After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Tara allowed herself the small luxury of leaning against the side of the lift, propping her tired body up. It was almost time to sleep, and her body was letting her know it needed rest. As much as she loved her job, she didn't do well during the day. It was a solitary sort of life, but fulfilling in its way. The lift slid to a stop and Tara waited for the doors to open. "See you next term, Professor Snape?" she said politely. It was one of those, "How are you, what's the weather" sort of questions.

Ginny smiled at Harry and was about to make a suggestion or two when she realized the time. "I don't know why they hired me. Honestly, this is my second day on the job and I'm yet to do anything other than some dusting." She gave him a quick kiss and pulled him towards the door. "What are you going to spend the day doing?"

"Business is business, but this is pleasure. You're quite lucky I came along, or you'd have been alone after my foolish git of a brother ran off. Now, tell me what a nice girl like you is doing on a... dismal day like this," he gestured to the cloudy sky and grinned. "Taking a bit of a breather from all the wedding planning?"

Harry was a bit disappointed, but he had to let Ginny keep her job. He wasn't going to let his wants interfere with her that. He walked with her to the door and said with a sigh, "I'm not exactly sure. We have the week off training... so... I don't know. Basically I have the rest of the week open. I was thinking about going to a Quidditch game, the Cannons are playing the Bombers on Thursday night."

As they made their way back downstairs to the shop together, Harry was thinking about what he actually could do. He did have a whole week off and hadn't realy thought about anything to actually occupy himself during it.

"More than likely," he responded as he was never entirely certain he'd still be alive to see the start of the next term. As the lift doors opened and Professor Sinistra made her way through them, Snape reached into the folds of his robes and withdrew a small vial of a shimmering yellow-orange potion. He easily overtook the exhausted witch and kept pace by her side. Looking down to his right, he held out the vial in his right hand. "I find it helps to ease the drowsiness," he said.

George groaned. "I'm so sorry, Elizabeth, but I need to run. I really hope I run into you again," he rose to his feet reluctantly. It had been a while since he'd let himself take a break, but sometimes being driven got boring. He ran back towards the shop, chastising himself for being away so long.

"That's supposed to be a really good game," Ginny agreed. "We could go together. I think I know how to get..." She trailed off when she noticed that the store was unmanned other than Dobby, who seemed to be sorting a large pile of mismatched socks. She was about to ask where the twins had gone when George came barreling into the shop. "I guess I'm not the only one shirking my responsibilities around here." She was rewarded with a glare.

Tara's hand closed around the vial before she even considered his words. She hated showing her tiredness and letting people know she couldn't handle some aspects of her job, but there was no helping it. She was what she was. "Thank you," she murmured, examining the potion for a moment before she tucked it into the folds of her robes. "I'm usually more alert, but I had a late night last night," she almost went into more detail, but it was a well-known fact that Snape was a Death Eater. Why would she share her research with him?

It seemed she wanted to say more but, she fell silent. "That is quite understandable, considering your area of expertise," he responded, watching her tuck the potion away.

He wondered what business she had at the ministry which would be so urgent as to negate a good afternoon's rest. He didn't normally indulge his idle curiosities but, for some reason, he felt compelled to ask her about what she was doing here. "Have there been some new developments with the stars?" he asked, casually, feeling it was a harmless and obvious followup to his previous statement.

Tara raised her eyes to Snape's face and smiled, lighting up her own small face with joy. "There's very seldom anything NEW when it comes to the stars, Professor Snape, but there are always more secrets for them to reveal. So I would say... yes, we have found a few more of the secrets they are willing to share with us," she smiled at him a bit mysteriously.

Snape nodded. Most people looked rather ridiculous when they smile; such a free and seemingly untamable expression. But, when Professor Sinistra smiled, it was composed and simple; an expression to actually compliment the delicate features of her face. Snape shook himself, mentally, to free himself of these purposeless and distracting thoughts. He wasn't sure what to say to that so, he merely continued his walk back to the entryhall.

Fred spent the morning up in his room, piddling with this and that, completely forgetting why he was upstairs in the first place. Eventually he got around to changing his PJ's, and as he was pulling his shirt over his head he noticed the calander. "Well....how did we manage to forget that...."he stook his head out the door and yelled, "Ginny get packed! We're leaving!!" Fred threw a bag together, put his bowler on, and went to remind George of their monthly supply run.

When Fred came storming in announcing that they had to leave, harry frowned, wondering how long they would be. Hopefully it wouldn't be too long, they were, after all, only getting supplies. He turned towards Ginny and after making sure neither of the twins were around, gave her a short kiss on her forhead and said, "I'l see you, Gin. Maybe if you get back in time, we can go to that game."

He walked from the store, wandering down Diagon Alley, until he saw the last person he wanted to come in contact with right now, Elizabeth. His stomache did another flip as he approached Florean Fortescue's where she was sitting at a table outside. He sat down across from her and attempted a smile, "Hey Elizabeth... what are you doing here?" It didn't really sound, to him, like something you might say to a person you were upposed to be marrying and spending the rest of your life with.

Ron went out of the storage room, carrying boxes of bandages and vial of healing liquids. He walked slowly and carefully as he tried to balance the boxes on his hands. His head looked around (left, right, and down) every other second if someone or something might make him fall down. During this course of action, he saw Elizabeth talking with a red head, which he recognized. It’s one of the twins.

Behind him, Seamus poked his shoulder as he settled down the boxes on aisle 7. Seamus was talking about taking care of the shop because he would go and check his ill daughter. Ron cordially accepted this. He watched Seamus exit the shoppe and stopped at Elizabeth’s table. By now, he could see the red head. It was George. He saw him stood up and ran when --

“Excuse me sir,” a customer said behind him. He turned around and walked with the customer to ask for her needs.

"I'm not going anywhere," Ginny said stubbornly as the twins packed in a whirlwind around her. "You don't need me to go. You've always done it before without me. I'm not going," she repeated, although she knew it was a battle already lost by the fact that they weren't bothering to argue with her. She turned and moved off to the stairs to pack a bag.

"There now, Ginny," George straightened from where he was writing behind the till. "That wasn't so hard. And of course we need you to come. Who else will do all the grunt work? Now we can have Dobby stay and watch the shop. Plus, your lips will be very far from Potter's lips. That's a definite perk." He watched Ginny heroically ignore him and move to her flat.

Ginny left a note for Luna telling her that she was going off on a whim with the twins. She then threw a few days clothing in a trunk, shrunk it, and trudged back downstairs, where the twins were waiting with a portkey.

Elizabeth smiled as George left - it had been a very pleasant conversation, even if it was so short. She was alone momentarily before being joined by Harry. She wondered what he was doing in Diagon Alley at this time of the morning. When he asked what she was doing here, she felt a bit taken aback - he was the one who had left early that morning, not saying where he was going - she had every right to be here as he did. But then she decided to supress the torrent of questions that she wanted to ask and just be her normal, happy self.

"Hi, Harry - are you hungry? did you want an ice-cream? I was just going to do a bit of shopping, seeing as there was no-one at home and I don't have to work this week" She smiled warmly at him.

"No, no thanks... I don't want ice cream, I just ate," Harry said, not even thinking about Elizabeth asking where he ate and with whom. He looked over her. The twins were right, she was certainly pretty, but she was nothing compared to Ginny and her the mysterious warming fire that seemed to radiate from her.

"Ok, that's fine" said Elizabeth, eating another spoonful of icecream. The strawberry icecream was delicious.

"So, what have you been up to this morning?" she asked, trying to sound casual.

He wasn't going to lie, one of the reasons being because he had to tell her sooner or later, and another of the reasons being that Elizabeth could see right past his lies. "I... went to see Ginny for awhile." He thought this at least sounded better than 'I kissed Ginny, what have you been doing?'

"Oh" said Elizabeth - she had guessed that Ginny was the person Harry had come to Diagon Alley to see, but to hear it from his mouth was a surprise.
"So -um, Ginny's working for the twins now, isn't she?"

"Yes," Harry said, surprised at her lack of suspicion. He had known women to be more suspicious than men. He felt a need to explain why he was there, "We... uh... ate."

" Oh, really? You went over there just to eat? Interesting" Elizabeth said, starting to worry slightly that Harry was not being completely forthcoming with his activities.

"What? Don't you believe we were just eating? It wasn't like we were snogging or anything," Harry said. Not only was this a blatant lie, his guilty conscience was getting the better of him.

Elizabeth knew then by Harry's sudden change in the tone of her voice, that he was lying.

"Harry, please. If you have something you need to tell me, i would rather hear it from you directly than from someone else"

She tried to look into his eyes.

Harry looked back at her as his heart started to beat what seemed somewhat irregular. He decided it was now or never. Anyway, the sooner he got this done, the sooner he could be with Ginny without feeling the least bit guilty. "Okay, Elizabeth... do you promise not to physcially harm me?"

Harry wasn't reassured, but knew he had to tell her. So he might as well start at the beginning. "Okay, well, when I told Ginny about getting married, she was kind of angry that I waited so long. I think she felt that she was being treated as a child." He paused, unsure where to pick up. "Well, I apologized and evrything was fine. Then the other day, when you and Hermione were dress shopping, I talked with Ginny... and, well, I started to feel..." He stopped.
