"Oooooookay, soorry!" Sheesh, leave the kid alone. His eyes were CLOSED, it felt like an attack to him! Wait, was she....

GIVING HIM A FROG?

New best friend? "Oh, yes PLEEEEEEASE!!" He perked up a bit and took the one that she handed him. Taking off the packaging quickly, like a boss, Theodore moved so the frog jumped straight into his mouth. Yea, he was skilled.

"Bet they're annoying." Goodie-two-shoes' sprung to mind. Theodore laughed at the 'next time' comment. Yes, next time he threw chocolate frogs at Ravenclaws, it would be behind closed doors. MUAHAHAHA.

"Hellooww, I'm Theodore." Theodore the GREAT.

Wadda-what?

"I'm cool? Well, thank you kind sir." He was completely aware of his coolness, but he was glad to see that it was noticed so quickly. "Huh... Trainable?!" TO BE WHAT? YOUR LITTLE GUINEA PIG?

Nooooooooooooo, sir.

Oh, the face. Theodore tucked his hand under his sleeve and wiped it all away on it. Snaaaaaaap, now his robes had a brown smear all up it. Theo sighed but didn't take it too seriously. Just chocolate. "Gone?" He posed with a grin.

"Why don't you want to be one?" Even though he thought of them as goodie-goodies, Theodore would accept a position in a heartbeat. Just to be that little bit higher than everybody else. "Hello, Mordred." Mordred.... Sounded like a right scary name. No wonder he was in Slytherin.

"COURSE I DOOOOOOO." Ptolemy... He hadn't gotten that one yet. He looked at his own card and he flipping got Godric Gryffindor. For the seven-hundredth time.

Ah. "You can come to mine for part of the holidays if you want." she suggested. "Mother keeps pestering me to bring people over." Then she added "And she wasn't too impressed with my half blood boyfriend... I'm sure she'd let you stay."

Aurora giggled, "It's good to meet another chocolate lover." she said as Theodore took the frog. He was very enthusiastic.

"Hey, careful. One of them is my boyfriend." For now... "And Sierra won't take kindly to being called annoying." Haha, Aurora would love to see someone get on the wrong side of Prefect Sierra... Not this kid though, she liked him.

"Theodore's a great name!" It really was, she'd seen one of those muggle films with a guy called Theodore in it last time she had been at Rufin's and had fallen in love with the name. "It'd be a good name for a superhero.... Or villain." she added.

His gaze moved over to someone who called over to him while he stood there against the wall. A half smile curved up one corner of his lips as he strode over to the group that had gathered. "Hey."

Chelsea was jealous at Butterfly's herbology skills, a class which she herself was horrible at. "Well lets just say I had a very...well unpredictable summer, but the first half of it was great. It was nice to be home, but it feels even better to be here" she said with a smile.

Kennedy returned from the library exhausted. His tie hung loose around his neck and his sleeves were rolled up to his elbows. He had been reading about dragons and their scale use. It intrigued him the many uses of it and frankly, he wanted a pet dragon.

If he asked his father, would he get him one? The man was trying to buy Kennedy's attention so...yeeeeah. Hmm, he would have to try that one.

He sat down and set the book he brought with him on the seat beside him. He would read that before going to bed. Kennedy stared at the soft flames in the fireplace and his eyes began to droop.

Angelina frowned a little with Zhenya and said, "Thats to bad. I'd love to see a photo when you get on though." She then turned her frown upside down into a smile.

Nodding Angelina said, "I staid in a little wizard town there, but I hardly ever went into the muggle world. I went like maybe once? But the wizarding world and the muggle world are totally different." Angelina then took another biscuit and ate one more.

"I can't believe it. Seems just like yesterday was first year," Angelina told Zhenya.

Smiling Angelina nodded and said, "Yes, I'm a third year." Was Chelsea one as well? "Are you in third year as well?" Normally she wouldn't ask a thing like thing incase someone was way older than a certain year, and maybe get offended.

Oh. There was a little shortie who just called out her name. Actually, how did she know her name? Eavesdropping of course. It was rude to eavesdrop though she did it herself. All the time. "Do you eavesdrop for a living?" seriously did she? That might have been a bit rude what she said. "Hi Addie." she said with not a huge grin on her face. The girl was a midget. Wow she had never seen someone as short as her.

His fellow house mates seemed to be having a great time. His first days at Hogwarts was turning out to be great. He stretched maybe it was time to make his way to the first year's boys dorms. The fire was so nice though so he tried to find an empty spot near the crackling, warm fireplace so that he could sit and feel the heat. He wanted it to warm his bones.

Addie laughed at the girls comment. She was just like Addie, naming everyone by what they were doing. "Awesome Addie," she said in reply. "I'm a fifth year? What year are you in?" This was so much fun just sitting in the common room and saying hi to everyone who walked in, she could live doing this.

"Hi Mister no name," Addie exclaimed since the boy didn't bother introducing himself. That wouldn't stop her though. "I'm Addie, fifth year, awesomely short Slytherin." There another introduction. Addie must have introduced herself to at least five people in that one common room.


Addie just about feel out of her chair laughing. This girl was hilarious, she was going to get to know the girl for sure. "No, it's just useful when you are in a common room and everyone is introducing themselves," Addie explained. She rarely ever eavesdropped at home, except for her parents when they were debating on stuff that considered Addie. "How are you?" Addie asked trying to draw away from the fact that she was eavesdropping, it wasn't necessarily something she was proud of.

"Yeah, I'm sure it will be an exciting year" she blonde smiled. Every year something odd always seemed to happen, she doubted it would be any different this year.

Knew it. It was hard to forget a face...maybe a name, but not a face. "Yes, I am too" she answered. "Time is going by so fast, isn't it?" said the blonde. It seemed like not long ago she was being sorted. Now she was in her third year with only four more to go. Wow time flew by.

Thats what Angelina thought, Chelsea was in the same year as her. Nodding she said, "It is crazy. I remember clearly being a first year." She then went off thinking about the day in first year. She was much different from the time she started Hogwarts. Although every year Angelina seemed to change.

Mr no mame? Ok, well he could have said his name but hadn't. "I'm Isaac, 6th year, erm incredibly tall Slytherin." More true then he wished, but well you can't exactly choose your own height. Plopping himself down in one of the chairs nearby, he smiled over at her. Meh, what should they talk about...please not school! Hmmm, "So where are ye from?"

"Nice to meet you Addie" the blonde smiled. This girl seemed much like her, very bubbly and easy to get along with.

"I'm a third year" she answered. Yeah. Though it seemed like only yesterday she was being sorted. Well thats just what happened here, time flew by. "I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new?" asked Chelsea. Normally she wouldn't ask, you know incase of offending people, but she was curious. Sometimes it got the best of her.

Crazy yes. "I know. I think back to first year then look at myself now and realize how much I've changed. Its so crazy" she said. Yes she had changed a lot but she didn't think it was in a bad way. This year she finally realized she was sorted in the right house. Finally, she was becoming more Slytherin-ish.

"So did you have a good summer?" she asked Angelina. She must have asked this to at least five people tonight. Whatever, it was a good conversation starter, anyway summer was supposed to be fun, right?

Zhenya nodded and said "I'll definitely show you! They have big brown eyes and Brown curly hair, and they both have dimples!" she said. She thought they were the cutest things ever!

"Oh... Was the wizard town much different from our Wizard towns?" she asked. In Russia it was very cold and her Grandparents lived around Muggles, which was a challenge for such a talented Herbologist with such a huge garden, with plants that weren't even able to usually survive under the Russian climate. Neighbours were a big suspicious!

Zhenya laughed in agreement, "It feels weird being the... older group of the younger group." Next year they would be in their middle year, and they would be the younger ones of the older bunch.

Smiling she said, "Yes my summer was pretty good." She didn't do too much different things, it was just busy at the places she was going. "How was your summer," she asked her.

Angelina laughed and said, "Sounds so cute! I remember when my brother was born." She was very young, but it angered her how smarter she was compared to her brother from the age difference.

She thought back to when she was in Spain. "From the wizard towns there is the basic town where you would get stuff like Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley. Also there is neighborhoods were wizards live." Angelina paused and thought more about it, "From everything else, it wasn't too different then our towns. It seemed more like English towns but with a little Spanish in it." ... if that made sense.

Angelina laughed and said, "That is what I thought as well! I'm glade to almost be out of the younger group and heading towards the older group." With the younger group and the older group seemed to keep to themselves. first, second and third years together and fifth, sixth and seventh together. Then there is fourth year. They seemed to be a mix from the two groups. But that is how Angelina saw it.

Selena looked at the blond boy, nodding her head and trying to associate him with a fruit. Nothing was coming to mind yet. He didn't look like a mango. Maybe he was a coconut? Hm... "Can I call you Coconut?" It was a totally normal question to ask someone.

She kicked her legs back and forth, petting the pygmy puff on her head. Selena didn't like to eat apples. Why was he eating it when it was obvious that the feast was over? Did he not eat enough? Was he lost as to where the kitchens were? It seemed so.

And what was that frown for?!

"Darnit." Selena muttered. What was with tall people and saying no? "What if I gave you a chocolate frog?"

Selena waved at the girl, bright smile on her face. "Hello girl I don't know!" she replied cheerfully. The girl looked kinda... sad. Did the girl not smile? Was she upset? "Are you sad?" Selena asked. The girl looked like a Raspberry. That would be what she'd call the girl. It made perfect sense. She'd have to ask first of course. Clarke the cruppy seemed to enjoy sniffing the girl's shoe though and just nuzzled the girl. "Clarke doesn't bite!" Selena offered. Unless you tasted like shoes.

The Slytherin girl smiled at the girl all while she shook her head. "I am not going to be held responsible for what happens to one's cat or kneazle when it gets near my pygmy puff." End of that story. She didn't careeeee if the cat said it wouldn't eat Kent. They would. And it would not be Selena's fault if the cat was tossed out of the common room. Or the dormitories. Or into the Great Lake.

And this girl liked to talk. A lot. "I'm the awesomer short person though, okay?" Selena told the girl. Because only Selena was allowed to be the uber short, uber awesome person. "I like chocolate, and talking. Climbing is dangerous." And scary when you got too high up.

"I'm SEEEELLLLEEEEENNNNAAAA, head girl, awesometastical, future ruler of this universe and all others." And you couldn't copy that. That was her introduction. And right after the girl told Selena her name, she'd name the girl after a fruit. Like... Guava or something.

Selena smiled at the girl, continuing to kick her legs back and forth. Her feet didn't touch the ground!! Hehe. "Obviously! I get to see all the PRETTY people." And by pretty people she meant all the Slytherins. And all the cool people. All the cool people were also Slytherin. Duh.

The girl didn't have permission to touch the king of all pygmy puff's best friend!! But she'd let it slide. for now "HAI YOU!" Selena chirped. Because she didn't know the girl's name yet. Though the girl did seem like a citrus fruit of sorts. Hmm... Names... "I had an awesome summer. I can use magic now! Outside of school! That's like... SO COOL!" Selena said beaming from ear to ear. Obviously she had forgotten that a few times but she could still use it which was what counted.

"Hellooooo Chelsea, I'm Selena, can I call you grapefruit?" Because it sounded cool.

Sierra knew she shouldn't have these butterflies in her stomach. She shouldn't, but she did. She'd never been this nervous around Kennedy Escalante, but then again, she never really talked to him when they weren't with a large group of people. What was she saying? She wasn't even talking to him now. She'd just come up from the girls' dormitory and seen him sitting halfway across the room.

Finally, she decided to at least walk over and take a seat nearby. Maybe she'd talk. Maybe she wouldn't. Maybe she'd just let Kennedy fall asleep, and then she wouldn't have to worry about it. No. She was no Hufflepuff, and she'd so the Slytherin thing and walk up and talk to him. "Take it easy, Prefect," she joked, taking the seat next to him. "You're not letting them wear you out this early in the year, are you?"

At the sound of a familiar voice Kennedy sat up quickly almost as if he'd been shocked. Was he already dozing off? It was still early. Man, he was getting old. He looked up and found it was Sierra that had spoken to him. He grinned at her sheepishly for getting caught almost falling asleep.

"No, I'm just growing old," he said with a bit of humor in his voice. It wasn't his housemates wearing him out. Heck, if it had been that he'd handle it with ease. It was other things that stressed him out and in order not to think of those things he tried to wear himself out so when it was bed time he'd just pass out.

He took the book he had set next to him and placed it over his lap. "How's it going, being Prefect and all?" he asked.

Could she call him.. WHAT?

Every girls that he had met in here, they liked to give him a silly nicknames. Giant, Rushman..

and now COCONUT?

"But.. why Coconut?" Why not apple.. EH? No! The blonde guy never approved anyone to call him by those silly nicknames. Pffftt...

And now, she offered him chocolate. Gary Rush never ate any kind of sweets; including chocolate. "Thank you very much.." he said politely. "but I don't eat sweets."

The girl looked as though she liked what she said. It wasn't much trouble making people like you, just act FUN. And then being fun always made you happy. The way life was meant to be lived. "Wonderful" she smirked. She NEVER smirked and it was actually pretty fun smirking. Heh. Smirk.Enough with the smirking it got tiring.

Maybe she should have called out something before. SHE SHOULD HAV. Why didn't she do it. Head Smack. "And hi everyone! I'm..." she paused for a second. "What ever you want to call me as long as I approve."

Realizing she'd startled her co-prefect awake, Sierra grinned then slowly started to laugh a little under her breath. "You better tighten up, Prefect Escalante. I hear you're trying out for the Quidditch team this year?" she said, turning toward him a little. If it was true, then this was promising news. For Sierra, at least. "Are you any good?" she asked.

She sat back and got herself comfortable. "It's going pretty good," she said, commenting on what he'd asked about prefectship. "I have a good partner, after all." She passed him a rare smile. This was all just random, everyday talk. She wanted to get to know him more. Specifically, was he still dating Aurora? "So, how many years does this make for you and Aurora?" One? Two? Didn't matter anymore?

Yeah. She'd jumped right into that conversation.

Oh yeah, Quidditch. Kennedy had almost forgotten about that. He signed up thinking that it wouldn't hurt to try it. He loved the sport with a passion, so why not actually be a part of it. He nodded as his cheeks tinted red. Great. He was doing it again and she was going to point it out like last time. How he wished his face had an ON and OFF switch. The thing was that Kennedy hadn't told anyone and wanted to keep it down low, but that was impossible. Anyone could see the sign up sheet.

"I don't know," he said, answering her question of him being any good at Quidditch. "I've played with my friend and his family back home, but other than that I have no real experience." And it was EMBARRASSING. He's seen Sierra out on the field and she was pretty amazing out there. Zooming from here to there. The entire team was awesome.

Kennedy attempted to hide the grin that tugged at his lips. He wasn't too shabby. He was an okay Prefect, but he still had lots to learn and prove. Especially to some people. At the mention of Aurora's name his heart felt like it had sunk and he hated it. He hated that her name had such influence on one of his most vital organs. Kennedy bit his lip and suddenly the fireplace became the most important thing in the room. "Um, we had a year and seven months," he said. It felt strange how everything Aurora related was now referred as past tense.
