Ready for your first muggle studies lesson of the term? Professor Meredith Moxley is. She's arranged the space so that rows of tables are situated around the room, two chairs at each one. All tables are facing front and the arrangement has put Professor Moxley's desk, and the large floating white board just behind it, directly in your line of sight. She is, after all, the main attraction.

You'll find your professor sitting behind her desk, humming a tune to herself as she fiddles with the bright orange vest she's wearing for this occasion. The zipper in the front appears to be stuck but NO WORRIES, she's got this covered! Why don't you go find a seat and class will be getting started shortly. Oh and don't forget to check out the board! Your first assignment is already up there.

"Ready," she said, pinning her arms to her sides. If she wrote home about this, she could see her family's reactions already. Milton would laugh, mum would say she was 'happy to see Evie having so much fun', and dad would continue to wonder what was wrong with public education.

Rats! Adi was hoping he'd been the one doing the wrapping. Come on, who wouldn't want to wrap their besite in bubble wrap? What fun that would be! But it looked like Benny was going to be having that fun. He didn't mind. "Sure. I've got no problem with that. Maybe Professor Moxley will let me have some of the bubble wrap after class is done so I can wrap YOU in it."

"Okay go for it. I'm all set.'' This was going to be fuuuun! "Try not to pop all the bubble thingies,'' Adi kidded. He was itching to do just that. Did people know how awesome popping the wraps was?!

Anywho, the Badger was ready. Yes! totally ready!

Last but not least, to complete her care-package, Amur folded up a square of bubble wrap and wrapped another piece into a long rectangular shape. These she taped together and then carefully fit over Abby's head: the square serving as the helmet proper and the rectangle piece serving as a 'chin-strap'.

Taking a step back, Amur grinned at her handi-work. "You look like a right Michelin Woman." And she only knew what that was, because her mother had taken her to the tire shop to get her car tuned. "How do you feel? Comfy? Mobile? Anything sitting funny?"

SPOILER!!: Unicorn!AJ

The Gryffindor smiled at the younger Gryffindor and-- Not another fist bump, AJ. He was terrible at those. But oh, no fist bump? Yeah, okay. Awesome! Except... There was definitely something off, and he had noticed the slight hesitation on her part too. Maybe she was just having an off day or something. This girl would never miss a fist bump opportunity. Wasn't really like her. Though, everyone really seemed to be having off days later so he wouldn't inquire about it. Just a regular old day here in Muggle Studies. Everything going smoothly too thankfully... So far. Zander had been worried about another Charms class repeat here. But everything was alright, for now.

"I... I reckon so, haven't ever given me a reason to think otherwise, yeah?" No. She was cool. He he sorta mostly trusted her. Sorta mostly. But ahem. ACTIVITY TIME YES? The Gryffindor turned his head at the sound of clapping and huh? Someone to be the parcel? Uh. Riiiight. Turning to AJ, the Gryffindor motioned towards the desk and began his way over leading the pair. "Soooo.... You wanna be bubble wrapped? Or would you uh, prefer me to be the one wrapped up?"

Zander would much rather not have to deal with bubble wrap thank you very much. But uh, he was willing if AJ preferred it that way. Had a lot of practice walking around in a restricting costume thanks to his brilliant idea for Astronomy. And the vest. Someone had to wear the vest too.

So Adi was game with his decision.

Good...good. Benny could have some fun with his best friend while it was usually him in the passenger seat. And then Adi mentioned getting him back if the professor allowed them the extra supplies and he tilted his head curiously. "I suppose it would be only fair." Two besties taking turns to make each other parcels of bubble wrap. Which reminded him that he needed to grab a piece to use on the Hufflepuff. And a piece of tape which he used to attach one end of the piece of wrap onto the back of his friend.

One part done.

"Here goes..." he said as he took the free end of the bubble wrap and began to walk around Adi, including the boy's arms into the bundle. "Not too tight...right?" he asked, as he continued on around the Hufflepuff, making sure it was secure but not toooo tight.

Margo hadn't heard back from the person she had asked to be partners....maybe they hadn't heard her, but either way Margo didn't want to be left out. So going up to the desk Margo grabbed a vest to put on, she was not going in bubble wrap that was for sure.

And that's when Margo began her search again for a partner. There had to be some one free right?

Hehe. "Goody! I'll mail you to Dragonland.'' Eh... where was Dragonland? Did it even exist? Adi wasn't sure. Shhh! Don't tell the bestie that. He might get disappointed.

Adi stood still and patiently as the Gryffindor began enveloping his middle including his hands in the bubble wrap. It was a good thing his hands were being wrapped... he so badly wanted to pop that wrap!

"Nope, its all fine.'' He felt comfortable, his blood was flowing still... as far as he could tell. LOL. This was fun!

Awesome, Eden wanted to be her partner. Lux definitely approved of that. "Sure thing, partner!" They would do an amazing job for sure.

Professor Moxley gave the instructions, and this seemed like an interesting activity. Pretending to be a parcel, huh. "I can be the parcel if you want," she told Eden. "I don't mind being wrapped up. Unless you want to do it?" She was fine with either role but just wanted to say that she didn't object to being a piece of mail for the sake of the lesson.

So Tia hadn't been fully focused and the next thing she knew they were up and picking partners to pack up ... or just wrap in bubble wrap. The fourth year was about to turn to one of the few people she trusted thus far at school but frowned when her table-mate was nowhere to be seen and then frowned again when she spotted him over there with a younger girl from his house. She would not be jealous. Noway.

Sigh.

Tempted to wrap herself up in bubble wrap and play both the postman and the parcel, she was about to when she noticed a small Hufflepuff girl also searching for a partner. Eh, may as well. Hufflepuffs WERE known for their trustworthiness.

"Hi. Need a partner?" Tia asked, approaching the girl. Cause it would be foolish if she misinterpreted.

She didn’t tell Hady that, though. It should’ve been obvious, but then, it was okay if her dorm mate didn’t realize it. Being ginger was complicated, and being Brooklyn was even more complicated. At least green worked with it all. “I’ll be the parcel, okay?,” she replied, sending another dark look toward the box of vests. It meant she would really have to trust her, but if bubble wrap as involved she wouldn’t get hurt. Plus, it was fun to pop the bubbles, if they were able to do that once the activity was finished.

That was the spirit. He pretty just told her that she hadn't killed him or anything yet so he's not completely worried. Way to have faith in your fellow lion, Zander. Way to have faith. "There's still time." Kidding. She was totally kidding. "I'll keep you safe, dude." He was in good hands. Nothing to fear dear prefect!

Man, this professor was cool. AJ listened intently to what it was they were going to be doing and as soon as she heard bubble wrap her mood perked up. She still wasn't up to her normal unicorn fancying self, but she was up there.

AJ followed her prefect up to the desk, and smiled at Zander. Did he even have to ask? Bubble wrap. AJ. Yes. This was happening, and she couldn't be happier about it. Did Zander not care to be bubble wrapped? She sighed. It looked like AJ was going to get this boy out of his shell. "Of course I want to be bubble wrapped." She said it as if it was a stupid question.

"Looks like I am going to have to be the trusting one." And Zander was in luck because she totally trusted him. Yup, she had just decided right that instant that she trusted him completely. AJ stood with her arms out so he could get her nice and wrapped. See how helpful she could be?

One of them had to be the parcel? Hayden immediately wanted to do that. She had no idea what that would entail but she wanted to be the parcel. She wanted to be mailed somewhere. Hypothetically speaking of course, because she was sure they weren't going to mail actual people out of the class. The idea was even more awesome when she saw that the parcel's would be wrapped in bubble wrap. What even? What were they going to do? What could make sense? Hayden had absolutely no idea but she was still very excited.

"Could I be the parcel? Or would you prefer that part?" That was directed to Kate. What if the little Ravenclaw really wanted to be the parcel too? Hayden would give her a chance to speak up so they could decide fairly if that were the case. Hopefully Kate wanted to be the postperson so neither of them were disappointed. She didn't want that to happen to anyone.

Cue raised eyebrow.

"Well as long as you do it the muggle way." There was no way Conrad, or any other owl for that matter, could carry him. But Benny supposed that was the whole point given what class they were in and what they were talking about, even if said moment might happen after the lesson.

The Gryffindor simply nodded as Adi assured him he was okay. No chance of the Hufflepuff becoming a squished burrito that way. Soon enough he had managed to walk all the way around the best friend with the bubble wrap, the free end reaching over the other end to cover up any and all gaps. Reaching for another piece of sellotape, Benny used it to tape them together before walking back in front of Adi.

"Comfy?"

Janelle watched Angel put on the orange vest and then strike a pose. She looked at her with a straight face, paused for a moment and then said, "You look maaaahvelous darling." "Orange is definitely your color."

Then came the wrapping. Janelle couldn't help but laugh as Angel covered her in bubble wrap. It was kind of a weird feeling and she wondered if she would start to feel hot and sweaty soon. Probably. When Angel asked if she was OK, Janelle laughed. "I'm fine, but I kind of want to roll on the floor and make the bubbles pop." She knew that wasn't a good idea, but it sure was tempting.

"What do you think we'll have to do for the main activity?", she asked Angel. Janelle couldn't begin to guess.

Kate watched Professor Moxley as she waved her wand this way and that. Whoa. This looked kind of cool. Really cool, actually. Kate just might like Muggle Studies a whole lot better than she thought she would. Then came the directions, so Kate looked toward Moxley and listened carefully. Ohh, a post man and some parcel? Cool, she wanted to be a the parcel! Being wrapped in bubble wrap sounded really fun!

She turned toward Hayden to say just that, but her friend had beat her to it. Aww, man. Oh, well. Kate decided not to say a thing about wanting to be the parcel and instead said. "Yeah, that's cool. I wanted to be the post man anyway." Kate turned and led them to the professor's desk, where she pulled out a vest that looked like it would fit her and put it on. "You ready to get wrapped in bubble wrap?" she asked with a grin.

She gestured toward the bubble wrap so that Hayden could pick up the material that would soon act like her cocoon. Hmm. Being the post man was starting to sound like fun, too.

Dot was totally torn... wear the boss vest, or let the cutie older boy wrap her in bubble wrap. Or she could wear the boss vest AND wrap the boy in bubble wrap. That seemed like a good compromise.

Unless he wanted to wear the vest?

Like was complicated. She scooted around him to the front of the room, where she retrieved the vest and a handful of bubble wrap. "You choose... mail person or package." She held out both hands for him to choose. "Oh yeah... what are you called?"

Oh that was good. Hayden was glad Kate didn't have dreams of being the parcel too. Now everything worked out well for both of them. She smiled cheerfully at her partner and followed her to the professor's desk. Vest for Kate. Bubble wrap for her.

"That sure is bright. I bet I could still see you even if the lights were off." That didn't really matter, because the lights were not off. Hayden was just making an observation. Though technically she might not be able to see which person was Kate if the lights were off. There were a lot of people wearing vests so she might get confused. Oh yeah, not important.

Bubble wrap was important. Hayden grabbed a roll - hopefully there was enough to wrap around her. She did not pop it. She refused. Okay, so she might have popped one corner but it was barely noticeable and she barely did it on purpose. Just a little because she couldn't help it. But Kate could do it too. Hayden handed her the bubble wrap and stood very still with her arms to her sides.

"Okay I'm ready, postwoman. Wrap up your package."

Text Cut: Hayden!

Kate laughed at Hayden's comment about the vest. "Tell me about it. Remind me not to wear this thing if the castle's ever under attack," she said with a grin. She doubted that would happen, but she decided to joke about it anyway. It would be funny as long as that attack never did really happen. Never mind attack. How did she get that on her mind anyway? Bubble wrap. She needed to focus on bubble wrap. She also couldn't help but wonder what they would be doing next.

Kate took the bubble wrap from Hayden. "You bet," she said, getting a mock evil look on her face. "Ready or not, here it comes!" She grabbed one end of the bubble wrap and began walking around and around Hayden. She made sure to leave the parts open that the professor had said to. She didn't want a burrito Hayden. She wanted a walking and talking Hayden. Kate tucked the bubble wrap under Hayden's arms then began wrapping it around them, as well. She then headed toward Hayden's legs and finished off the wrapping.

She may have accidentally popped one or two bubbles in the process, but bubble wrap Hayden would still be okay, right? "Mmkay. All done," she said.

Margo smiled as girl approach. Thank Merlin!!! She had a partner!!! She was staring to get a little worried, she had being picked last! It wasn't nice that's for sure. "Yes I do!!! Thanks!" Margo said smiling sticking her hand out for a shake. "I'm Margo by the way!" She told her, by the looks of it, her new friend was ready to be wrapped in the bubble wrap.

"Mind if I wrap you up?" Margo asked teasing and smiling, she was already having the time of her life!!

Heh. That would be amusing. Hayden imagined something attacking the castle, running through looking for little kiddies (to eat maybe) and chasing a bunch of glowing vests. Not a smart fashion choice for the occasion. But Kate was a Ravenclaw so she'd be smart enough not to do that. Not that the castle was likely to get attacked, but if it every came up.

Anyway, bubble wrap. Hayden stayed as still as possible as Kate wrapped it around her. She only giggled once because it ticked her stomach. She lost the use of her arms first. They were pinned to her side under the bubble wrap. One thing she had to trust Kate to do was unwrap her when they were done with the activity.

When everything was done, Hayden tested it out. She was supposed to be able to walk. She took a step forward and found that while she could step, she could not take very big steps. She ended up waddling like a penguin, because the bubble wrap was on part of her legs. She could jump too. Hayden hopped a few times for practice. See? She didn't even need to walk at all.

As Hady took her suggestion without question, Brooklyn only nodded. She didn’t feel like she needed to actually say anything, and it meant she didn’t have to get any closer to the ugly vests than she absolutely had to. That definitely worked for her, so she just waited where she was as her dorm mate went over to the boxes and pulled out a vest and a length of bubble wrap. It didn’t look much better on Hady, but at least with her hair it didn’t clash. And hopefully neither of them had to wear it for very long. Honestly, it still looked more like a vest for directing traffic than something a mailperson wore to her anyway. Maybe the professor didn’t know as much as she thought.

“Course,” she replied as Hady returned. She was as ready to be burrito-ed up in bubble wrap as anyone might be. Raising her arms up to shoulder height, she waited for the bubble wrap to be put up against her side so she could be wrapped, staying perfectly still the whole time. Plus, that way she could always pop the bubbles at the top of the burrito once she was wrapped, since it meant her hands would be free. That and she could catch herself if she fell, instead of just trusting her partner to catch her, or trusting herself to bounce. She’d much rather depend on herself.

"Well. Come on, Bubbleboy!" Zahra was already one arm into one of the SWEET vests. "You know you're the parcel," like it was ever even a question that ZAHRA wouldn't be the DELIVERER.
