"Put the memo up on the big board, Alexander," not a request. "I'm disappointed this meeting hasn't already happened. I want some progress from this department and I WANT IT NOW." Lord Borr's giant hand came down with a loud SMACK onto the table.

BLINK. BLINK BLINK. O______O
He wanted him to hold the cloth to his head?! Great Merlin, this was getting too ridiculous. A mental war was raging inside of Mason. He really really REALLY didn't want to hold the cloth up to the man's giant forehead. But... He didn't want to het fired.
"I, er... Of course. Sir." He said quietly and resumed his place standing next to the big oaf of a man. Grabbing the cool cloth, he held it... up to his forehead.
Someone hex him. This was embarrassing.
Then of course he went on complaining about the size of the cups. Oh, of course, nothing is perfect for Big Borr! Mason resisted the urge to roll his eyes and pulled out his ws wand and summoned the coffee pot to them. He also cast "Engorgio!" to his cup to make it larger and poured him more coffee.

Medea watched wide eyed as everything happen so quickly. This was her first encounter with the Minister and frankly she was discussed. That didn’t matter of course, he held the power give her a promotion. A powerful promotion.
Before she could get up she watched as her boyfriend applied a wet rag on the minister, and then simultaneously got the Minister a larger cup of coffee. Either he was trying to butter the large man up for a promotion, or Mason was a push over. The woman would not want a push over for a boyfriend so she convinced herself that her boyfriend was there to make nice to the large sweaty man in order to further his career.
Medea needed to figure out a way to introduce herself to the Minister. She needed to work on a promotion. She could replace that slacker of a Junior Under Secretary. She looked up to the minister and Mason. Not wanting to mix business and pleasure she chose not to look at Mason directly. This was work, not the place for kissy face and loving eyes. The woman waited to see if the mug size was appropriate for Lord Sweats-a-lot.
If Mason wasn’t able to supply an appropriate size mug she could always jump in and offer the Minister another one.
What? This was business, nothing personal. Even if it was her boyfriend, she had no problem upstaging him.

Alexander's eyebrows narrowed inward in annoyance. He really had little to no patience for this man, and he figured the sooner he got the meeting over with, the better. His eyes rolled slightly upward. How in the name of Hades was the meeting meant to have happened sooner when the man just released the memo? All that yelling and sweating must have gotten to his head.

Alexander opened his mouth to speak, but he stopped when he heard the banging of the cane on the table. Must the employee have followed through with that order a hundred percent?
He waited until the smacking ending and then began speaking.

He read the memo from start to finish then duplicated it and motioned for the nearest person to begin passing the copies around the table. "Minister Borr has requested ideas on his desk as soon as possible," he summarized. "Those who work in the lobby area and front desks," he continued, nodding toward those employees, "will need to meet together to brainstorm what you can do for your area."
He turned toward those who occupy the general work area and cubicles. "Same for those who're stationed in the general work area and cubicles. You'll meet together and brainstorm what you can do to respond to this memo in an appropriate manner," he told them. "You can break up and return to your work areas, mingle with each other and get ideas," he continued, "but just remember to have a list of your ideas and how you're going to implement them on parchment and ready to turn in to Borr as quickly as possible. You can bring your finalized lists to one of my assistants (OOC: brelovesweasleys or prettyme99) when you're done." He turned toward the Maintenance supervisor. "...and you can meet your employees individually, mingle with those here," he said, using his hand to motion around the room, "however you wish to do it." Maintenance had more than just a level to brainstorm about, he knew.
Then he looked back up at the group as a whole. "Remember to include information on level one as a whole, not just your individual work areas," he said. "On that note, this meeting is adjourned, so that everyone can begin work on this assignment straight away," he announced. "I'll be around if any of you have any questions."

Her first assignment was to hold the liaison meeting. Ruth quickly made her way toward the conference room hoping that today meeting going smoothly. She didn't want to screw her first assignment.
When the red hair entered the conference room, no one was there. She was the first one to get there. Well that was good. It won't do any good if she was late. Ruth went over to the large, oval table and sat down. While waiting for the liaisons arrive, she opened a file she carried in and started reading it.

Katrina had taken the elevator up to level one, of course she had, she wasn't going to walk up from level six. Her black heels clicked as she walked through the lobby area and made her way towards the conference room. When she had been chosen for liason she had told herself she was prepared for it, but with each step she got more nervous. The twenty-two year old blonde smoothed her hair and straightened herself out before walking into the conference room with a smile on er face, her red bag on one shoulder and a cup of coffee in her free hand.
"Hello," Katrina greeted the woman there with a smile, hopefully it didn't show how nervous she was. Then casually, and a bit slowly, she took a seat at the table, placing her cup of coffee on the table but not before taking a sip of it. It would calm her down right?

Skander double checked to make sure the room he was walking into was the correct one, before walking through it. He'd been surprised when he'd gotten the memo about the liaison meeting that was taking place, there having not been a meeting before. But he was also curious as to what the meeting may actually be about. Hopefully he'd find out soon.
Noticing the two women in the room Skander threw them both a smile before taking a seat at the table. "Hello," he finally said once he'd made himself comfortable.

Layla clicked her way down the corridor towards the meeting room. She supposed her partner would be catching up with her soon, but best she went now so both of them wouldn't be late. As usual the woman had a scroll of parchment tucked neatly in her arms and her purse contained her quills, inks wells and camera. All were essential to her.
She pushed open the door and noticed that three of her colleagues were already present. Clearly she was not late.
"Good morning." She gave each of them a curt nod but didn't sit right away."Layla Dacosta, Liaison for the minister's office."
Wait...was that not her old co-worker from transportation? She was a liaison now? Things really had changed in that department after Recard left.

Ruth was flipping her notebook hoping that it would ease her nerve. She already held a lot of meeting in her old job so this one wouldn't be too different, right?
Not long after she arrived, a woman entered the conference room with a coffee in her hand. Look like someone was already preparing herself. "Hello." Ruth greeted back the woman. Okay which Department she was from?
And after the woman, another liaison entered the room. This time its a man. "Hello." The red hair greeted the man.
Oh, its one of her co-worker in level one. Ruth saw her in her first day, if she's not mistaken the woman is one of the Media Liaison. but she couldn't remembered her name. Then to her relieved the woman introduced herself. "Hello. Miss Dacosta. How are you?" she greeted the woman with a small smile.
Three person? Where are the others? They already got her memo about the meeting, right? She hoped so. "Good day, everyone. I'm Ruth Flitzpatrick. I'm the Internal Liaison Supervisor." she introduced herself. "While we wait for another liaisons to arrive please help yourself with the refreshment." Ruth pointed the refreshment table lines the left wall

Mr. Chevron Wilkes breezed into the room. He'd brought coffee from his level, the Games and Sports one, for all the ladies.
And there were ladies around and about.
His robes were a burnt orange color today, and his bare ankles showed just underneath them. Chev had worn brown leather sandals to work today - his best pair, since he had this meeting.
With ladies.
Hello, ladies.
Chev set a coffee down in front of Layla, Katrina, then took up a seat closest to Ruth - the ring leader of this show. He didn't say a word though; Chevron Wilkes didn't have to. Wink wink.

Layla finally sunk into her chair and crossed her legs at the ankles. Right, she hoped she wouldn't have to wait much longer for the others to get there. Time was money.
"I'm fine thank you." She rummaged through her purse and pulled out her inkwells and her quill. Quick notes quill, how would she ever manage without them. They kept her from getting chipped nails, there was nothing she hated more than that.
She looked up as someone else joined the room and was really hoping it was her partner but it was not. She sighed quietly. This man was not wearing slippers and orange robes to their meeting. She tried not to stare and instead read and reread, the label on her inkwell.

A ship in harbor is safe — but that is not what ships are built for.
Emerald's late, and she knows it.
She was panting and out of breath as she stepped inside the Level 1 conference room. Clutching to the door knob for support while she observes that many are in the room already. It's the first time in Level 1 for Emmy, and she finds it quite pleasant.
Emerald smiled around at everyone in the room and took a seat silently. She pondered at herself how she could have been late in her first Liaison Conference. She made a mental note to herself never to do that again.
Late? No Katherine was never late. Everyone else just early.
When the elevator door opened, she went forward to the conference room where the Liaison meeting was being held. She was rather curious what's the meeting all about. "Hello, I'm Katherine Salvatore. Department Mysteries's Liaison." she introduced herself when she entered the room then proceed to take a seat.
Ruth's eyes went from her file to the door when she heard someone else entering the conference room. Another man. She murmured a quick hello to the guy. Wait did the man just winked at her? Or did something was in his eyes? BLINK.
OKAY. Lets see who's already here. MLE's liaison? Only one was present but Check. Transportation's liaison? Check. Magical Games and Sports's liaison? Check. So that mean there're three other liaison still missing. Level 3 liaison, level 4 liaison and level 9. After Ruth finished her little check list two women entered the conference room. That mean level 3 liaison, Check. And Level 9 liaison, Check.
The red hair turned her gaze towards Mr.Beckett "Mr.Beckett, do you know is Mrs. Hampson gonna join us or not?" she asked the level 2 liaison if not than the man need to tell his partner what the meeting all about.
"Well, I think most of the liaison are already here. So let's start the meeting." She won't be waiting for another late comer any longer. The late comer could come to the conference room, she doesn't mind. "I know all of you are wondering what's the meeting about." She won't be surprise if they do. "Most of you are veterans here so you might notice the lack of cooperation between each level" Because she does. "So in this meeting we're going to find a way to collaborate among levels." she explained. "I need each of you to tell me your thought of how we gonna do this." Ruth added.

Layla spun her quill between her fingers as the meeting supervisor spoke. The question was awfully general.Collaborate among levels? For what purpose and how? They had different levels because they all did different things. This all had to be coming from somewhere though.
She put her hand up a little.
"Is there a specific goal that we will all be working towards or do you just want ways for us to someone communiate with each other throughout the day?" The first was what she was leaning towards.

Chev had in fact winked at miss Ring Leader. In due course, he'd probably wink at all these ladies. What a JOB this was!! He got paid more to be closed up with all the gorgeous liaison ladies of the Ministry? Merlin he loved the British Ministry. He was never going to quit.
"Ruth," pause," may I call you Ruth?" He was going to, "I think collaboration should start right here, and then trickle out. You know, us as the example. We could all meet weekly for a lunch and snacks in the Atria Cafeteria."
Chev. The ladies. His stories to make them laugh and say Oh Chevron...
Collaboration at its best.
"Start small, I say. Me and you. Me and this one," he nodded towards Layla, then Katherine and Emerald in turn, "I'm willing to put in the extra hours for you. For all of you." Chev lifted his coffee in a salute to each lady around the table.
Aubrie rushed onto level one because she had gotten a late start on her day and felt super rushed. She walked in just in time to hear the person asking if she was going to be there. "Hello, I'm sorry I'm so late," she said as she sat down at the table quickly looking around. She pulled out a sheet of parchment to take notes on and peered at the rest of the people around the table through her new purple glasses. As she looked around she began to feel extremely underdressed.
Now they need to collaborate more. "I'd suggest that we have weekly or monthly meetings together and try to get somethings going on between departments," Aubrie said.
Check. Oh a question for him! "No idea," Skander replied, deciding it best to leave out the part about not even knowing the lady that was the other MLE liaison. He'd make sure to change that after today. If he could find her. Which it looked like he'd be able to do now that she'd hurried in.
"We should facilitate some events where people from the different levels can come together in ways that will make them work as a team. If we can get people to trust and co-operate with each other in situations outside of work than it will hopefully carry over to during the office hours," Skander suggested. She had asked for ways for the levels to communicate, not just the liaisons. Plus, just because they were liaisons that didn't mean they were always going to be available to help facilitate unity, nor that they'd always be the most knowledgeable about situations that levels would need to co-operate in.

Kyle was very embarrassed. The possibility of her being late was very high. She dusted off her black blazer and looked down at her shoes. They had to be shiny, of course. She knew that her tardiness would make an impression. Though it wasn't going to be good, she walked in confidently.
Smiling as she walked in, she nodded politely to the other liaisons. They were all here and, of course, she was the last one. She had hoped that Vinnie would understand her leaving so early. She had a job to do.
"Good Morning everyone. I truly apologize for my tardiness." She gently walked around the room to the empty chair left. She sat down, adjusting her red button up shirt that hid slightly under her blazer. She shook her head slightly so that her short boy cut hair could look it's best.

Sophie clicked as she ran down the hallway to her meeting down with the rest of the liaisons in the ministry. She had recieved the memo a little later than she most likely should of to make a appearance on time. Her luck was down right laughable. The first meeting in her new position would mark her as the "late one". Merlin, she felt so impossible.
When she walked in she bowed her head and said quickly, "Hello everyone. Sorry I was late."Then she awkwardly took her seat and waited for them to resume the meeting.

A Specific goal?"Well, the purpose of this collaboration among levels is to ensure that all Departments are running well and whether they need something from the other Departments." she said. "Was that answer your question, Ms. Dacosta?" she asked the other woman.

Layla thought on the woman's answer and tapped the parchment with her quill. Not exactly what she was asking really. She knew the reason why they needed a liaison meeting, she just didn't know what the specific subject matter at hand was.
"Not exactly but I figured it out, thanks." She sat up a bit straighter in her chair.
"I was thinking that a mandatory tea session could work, where liaison officers meet once a week to discuss the businesses of our respective departments, so when we do need to address the media or any outside entity we are all aware of the happenings throughout the entire ministry."
She looked around at all the faces in the room." I mean, it need not even be in the ministry we can host it at different locations and have a different liaison host it every week."

Vicky knew she was late but wanted to show support to the Liaison supervisor. Slipping in at the back of the room, she stood with her back against the wall as she listened to everyone take part and give their ideas as well as see the Liaison Supervisor work and interact really well with everyone. It was good to see the department working well.
She had no intentions of interrupting but simply to observe as she would be having a meeting with Ms.Flitzpatrick later on about the meeting.

Kyle though on it. She was usually full of ideas. Perhaps she'd come up with smething useful eventually.

"Yes. Of course." She never liked people called her Ms. Flitzpatrick because it sound too old and she's not that old for Merlin's sake. "That's very nice of you , Mr. Wilkes." she gave the man a little smile. She was grateful that he's willing to put in extra hours but the red head thinks that wasn't necessary for now maybe later. But she still put his offer in her reminder.
"Please, please, Ruthie - call me Chev, or Chevron if you must," Mr. Wilkes slid his hands down the table towards her, then gave the table a little pat pat pat. Rest easy, Leader Liaison Lady. Get comfortable, take your shoes off.
"Can I also suggest we all... get comfortable now? Let's all kick our shoes off and feel closer to one another." Chev slid is brown sandals off under the table. Ahhh better. "I think free feet will help free our minds to come up with brilliant ideas for you."

That was, more or less, what Chev was suggesting. But it sounded so much prettier coming off of this one's lips. "Here, here! I vote with her. I volunteer to start in my Department. Tea really does go well with Quidditch."
Vicky was very impressed by the mood in the meeting. She nodded to most of the suggestions and smiled at just how integral they were. Yup, the ministry was back to being on top of things. Cooperation was going to be the rising agent in the success of the ministry and she saw it begin here in this conference room.
She looked up at Ruth and inclined her head to before deciding to leave. She had her own job to do to add to this work in progress. Vicky quietly slinked toward the door and slipped out, not wanting to disturb the proceedings.
