The official home of the Lions, the Gryffindor common room, is found on the seventh floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The entrance to the common room is the portrait of the delightful Fat Lady, and in order to gain entrance to their home away from home, Lions must know the password and speak it to her.
This terms password is ‘Flibbertigibbet’.
Be sure to remember those words...and keep it a close secret, for it's the current password you'll need to speak in order for the Fat Lady to swing away from the hole and allow you to enter Gryffindor Tower. Once you're lucky enough to scramble through, you'll find that the common room is a circular area full of squashy armchairs and tables. To the side of the common room you will find the study tables and bookshelves which are equipped with the resources and materials required to complete any homework assignments. Fixed to the wall by the windows you will find the noticeboard for classes and other school announcements.
A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace takes up one side of the wall. It's the perfect place to relax and hang out after a long day of classes. If however you are in need of a nap a good night's rest then there are two doors leading off from the common room that open to spiral staircases. Boys dormitories are upstairs and to the right, while girls dormitories are upstairs and to the left. Be sure you don’t go breaking any of the rules by attempting to go up the wrong staircases. Boys don’t stand a chance of beating the enchanted staircase, and frankly girls should know better.
For whatever reason you're here, make sure you take good care of your home away from home. There's bound to be a perfect or your Head of House lurking in the shadows.

This made paying attention to everything much harder but she caught the hesitation in the 'but' and turned to face the girl again. "Hm?? You were about to say something? I'm sorry, I have a habit of being all over." Nodnodnod. Like right now when her hex would be all over that Durmstrang boy.
"I'm Lex by the way, and you are?" Remain friendly. That was key in a situation like this.
Oh, pity, she hadn't seen Felix either. That kneazle got some distance, she'd give him that but he'd be back, he always came back. Unless something terrible happened to him--Merlin she hopped not. "Keep a look out for him, especially if you brought a pet. He likes getting acquainted with them but not in the right way." Look at this. A perfectly normal conversation going on right here. Not at ALL like the Durmstrang boy who was about to find himself face to face with the Fat Lady. If she could find a way to change the password without the Head of House, one night wouldn't be the only length of suspension he got from inside.
For now, focus on being nice. Setting an example and not looking like she was anything like them. If anything, rude boy proved they were better. Not knowing the proper way of communicating with others, being intentionally rude, it said volumes and made her happy her father sent her here. "Are all your people this rude?" Karina was nice enough, not nice, nice enough. Lex wasn't so naive that she couldn't see the girl's constant reluctance but effort was made when it came to her so it was tolerable.
You wanna know who was nice? Sebastien. He was the nicest of the foreigners she'd run into but she was willing to chalk to all up to luck. They were all kinda distant, stand-offish mostly. Like they didn't want to be a part of them, which was fine, they didn't ask for them to come here, but the least they could do was be grateful. Hogwarts students could get nasty but they chose to be nice first and this was how they were repaid. Sigh.
"Not always." She gave a shrug, trying to consider the question. "But he's been doing it a lot more frequently lately and I'm worried he'll run off and get himself hurt somehow. He's not exactly the safest kneazle unless he's walking with me." Because one of them had to be responsible and he knew it wouldn't be her. Lex gave him a curious look. "Do you have a pet? Are you allowed them at Beauxbaton?" Had to be sure. From what Clio said, they sounded kinda strict on rules up there. Detention for trying to smuggle food to starving kids at Hogwarts, that was harsh.
SPOILER!!: Vilhelm and Tag
Tag was being good back, reaffirming the fact that she wouldn't in fact hesitate to remove him and any other rude people from their Common Room. It was theirs and no one bothered to ask if they were willing to share. They were, but NOT with rude people who felt they had more right than the actual residence here. That's not how it worked.
Her eyebrow raised high when the rude boy ignored Tag and it got even higher when he ignored her. Like she hadn't JUST been talking about the hospitality thing.
Ugh. Dense people annoyed her the most. Why couldn't they at least get a smart Durmstrang boy? It would have made this less irksome. As it stood, stupid and rude were a bad combination that they couldn't allow to remain and infect the rest of the Common Room. Lex got up from her spot on the carpet by Sebastien, wand now aimed directly at Vilhelm. "Technically," She was talking to Tag right now, completely ignoring Jake because he told her not to let him be there when she was doing something against the rules, "they can't blame us for this. We warned him fair and square." And a firm nod because it was the obvious truth.
"Levicorpus!"
Bliiiiiink. Angry girl, yes? Vilhelm had his wand up in an instant and muttered a "Protego." He glared at the girl. "So sorry, but I am reeeequired to sleeeep in zhis houze. My condolencez eef you zhink I vas rude." Because clearly, she was wrong. All he wanted to do was talk strategy with Karina.
He turned to Karina now, and muttered in Swedish, "Help?"

She could feel the gaze of the Durmstraggler back on her, but the Gryffindor had chosen to direct her attention towards Schuyler now instead, and Karina was ignored for the time being.
Blowing a little on the ink of her notes as to keep them from smearing, she focused on a sketch she'd done of a play while the other girl spoke. "You're in luck, then. Bentley is a good one." Herbology. Her assumption had been correct? Alice let her eyes wander back over to Schuyler. She didn't seem like the type to make facts about herself easy to guess.
Hm. It was mulled over in her head while she absentmindedly shaded in a Quaffle.
Schuyler smiled. That was the precise poem, yes. And the fact that the other girl named it without so much as a hesitation gave Schuyler the impression that Alice must have been somewhat well-versed in poetry. "Likewise," she answered. Her eyes remained on the fellow Gryffindor for a moment or two longer before they flickered to the fireplace. As nice as the roaring fire was right now, its warmth wasn't quite enough to keep Schuyler comfortable. She got cold when she wasn't moving around. So, with one hand, she reached up and grabbed the blanket that was on top of the back cushion.
Herbology. "She seems to be," the brunette agreed, spreading the blanket over her body and lying on her side again. Now she felt cozy. "Potions is also a good class." Now that they were on the subject of... subjects. She stoked the ends of her hair absently and her eyes glazed over just slightly. There were of course classes that she liked better than other ones, but which one would lend itself most useful to her career? She liked plants, namely flowers, but she had no desire to be a herbologist. She didn't want to be a professor. Not an auror or a wandmaker or a cursebreaker. Was it bad that she was nearing OWLs in her fifth year and was still completely unsure of what she wanted to do? Hmmm. No, she decided. Not quite yet. As these thoughts dispersed, she became aware of how Alice's quill looked more like it was being used to doodle than to write.
"So, why do you bite people?" This question had actually surfaced in her head way back when Dora initially informed her that her best friend was a biter. But now it had resurfaced, and she had the girl right before her to ask her.

Woooooow because a simple shield charm was gonna stop her from removing him. "No. You're not required to. Sleeping here's a privilege and you've just lost it." Lex corrected. They definitely did NOT have a right to stay here and if things continued like this, she was taking it up with their Head of House.
Lex shot him a derisive look. "I don't want your condolences, I want you out." The Gryffindor slipped her wand back in its holster then grabbed at the boy. "Gimme a hand here Tag. There's more than one way to kick a foreigner out." If they solely depended on magic, hats off to them, but she knew how to be physical as well. Enough years at a Muggle Primary school and you found that your problem solving skills improved greatly....or terribly depending on which side of the punch you were on.
But no, no hitting unless he resisted, just hauling his butt out of the Common Room.

And BLINK BLINK BLINK.
Lex tried to levitate the dude into the air but he quickly got out his wand and used the shield charm to stop that from happening. Wow. So much going on. Tag sat straight up on the couch when all of this happened, his mind much more quicker now.
Then the guy was saying he was sorry for being rude? A bit too late for that, yeah? Hey hey Lex! Tag was inwardly smirking at her words. She always knew what to say and yes she was right. It was a privilege but they had to earn the right to be sleeping here too. An by his actions it wasn't helping him much. "You have to earn the right to sleep here." Tag added. The guy could probably figure out why they were kicking him out.
An now Lex wanted Tag's hand in help. He stood up, but hesitated in spot. He didn't like the guy much, if, at all. So far, it didn't look like they'd have to be forcefully escorting him out. Just politely. An if people had stuff to say then he and Lex would just tell the headmistress or Bently. Going over to the other boy's side Tag grabbed him by the elbow, which was kind of hard cause everyone at Hogwarts seemed to be much taller than him, and peeked over at Lex. "Just outside Lex? Or are we taking him to the dungeons?"
Cause the dungeons seemed like a good place for this guy to be.
D'aww. Look at Jake playing nice with foreign kids. Anya liked when he was being responsible. Even though, she knew, he was really only introducing himself out of obligation. It was still cute.
The Gryffindor smiled up at the tall French kid. D'aww. Look at him being all tall and hand holdy.
"Seebastieen." Anya said slowly repeating his name. Not that she did it justice. French was just a pretty language.
Sébastien watched Anya as she repeated his name as the smile pulled at his lips revealing his very spotless, white teeth. "You got eet right," He told her ignoring the fact that she didn't. But he knew just how much girls liked and enjoyed compliments.
"Do you speak French?" he curiously asked, shoving one hand in his pocket and leaving the other one handing by his side.

He was finding out about Alexa's kneazle a lot and he doubted ever needing the information. However, it was good to know how the hogwartians treated their pets. Those details told a lot about a person. "I 'ope 'e is ok," he didn't really care but eh. "I do not 'ave one. Non," he answered her question. "But yes, we are allowed to 'ave zem, many of my friends do 'ave pets," he shared with her. "I 'ave noticed that eeevidently everyone 'as zem 'ere?" Or did the British just like to have pets to look after. He on the other hand, wasn't that kind of person.
Then he noticed Alexa getting busy with the other Gryffindor boy as the two of them pretty much...... ganged up on the Durmstrang boy. The french boy hadn't been paying attention from the beginning so he wasn't entirely sure of what was going on. But the scene intrigued him especially when wands got involved. Now he saw why the others saw the lions as reckless. Very unwise decision. "Eez eeverything alright?" Obviously not.

Anya beamed when she got it right. Woo! She was good at this.
She shook her head. "No." She didn't really know any foreign languages actually. Which, was weird. Most everyone she knew did. Jake knew some Spanish. Her brother knew Portuguese and Spanish. She knew English.
"I really like French though." And if he decided he just wanted to speak French, she'd totallllly listen. For days. She realllllly loved foreign languages.

"Potions?" She liked that subject as well? Alice tried to make out a sort of connection between brews and Herbology, but the only thing she could come up with was the mutual utilization of herbs and plants. Maybe Schuyler was just a green-thumbed kind of person.
Smiling faintly at the question, she began tapping her quill incessantly against the parchment for lack of anything better to do with her hands. "Why not?" It was as if people always assumed there was a reason as to why her teeth made appearances in Quidditch, and while there might have been, Alice wasn't one to just divulge information like that. Boring.
