Lorraine saw the look Evaline gave her as she entered the room without asking. Whoops; she hadn't meant to do that and usually was not like this at all, but with the excitement and Bella and everything else, she couldn't help herself.

Gulping nervously as she finally paid more attention to Evaline's expressions when she finished her spiel, a smile spread across her face as she agreed to do it. "Thanks Evaline! I'll er... see you at Florean's," she replied, relieved that Evaline didn't say anything on her intrusion. Good thing she had known the woman for a few years now ...

"See you later... I'd stick around, but I have a few more levels to get to." She explained, as she picked the box into her arms and gave one last smile before leaving the office and heading off towards her next destination.

Miss Gilroy giggled and looked down the hallway, making sure no one was looking. Carefully she withdrew her wand from her robes pocket and levitated the small parcel into the room. It landed smoothly right atop Evaline's desk.

The small box contained a bottle of enchanted perfume and a gift card to Madam Malkin's. Miss Gilroy was unsure of what to get Evaline so she hoped the Ministry worker liked it. And with a smile she dashed out before anyone could see her.

The following memo should be distributed to your employees:

Evaline had just come back from an important meeting about the Conference when she noticed a memo on her desk. She picked it up to read ans sighed as she got down to the bottom. Following the memo's request, she went and distributed the memo too all her divisions. This was a sad day for a Ministry and she had a very ominous feeling about the future.

Chad looked over his pages of things that he had to accomplish for this report. It felt like a lot, but he was pretty sure that if he put his mind to this instead of his peanuts..well, then he would get through this unscathed. It's all a matter of staying on task. Man, where was Reagan for a good laugh when you needed her?

He walked through the department, over to where Evaline's office was. He knocked in a rhythmical fashion once he had reached it and then waited, looking over papers again.

Evaline was just dealing with matters of her confrence she had tomorrow with her staff, when a rap on the door surprised her. She was not expecting any one until later and she wondered who it was.

She continued writing her notes as she spoke to the person on the other side, "Come in." At least this time no one had rushed into her office uninvited.

Krel stepped into the reception area outside of Ms. Bass’ office dressed in a simple burgundy skirt suit. Her traveling robes were draped over her right arm which was also carrying a small black briefcase. Her coppery hair was pulled into a loose ponytail near the nape of her neck and small silver earrings graced her earlobes.

Krel took a moment to make sure her black and burgundy striped tie was straight. The area was busy. Good, Krel thought. I won't be bored. Krel was, if nothing else, a woman who liked to keep herself occupied. Idle hands led to an idle mind which led to trouble.
Krel walked up next to a young man busy knocking on the door to the office that she herself was reporting to. "Good morning," she said politely as he scanned his papers.

Chad looked up from his papers to look at the source of the new voice. "Oh, bonjour!" He gave her a friendly smile and opened his mouth to continue on, but he heard Evaline's voice from inside the office. "Oh, excuse-moi," he said politely, turning the doorknob and pushing the door open.

"Mademoiselle Bass!" he smiled as he entered into the room. "It's good to see you again...I'm getting pretty good at the knocking thing, non?" He chuckled and moved to stand in front of her desk, ruffling the papers in his hands. "We have fun times ahead...well, more me..but you are included in this fun as well. But, if you would like to talk to lady standing outside first, I won't mind."

Evaline was waiting for the person to enter, when she recognized the french words and accent. Chad was just about to walk into her office as well as someone else. She prepared herself for either happy Chad or annoying Chad, but usually it was the latter.

Finally the doornob turned and the door opened and in walked Chad with a grin on his face. She stood up and smiled back to be polite. He was in a cheery mood today, so maybe it wouldn't be that bad. "It's good to see you too Mr. Stryker," she greeted.

She still remembered the time Lance had showed him who was boss so he wouldn't be mean to Evaline, but that time it was all a joke. Now Lance was really her protector so to speak and would do anything if Chad became to annoying to her.

She nodded with a smile. He had gotten better at the knocking thing and she was greatful. "Yes you have. It's nice to see you take my pet peeves into consideration,' she replied back and then added, "Yes we do have fun times if you mean sorting out the French Ministry mess."

She then heard him say something about the other person outside her door with him and she nodded. "Well if you think your going to be a while I guess I will take the girl first." she responded and then turned to the girl. "Hello. What can I help you with?" she asked.

French? Krel was caught a bit off guard. The French were not a people she was all the familiar with. Now the Germans, well, that was a completely different story. She had lived in Germany for quite a few years when she was younger. Call it a - benefit - of having a diplomatic father.
Krel had been prepared to wait a while outside the door but quickly stepped in when she was addressed. "Pardon the intrusion," she said with a confident smile. "My employment letter instructed me to report to a Miss Bass." She pulled out the folded letter which was sporting a broken wax Ministry seal. "Did I arrive at a bad time?"

Evaline smiled at the girl and shook her head. "No No. This is perfectly fine. Mr. Stryker can wait real quick. He said it would be no problem." she replied to her.

The girl looked smart and eager to take on her job and she had reported to Evaline, which was not really required but suggested. "It's nice to meet you, Ms. Ansell," she said making sure she had the name right.

Mr. Stryker, Krel guessed, was the Frenchman standing to her left. She gave him a small nod before focusing her attention back on Ms. Bass. “Nice to meet you too, Ms. Bass,” she said smiling. “I’m sorry, but I wasn’t particularly sure who my supervisor was and therefore wasn’t certain of who I should report to this morning.” On the other hand, Ms. Bass had a nice big office with her name on the plaque outside informing all around that this was where she could be found, most of the time at least.

Evaline smiled at her and nodded. She really didn't have anyone to report to since Katie had left and they were still looking for a replacement. "Well We are currently looking for a Division Head for your division but if anything comes up either I or one of the other Division Head's will let you know." she replied to her question. "We are going to be having a brief in about an hour or so if you want to meet in the Conference room that would be great." she added hoping this helped.

Work right off the bat. How delightful. Krel’s smile got a little bit bigger. “I’d be happy to join you. An hour will give me ample time to find my desk and get settled in.” Frankly, Krel expected it to take more then a month for her to “settle in” and get comfortable with her new job. An hour would also give her more then enough time to find the conference room. Well, she hoped anyway.

“I’ll leave you to Mr. Stryker then,” she said taking a small step towards the door. “Ms. Bass, Mr. Stryker.” She gave a polite nod of the head in Mr. Stryker’s direction and then turned to exit.

Evaline smiled back at the girl who seemed more then eager to start working. She needed more of those type of people working for her. She thanked the girl, and gave her a short farewell and a nice to meet you as she walked out.

When the girl had left she then turned to Mr. Stryker and asked, "Now what may I do for you?" She was sure he was going to have a witty comment.

"Goodbye, Ms. Ansell," he smiled at her before she turned away to walk out.

Evaline nodded as Chad briefly and bluntly explained what he had to do, not at all like she imagined. She figured he'd draw out each part of the process with a few random comments in between.

Since he was so blunt she decided to be, "Right. Well as long as your not being too nosy, go ahead." she replied with a small smile.

Alicia Devereaux walked up to the Deparment head's office and knocked on the door. "Hello, are you Miss Evaline Bass?" she asked politely, her slight french accent pouring into her words. "I am here to get sorted into the International Cooperation Deparment and to see where I will be working."

Set walked in on his 2nd day. He still hadn't meet his Department head , he was hoping he would today!

Evaline was waiting for a reponse from Chad when she heard a knock on a door and then some mumbling. She wondered if the person had realized the door was still shut and that Evaline couldn't hear anything that person was saying.

"Excuse me," she spoke to Chad. She got up from her chair, went around the desk and opened the door. "Um, Miss," she started when she realized the person at the door was a girl. "You may want to talk to me inside my office. I cannot hear you when your talking to my door," she replied and waited for the girl to step inside.

As Evaline was just about to shut the door she saw a young man walking down the hall headed straight for her office too. When he finally reached her, she did not recognize him and so she asked, "Are you here to meet me too?"

"Right, that could help," Alicia laughed as she steped into the office. "Miss Bass I am Alicia Devereaux." Alicia smiled holding out her hand ready to shake her new boss's hand. "I am really pleased to meet you and to work under you." Running her free hand over her hair she pulled it out of her face, in order to make herself not look so unkempt and like she didn't care she wanted to look like she cared for her first day of work.

Evaline smiled at the young girl as she decided to leave the door open for the boy who was talking. She walked back around her desk and saw the girl's hand out and her mouth already moving.

Evaline shook the girl's hand and noticed how she smoothly moved her hair out of her face when the hand gesture was over. She seemed to want to impress Evaline. Good thinking. "It's nice to meet you too Miss Devereaux," she politely said back. "I am happy to see you are so thrilled at working for me." she added.

"Its really a pleasure." Alicia smiled and as their 'meeting' seemed to have ended she quietly and politely left the office of her Department Head. She really didn't want to make herself into a 'joke' at work...which happened all too much for her liking, but that was mainly because her last job was in the muggle world at a grocery store and it drove her insane.

Representative Avis walked into his heads office. "Ma'am, I was wondering where I would go if I wanted to become an Animargus."

Evaline watched as the girl leave and she hoped the girl wouldn't take the situation with the door to serious. It could happen to everyone. As the girl left the guy she had seen when she opened the door for the girl come in.

She looked at him and then was taken aback when he called her sir. She was clearly a girl, woman in fact, and she did not like that. "First, it would be Ma'am or Miss since I am a girl." she correctly him abruptly. She was not going to have that. "And you can't just become an Animagus. It takes time and practice. Most cannot ever master it. And there really isn't anywhere you can go in the Ministry to get any more info. The Ministry has a list of who is an Animagus, but thats about it." she told him.
