All the way down the hallway, pass the division rooms, next to the break room is the Head's Office. On the door reads:

Head Office
Department of International Magical Cooperation
Evaline Jane Bass

When you enter the first thing you notice is all the Slytherin pride. With that, Evaline has many photos of people and places on her walls. Stepping further into the office, you see the fire place that has just resently been used and then turn to the big oak desk. Behind it, sitting in a swivel chair, is Evaline Bass hard at work on the phone with another countries Magical Government or filling out paper work. When its all finished, she looks up and smiles, her teeth gleaming. Pushing her hair back she replies, "How may I help you?"

Lance shook his head. He knew that she loved those things but he couldn't eat any of it. This was just kind of things he would never have the needs to eat. "We all have our littles habits. I doubt that if I even eat one I would like it. Too many salt for my taste anyway." As he watches her eat, he did a mental note to go to the cafeteria and go by a bottle of water with a plate of fruits.

Laughing at her comment about hurting a fly, she sure had never see him when he was angry or she might have think twice before saying this. "You know that I have a control of myself but sometimes, rarely, things happens which I can be a bit too jumpy if you understand what I mean." She would probably have an hard time believing in this but he had moments too.

Gently bowing his head, it was natural for him to do so. In his mind friend was there to help others in any type of situation no matter what it was. "I know you would do the same for me If I was in troubles."

Evaline giggled and shook her head. "Correction: We all have our many habits." she stated and then took a bite of her chip. "Hmm I don't know. You might. Here try one," she said pushing him th bag of chips. "They aren't as bad as you think." she added.

Evaline chuckled. "You having angry moments is like me never embarrasing myself." she replied still laughing. That was a good analogy right? "I bet you still wouldn't hurt a fly, metaphorically speaking." she restated.

Evaline saw him bow, and tried not to giggle. She knew it was Lance's thing to bow, but it was just a little to much. "I would. I would. Plus now that you excepted my payback, I have no choice now." she added

Lance laughed when she corrected him. Of course peoples usually don't have only one habits but many but that's what he meant but unfortunately he might have express himself in a way that would have say otherwise. "You are right about that." As he was beginning to fall into a thinking mode, he was a bit surprise that she was pushing the bag of chips toward him. He knew for a fact that he couldn't handle that much salt and even thought he didn't want to insult her in any way, he shook his head. " I think I will let you have the entire things. No offense."

As she mentioned an analogy between them, he thought that it was rather funny what she had pick. "You don't embarrassed yourself twenty-four hours a day so it's possible." He knew he could find a breach in her sentence and if he could take advantage of it, he wouldn't hold back one second. Chuckling, he nodded. "Yep, I knew what you meant."

Evaline noticed that he was going into a thinkind mood and she wanted to know what was on his mind. He then told her she could have the entire bag, and she didn't refuse. Taking the bag, she grabbed another chip and then asked him, "So what's on your mind? You seem to be wanting to go into a thinking mode." Hopefully he would tell her.

Evaline stuck her tongue out at him. "Fine ruin my fun. I still want to se this "Angry Lance," though she stated with a 'bring it on' smile. She really did want to see him get angry.

Lance would have loved to stay and chat more but they were probably going to have loads of paper to write after the dress incident and he didn't want his team and his boss to do it without him. He had help them in his way and he was going to finish the job like a professional. "Actually we had a dress incident earlier. Multiple dress were attacking muggles which is kind of strange but funny if you aren't the one getting attack."

Standing up, knowing perfectly that she would have love to see him angry but he wasn't feeling like doing that. "Well I think I have to go. I'll try to be back as soon as I can." Gently smiling at her, he walks toward the door and left.

Evaline was working on some paper work for some trials one of her division head had been looking at. Lifting her head up when she a heard a knock at her office door, she replied with, "Come in."

As she did this she wondered if it wa a crisis or someone wanting to chat. She was kind of busy s she hoped it was important, unless it was Lance but she always had time for him. Biting into her cookie, she waited for the person to enter.

"Hello Evaline. I'm Hayley Ice. I'm new, and I since I have no idea where to get started, I thought I'd ask you. First of all, do you know where my cubicle is? Or am I at the very wrong place for these questions. If so, I'm sorry."Because Hayley was a bit nervous, she started talking very, very fast, and she wasn't sure if Evaline had heard it all or not.

Evaline leaned back in her chair as a young girl walked in that she had never seen before. She figured she was from another department, but then the girl start stuttering and talking really fast about she was new and didn't know where she should go.

Putting her hand on her desk to spoke to the girl with sincere calmness. "Alright. One calm down. Two I remember your application and in the owl I sent to you it should have given you your division your in. With that if you exit straight back where you entered from the doors in the hall each have their division names on them. Go to the one your an employee of and ask for the division head. They will tell you what to do."

She smiled at the girl hoping this was good enough for her and she would be on her way.

Chad paused outside the door of the last place he had to hit with these memorandums. Lucky for him, he had exactly one left; just for Mademoiselle Bass. Sighing and praying that this encounter would go over better than the last few, he gently knocked on the door and waited to be called in.

After seeing the new employee leave she went back to what she was doing. Not long after another knock on her door came and she wondered what it was about this time. Hopefully another employee needing directions so it wouldn't take long and not be important or urgent. "Come in," Evaline said to the person outside her door.

Evaline looked up to see Chad her department liason there. Now she knew she had more work that needed to be done. "It's alright," she replied as he stepped in. He was being nice at least. So far so good.

She then saw what he put on her desk and picked it up and began reading. When she finished she looked up and nodded. "Well this should be fun. What are the specific tasks for my department for have you not gotten those yet?" she asked.

"The tasks for which you ask have not be relayed to me, Mademoiselle. I'm sure Mademoiselle Taylor will give them to us as soon as they're prepared. That is all I know for now," he pointed to the memorandum.

Evaline nodded as she looked at the memo in her hands again. "Alright then. Thank you and update me when you know." she replied figuring this was the end of their discussion unless he had something else to say or talk about.

"Oui Mademoiselle," he nodded, "I will." He turned on his heel and made for the door, "have a good afternoon! Oh, and it was nice to have a calm conversation avec toi. Of course, I haven't exactly been a cooperative liaison." He looked back at her and smiled lightly. "But, if we're going to be ready for the conference, we'll need to be civil towards each other as much as we can. I'm willing to give a wing," he placed his hand on the doorknob, ready to pull it open.

Evaline smiled a him as he left. They had actually had a normal and civil conversation and now he was acknowledging it. She was liking this. Giving him a bow of her head in agreement she lifted it back up and kept smiling. "I definitely agree. If we can't even get along how will we with other people from different countries." she replied as he was about to leave and then added, "And as you put it. I am willing to give it a wing too."

Succes, they were now civilized people.

Later on after Chad had left Evaline heard her phone ring and picked it up. Hearing the person on the other line she couldn't believe it. How could this happen? She was so young and had never lved life to its fullest. "Thank you. I will let the staff know." she mumbled into the phone and put the reciever down.

Costanza was gone. It was terrible. She had just seen her the other day and now gone. The only thing she could do was report this to her staff and throw a RIP party for her. Getting up, she went to go tell her other division heads.

How could this place be big? It was unbelievable how huge the Ministry of Magic was! It had taken him so long to get to the level five. Although, this could also be due to the fact that Nicholas had an excruciatingly bad memory, and that he had conveniently forgotten his mum's instructions. And of course that when he asked help to a nice -and very good looking- young woman, he did not hear a word of what she was saying, for he had been too busy staring at her pretty face like an idiot.

Trust Nicholas to get distracted so easily around pretty women. Not that he had any kind of good luck with the female population, anyways.

So in overall, it had taken him a good forty five minutes to get to the level five. Now, he was standing right outside of the office of Ms. Evaline Jane Bass, the head of the Department of International Cooperation. Aka, his boss. Nicholas could still remember clearly his job interview with her, and quite frankly, he was still very surprised that he'd gotten the job, for he had almost spilled his very hot coffee on her robes.

Nicholas Dwight's clumsy-ness was perhaps one of his biggest flaws.

Taking a deep breath to calm himself down, chewing on his lip, and running a head hand trough his messy brown curly hair, Nicholas knocked the door of Ms. Bass office, and waited patiently -and very nervously- for her response.

Maybe now that he had gotten a job as a division head on the Ministry of Magic was a good moment to move out of his mum's house? Naaaaahh. The twenty-five year old Nicholas, was very comfortable living there, plus, he was definitely not looking forward to wash his clothes, clean his house, and cook his own meal.

Evaline was just working on some notes from the Quibbler Headquaters and deciding when to hold the briefing meeting on the excursion when she heard a knock on her door.

She looked at her watch. It was about 8:15 am and she didn't know why she had a call this early since people were just coming in for work. Leaning back in her swiveling chair she spoke, "Come in."

She watched for the door to open and the person to step in. It better not be too important.

Was it possible to chew your own lip off? Nicholas surely hoped not, for he was deathly afraid of blood, and only the sight -or smell- of it, gave him the sensation that he was about to faint, and honestly, the last thing he needed right now, was to faint in front of his boss. That would just been too embarrassing. He had been chewing on his lip so long, and so hard, that it was seriously beginning to hurt pretty badly.

The colour of his lip was almost red, when a voice from the other side of the door made him jump, and almost lost his balance.

Taking another deep breath to calm himself down, and trying to flat his curly brown hair unsuccessfully, Nicholas opened the door carefully, and stepped inside Evaline's office.

"Hello, ma'am", He said politely, but with a nervous smile playing around his lips. "I thought it would be appropriate to report myself today, since it is my first day here, and all... " He trailed off, for his voice was about to break.

Nicholas was just a little bit nervous.

Evaline was waiting for the person on the other side of the door. She sort up jumped out of her seat when it sounded as the person had almost lost their balance. Since she didn't hear a thud on the floor though, she sat back down and waited.

She smiled as the door opened and Nicholas, her new Division Head stepped in. "Ah, Nicholas. Good to see you." she welcomed with a friendly smile. He seemed a bit nervous and it looked like his lip was about to fall off from being bitten into. She hoped his nerves wouldn't get the best of him in this job. But if they didn't he would surely have a promising career at the Ministry not to mention ever girl flailing over his hair.

She gestured him to take a seat still smiling and then added, "I'm glad you came in. I wanted to wish you good luck and you may call me Evaline now." she only gave her Division heads that permission around the office.

Nicholas’ boss either had an unhealthy obsession with green, or Evaline was a former member of the Slytherin house, because there were green stuff all over the place. It made him feel a little intimidated, for he could still remember clearly that all the scary and big kids that used to bug him back at school, belonged to that house. Hopefully Evaline wasn’t as scary as those kids were.

Nicholas had to admit something, though; Scary or not, he was always going to be slightly scared of Evaline Bass.

“It is good to see you again as well, ma’am”, Nicholas replied politely, but with a rather clumsy nod on Evaline’s direction. Yes, it was definitely a good thing that he was there talking to her again. That meant that he had a job, and having a job means that you are going to get paid, which is equal to getting some money, which for Nicholas was very important because he was looking forward to get the special edition of his favourite comic book, that coasted much more than just a few galleons.

“Thank you”, he replied nodding, even though he very much doubted that good luck would be on his side. It never was! Hence why he had so many scars on his knees, and had broken the bones of his arms more than four times. Nicholas Dwight was very, very clumsy, and with no luck at all. Not good luck, at least.

“Evaline” Nicholas repeated, getting used to call his boss by her first name. This for some reason, made him even more nervous, which made him feel rather stupid, considering that Evaline had been very nice since the day they’d met.

Smiile, Nicky, smile. A voice in his head –that sounded remarkably like his mum’s- commanded him, for it seemed that his lips had been failing to do this.

So with a great effort, Nicholas forced the muscles of his face to look less apprehensive, and managed to crack up a friendly tiny smile.

Evaline looked at the poor boy hoping her decision was right about hiring him. Well not boy but young man looked scared to death of her and she wasn't liking it. She needed her employees here to be friendly and personable. Maybe he was different around strangers, but technically she was, but whatever.

She nodded back at him feeling like this conversation was going to go no where unless this man would take a deep breathe and relax. She wasn't going to bite him. She didn't really want to figure out how human tasted like some weird plot in a scary story.

She noticed he had a hard time pronouncing her first name and trying to smile. She had to do something so she spoke, "Nicholas please relax." she commented and summoned her plate of danishes. "Here have one I inisist." she added with another genuine smile. He needed to trust her for this to work.

It seemed that the attempt of smile that Nicholas made, had clearly failed, because Evaline was eyeing him funny now. Uh-oh. What if she was now regretting of hiring him, eh? That would be horrible, not to mention embarrassing. Fired on his first day of work.

Good one, Nicholas.

The moment that Evaline asked him to relax, Nicholas cheeks turned pink of embarrassment. Sighing a heavy sigh, he took seat on the chair that Evaline had gestured him previously, as a a little smile -and a genuine one- appear on his lips.

He was starting to feel like a child, for some reason.

Taking one of the danishes that Evaline was offering, Nicholas took a little bite of it. "Thank you. Its delicious". Not as delicious as his mother's but it was, on Nicholas opinion, a very tasty danish. "And I apologise for my, er, behaviour", He cleared his throat, and went on, "I, um, tend to get a little nervous.." Nicholas trialed off again. Better leave that sentence unfinished, before embarrass himself even more.

He nibbled on his danish just for something to do. It was really good! Perhaps he should come and visit Evaline more often. Heheh.
