Chloe listened the whole time he spoke, waiting for him to get to the point and answer her darn question! She played nervously with his fingers, smiling down at the table as he explained about the kids growing up. That had to be a burden off of him, to know that he had successfully raised his siblings and cousin and that they were perfectly capable of taking care of themselves now. When he finally answered, she looked back up at him beaming, so happy she could have cried. "Of course I want kids, Asher! I miss being around children. If I had it my way, I would probably fill that huge house of ours with kids. Well, as long as we adopted some of them, and I didn't have to give birth to that many children. I'd have to be pregnant almost continuously for the next, like, 20 years of my life to fill that house with children we actually physically had," she said laughing a little.

Okay, so telling Asher she wanted to fill a mansion with children probably wasn't the best thing to say the first time they were having this conversation...

Erik opened the door for Allie with a smile and followed her inside. Finding an empty table he led them over to it and pulled her chair out. "I've never been here before. Wonder if it's any good. I hear people talk about it often though." As soon as she sat down he walked across and sat down as well. "How was yer mornin'?" He asked with a charming smile.

Allie, who'd been pretty much silent until now, just shrugged her shoulders in reply to what Erik and said. "I'm not really sure. I've actually never been here either. Not that I remember, at least," she said with a laugh. "I usually just end up walking to that little cafe down on the corner, but I've really always wanted to come here, too. Thank you."

She took her seat and scooted her chair a little closer to the table. For some odd reason, she was a little nervous, but she couldn't really figure out why. Maybe it was just the fact that this was a restaurant and not just a cafe. "Oh, my morning was...alright," she said, remembering how she and the Minister had sort of gotten off on the wrong foot. Sigh. "How was yours?"

"Just alright?" He inquired with a raised eyebrow. "What happened?" He asked fully interested in what she had to say. Again odd for him. "I'd have to say mine was about the same actually. Had an issue with a demonstration and Sam was turned into a Guinea Pig and started wanderin' around Level 3 runnin' from the people tryin' to catch him." He shook his head but a small smirk came to his lips, "It was rather amusin' though. He makes a cute Guinea Pig."

Erik smiled at Allie feeling a little odd. He wasn't his usual suave self and he couldn't figure out why. As the waitress come up he looked up at her barely, an odd thing for him, "Umm...lemonade please. Thanks. What'll you have Allie?"

Asher's eyes popped open a little wider and he gave a chuckle. She REALLY wanted a house full didn't she? "You do realize even I don't know how many rooms are in that place?" he asked her with a laugh. He paused and thought about it for a bit, his foot tapping on the floor at a slow pace. He looked back up at her with a grin, "I can't wait." He told her, he couldn't wait to have his own family to show the world.

"Oh!" Asher exclaimed pulling his hands from Chloe gently, "I got a letter from Kat..."He trailed, "It didn't say too terribly much, a bit like my so called cryptic notes." He told her as he stood up a little to get the folded letter from his back jean pocket. He sat back down and scooted up to the table. "She wants to know...if we" he started, putting emphases on the word 'we'. "Would be willing to be the official guardians of Teegan." He finished as he opened the letter and scooted it towards Chloe. He was surprised to find when he had first received the letter that there were only two lines of words on it, Kat was one to write novels.

Chloe tilted her head back a little and laughed at Asher's reaction. He hadn't fainted, so that was a good sign. Eyes twinkling with a warm light, she stared into the face of the man she loved most in the world. "You know I'm joking , right? Well... exaggerating. I don't want a mansion full of children, but it might be nice to have a bigger family," she said, playing with his fingers affectionately.

And then his fingers slipped out from between hers, and a letter was being thrust upon her. Her eyes scanned the small bit of text a few times before she looked up at Asher, a bit confused. "What does she mean guardians? Wynter's of age," she said, wondering if this was some Greek thing that she didn't understand. That happened a lot, not understanding Greek traditions. She was pretty sure, though, that Wynter being of age meant she didn't need a guardian, whether official or unofficial.

"I want a large family too." Asher told her, Greeks usually had large families, and he was suprised his parents only had the three of them...if they hadn't disappeared, he was sure Ziva wouldn't be the baby.

"That's what I thought too." He told her lowering his voice. "I think Kat is freaking out over something, and wants to know that Teegan will be okay whatever happens. I know the kids are already living with the prat's parents..." He trailed fuming a little at the 'cause of this mess. "They're good people." He confirmed.

Allie just shrugged a little as she tried to determine whether or not it would be in her best interest to tell Erik about her little disagreement with the Minister. On one had, it would be good to have someone to talk to about what had happened, but on the other hand, Allie didn't want to get into trouble for spreading level one business around the Ministry.

In the end, she decided to just Erik. He'd given her no reason to mistrust him, so why not? "Erm, well, the Minister and I really didn't get off on the right foot, I guess you'd say. We didn't argue or have words, but...we just don't see eye to eye on a few things," she sadly said. "I think it'll get better, though, because the more I talk with her, the more I understand that she really didn't mean any harm. I guess I may have just looked into things a little too much."

Her tone changed when Erik mentioned Sam turning into a guinea pig. Through her laughter, she managed to ask, "Sam...turned into a guinea pig? That's hilarious! I'll have to give him a hard time about that when I see him again." Of course it would be a playful hard time, since Allie could never really be mean to one of her close friends.[/I] Sigh. She supposed Sam and that crazy bunch on level three had grown on her over the past few months. "Oh, erm, sweet tea, please," she said, noticing the waitress had arrived.

Chloe gave Asher one of her special smiles as he agreed that he wanted to have a big a family. It would be nice for their kids to have lots of brothers and sisters. Their kids. That sounded so... perfect. But this conversation was apparently over now. He was in worried mode, and Chloe knew she needed to let him vent his worries. "Well, she knows that Wynter is welcome to stay with us any time for as long as she would like, and the others are welcome to come stay, too. As is she. They're all welcome whenever they need or want someplace to go," she said, nodding her head. Though she didn't particularly know why she was telling this to Asher when he knew they were welcome. Perhaps to just reaffirm that it would be okay with her?

Asher nodded his head. He knew all of this, but it was good to hear it from Chloe to reaffirm it. "And our response to this will be?" he asked nudging the letter towards her a little more. He fell silent again. "You know what I don't quite understand?" he asked her, more of a rhetorical question towards himself. "I don't understand why the Teegans would move to India and just leave their five year old with her older sister...I mean I get that they want her to grow up in her native country...but she was five. She's seen them once since then." He rambled quietly.

Chloe just looked back down at the letter as Asher talked, but she wasn't quite sure how they should answer because she still wasn't entirely sure of what they were being asked to do. Slowly, she looked up at him. "I don't really know how we're supposed to answer. I guess just say that yes, we'll take care of Wynter and protect her as much as we possibly can, and that she is welcome to stay living with us as long as she likes," she said, a bit unsure. Instead of answering his frustrations about the whole situation, though, she just reached across the table and held his hand again. That whole family was welcome to come stay with them if needed, and Chloe would do whatever she could to keep them all happy and safe.

Erik looked at Allie as she spoke about what had happened. Interesting. "Well it's hard bein' new. Yer not exactly sure how people act and stuff. I understand that. Everythin' will work out I'm sure."

Seeing her laugh at the guinea pig Sam he realized how pretty she was when she laughed. "Yeah, it was pretty amusin'. If it wasn't so serious I'd have poked more fun at him." He smirked, laughter showing in his eyes as he watched her. "So I wanted to apologize about last night. Wasn't exactly how I wanted our first date ta go. Friend in crisis and all that. Hope I didn't offend ye or anythin' by leavin' like that." He looked into her eyes and smiled a small smile.

Dacs walked into the muggle restaurant, searching quickly for somewhere to sit. She looked to her left and saw an available table. Dacs moved through the room with grace and sat down, shrugging out of her coat.
Looking around she, remembered her days, frequently haunting cafe's by herself while living in the muggle world. She saw a few ministry workers as they blended in quite accurately.

Davina strolled into the muggle cafe. She needed to get away from the muggle world for a bit. She needed to get away from work. She sighed as she looked around the muggle cafe for an available table.
Of course she blended in fine with the muggles as she seldom ever dressed in wizards clothing. Today she wore a blank crisp and professional black pants suit with a hot pink blouse under in and her hair pulled back in a neat ponytail.

She spotted Dacs and walked over. They worked at the ministry together but hardly did they ever get to talk or just hang out.
"hello old friend." She said smiling at her as she reached the table.
"Mind if I join you?"

Dacs looked up and smiled at Davina. "Not at all. Sit down. How's it going?"she said, with a smile. She hadn't had much time for friends, barely any for herself.

Davina smiled and took a seat. She smiled at the waitress that walked over.
"A Mediterranean salad and a glass of wine please." She said then turned her attention back to her friend.

"It's been..err..I've been better. My department is just not what it used to be for me. But how are you doing?"

"I'll just have coffee, french vanilla."she told the waitress.

She shrugged and said, "Same old, same old. Maintaining my queen rep, doing the job, paper work.", a smirk flitted unto her face, "There's a guy in my department that I find favor with." Shifting a bit in her chair she looked away, raking a hand through her hair.

Anna smiled a little and nodded her head in agreement. Even though she'd been born and raised in Great Britain, she'd lived in America for a large part of her adult life. Moving back to Great Britain and meeting so many new people had been an adjustment, but she was getting used to it little by little. "Yeah, you're right. I think it's just going to take some time for me to get used to working for a new boss and for the Minister to get used to having a new Senior Undersecretary," she commented.

"Poor Sam. Getting changed into a guinea pig has to be a really unusual experience. I hope he's alright," she said, a slight look of concern on her face. She figured he must be, though, if Erik could sit here and laugh about the situation now. Moving from one country to another and back again was pretty hard on Allie. She didn't even want to think how it must have been to change from a human to an animal and back again.

She waved her hand dismissively when Erik mentioned what had happened last night. "Oh, it's no big deal. I knew talking to Mackenzie was important, too," she said. She stopped and took and sip of her drink before saying anything else. "You would have to do something really awful to offend me...and that wasn't really awful."

Davina smirked. It was so like Dacs to be on about this queen business. She rolled her eyes but chuckled, but then Dacs' next comment peaked her interest and she sat up straight in her chair.
"Oooo Dacs is in like Do tell.." She leaned in closer with her elbows on the table. There was no food on the table so it wasn't bad table manners yet right?

"I said i found favor with him, I'm not announcing wedding plans."she remarked, laughing, "Well, he's a division head on my level. His name is Ben. he's pretty nice, confident and humorous. Things I can appreciate.I thought it was a nuisance at first but I've changed my mind."
Her whole demeanor changed, she wasn't as placid and glacial with her friend as she was in the office. She was even more warm and friendly talking about her new interest.

Erik smiled and took a sip of his drink as he listened to Allie. "Oh he's fine. Was right mad at his brother though." He smiled at her and looked down at the menu in front of him not sure at all what he wanted.

As she waved off his apology he shifted in his seat, "Well no...it was a big deal but yes I did need to talk to her. She was goin' ta move for no reason. Had to talk her out o' it." He smiled at her and forward in his seat slightly, "Would askin' ye out again be really awful?" He smirked and reached into his pocket, pulling out two tickets. "There's this film showin' at the cinema, kind o' a romantic comedy type thing. Tomorrow night. If ye want that is." He smiled at her and raised an eyebrow as he held the tickets up. And if she said no well...guess he would take Mackenzie since he knew she liked those and he'd already bought the tickets.

Davina chuckled and shook her head. In fact she just said she found favour, knowing Dacs, it would be a long time before she was the reason for wedding bells.
"Ben is a nice name. Is he cute?" She smirked and waggled her eyebrows. She noticed how less icy Dacs appeared and attributed it to the fact that the man's countenance was probably rubbing off on her.

It was about time she let loose and have a little fun.

Dacs giggled. She shook her head and said, "No, he's not cute.", as she leaned on her arms on the table and allowed a smile to spread across her face,"He's gorgeous. Don't tell anybody I said that."

She laughed a bit and said quietly,"I don't want to get my hopes up and he turns out to be a disappointment. That's when I'd have to hurt him physically." she remarked coolly, chuckling before she sobered a little," I don't know, he made me laugh and flirt. Dav, have you ever heard me do anything like that without sarcasm?"

Allie playfully gasped then started laughing all over again. "Wait a second. You're telling me Dan was the one who turned Sam into a guinea pig?" she asked. Unbelievable! That was so like Dan and Sam, though. There was a never dull moment with those two, that was for sure. "Unbelievable," she said again, this time out loud.[/B]

Allie smiled and shook her head. "No, it wouldn't be really awful, and I'd love to go to the movies with you," she answered. "...but, I guess I need to be honest, Erik. I---I'm not exactly looking for a relationship right now. I've just moved back, and I think it's better for me to take things slowly." She paused for a moment, took a long sip of her drink, then glanced back up at Erik.

"I just want to enjoy the dating scene for a while. I know you didn't imply or say that you wanted a relationship with me, but...I just felt like honesty was the best policy," she finished. "So...can we just enjoy dating? No strings attached?" Suddenly, Allie was blushing, but for the life of her, she couldn't figure out why. It was just an awkward conversation, and...she sort of hoped Erik would crack a joke or something and lighten the mood...

Davina raised her eyebrows. They almost disappeared off her face when she heard Dacs giggle. Wow..she wasn't sure she had ever seen that before. Strange indeed.

"Gorgeous? Oh lala Miss Dacs..nice." She looked up as the waitress came back with her salad and wine and Tori's coffee on a tray.
She put a small bit of her salad into her mouth and listened as Dacs continued speaking. She had to fight hard to not chuckle at her comment about physically hurting him. She swallowed.
"Easy there Xena Warrior Princess. I'm sure he's not out to hurt you." She looked at her friend for a while then shook her head. NO she had never seen Dacs like this ever.
"No I've never heard any of this from you without it being sarcasm." she admitted.
