After Ginny finishes her final year at Hogwarts, she's stunned to learn that Harry, who's been out of school a year, is engaged. Not wanting to return to the Burrow, which will be full of wedding planning and activity, Ginny escapes to Diagon Alley for a bit of independent living. The twins kindly take Ginny in and offer her a job, and she drags Neville and Luna along as flatmates. Who knows what will happen now that they are living independently?

This is a VERY loose storyline so far, but we want to have the chance to explore these characters as rising adults. I have all of the main characters filled at this point. If you are interested, go ahead and post your character idea. To be honest, I'd prefer HP characters (but not necesarily HRH) rather than made-ups... although a quality made-up is always welcome. If I don't feel your character will add to the story, I probably won't say yes. Also, we're quite serious about RPing, so if you aren't on at night EST, CST, or you will only post very sporadically, don't bother. This is advanced RPing, so YES, your posts need to be longer and more detailed and we DO care about your spelling and grammar.

"I have more brothers than should be legal, and not one of them is charming," Ginny replied drolly from her seat on the couch. "I dind't know where you wanted me to put my things, so I stuck them behind teh couch." She pointed to her trunk, which was tucked neatly into a corner. "I'm really putting you out, Tonks. Aren't I?"

Tara stopped folding her robes and turned to look at Snape. There was a smirk on her face, and she put one hand on her hip. "You want to help? That's lovely." She flicked her wand and a drawer popped open in the wardrobe. It was fully of rather lacy looking items of clothing. "You can help me pack clothes, or you can gather up my star charts. Which would you prefer?"

"No, not at all. In fact, I like having company. I had a pet rat once, but I accidentally sat on him," Tonks frowned. "I don't think I'd have to worry about squashing you, though," she laughed.

Snape walked over to the wardrobe, not really thinking about what packing clothing would entail. That was when he noticed the contents of the drawer which she had opened. His face flushed a bit and he walked over, instead, to the star charts. Under normal circumstances he might have suggested something but, right now, all he could think about was how there was a little girl in the other room who wanted him to help her get a little brother. His normally impassive face had a pensive look to it as he pondered the implications of the surprisingly deep conversation he had had with the child.

Ginny was relieved at Tonks' words. "No, I'd definitely bite you if you tried to sit on me," she responded with a laugh. "Which brother stopped you? Probably Ron... he's always in someone's business." She quirked an odd smile at the thought of her just older brother and settled deeper into the couch. "Where do you want me, Captain?"

Tara watched Snape with interest, and was surprised by teh strange flicker of emotions that crossed his face. She couldn't read them all, and she knew he wouldn't tell her what he was thinking. Instead, she crossed and pulled the unmentionables out of the drawer herself. She studied them for a moment before crossing back to her trunk. Once they were deposited, Tara moved back and wrapped her arms around Snape where he stood by her desk. "It's a bit of a surprise, isn't it? Considering what I wear day to day?" Without waiting for a response, she added, "I'll be back soon. I have some research to do tonight, and I want to spend time with you."

"Well," said Tonks, walking into the sigle, yet spacious, bedroom, with piles already forming. "I was going to put in a bunk bed but, I think there might be room for two separate beds, if you prefer. And there are, conveniently enough, two closets already. So, just throw your stuff in and make yourself at home."

As she and Ginny began dragging her the stuff from the living room to the bedroom, Tonks explained about what happened at the house, "So, it was actually George who stopped me and, infortunately, I kinda broke down and ended up shouting at him."

Snape relaxed as Tara's arms wrapped around him. "No, it's not the lacey neglige. Though, I do look forward to return," he said, not really wanting to voice his thoughts.

Ginny hung her owl's cage by the window and turned to face Tonks. "Well, don't worry about hurting his feelings. George rolls with the punches far better than Fred does, in my opinion, although they are both pretty easy going. He probably kind of enjoyed it. He used to love getting into shouting matches with Katie Bell in the Common Room, and then snogging with her on the couch afterwards." Ginny shrugged.

Tara reached up and pinched his lower lip with her fingers, smiling gently within his embrace. "I'll wear whatever you want. What's wrong, Severus?"

"Well then, I'm glad we didn't get into any shouting matches. I don't particularly have any desire to be snogging any of your brothers on any couches. Though, the last time I saw Charlie..." Tonks shook her head and smiled. "Anyway, how does it feel to be a liberated woman?"

"Your daughter displays an amazing depth for a child," he replied, moving his hands to her upper arms and holding her there for a moment while he looked at her.

Ginny cocked her head, weighing her options in persuing the Charlie line of thinking. Charlie was so much fun and could use a hearty, strong woman like Tonks, but he was reckless with himself and others. She didn't want to think about it yet. "I like it so far. The eating is grand, the accomdations are a far call from the last place, and the company is brilliant." She cast a look around the room, which was messy. "How 'bout we say that in exchange for you letting me stay here for now, I'll keep the place picked up? I know a few mean cleaning spells."

Tara felt as if Snape were pulling her away from him, and she wondered what she had done wrong. What had she said? Was caring about him not license to pry into his personal matters? "Wh.... yes, she does. She's very clever. She sees things other people don't, I suppose. Are you upset about her comments earlier?"

Fred led Hermione deeper into the kitchen. He put her between himself and George and put a hand on each of her shoulders. "Well...what's up, Georgy boy?"

"No, not upset... Thoughtful, perhaps," he responded before indulging himself in a taste of her lips.

"Oh, that would be brilliant. I'm not too good with these household type spells," Tonks replied and then, suddenly jumped and ran out of the room. When she came back, she was carrying a wireless which was set for WWN, the Weird Sisters live program just starting. "I nearly forgot, you don't mind do you?"

George shrugged from his sitting position, not even able to stomach the thought of turning and looking at the two of them together. "Tonks just wanted us to know that Ginny's gone to stay with her. I suppose someone ought to tell Harry." He didn't volunteer to do it, instead staying and staring at the now normal-colored flames Tonks had just disappeared into.

Tara disentangled herself and looked up at Snape through heavy-lidded eyes. "You're trying to distract me. It's working quite well, actually." She leaned in to kiss him again, but a noise from the next room distracted her. "Dani! We have to go, Severus. Let me get Dani settled, and I'll come back to finish this... discussion." She shouted Dani's name and clicked her trunk shut on the bed.

Ginny shook her head. "I don't get to listen to the WWN much anymore. Missed it all through Hogwarts, but I used to listen all the time with Mum before I started." She bit her lip at the thought of her mother worrying over her and sat on the bed Tonks had drawn up for her.

"Don't worry, Ginny, I told George everything and he'll make sure everyone knows you are safe," Tonks said, sitting in a chair and propping her feet on Ginny's bed.

"I'll be waiting in my chambers," Snape said, getting ready to slip out the door when Dani came bounding into the room.

Hermione put her hands over Fred's hands that were on her shoulders. She was feeling rebellious and wanted so badly for George to see them and know she wasn't changing her mind. "Why don't you tell Harry, George?"

"Tell me what?" Harry asked, walking in with a slight headache because of hitting his head on the mantel earlier. "Did you all find Ginny yet? I'm starting to miss her." He casually strolled over to the cabinets and started looking for a glass.

Ginny grinned ruefully. "I appreciate that, but I'm the baby in the family. They find it hard to believe I can actually feed myself, let alone do anything else." She listened to the WNN for a moment, until a song came on. "Who is this? They sound familiar."

Tara's eyes lingered meaningfully on Snape before she turned back to Dani. "Alright, love, we're going to travel by portkey again. We're going to stay with some friends. I think you'll like them, although you mustn't touch anything in the house without asking," she stopped her instructions, looking at the child for the first time. "What did you pack?" Her bag overflowed with toys and books, with nary a piece of clothing in sight. Just then, she felt the tug on her navel, and both of them disappeared in a swirl.

George was glad Harry had appeared, because he didn't have to look at the others. Hermione was taunting him subtley, he could hear it in her voice. "You look concerned, Harry. I"ll have you know that Ginny left and is staying with Tonks. I guess she's going to go get a job at the Ministry."

Snape left the room as they disappeared and headed back down to the dungeon. He was actually quite torn that they had gone, he was already missing Tara, and even Dani, which surprised him even more than his missing Tara. Perhaps he'd brave the childishness of the house to see the rather mature young girl.

Tonks got up, her mouth hanging open, and leaned over to slap Ginny, playfully, on the side of the head. "I dont' believe you!" she shouted. "The Weird Sisters!"

"Well, doesn't that beat all." Fred said as he took a seat on the stool at the table. Fred lifted Hermione up to sit on his lap and continued on. "You have to give the ole girl credit for finding an out to this place..But, sorry mate,"he said addressing Harry. "I guess you and my sister, my young innocent sister, will have to discuss your 'readiness' later. Too bad...yes..just too bad.." Fred cracked his knuckles and looked George's way whose eyes were anywhere but where he and Hermione sat.

Ginny gasped and grabbed Tonks' arm. "Well, I haven't heard them in a while, and this is a new song. Cut the former school girl some slack." She twisted Tonks' arm a bit in a way that worked on her brothers and flipped her onto the floor.

Dani nearly fell over when they reappeared, but her mother caught her and steadied her. "What are we... oh." The house appeared out of nowhere. It was gloomy and dark. "Do we HAVE to stay here? I bet we could stay at Hogwarts if I begged Mr. Dumbledore. He's very nice." Her mother clapped a hand over Dani's mouth and looked up and down the street before hustling her up the stairs and into the house.

Harry turned around, almost dropping the glass that was in his hands. "She... left? Just... left? She's going to live with Tonks. Why? Why would she do that? Did you talk to her? Did she mention me? Is this my fault?" Harry asked, quite irrationally. Maybe their talk had disturbed Ginny so much that she had to move out...?

Hermione was just itching for George to look her way. She felt somewhat guilty, though, because Harry was freaking out about Ginny and she was sitting there... in Fred's lap... wating for George to look at them.

Tonks suddenly felt herself falling to the floor but, she did have the presence of mind to grab a pillow off the bed on her way down. The pillow came down on Ginny's head and Tonks giggled as it split open and feathers began to fly.

"Are you done?" George quirked an eyebrow at Harry. "I talked to Tonks, not Ginny, so i have no idea why she left. But obviously SOMETHING made her unable to stay here anymore, right? And I didn't talk to her so..." His ribbing of Harry was interrupted by a sound at the front door.

The front hall was deserted, and Tara let Dani go. They set down the trunks, and Tara gave a sigh of relief. They'd made it safe and...

"Mother!" Dani stomped her foot. "I'm not a baby. Don't pull me around like..." The curtains around Mrs. Black's portrait flew back and the picture began to scream at them. Dani gave a great cry and flew into her mother's arms.

Ginny stared at the flurry of feathers around her head. Being a Weasley meant she knew how to repair a pillow, too, so she had no fear in grabbing the pillow off her bed and swinging it at Tonks. It hit her in the face, but the swing carried Ginny off the bed and to the floor.

"Harry...calm down. Sheesh...I'm embarrassed for you, just go pour yourself a glass of tea and sit before you hurt yourself." Fred stood and let Hermione have the seat. He was about to guide delirious Harry over to a seat whenever the front door opened and Mrs.Black went off. Fred's eyes narrowed and his wand was out in no time. "Are we expecting anyone?"

Tonks laughed and and used her wand to first repair and then, duplicate the pillow in her hand. She used both pillows in her assault on the youngest Weasley who was now on the floor with her.

Harry felt a sinking sensation in his stomach and heard someone in the hallway. Thinking it might be Ginny, he walked to where the noise was quickly. "Who are you?" He asked, rather rudely to a woman and a little girl. He was followed by Hermione and George who came to see what was going on.

Ginny screamed and rolled away from the onslaught. "Not fair. You are using super secret Auror training moves on me!" She reached the other wall and had no where to go. Instead, she grabbed ahold of a jumper sticking out from the closet and threw it at Tonks.

"All I did was repair the pillow and perform a simple duplication charm," Tonks laughed but, handed Ginny one of the pillows before hitting her on the head again.
