When he finally answered, she looked back up at him beaming, so happy she could have cried. "Of course I want kids, Asher! I miss being around children. If I had it my way, I would probably fill that huge house of ours with kids. Well, as long as we adopted some of them, and I didn't have to give birth to that many children. I'd have to be pregnant almost continuously for the next, like, 20 years of my life to fill that house with children we actually physically had," she said laughing a little.
Okay, so telling Asher she wanted to fill a mansion with children probably wasn't the best thing to say the first time they were having this conversation...
Asher's eyes popped open a little wider and he gave a chuckle. She REALLY wanted a house full didn't she? "
You do realize even I don't know how many rooms are in that place?" he asked her with a laugh. He paused and thought about it for a bit, his foot tapping on the floor at a slow pace. He looked back up at her with a grin,
"I can't wait." He told her, he couldn't wait to have his own family to show the world.
"Oh!" Asher exclaimed pulling his hands from Chloe gently,
"I got a letter from Kat..."He trailed, "
It didn't say too terribly much, a bit like my so called cryptic notes." He told her as he stood up a little to get the folded letter from his back jean pocket. He sat back down and scooted up to the table.
"She wants to know...if we" he started, putting emphases on the word 'we'.
"Would be willing to be the official guardians of Teegan." He finished as he opened the letter and scooted it towards Chloe. He was surprised to find when he had first received the letter that there were only two lines of words on it, Kat was one to write novels.
