After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"Brilliant," Ginny commented, finishing her slice of pizza and reaching for one of the cheese pieces. "Oh, this is good. I don't need much, though. Once I get settled in, I can always retrieve my clothes somehow." Shje lapsed into silence, considering that she actually felt excited about what the future held for her. Was it bad that she wasn't really missing Harry very much?

George's grin disappeared. "What do you mean? She has to be here somewhere. Where else could she be?" He wondered if Harry meant where in the house was she hiding or if he actually believed she had gone somewhere.

"I haven't seen her... I'm pretty sure she's not in the house, because I almost followed her here into the kitchen and she was gone," Harry said, standing up and facing George. If George confirmed that he hadn't seen Ginny, then Harry decided he would go make sure she wasn't in the house or outside.

George looked a bit chagrinned. "I wasn't in the house, so I don't know if she's around. She wouldn't have left, especially not without you, Harry. So she must be around. Did you look outside and in her room upstairs?"

Fred strolled downstairs to the fireplace, and flooed Dumbldore. But, as seemed to be the fashion lately, Dumbledore rejected Fred and told him to stay put and to definetly not take Miss Granger out of the house. Fred showed respect and obliged, but his ears were red and his temper fuming.

He stormed back up the stairs, trying to pull his compose back together as he neared Hermione. George wasn't anywhere in the room, and Hermione sat on his bed. Her big brown eyes had a very calming affect on him, though. "Well, forget all that stuff about trusting me and us getting out of here. The old man says no, so I guess that's it. I'm sorry..." Fred took up one of Hermione's hands and kissed it lightly, before placing it back in her lap. Hermione didn't seem too upset, and said something going to own her mother..So, Fred said he'd meet up with her later as she headed up the stairs to where the owls were kept.

Fred, went downstairs and to the kitchen to find Harry and George there. "Well, well..if it isn't Ginny's new pet and grouch of a brother." Fred hopped up on a nearby stool, and summoned a big green apple to him..

"Better to be a grouch of a brother than king of the fools," George snapped back, but waved off Fred's defensive comment. "Have you seen Ginny? Harry boy here has gone and lost her and I think he believes she's left the house." He scowled at Harry now too. He wanted to scowl at everyone.

"Well, if she left the house it wouldn't be my fault, George... she's a big girl... I'm not her guardian, despite what else I am to her..." Harry said. He went upstairs quickly and searched the house, not finding Ginny. He returned to the kitchen to the twins. "Nowhere."

George sat up straighter in his chair when Harry returned. "What do you mean? Where would she go? Did she say anything to you before she left? You were the last to see her, Harry..." George clenched his fist around the back of his chair, determined not to go into crazy older brother overdrive and start getting frantic.

"Well... we were, um..." Harry said, not wanting to tell the two Weasley boys exactly what they had been doing before Ginny left. But, maybe that was why she left...? Had he really upset her that much? "We were talking about our relationship... and when we would be ready for certain... things." Harry looked down and braced himself for how the twins would react.

George made a face. "Harry, there are things I want to know about my sister, and things I never want to hear. The next words out of your mouth better be, 'And we decided to wait until we're married and she's turned 35,' or I'm going to hex you until you stop moving." George ruffled his hair and put his head on his arm. "And that doesn't answer where she is."

"We actually didn't decide anything right then, but maybe that's why she left? Maybe I made her angry or something... she seemed kind of down, I guess..." Harry said, eager to change the subject.

George smirked at Harry. The poor daft boy really didn't have any idea how not to tick off the older brothers. "So, what you're saying is that after you discussed when you were going to sleep with my sister, you then made her angry enough to walk out of this house into certain danger?"

Harry blushed, but kept going with the changing the subject deal. "I don't know. But she's gone. She probably was just... wnating to get out of the house or something.

Fred nearly choked on his apple. He would of spoke up, but he had peeling stuck in his throat from way back when Harry said he and Ginny were discussing their sex life. A look of absolute horror was plastered on his face as George and Harry went on and on about it. Fred was turning a nice shade of blue, before George noticed and gave him a great whap on the back, clearing Fred's airways.

"First off...let's never put the words 'Ginny', 'bed', 'ready' and 'sleep' in the same sentence EVER again. It's bad for my health. Secondly, Ginny obviously has a death wish and has no respect for any of us. It's not fair for her to keep running off like this. Even I, Fred the King of Fools, flooed Dumbledore before leaving. I was told 'no', but that's not that point. I guess she forgot that we just retrieved Alicia's body because Voldemort wants Ginny. " Fred, though not acting it, was very worried. He couldn't take something happening to her. It was just be the end of him...

"I think we should floo Dumbledore. Let him try and talk some sense into her, because it's obvious that our concern for her life means nothing. "

"Yes, flooing Dumbledore sounds like a great idea..." Harry mumbled, looking at his feet. He had never really pictured himself having this conversation with Fred and George. However, he was saved by his embarassment by Ron and Hermione who walked into the kitchen at the perfect time.

"Ron... no," Hermione was telling Ron. They had met in the hallway upstairs and Ron was planning a trip to the Leaky Cauldron. "I will not go with you and I won't allow you to go, either." She saw that George, Harry, and Fred were there. "Will you tell them he is not allowed to leave the house?" She looked pointedly at Fred, seeing him, for some reason, as the one with the most authority in the room.

"Come on, 'Mione..." Ron pleaded, not looking at his brothers. He knew if he could get Hermione's approval, she would somehow manage to convince the others. However, Ron was thick enough to think maybe he COULD convince Hermione to break the rules. "Pleeeease?" He draped his arm around her neck and looked up at her with puppy eyes.

"Well, you heard the women, Ron. You can't go. You know better than that..."Fred said plainly. Fred stared at Ron's arm around Hermione. He knew it was stupid, but he couldn't stand it. So, he took care of it. Non chalantly he got up from his stool, and went over to the two of them. He put himself in front of Ron, bumped him with his bum and knocked him back, replacing Ron's arm with his own. Fred walked Hermione over to where he was sitting and sat her on the stool where he had been. "Ginny is missing in action." Fred said, letting Hermione know what was up. "Harry here was about to go Floo Dumbledore." He gave Harry an authorative look and placed a hand on Hermione's shoulder.

"Since our younger sister is missing," George pointed Harry towards the fireplace with a frown, "Perhaps this would be a good time for you to put your raging hormones and insane jealousy away, hmmm?" George looked innocently at his twin, but he was just seething. If they kept this up, he'd be forced to physically remove Hermione from the house and ruin his friendship with the most important person in his life.

Ron was puzzled by Fred's odd behavior about Hermione. He shrugged and said, "Well, tehn, maybe I'll just go all by myself," He said in a somewhat childish and whiny way. He left the room before he turned back, peeking around the doorway. "If any of you want to come, I'm going to the Leaky Cauldron." He apparated with a pop before anyone could stop him.

Hermione glared at the spot Ron had just been with narrowed eyes. "He makes me so angry... you'd think with his disregard for the rules he might be... he might be... George or someone!" She said.

Harry was pushed to the fireplace and grabbed some floo powder, throwing it into the already burning fire. The last thing he heard at Grimmauld Place was a loud pop, as he stuck his head into the fire, obviously meaning Ron was serious about his little trip. His head stopped spinning as Dumbledore's office came into view.

George smirked at the girl, in her obvious attempt to make him mad. She was just proving her ignorance of all that Fred was in her attempts. "Did you hear that, Gred? Mione thinks that I'm the irresponsible one with a flagrent disregard for the rules." George's grin broadened and he leaned against the table where he was now seated. "I'll have you know, little girl, that anyone who knows us well knows that Fred is the mastermind, and I'm the detail man. Fred is the one with the... what was it? Disregard for the rules. Although I don't like them much either." He winked at his twin.

Fred sighed. He could see this was going to cause problems, but he didn't know they'd be this bad. They both had a point and Fred was stuck dead in the middle. He looked back and forth between them both. So, Fred chose neutral ground. "So, when you two get done with the battle of the wits, can we please acknowledge that things are falling apart around here? Our two youngest siblings just left the house....And I sound like Percy. Who's up for a drink?" Fred squeezed Hermione's shoulder, did a little jump where he clicked his heels together and went to the cabinet to get the secret fire whiskey stash. He unplugged the top and guzzled a bit and threw the bottle to George.

Hermione sighed and jumped up, taking the bottle of firewhiskey from George. "This is not going to help." She took the cap from Fred and sealed the bottle, putting it back into the cabinet. "And you..." She turned back to face George, "Need to stop referring to me as a little girl. I am an adult and just because I am younger than you does not mean I am a child!"

George rose and retrieved the bottle, tapping Hermione's nose lightly with his finger as he passed her by. "Then act like one, Mione. We can't do any good while we wait for Harry to finish with Dumbledore, and Fred and I can hold our liquor. We're adults too." He took off the cap, threw back the bottle and took a sip. When he was done, he tossed it back on the table towards Fred.

Fred looked between them both again. They were both playing games with him and yet, he seemed to be the only one not having fun. He wanted a drink..he wanted a lot to drink..but not just so George could prove a point. Fred, once again, was torn. "You two...leave me out of this." Fred grabbed the bottle and left the kitchen and went into the living area to see if Harry had made any progress.

"I AM acting like an adult, George! You're the one who's not. When you're faced with problems, you want alcohol. Like that will make it better. It won't." She watched Fred leave the room and then turned back to George. "What is your problem?"

Harry pulled his head out of the fire and ht the back of his head on the fireplace. He rubbed the back of his head as Fred enetered the room with a bottle of firewhiskey. "Dumbledore wasn't there..."

"You're wearing blinders, Mione. I'm not trying to ruin your life, I'm trying to save you from ruining it yourself. You keep insulting me and the things I am, but are you totally ignoring the fact that Fred is that way too? Or does it not matter because your heart is involved?" George sat on the counter and studied her for a minute. "Why am I the one trying to drink my problems away when Fred got it out in the first place?"

"You're wrong, there, George. You two aren't exactly alike. Fred will take things as they are and accept them. You will do whatever you can to have what you don't like manipulated until you see it as suiting your wants," Hermione was getting angry at George. He just assumed that he was right and he was playing this off like he was calm about it, which he probably was. He had no consideration for her feelings. He wouldn't even listen to her or take her seriously. She was just a child to him.
