After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

Neville was on the floor when he heard the door ring and open, before he could even glance up he was greeted by Ginny Wealsey and Luna Lovegood, both girls where in the year behind him at Hogwarts. "Ginny, Luna....." he asked, "what are you both doing here.......what proposition?"

"Oh, Neville!" Ginny tugged on his arm and brought him to his feet. "Luna and I have got a flat over Fred and George's store. Its a great flat. It has three rooms and a bathrom and a sweet little kitchen and... well, we need someone to fill the third room because there's only two of us now. Well, of course you can see there's only two of us, but we haven't found a third person yet and..." She paused in her rambling to catch a breath and jumped right to the heart of the matter. "Is it true you're looking for a place to live? Because we want you to live with us."

Ginny was talking very fast and neville usually preferred explanations much slower to be able to completely understand them. "Ginny.....slow down......" he looked at Luna who seemed to be distracted by a rather large cactus-looking plant near the door. "You guy live here, in Diagon alley.....what about the Burrow?" he asked,

"Oh, well..." Ginny looked very uncomfortable. "I don't live at the Burrow anymore. Har... we... I just wanted to be independent. Please at least come and look at the flat. Its great. We'll let you have the biggest room," she coaxed.

Neville looked at Ginny a bit suspiciously, it wasn't like any of the Weasleys to leave the Burrow so quickly except of course Fred and George. "well, yea I'd like to come see it after work...I could come today I guess....right now I'm staying at the Leaky Cauldron but I have to be out by the end of the month." Then he looked back at Luna before asking, "are you guys working?"

Ginny looked to Luna, who still seemed to be studyinga plant. "Luna is working at the Ministry of Magic, and I'm helping my brothers in their shop," she informed him. "What time do you get off? We could have dinner at the flat."

"oh, I get off in about an hour," said Neville checking the clock, "will you meet me here or should I just meet you over there?" he asked, then looking at Luna added, "do you recognize it, it's my Mimbulus Mimbletonia that I got in my fifth year. Its really done well since I found out what it eats......."

"Just come over to the shop when you finish closing up over here," Ginny nodded in agreement, then turned to look at the plant in question. "Its so big, Neville! What DOES it eat?"

Neville's face flushed a bit at her question, "well I actually found it out as a bit of an accident, I was eating breakfast one morning, you know my favorite, pancakes, when I tipped the bottle of syrup over and some of it spilled into the pot holding my plant back when it was this tall." He indicated about the size of a dragon's egg. "Well the next morning the plant had grown several inches. I spoke with Proffesor Sprout about it and she said the syrup probably duplicated the native source of "sweet sand" it gets from the desert where it's found."

Neville agreed to meet the girls at the shop after he got off and made sure to right it down. His memory was never very good and he didn't have his rememborall any more.

"Okay then Ginny, I'll see you later....and you too Luna," he said waving at the two girls as they left the shop.

OOC: Major glompages to the Touz, i missed you sweetie

Elizabeth was reading a copy of the Daily Prophet she had found lying on the floor of the Leaky cauldron. She looked up and realised that she was alone at the table. She sort of knew that the other two had gone, but she was engrossed in an article about Gilderoy Lockhart that she hadn't responded.

Looking at her watch, she realised it was dinner time and quickly apparated back to the burrow. She walked into the kitchen and saw Harry, Hermione and Mrs Weasley.

"Hello" she said to everyone. "Sorry i'm a bit late, lost track of time"

She thought about hugging Harry, but decided to see if he would hug her first.

Luna let Ginny do the talking and just went over to look around at the plants. Neville seemed to be doing rather well in his herbology now, she had mused. Then, before she knew it, Ginny was dragging her back to the flat. As they arrived back in the store, she asked, "Are you going to work some more today? There isn't much time to make much for dinner unless we order takeout or just book up soem pasta really quick. But, I can do that by myself."

"I don't know, Luna," Ginny said with a chuckle, just as she caught sight of George counting the till. "If he hasn't fired me yet today for not doing any work, then I don't know think he will. We don't have any food yet, so I suppose we need to order carry out or raid George's kitchen. Although... if we steal his food, we probably ought to invite him to join us."

Ginny swept by the counter, telling her brother that he was invited to join them for dinner and leaving him thinking of the merits of having someone who could cook finally in the building.

Ginny grinned. "We'll see." The flat was unlocked, and Ginny and Luna helped themselves to the supplies they found. After they were fully stocked, the girls crossed the short landing at the top of the stairs and entered their own flat. Ginny pulled one of their new pots onto the stove, and heated the water magically with her wand.

Neville spent the afternoon humming to himself, his sprits were lifted at the announcment of the girls that they needed a flatmate.Nevilee stopped short of a tall ivy like vine that he was to crop, "Can I live with two girls?" he asked himself, what if they need me to fix things...or cook, maybe they don't like what I like.....", all the questions that would normally fill ones head as they contemplate new room mates. But then, he was always used to living with women. After his parents were admitted into St. Mungos, he lived with his Grandmum.

After work, Neville closed and locked up the shop. He said goodbye to Mrs. Arbor and headed back to his room at the Leaky Cauldron. He wanted to get changed and put his work clothes in the laundry for cleaning. He was carrying a pot of the Rainbow Tulips that would change to whatever color you aksed them to as a gift for the girls for even considering him.

George was about to lock up the store when Neville strolled in, carrying flowers. "Flowers? You really shouldn't have, Longbottom. I thought I told you last time. I just want to be friends," George's eyes sparkled as he finished locking the store and flipped the sign over in the window.

"I suppose you're here for dinner?" he asked, then turned towards the stairs without waiting for an affirmative. "If Ginny has inherited any of my mother's skills, we have a good meal ahead of us."

Neville laughed at George and answered, "no, they're for Ginny and Luna," he didn't tell George about being invited to move in with the girls, he wasn't too sure about how he'd feel about him living with his little sister. Neville followed George and asked along the way, "so where's Fred, I haven't seen him for ages......"

Harry watched Elizabeth walk in and greeted her with a feeble smile and a hello. He couldn't bring himself to give her a kiss or any physcial contact.

Hermione looked at Harry with distatse and then turned to Mrs, Weasley, "Do you need help with anything?" She asked, altough it appearened most had been already done.

Luna opened up the jar of Mrs. Weasley's special tomato sauce and put it in one of the new pans. "Oh, this smells delicious," she said, sticking her finger in the pot to sample it before heating it with her wand. "Oh, it is delicious."

"Fred is off buying supplies to replace those he blew up, the git. He should be back any day. And how did you know which twin I was? Even Mum had trouble with that?" George smiled good naturedly as he knocked on the door to the flat, then opened it without waiting. "I hope you are all clothed in here. Well, at least I hope that Gin is clothed. Wouldn't be appropriate for Neville here, and I'd be forced to kill him with a sharp implement."

Ginny rolled her eyes and turned back to the food. "We're almost finished here. Why don't you pull up..." She glanced at the sagging couch and the otherwise mostly empty apartment. "Pull up some floor. Or George could be a dear and go get chairs from his flat."

"George is never a dear," he explained patiently to Neville. "I really don't see him going." He started moving, however, when a meatball hit him in the side of the head. "Don't waste food, Gin. I'm going!" He hustled across the hall and returned with chairs enough for all to sit at the low counter.

"No, dear," Molly answered Hermione with a tug on the girl's curls. "Harry's been helping me. Let's go ahead and get started. Ron knows what happens when he's late for dinner. I'll save him a plate." She ignored the fact that Harry had not moved to greet his fiancee.

Neville helped George carry chairs from his flat, the food smelled delicious, he hoped the girls didn't expect him to be able to cook that well.... "Oh, well I guessed," he said to George's question about telling the twins apart, "I guess I was right, " he added laughing

Fred finished up a tiresome day of shopping throughout England. He did get all the supplies, but with extra money jingling in his pocket and George a bit ill with him, he decided to bring back some souvenirs for the old sour puss. He picked up a pair of neon bowler hats with matching canes. "We'll be absolutely fab in these," he thought. "We can wear them to the wedding." His eyes glassed over as the thought of the looks on the people's faces when Fred and George showed up one in a neon yellow bowler and then a matching neon green one. 'Brilliant' He rattled the remaining few sickles in his pocket and headed for the pub. He had a small dinner and worked on his latest idea in a corner for a bit. He would need George to smooth out the kinks, but he wanted to surprise him first off when he arrived home. He finished up and headed out. He threw the huge bag of supplies over his shoulder, tipped his new spiffing hat to the lady at the bar, and apparated back home.

He found his own flat to be be completely deserted. He put the supplies down and went to check his latest invention out in the mirror. He had conjured up a moustache for himself. He looked down right good, he thought. But the trick to it, was that it randomly and slowly changed every few minutes. First he had a thin black moustach, but within a few minutes it had changed to huge bushy beard like Hagrid's. He tried hard to come up with a witty name for it, but he needed his other half. He heard noise out of the other flat and thought for sure he heard George's loud mouth. He appartated over just as they were starting dinner with a loud pop sporting his new bowler and cane and new set of facial hair that had just changed again to a nice red goatee.

"Well well well, a party for me? George you shouldn't have old chap!" He said as he tossed him his new neon yellow bowler and mathcing cane. He reached for Ginny's hand and bowed down on one knee and kissed her hand. "My favorite sister. How absolutely spiffing it is to see you." He moved around the table. He took Longbottom in to a head lock and ruffled his hair. "Longbottom, what a pleasure it is to have you stop by." And lastly he took a seat by Luna. He stoked his now long braided brown beard and said, "Luna, how lovely of you to to come to my party." He crossed his legs in a very sophisticated manner and smiled widely at the group.

George laughed loudly at his twins antics. "Corking to see you, Gred, but I think something crawled onto your face and died." He watched as the beard changed into a small goatee. "I like this look better. The other one covered up your handsome face too much. I can see you've been busy."

Ginny rolled her eyes and made up another plate for her brother. "Fred, come eat. And take off that ridiculous thing. It'll get dirty in the food." She handed him his plate, then grabbed his arm in excitement, nearly making him drop it. "We're moving into the flat, Fred. Isn't it exciting? And George hired me to help out in the shop!"

Neville allowed himself to be wrestled around by Fred, afterall he was much taller then him and they were offering up a flat for him to stay. He watched in amazement though as Fred's red beard turn into a small goatee. He laughed with the rest of them. Well almost all of them, Luna didn't seem to be laughing , either she didn't understand the humor in facial hair that changed by itself or was just thinking off somewhere else at the moment.
