All the way down the hallway, pass the division rooms, next to the break room is the Head's Office. On the door reads:

Head Office
Department of International Magical Cooperation
Evaline Jane Bass

When you enter the first thing you notice is all the Slytherin pride. With that, Evaline has many photos of people and places on her walls. Stepping further into the office, you see the fire place that has just resently been used and then turn to the big oak desk. Behind it, sitting in a swivel chair, is Evaline Bass hard at work on the phone with another countries Magical Government or filling out paper work. When its all finished, she looks up and smiles, her teeth gleaming. Pushing her hair back she replies, "How may I help you?"

Evaline smiled as she took another sip of her tea. She swallowed her drink and then replied, "Alright your loss." She had totally forgotten about her pastry and took a bite. "These are very sweet." she commented as she put hers down and summoned a napkin.

As she wiped her hands, she eyed him. Lance was a ladies man but he never seemed this keen in getting a girl to play. "I bet after we ask a few times she'll give in," she admitted still thinking about his reputaion and then added, "Well if she doesn't have a broom then, we know we can always borrow one or two of yours."

Feeling that the pastry was to sweet, she ignored her urge for more, and nodded. "I hope so too. If it becomes this big thing, well i don't know when I'll get any sleep." she replied with a sigh. "and I still need to get those wedding invitations for my liason." she commented.

Grinning at her, he didn't feel as thought he had lost anything but she sure knew how to make very good tea. Him on the other hand wasn't too good at this and it was why he was usually drinking coffee. This was something he never had troubles making. Taking one last bite of his pastry, he couldn't agree more with her. "Yeah!! I wonder how much sugar you got in those. With only one of them you got tones of it." Chuckling as he said that, he repositioned himself.

He had a doubt that he might have alarmed her as he was almost insisting as the woman came with them. Not wanted to leave a wrong impression, he decided to add: "Don't pressure her. It's ok if she don't want." He wasn't much about begging peoples but he was still curious. "I always have few extra broom at my place so I'll be more than happy to let you have one. As long as you don't brake it." He was now eyesing her with a sort of grins in his face.

Trying to reassured her, he knew that she had a good staff and they were probably going to solve it in no time. "The worst that could happen is that the story is bogus and this was just a publicity stunned which if it's true is a totally stupid but let your peoples handle this. I'm sure they are more than qualified for this." When he heard wedding, he wasn't sure what wedding she was talking about. The only wedding he knew was the one of the prime minister but could this be about another one.

Finishing the rest of her second cup of tea, she decided she had enough of that. She smiled and then replied, "Next time I'll make sure not to get such sweet ones. Promise." and smiled at him genuinely. She wanted to make him happy and her happy and getting less sweet treats would do the trick.

Evaline nodded. "No she is sure she wants to come, but I didn't mention about playing though." she stated and still eyed him curiously. She grinned at him, "You have never seen me play. I'm more worried about you breaking a broom actually," She retorted back playfully.

Evaline nodded. "Thats true, but I have a feeling it won't and my feelings are never wrong." she admitted and then added, "You should know that." and gave him a wink. "Those invitatiosn though are suppose to be more important than anything else cause it'ss for the minister. At least that is what Chad says." she commented and then asked Lance, "So what do you thinm about my plan. You up for it?" and then giggled at her idea. It was pretty ridiculous.

Laughing as she mentioned not having those kind of sweet next time, he wasn't too disappointed. Not that he didn't like them but the amount of sugar those had were rather scary. He knew would have to go run for a bit after just to help digest it. "Don't worry about it. I didn't come here for the threat anyway."

He was wondering why she kept looking at him in a curious manner. Yeah it was true that he had appear rather curious about the woman but still..... Shaking his head as she was questioning his ability and telling him that he was the one most likely to broke a broom, he stick out his tongue at her. "The only way the find out is when we will played. Fortunately for me I put extra charms on it."

Gently deciding to back up from that subject since most of the time she seems to have an incredible guts at this. She knew what was best for her staff and he never was going to question it. Nodding as she mentioned it was the minister's wedding. "I've heard about the wedding but nothing much. It's just not my thing. But good luck with this."

Chuckling as she mentioned her plan about her liaison guy, this was the subject he was hoping that she brought up. He still was curious about why he should act as if he was her boyfriend. "I like your plan but still need to know why I should act as your boyfriend?!"

Evaline tilted her head at him. "I just want to make sure my guests are comfortable thats all." she replied to him, "But I'll make sure to remind myself you don't come here for sweets. Just for me." she added with a smile. That wasn't to cocky right.

Evaline had the urge to grab his tongue again when he stuck it out, but she refrained and just stuck hers out back. It wasn't childish she just was having fun wth Lance. "And yes we will see when we play. I'm gonna beat you." she added half heartedly. Actually she doubted she would win, but still it was fun saying so.

Evaline nodded. "Yes you are quite lucky your department has nothing to do with the wedding." and then added. "I can't even do the invitations because we don't have a color scheme so I should be expecting a visist from little Chad here soon." Maybe he would come while Lance was in here.

Evaline smiled devilishly. "Well I think from my point of view if he sees I got a big strong boyfriend with awesome muscles such as yours that would do anything for me." she responded still smiling and finished. "especially is some one was giving me an attitude it might straighten up their act with me cause lets say they get a little...scared. Yeah thats the right word. Scared." She was loving this.

Chad's walk was difficult to explain. It wasn't a walk...it was too fast of a pace, but it wasn't a run. At least not one that would qualify him for a marathon. He needed to know where they stood on these invitations.

Remembering manners (and the fact that Bass was liable to shoot his head off), he knocked quickly and urgently on the door.

Lance shook his head as she was mentioning that he was only coming here for her. It was true in a way but the manner that she said that was too funny for him. Laughing a bit about it, he took a sweet tones. "Friends are more important than sweet you should have known."

He had to admit that everytimes he was with Evaline, he had a lots of fun. He knew that she could be in some kind of stress sometimes and mostly lately since this liaison guy was bugging her. He was there to help her as much as he could and seeing her laughing and been relaxed was all he needed. "I can't wait for that."

Deep down in him, he knew that in a way his department would have a kind of role there. If something turned bad or required his assistance, he would probably be summoned there along with his co-worker but this was something he never thought off or didn't take time to think about. "Lucky you!", he add with a bit of sarcasm in his voice. As she mentioned the man's name, he heard someone knocking at the door and the manner that that one had taken was rather rude. "Why do I have the impression that I already know who's behind that door?" Looking at Evaline, he stood up and walks behind her.

Evaline giggled and bowed her head in achknowledgement. "Yes I know." she replied at him being correct. "We'll always be friends, even with or without sweets." she added smiling at him. It was true, her and Lance never argued and probably never will.

Evaline nodded. "I'm sure you'll be the perfect person for playing my boyfriend to get him off my back" she assured him and then a urgent knock came upon the door. She heard Lance and tried not to giggle, cause probably who ever was out side could her it.

She watched him walk around to stand behind her and then looked at him. "This will be fun and you know what to do," she said with a wink and then answered the rapid knocks on the door. "Come in." she replied to them and waited for Chad's message and the message Lance her "boyfriend" was going to send him.

"Merci Mademoiselle..." he walked in slowly, nodding his head towards the other man in the room. "Mademoiselle, I shall make this brief, but I need to know how well you are getting on avec les invitations. If you need any help, s'il vous plait, ask me."

In his nervousness, he plucked a few peanuts out of his pocket and absentmindedly ate them.

Lance folded his arms in front of him. He didn't say a words but kept staring at the man. He wasn't very impressive, he was in fact looking very nervous which was making him laughing inside. He wasn't going to blow it up for Evaline but wanted to give that man a message that he would understand. You think you are a big shot with your french but think again

Evaline looked at Chad as he wlaked in. She knew it would be him and right at the right moment too. She watched him walk in, give a look at Lance, and then told quite nervously why he was at her office.

She shook her head and told him, while out of the corner of her eye seeing Lance play his part as his arms were folded. It was hard for her not to laugh, but she refrained. "Actually I haven't even gotten started on it cause I had a few other things to do first, but I did tell the person in charge that we needed them done." she replied. Come on give me an attitude. Give me an attitude.

She saw him pop some peanuts into his. What is with this frenchie and peanuts. Deciding she might as well introduce Lance for the fun of it. "OH sorry. I forgot to introduce my boyfriend. Chad this is Lance." she said and then finished, "and Lance this is Chad." still smiling.

"Bonjour Lance..." he waved and turned back to Bass. His job was counting on these invitations being done and she was introducing him to her boyfriend!? The woman population had gone insane! -giggle- She had a boyfriend...

"Mademoiselle...quel personne did you assign the task to?"

"Enchanté..." Even thought it was very clear he wasn't very pleased to meet him, he had to keep his act together. Was this man so nosy that he had to know everything. This was worst than a woman. The only part that he was really enjoying was the watch Chad nervous. This was a certain pleasure and if he could make him suffer he would.

Evaline watched as the boys played nicely. "Well now that thats done. Right the invitations." she said and looked at her notes to get the name right.

She then looked back up to him and replied to his question. She hoped this was not the only thing he had to ask. "I gave it to my Division head of International Magical Cooperation, but I told her not to do anything yet." Then she added, "And right now she busy with something else for me. What did you need to tell her and I'll relay the message."

Being polite she asked, "Pastry?" She knew Lance would mentally laugh at that.

Chad frowned and blinked a couple times. There are three division heads; she only narrowed it down slightly. "Ok. Good," he breathed easier. "I caught wind that an invitation got out by accident and I was praying it wasn't one of ours. We need to wait for a colour scheme apparently...I don't know if we do too, but I'll get that to you as soon as possible."

He returned to his full, happy attitude self. "Mmmm, no, mais merci. I must return to my office...see if I can catch the undersecretary and find out the missing links," he popped another peanut into his mouth and smiled at both people. "I shall now leave you two love birds, au revoir!"

Perhaps Katie wouldn't mind being bothered for a few minutes...He smiled at both office occupants, turned on his heel and slipped out of the office, silently shutting the door behind him.

That man was surely strange. He was more acting like a woman which in a way was extremely amusing for him but he kept everything inside. He wanted to have a strong appearance and he was probably going to rolled on the floor the second he would be stepping out. In his head, he was trying to picture with a little pink dress and at one point, he had to stop to do that or he wouldn't be able to contained himself from laughing.

The all pastries thing was just hilarious for him. He knew why she was proposing this. She was simply a genius when it was down to things like that but fortunately for them he was about to leave but still his attitude was a bit snobbish and if he could bring him down he would.

Looking at the man as he walks out of the office, he turned back his attention toward Evaline and rolled his eyes.

Evaline nodded to him, as Chad was so adimit about leaving her and Lance. Her plan was working and she was happy. The guy couldn't stand being with her when Lance was around, so she must keep a little clone of Lance where ever she went to prevent him from ever speaking to her like she was a meer child.

"Bye and thanks." she said to him as Chad walked out of her office. She turned to see Lance roll his eyes and she just started bursting out laughing. "That was absolutely the best thing I have done in forever." she tried saying through her laughter. "That pastry bit almost made me crack." she added with a sly grin.

Not containing himself anymore as he saw her laughed, he burst into laughter. "Oh man my stomach hurt now. I would have rolled on the floor at when you mentioned the pastry. That was just devilish of you." Walking back toward the sit in front of her office, he sat on it. "That guy isn't much scary. Well annoying yes but not very dangerous."

Looking at her, she seems to be happy about the way things went and he was hoping that at that point she wont have anymore troubles with that man. "Let's just hope that the next time he will come here, he will have a better attitude."

Evaline giggled some more as he mentioned the pastry bit and she leaned back in her chair as she looked at him. "What could I say. Those peanuts he always eat bother me, so i thought I'd offer him something different and just a tad bit sweet." she replied.

She shook her head. "He would have been if you hadn't been in here. I know it." she stated and then added, "I hope not either or I might have to bring you back up here again and show him some more muscle." She then started giggling at the mental thought she had and she just had to tell him. "Next time if he asks where something is and your with me. You should totally flex your muscle and point." she told him and then asked. "You know what I'm talking about right?"

She then forgot to thank him. "Oh yeah, and thanks. Your the best boyfriend a girl could have." she said still smiling at the whole experience.

Now that she was bringing up his peanuts, he was wondering why he had them with him. He personally didn't have anything against peoples who ate peanuts but it was like an obsession for that man. "Yeah what's with him an that. I mean it's like he can't live without them. It's the first time I saw him and it's kind of weird."

Nodding at what she was telling him, he would have loved to see him and the way he was acting when he was all alone with Evaline, maybe then it would have made a bigger impact. Making a mental note of trying to come here after that guy was in just to see his reaction. "I can take him down a inch or two without a problem. As long as he dont messed around is safe. You know me I don't get angry easily but it happens sometimes." Laughing at her suggestion, he couldn't believe she had brought this up. Ok he had muscles but this was something he wasn't used too. Showing them wasn't something he thought was brilliant so didn't see necessary. "I see what you mean."

Winking at her, he didn't mind been there for her. That's what friends were for. "No big deal. It's a pleasure to help out."

Evaline shrugged. She had no idea why Chad liked peanuts so much and always ate them. "I don't know, but it is a odd sort of fetish." she commented and then looked at the pastries. "I rather have them. even if they are sweet." she added.

Evalime smiled. "Oh yes you would and I'm sure he wouldn't like it, but it might be necissary to show him people mean business." she said and giggled. "I know you don't, but it's nice to know things get you fired up." she added with a wink.

Evaline sighed and replied. "Ok good. I didn't want look crazy if you didn't understand." She was one fore making wouldn't appreciate them. She figured though she could tell Lance. He was good for those kind of things, and he prooved her predictions correctly almost every time.

Evaline smiled and gave him a polite nod. "I know I can and now I owe you something. Anything you need I'm your woman." she commented.

Lance was curious about this true but it wasn't an obsession, it was just very funny trying to find a way to explain this. "Well I guess peanuts give me a sort of comfort, who knows." Taking a looks at the pastry as she looked at them too, he chuckles. "I have no preference. I guess fruits would be on top of my lists." This was talking like a diets pro.

Nodding at what she was saying, he knew that some better understand where their life was threaten and this most be one of them. "I only used forces when it's necessary or when the other wont understand otherwise. I can be very mean if I need to be that." Still this was something is brother-in-law was better than him. He wasn't that bad and he knew that she was awared that if he could do something in order to change this, he would do it without hesitation.

Putting on an devilish smiled, he looked at her. Of course he did understand but she was too funny when she look somewhat foolish. "Don't worry about that. Foolish or not it's still fun been around you."

Thinking about the fact that she was owning him one was making him laughed. At first he didn't do it in that aspect but he was respecting her and if she wanted to own him something, he couldn't see why not. "Let me think about it and once I've found something I'll let you know." He grinned at her as he was saying that.

Evaline shrugged her shoulder. "Maybe," she said agreeing with him and then added, "or maybe not." She smiled at him. Fruits were good but she prefered salt and vinegar chips. "You would." she commented jokingly. Lance always seemed to be trying to stay fit, even though he really didn't need to.

Evaline smiled and nodded. "Well thats good. We wouldn't want you to have anger management problems now would we." she stated. "Someone could say something jokingly like me, and in a matter of milliseconds you could have me pinned to the wall giving me an evil glare and give a horrible tone when you spoke." she described. Well maybe he wouldn't go as far as pinning her to the wall, but he would definitely get in her face.

Evaline stuck her tongue out. "Well I can say the same for you, except you never get into as many follish situations as me." she said and then added on, "But I uess thats just me and people just have to get use to it."

Evaline heard his comment and gave him a little lip curl. "I knew you would take the offer," she replied. She hoped it wouldn't be to bad what he had in store. Knowing Lance it was probably making her clean his brooms or paint her face his favorite Quidditch teams colors and going to the game and yelling as loud as she could.

Thinking that they had talked enough about that guy and his crazy peanuts obsession for one day, he decided that it would be the best for either of them to talk about something. After all, the whole world wasn't turning around him. He definitively could find way more fun subject. "I know you don't have the same taste than me concerning this but that's what I'm used too. I can't stand too much salted in my system."

Laughing as she mentioned the anger issue, he could hardly picture himself in a place like that unless it was him who was trying to help those who needed it. "I don't think we saw that day yet and perhaps we will never....." Shaking his head as she mentioned him jumping at her for a joke and its was more likely that it wasn't something he could imagine. "I know you too much and also know that you have fun messing with me so it's impossible for me to do that. The only chance that I pined someone on the wall is that I'm one hundred pourcent sure that this person meant it in a mean way." Having a older sister but still having the protective instinct to him, he could remember tossing few men out of her way and this was something he could do in any kind of situation.

Still laughing at her comments, it was true that she seems to put herself in a lots of crazy situation but this was pretty much like him when he was younger. He used to be like her but he grew out of it at one point. "Lucky you that some times I'm there to help you get out of those situations."

Nodding at her last comment, he knew that she would respect what she have told him and he probably wouldn't ask something to big. It wasn't him to take advantage in a situation like this but just for the fun of it, he was going to make her wait just a while before.

Evaline looked at him giving him a look oh shame, but it was still jokingly. "Don't insult my fetish for salt and vinegar chips. Once you have them you get addicted." she commented and then put up her wand a gave it a flick. Out of the cupboard came her own package of chips since it was nearly lunch time.

Evaline shrugged, "It was only a thought," she added with a wink. "I know you could never hurt anyone. I don't even think you'd hurt a fly." she replied and opened her bag of delicious goodness.

The smell of them made her nose tingle, in a good way of course. Evaline nodded. "Yes you don't know how greatful I am that you do help me." she said genuely. I really don't think he does how much I own him for everything he's done.
