Harry said, quickening his pace again, so now that it was almost a jog. They were almost back at the Leaky Cauldron, Harry hoped they would make it back safe.

Guin had just been leaving Flourish and Blotts with a few quills and such when she suddenly heard her name. Looking around she suddenly saw Fred's head sticking out a window, "Dear my.." Guin whispered to herself as she came closer to his shop. "Tea? I dunno...I thought I would head back to The Burrow, I'm sure your mom is wondering when I'd be back." Guin wasn't to sure if she wanted to stay, she might end up poking them again.

Snape was more than surprised when she knelt back down and helped him out of his robe and then proceeded to lift his shirt and peer at his wound. He looked down and watched as the blood seeped out. It was worse than he had initially thought it was, but the blood was slowly clotting. If he didn't move too much, it should seal itself enough, with the help of his potions, so that he could get Poppy to look at it in the morning.

"I wake her far too often to bother her with something as trivial as this," he said, forgetting that it was Sinistra, not Minerva, whom he was talking with. "It's almost stopped and I've got a potion to help keep it closed until it can be properly healed."

Snape moved toward the sink, accepting Sinistra's offer of walking assistance, this time. As he stretched his arm up to grab for a washcloth, he felt the wound separating again and decided not to bother with the towel for now. Placing the cloth in the sink, he ran the tap, and attempted to wring out the cloth one handed so that he could clean the wound before applying the potion.

Ginny and Harry burst through the door of the Leaky Cauldron, both a bit out of breath. Ginny turned to watch the two men continue on down the street, apparently not chasing them afterall. She laughed at herself for being foolish and snuggled back up to Harry. "That was fun. We should do it more often. Good exercise."

"Why must you insist on being so stubborn?" Tara took the towel from his hand and wrung it out, ignoring his other words for now and planning on pouring over them later. Her eyes blazed with a bit of temper, something that was unusual for Tara. She was a passionate woman in many ways, but usually she kept her emotions to herself. "I'm here and you won't even let me help you fully."

She marched back to the bed, almost dragging the poor man with him and settled him back into his chair. Despite her impatience with him, Tara used utmost care to unbutton his white shirt to better bare his wound. She dabbed carefully at it, trying not to hurt him but knowing she needed to get it clean.

"The Burrow?? Guin you are drunker than I was! You don't live at the Burrow..George and I used to live at the Burrow. Come on up though Guin..I'll go down and unlock the door for you." And before she could argue otherwise Fred was pulling himself up out of the window. "Well, make room for one more! George how did we get so popular?"He said as he reached the stairs. He took the stairs two at a time and then walked over to the door and stuck his head out again. "Well? Come on then! Evenyone's waiting!" Fred went out and steered her through the doors of the shop and towards the steps.

Harry nodded, breathing a little heavily. What had just happened made him remember what Mr. Weasley said about not going out alone. Well, he hadn't been alone, he had been with Ginny. He didn't want to get Ginny involved in anything that was threatening his life at all, though. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, messing it up properly. "Listen, Gin... do you want to go somewhere more private? We can go back to my flat if you want."

The normally quiet woman was turning out to be more forceful than he ever would have thought she could be. He did as she instructed, too tired to put up more of a fight. She unbuttoned his shirt and carefully began to clean the wound. He refrained from wincing, the pain was minor compared to what he had suffered in the past. "Don't worry about hurting me," he said, as he saw her hesitate a bit.

While she worked, he leaned his head back, closing his eyes and keeping his breathing steady. "I didn't realize astronomy required a knowledge of first aid," he said, wondering why on earth he desired to break the silence.

Guin was about to say that she had slept there for the night and was staying there but then before she knew it Fred had run down and grabbed her pushing her up th e stairs and into their loft. As soon as Guin was brought up she turned to Fred, "Before you seized me and pushed me away I was gonna say that I was staying at the Burrow..." Guin went to sit by Hermione and Luna , "hello, been brought for tea."She said with a smile then gave Fred a look.

Hermione waved,"Hello," she said to Guin as she sat down next to her. Hermione took some tea, added what she wanted, and took a sip. It was okay, for one of the twins' concoctions.

Ginny nodded eagerly, wondering at the look on Harry's face. He seemed so unhappy all of a sudden and she wanted to wipe the lines from his face. "I've never seen your flat before, Harry. Is it nearby?" She let Harry lead her back to Diagon Alley, his pace brisk.

Tara raised her eyes to Snape's face, noting the creases from pain and fatigue. She continued to the clean the wound as she answered his question. "Well, I was apprenticing as a Mediwitch before I decided to pursue Astronomy. I actually only took one course before I..." she bit back a smile, "found that I didn't like blood." The wound was clean and she sat back on her heels. "Of course, one can find ways to be useful even in a task that seems as useless as star-gazing. And my one course comes in handy when the children get hurt in the tower."

George summoned a cup from the counter and poured a cup for Guin as well. "Did you get all your shopping done?" he asked, keeping his eye on Fred's antics.

Luna found herself drifting off a bit again when she was brought out of her daze by Guin sitting down at the table. She gave a small laugh just before George poured Guin her tea, "Together again. Hello, Guin."

He wondered why, if she didn't like blood, was she bothering to help him with his wound. He was capable of tending that by himself. "You don't have to do this. You've been more than helpful in taking care of the arm," he said, reaching for the correct potion.

"I'm not sure you can be trusted to get yourself properly healed," Tara teased gently, then wondered if teasing Professor Snape was appropriate. Nothing he had said so far indicated that he had much of a sense of humor, and she didn't want him to misunderstand and think she was mocking him.

"I don't mind staying," she amended finally. "And its really the blood of strangers that bothers me, not the blood of someone I... know. Anyway, are there any other wounds you want me to take a look at?"

Harry could tell Ginny was disappointed, worried even. "It's not too far... just a little while away from the alley, but too far to walk. We can apparate." The two of them apparated to Harry's flat. When they were there, Harry walked her over to the couch and sat down with her. "I'm sorry about that, Ginny. Your dad told me somehting the other day that has had me worried..." He hesitated, thinking about whether or not to go on.

Snape was about to tell her he was perfectly capable of healing himself and was probably more skilled than someone who had merely taken one mediwizarding course, having had much field experience. He refrained after realizing she was merely joking. He smirked at her inappropriate humor, so very typical of the rest of his colleagues.

"No," he proclaimed, handing her the potion and a cloth to administer it with. "I sustained no other injuries."

Ginny went from examining this place where Harry lived to examining him. "What is it?" she asked him solemnly, wondering about the seriousness of his expression.

Tara was silent as she shook potion out onto the cloth. It was a thick potion, and she smeared it liberally on the wound. Almost as soon as it touched his skin, the wound began to knit itself back together. Tara stared at it in awe. "What is that?" she asked outloud, looking at the potion still in its jar before she ran soft fingers over the remaining scar which was still a vibrant pink. Snape stiffened, and Tara apologized, assuming she had hurt him. "I'm sorry. I've just never seen a potion like this before. It would be invaluable to many Mediwizards."

"Well, he said something had..." Harry paused, realizing he was so caught up in what was going on with Ginny, he wasn't really sure exactly what Mr. Weasley had said. "Developed? Anyway... he said I shouldn't go out alone, and I don't want you to get hurt or anything. So I believe it to be better if we are somewhere private. At least at night."

Snape stiffened at the sensation of her fingers gliding across his skin. It didn't hurt, in fact, it felt quite pleasant. However, it wasn't an appropriate feeling; he stiffened and pushed it from his mind before it could take root. He concentrated on her question instead, unsure of how to answer. He felt strange need to be honest with her, but at the same time... "It is an ancient potion which was used by mediwizards in the past. However, modern mediwizards would be loathe to touch such a potion. Some of the ingredients are... shall we say... less than ethical," he answered.

"Yes, well," Tara pushed herself off the floor and stood uneasily before him. "Sometimes Wizards are all too hidebound by rules and laws that didn't even make sense when they were made. I am fortunate that Dumbledore has agreed..." She trailed off and smiled vaguely. "I'm fortunate that Dumbledore is more progressive than some of his contemporaries."

Tara sought to change the subject by glancing at the basket still resting by Snape. "Do you need me to help you with any other potions, Professor Snape? Perhaps a painkiller of some sort."

Ginny thought about his words before shrugging. "Call me simple, Harry, but I really don't care whether we're in or out as long as we're together. Besides, we can kill two birds with one stone and avoid the reporters as well." She grabbed up his hand and kissed his palm before pressing the hand to her cheek. "I probably ought to go pretty soon," she said without making any move to get up.

Snape looked up at her hesitation over what Dumbledore had agreed. She had certainly sparked his interest with her lack of condemnation about the potion and that partial slip. He looked over to the basket as she asked him if he needed help with any other potions. "I think the green one should suffice. I plan on taking a sleeping draft later and shouldn't like to mix a stronger potion with it," he said.

Harry kept his hand where it was, and began to stroke her cheek gently. "You don't have to leave..." He said, not exactly sure what he meant. He looked into her eyes and had the sudden urge to kiss her, yet he didn't.

Tara rose and found a clean cloth to use to apply this potion to his wound. The green liquid was oily and she smeared it on his stomach carefully at first. Once she thought it had started working, she did a more thorough job applying it, using her fingers on the ridge of his scar. "Better?" she asked, and he moved to test the wound. As he shifted his arm, Snape twinged with the pain.

"Oh, let me apply some to your arm as well," Tara insisted, not giving him a chance to respond before she had removed the sling and started rolling up the sleeve of his shirt. Her heart stopped as his Dark Mark was revealed, and she lifted her eyes to meet his. He almost seemed eager to see her response, and all her eyes expressed was sadness. She wasn't angry or disgusted, but sad that such a Wizard, such a man had been lost to the Dark. Her eyes returned to his arm, and she began to apply the potion to it without comment.
