graphics by sweetpinkpixie The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Flibbertigibbet’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves which are equipped with the resources and materials required to complete any homework assignments. Fixed to the wall by the windows you will find the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

The other girl's words broke her from her light thoughts. Blending in was good sometimes. "I wouldn't argue that," she said, bobbing her head to the side slightly. Her hands stroked the ends of her hair and she lifted them up to examine her status on split ends. But hearing the movement of papers again, Schuyler glanced over at Alice as she poured over her.. homework? Homework, probably.
She moved her head back and let the crackling fire do some of the talking.

Blair climbed through the portrait hole, finally home. She found herself a comfy chair by the fire and flopped down in it. While she had some free time Blair figured it would be a good idea to begin her herbology homework.
Okay, lets get some hot air on the go. She pulled out her wand and started off by practicing the wand movement. Okay so little clockwise circles, that was easy enough. Now the spell: Siccus Aerous.
Blair moved her wand in two little clockwise circles and spoke "Siccus Aerous." Hot air started blowing out the end of her wand. Awesome, this could come in handy, especially after I've tried out one of the pedalo's down by the lake.

Plus, they've talked about Barcelona before.
"And we should probably hang out with Lana some because she'll be starting school in the fall."

He's been curious and mostly prepared for his stay in the castle. He took his time surveying with a couple of his friends up until they parted each to the common room they were meant to stay in. The term common room had been unclear and weird to him. But as he got to see it he understood what it meant. If anything it looked like a cozy and comfortable place and quite simple. It was a bit dim, too, he noticed. Or he might have been accustomed to the bright rooms in the Palace back in France.
Slowly he made his way between armchairs occupied by the other student until he found an armchair near the fireplace then lowered his body sitting on its arm and resting his shoulder against its back.
With his shoulders hunched, he looked out on the entire place trying to find familiar faces from his visit to Hogsmeade or maybe catch someone's eye. He of course hoped to meet as many students as he could seeing that his stay could be called lengthy.

After checking under her bed and every corner of her dorm, she was willing to assume that her kneazle wasn't there. This meant he had to be down in the Common Room. Obviously. Where else would he be? Unless he snuck through the portrait hole the minute someone else decided to crawl out....merlin she hoped that wasn't the case. He'd be near impossible to find considering she had no idea which direction he'd have gone off in.
At the bottom of the stairs she got on all fours, trying to get a better look under the couches lining the Common Room. Please be here. "Feeeeelix? Here boy, I'll give you cuddles if you come back. Felix?" You know, just in case bribes worked.
Lex crawled along the floor, crooning her neck up a bit every now and then to check the couches themselves just in case. It was while doing this that she spotted a familiar face in the Common Room. Familiar because yes, she'd met him and he said he would be staying with the Gryffindors but it just seemed so weird with him actually sitting THERE. "Hey Sebastien." She hoisted herself onto her knees then lifted the cushions of a particular couch. Nope. Not there. "Looks like you found you're way here nicely enough. Any thoughts on it?" He could talk while she went kneazle hunting.

Vilhelm stood in the middle of the common room, looking around with interest. Yes, it seemed like a fine place to stay. He switched arms with his heavy luggage bag and shifted on his feet, unsure of where to go.
He moved a bit closer to the fire. It was nice and cozy here at Hogwarts, yes, but he still longed for the Durmstrang one at home. He looked around, wondering if he recognized anyone. He probably wouldn't, but he thought that he had met a Gryffindor in the post office in Hogsmeade. Oh, well. Vilhelm inched his way over to a chair and sat down, avoiding anyone's eye.

Her eyes were blue, almost clear looking, and it was easy to tell she was about 15.
And pretty. Pretty, too. Enough to turn heads. "You were one of the blind mice at that party." She didn't pay the others in the room so much as a glance as they entered. The captain caught their faces out of the corner of her eye- a Durmstranger and a French boy who was rather attractive. But she could inspect them later. There was already a specimen for her right now. "Schuyler, right?" Right. Alice knew.

Long day was long. Tag went over to the couch and spotted from the corner of his eye Biter talking to some girl. Who was that girl? He didn't know. Was she important? Ehh. Anyway, closing his eyes Tag started to doze off until he quickly opened them again. Something was off in the common room. Giving it another quick glance he spotted a guy, one he didn't know and didn't look half as attractive as the leprechaun himself sitting on one of the chairs. The little blonde gave him a long stare. " Hiii???" He spoke up in a confused tone.

He shifted in his sitting position and swung a leg to the side straddling the armchair's arm.Hearing someone say his name, his head snapped to the source of the voice. It took him by surprise but when his eyes found the girl, he remembered her well, mostly because he hadn't met many other people. "'ello," he replied back watching her as she was....whatever she was doing. "..Alexa.." he quickly added flashing her a bright smile remembering her name. He also remembered that she had been one of the Hogwarts competitors. Ironically enough, she had went through the same task he had. But no, he wasn't going to congratulate. Don't be fooled by the smile.
"Eet's nice," he said with a slight shrug of his shoulders as he took a quick look around. He noticed one of the other visiting students and a bunch of other Gryffindor students. "What are you doing? He asked Alexa curiously tilting his head at her.
