Selena continued to put jellybeans in her mouth. The pygmy puff shuddered slightly and Selena turned her head towards the ground to see her crup still chewing on the shoes. Clarke must really like that shoe. She did see someone crawling around though. Why was the person crawling? Selena didn't get it.

She turned her head back to face the ceiling and dropped another few more beans into her mouth.

What the?

"Clarke isn't crazy!" Selena said, sitting straight up and causing Kent to roll onto the floor. Selena quickly picked up her pygmy puff before her crup decided to lick the creature. And she stared at her crup. What was she supposed to see?

She didn't get it.

What was Asher talking about?

"Clarke's chewing on someone's shoe."

Obviously.

Theodore lingered in the entrance of the common room, and let out an incredibly audible sigh. He was attention seeking. But no one had appeared to take notice. Pouting, the boy went to the fireplace, where he sprawled himself over the rug, in a star fish position. Facing down.

The poor thing was tired, after a day of pretty much doing nothing.

Just being awesome, he guessed.

Yes. Being awesome was a job, and Theo was good at it. Muehehe. Ohmygod, he wanted chocolate.

Aurora walked into the common room from the dorms, a chocolate frog in each hand. She was so BORED today... Then she noticed they had a new rug in the common room... a Theodore shaped rug.

She walked over and hopped onto a sofa near Theodore, chucking a chocolate frog at him and opening the other one. "Cheer up." she said, biting the frogs head off and throwing the card at him too. She didn't even check who was on the card.

And it didn't take long. Theodore was asleep.

SNOOOORE......... JUST WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?

Someone was trying to kill him in his sleep? Is that the punishment he gets for sleeping in public? Excuse HIM for thinking the common room was a safe place. PSSHHT. He sat up and examined the chocolate frog box lying on the floor.

Was that a gift from God?

He looked up, and no, it was Aurora. And she certainly was no God.

"I'm perfectly cheery." He smiled, showing off his teeth, not noticing her chuck a card at him. Oh, straight on the head. He frowned, but picked it up to look.

LE GASP. Theodore's eyes widened and he almost screamed at the rare card, "MERLIN'S BEARD, FINALLY!" ....But then he remembered where he was and who he was with. "I mean... psht, got this one billions of times." Yea, Aurora wasn't getting this one back.

"SO..... how are you, my favourite old person?" O_O What did he just call her?

He was perfectly cheery? Good. She wouldn't want to see any of her favourite little firsties in a bad mood. Because then she'd have to get all angry and protective and sort. it. out. But he wasn't sad. So it was all good.

Aurora raised an eyebrow at Theodore's eyes widening. He'd had it billions of times had he? Then why did his eyes suggest otherwise? "Really? Who is it?" she asked, interested. "Don't worry, I wouldn't take it back." Though if it was worth anything he should probably hide it from some of the other collectors... Hehe.

Favourite? Well duh. Old? No. "I'm... alright." she wasn't going to bore Theodore with teenage drama... "And how are you, my favourite little person?" Hehehe.

Not telling yooooooooooou.

"It's only... Godric Gryffindor." He lied, then tucked it into his pocket. Now she wouldn't be able to get to it without physically touching him. And Theodore wouldn't stand for that touchy-nonsense now, would he? It was actually Herpo the Foul. Who was apparently an evil bugger.

Theo didn't care. He could get some SRS chocolate frogs in exchange for him. WOOOOOT.

She was... all right? Theodore raised an eyebrow at her un-enthusiasm. "Are ya suuuuuure?" He asked, all annoyingly and probing-like.

"I'm GOOD." He said, ignoring the 'little person' thing completely. Theo was no hobbit >__< But he was also in no mood to argue. "Just trying to cope with Hufflepuffs. Is it just me, or are they EVERYWHERE?"

Literally... Everwhere. He looked over his shoulder automatically.

But wait... this was the common room. He could escape the puffs in here. PHEW.

"Oh, right." Hmmm, she didn't believe him. But then again - she didn't care too much. It wasn't like she collected them anyway. She'd just wondered how much he had to be in her debt now. Hehe.

Oh... He didn't believe her did he? "Nope, I'm not okay. But I'll deal with it..." she said, rubbing her temples slightly - that seemed to help every time she started thinking about what was going on... it prevented the headache. Sort of.

Aurora laughed at his next comment. Hufflepuffs everywhere? "I'm sure it's not that bad." she said with a grin, reaching into her pocket for another chocolate frog and... not finding one. Awww... now she kind of regretted giving that one to Theodore - though she did have some in the dorms... but that was MILES away!

Mooooooving on... Theodore smiled reassuringly, but decided to comment no further. He had gotten away with that one quite nicely.

Oh noes! "What's the matteeeer, Aurora?!" He demanded to know, despite knowing that he would be rubbish at giving any life advice. Maybe she just needed someone to rant to. Theo was a good kind of kid for that kinda thing. Like a punch bag. Sigh. He fumbled in his pockets and found a loose Fizzing Whizbee.

Err... he offered it to her, with wandering eyes. Merlin knows how long that had been in his pocket.

"You don't understaaaaaand. They are EVERYWHERE. They keep following me around, one of them is in LOVE with me... and... and... Aurora, do I smell like a Hufflepuff?"

Or maybe he just had that milkshake that brought all the puffs to the yard.

What's the matter..? Did he really want to know..? He was only eleven after all... "I broke up with my boyfriend." she said, crossing her legs. "He cheated on me." Well... that was that. She didn't think she should go into it with Theodore.

She grinned as he offered her a fizzing whizbee but shook her head, "Thanks but... I'm okay." she said with a chuckle. She didn't trust anything that came from the depths of a boy's pockets.

Aurora smirked slightly... "In love with you? You know... you can use that to your advantage." she suggested, raising her eyebrows. Did he smell like one..? Aurora made a big show of sniffing around Theodore. "You know what, I think you do!" she teased, a look of horror on her face. "Ewwww."

... Whaattt? Wasn't she allowed to tease the first years..?

She broke up with her boyfriend? Theo didn't know she had a boyfriend, so he was learning two new bits of information today, yup. "Oh, why?" He asked, twirling the fizzing whizbee along his fingers. "Having no boyfriend or girlfriends is always best, I think. You have friends instead, and they are way funner. You have MEEEEEee......" As a friend.

Though, Aurora was extremely cool so maybe she COULD be his girlfriend. Theo considered this for a second.

Okay. He wasn't surprised at her denial. Feeling too heartless to throw it away, Theo popped it into his mouth and eh... maybe a little bit stale but it still did it's sugary job.

"Well.." He paused, to swallow. "I say that they are in love with me. They always deny it, but I can see it in their eyes. They look AT ME like they love me, you know?" Aurora was experienced with boyfriends so he expected her to KNOW.

"I DO?! I SMELL LIKE A HUFFLEPUFF?"

SWEEEEEEET LORD ABOVE. "I need to roll around in something Slytheriny." Professor Lafay! Yes, he would roll around next to Professor Lafay.

Why? Ha. "Because he was a selfish, lying, stupid, uncaring, heartless... idiot." she said, stopping herself from saying anything else. After all - she didn't want poor Theodore to have to deal with her being all stressy and upset. She nodded, "Good! I'd much rather have you than any stupid boyfriend." she said with a giggle. Yep, Theodore was much more entertaining than any stupid older boy. Besides, he seemed to genuinely like her - rather than liking her for her appearance like most older guys apparently did... heh...

Eww... he was actually eating that..? Boys! Oh well, didn't look like he was going to be dying from it any time soon so that was alright.

"That's always the way." Aurora said, taking on her I'm-a-wise-older-person-soyoushouldlistentome demeanor that she was developing recently. "Who wouldn't be in love with a Slytherin, anyway?" Mhhmmmmmm?! "I know exactly what you mean." she agreed - in regards to the seeing-it-in-their-eyes thing...

Aurora somehow managed to keep her look of mock disgust despite wanting to burst into fits of laughter and stood up. "Wait!" she said, taking out her wand. "I know a spell to get rid of that!" She pointed her wand at Theodore, knowing full well that there wasn't a spell for it and that he didn't even smell like a Hufflepuff... "Huffle-us expellus now-us!" she said, waving her wand manically. She put it away and edged closer, sniffing as she went. "I think it worked." she said, a serious face on.

Wow, those were a lot of negative adjectives. "What a pooper stink ball." Yea, that was a good addition. Theo was curious to press Aurora furthur on this, but not too far. "Who is the butthead?" That's all he wanted to know, yep. Theodore BEAAAAAMED, "Okay, then! That means you can be my valentine. Not really, though. But I need a valentine to look cool, and you're a girl so..." Yea....

That sweet left an aftertaste. BLeck.

Forget the whole 'who would not love a Slytherin' thing, "Who wouldn't be in love with ME?" Cos Theo was adorable. He told himself so in the mirror every day. SEE? She did know what he meant. Theo nodded.

Look at them both. Chatting like a pair of slumber partying girls....

Wand work?! NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo...... "IHOPEYOUKNOWWHATYOU'REDO--" Was that a made up spell, or? Theo opened his just scrunched up eyes. Lifting up his arms, the first year sniffed underneath his pits. Eh, still smelled the same to him.

Then again... he did smell a hint of strawberry.

"Oh, it WORKED. Thanks, Aurora. You're good at magicking."

Aurora laughed at Theo's comment. "Yeah, he really is." she agreed. Part of her wanted to go on a long lecture about how Theodore better not turn out anything like Milton but she got the feeling he wouldn't quite appreciate it... Hehe. Butthead? That inspired yet another giggle from Aurora. "Milton, Milton Shacklebolt. He's a Ravenclaw beater." she explained. Yep. And when Slytherin played Ravenclaw Theo better make Milton look rubbish. Hehe. Valentine? Haha! "I'd be honoured, Theodore!"

Who wouldn't be in love with him? "Only a fool." she agreed with a nod. Well, he was adorable. And she was sure he'd turn into a heartthrob when he was older.

Of COURSE she knew what she was doing!! "Don't worry, you're in safe hands!" she said, twirling her wand between her fingers. Of course he was safe - the spell wasn't even real. She wouldn't actually cast a spell on him though, that could go very wrong... Hehehe.

She chuckled as he proclaimed it worked, there was no use telling him that he didn't smell any different so she just nodded, "I know, I'm sure you will be too one day." Yep, all it required was practice!

It was good that she had accepted the pooper stink person as a pooper stink ball. Cos Theo knew how bipolar girls were, so she COULD'VE gotten all defensive about said pooper stink ball. "A RAVENCLAW BEATER?" PFFFT, Theo hated him already. Cos he hated Ravenclaws, and he hated beaters that had control over those bludgers. "Ewwwwwww."

YAAAAY. He had a VALENTINE! Theo stifled a blush, and decided to offer her a fist bump instead. Much better than say... a HUG...

"Thank you. You're very honest." He said with a firm nod.

"I only trust you cos you're old." He hadn't thought about what he just said until it had all come out... Eh... Aurora hadn't minded the old comments before, so he was sure his adorable face would get him away with it.

"I hope so. I mean, I am awesome at broomsticking, but magicking is a bit harder, I think..." He pondered, "I can't even do simple stuff like the fire-throwing spell... or the water-throwing spell."

Aurora laughed at Theodore's reaction - seriously, she was pretty sure this kid could make her laugh in any situation. Maybe he should be a comedian someday. "I know! Disgusting right? I don't know what I was thinking!" she said, nodding her head. To be honest, she really didn't know what she had been thinking... Milton wasn't right for ANYONE. Let alone her.

Haha! Fist bump? Sure why not. She returned the bump, her hand looking a little silly balled into a fist with her recently painted nails and her dainty little snake ring. But anything for her valentine. Hehehe.

Honest..? Umm... "Not always." she said with a smirk. Sometimes lying was necessary...

Aurora's eyebrow raised a tiny bit as he called her old... again. But then, she supposed when she was a first year everyone seemed old to her so she didn't blame him. That didn't mean he should trust her though, because she wasn't exactly a trustworthy person... not all the time.

Broomsticking? Magicking? Something in Aurora wanted to correct him and teach him to say it properly but she actually liked the way he made things simple. "I don't know - I hate flying." she said with a shrug. "But I'm not too good at magic sometimes either..." she added.

Looking around for any sign of, well, anyone she might need to avoid, Emmanuelle snuck into the Slytherin Common Room. While she may have decided that staying out of the room, or even the house altogether was growing ridculious, she still didn't want to encounter anyone who may or may not still be angry with her over a certain little confrontation and subsequent Quibbler article. Not that she'd had anything to do with said article. Nope, she'd never even heard of the gossip rag until that had come out.

Not seeing the people she was hoping to avoid, she relaxed. It seemed she wasn't going to be in for another confrontation, at least not tonight. Phew. Emmanuelle made her way over to one of the comfy chairs and slumped into it. Sighing, she lifted her bag and emptied out it's contents on the table right in front of her, making a lot of noise while she was at it. Hmm, didn't remember THAT being in there... she thought as her favorite nail polish rolled off the table. Anyway, back to the task at hand. Cleaning the stupid thing out. Yep, that was why she'd emptied her bag on the table. It was full of textbooks, broken quills, used up ink bottles and, surprisingly enough (if you didn't know her, that was) smashed cookies and candy. It was a wonder any of her textbooks survived...

Cassia entered the common room after a long walk around the school. The curious first year was determined to memorize all the schools pathways. Although it was almost the end of term but she still got lost in certain sections.Well, she didn't wanna get to the second year that way, did she?

Taking a general look around and chose a chair and sat down. She leaned back on it closing her eyes..she was really tired but she wasn't just going to go to the dormitory. So many things have been going on around in the school. And she couldn't afford missing any of it.

Losing herself in the silence of the common room, a loud noise erupted! Her eyes flew open and her head turned to the source of the racket automatically. It was a girl, absolutely older than her... emptying her bag! Couldn't she find a better place. Well, it's the common room after all not the dormitory. Cassia got up and headed toward the girl...Why? Because she was sitting alone and so was that girl and because that's what Cassia does.

Stepping closer to the girl, Cassia grinned widely and said, "Hi, What are you doing?" She asked her eyes are gleaming with the light of curiosity as usual. She sat down on the floor besides the girl. She was small she could fit anywhere!

Uh, seriously?! What did it look like she was doing? People didn't just dump their bags unless they were cleaning them out, did they? But rather than waste her breath trying to explain all of that to the obviously younger and clueless girl, Emmanuelle just decided on wit. "Digging for worms," she replied drily. There, let's just see if the girl got sarcasm. If not, well it wasn't her problem...

And why was the girl sitting on the floor? Beside her? Emmanuelle clearly hadn't asked her to. So why take such liberties? "Don't you think you'd be more comfortable in a chair?" Like over where you were?

Contnuing her cleaning, she started three separate piles: one for stuff she needed to keep, stuff she needed to keep in her bag and stuff that could be thrown away. First up and going into the throw away pile, was any broken quill she could find.

Cassia's eyes lit with excitement, "That's cool!, What kind of worms exactly?" she asked. "But shouldn't you be using gloves or something, I mean it of course depends on the kind of worms you're digging for, why don't we just be careful.Wouldn't want to take any risks." She said and took a deep breath after speaking such a long sentence. The first year got on her knees and motioned to herself, "I'm Cassia by the way, no need to shake my hand considering you're using them," She said, "I don't like to distract anyone." She grinned!

Now that was TRUE.

The Sytherin looked at the closest chair and shook her, "Nah..It's far way and I don't think I can move it closer. We don't want some prefect to come and start playing bossy on us, do we?" Now the girl wasn't a prefect ,was she?

Watching the girl continuing her job, "Do you need any help?" but where were the worms thought Cassia.

*blink*

Was this girl FOR REAL?! Her, Emmanuelle Zoèy Moreau, digging for worms?! In her BAG!? She couldn't decide rather to faceplam or just ignore the girl. Finally, she just decided on setting the girl straight. "Well, Cassia, I have real second hand embarrassment for you right now. Anyone else would be able to tell that I am, in fact, not digging for worms, but instead am cleaning out my bag." Yep. True facts. The mind boggles at how this girl could miss that.

And had she ASKED the girl to move closer? Oi. Facepalming internally. "Ninety-nine problems and a prefect ain't one." But this girl and a messy bag were two of them right now. Oi, times two. "I really think you misunderstood me when I suggested a seat..." She let that sentence trail off and stared pointedly at a chair across the room. Emmanuelle didn't take help from clueless people...

Cleaning her bag, yeah that would make more sense actually. Guess the girl has a sense of humor, that's good Cassia likes such people. Well,the girl seemed to be a biiit upset too, the girl..."By the way what's your name??" She asked, she also wanted to ask her about her year but let's not bother the girl she thought to herself. After all the last thing Cassia would like to do is make people get annoyed by her.

Absolutely not!

No, it really seems that the girl needs someone to talk to, lucky her Cassia is here, "Ninety nine problems? What are they?" She wondered, "Well, you don't have to count them all that would take a lot of time! Just the most bugging you." She told her getting closer and resting her arms on the chair's arm to hear better, Again being a small girl helps a lot! "Oh and forget about the seat, I'm really comfortable this way, it's ok you can talk to me about what's bothering you." She said adjusting her arms.

Was this girl being deliberatly dense? Or could she just really just not read people that well? Emmanuelle knew better than to try sarcasm again, seeing as the girl just does not get it like a lot of things obviously, so she tried honesty this time. Or at least, a small bit of it. "Emmanuelle Moreau. Most people just call me Ms. Moreau." There. If the girl was insistent that she was going to annoy her, she could at least be polite about it. That and Em had always thought it would be funny to see if she could get someone besides a professor to call her that.

"It's a figure of speech. You know, like when people say that it's so hot outside that you could fry an egg on the sidewalk," she replied, clearly exsasperated now. Seriously, what were people teaching their kids these days? That you can win people over by annoying them? Or was it just this child? Is that the way they do things in her culture? Well, not in France, honey. "Don't be stupid. It's really not a good color on you." Really, really not a good color.

Cassia raised an eyebrow at the girl, Why would people call her that? "Ok Moreau,nice to meet you," She nodded. If the girl wanted to be called by her last name BIG DEAL! Cassia is really flexible and cool.

The first year considered what the older girl said , "Mmm...I see.... like metaphors." She confirmed. Hopefully Cassia didn't look like a stupid girl...Nah she sure did't it happens all the time; people not understanding each other's hints. Besides, Emmanuelle seemed to be a nice girl...Nice with swinging mood.


Again..A figure of speech, Cassia thought, "Well, if you don't want to talk about what's bugging you ,that's totally fine by me." She told Emmanuelle, "Maybe we could talk about something else," She said as she rubbed her chin, "Mmm.....Like how have you passing your time outside classes?!" The young Slytherin suggested. Here that should make her feel easier!

Oi. Just... oi. Emmanuelle sighed as she corrected the girl, "MS. Moreau. I did say the MS. didn't I?" Anyway, it didn't matter. Nope, what mattered was getting her bag cleaned out. And maybe getting the annoying firstie off her back. She picked up her wallet that had fallen out when she dumped her bag on the table When had that gotten in there? and slipped it the back pocket of her jeans before picking though for anything else that didn't really belong but wasn't trash.

"Yeah, exactly like a metaphor. If a metaphor was meant to be an off-handed joke," she said, rolling her eyes. Translation: she didn't really have problems. Except now. In the form of a persistant little first year. Oi. Note to self: Young English children are very dense. No jokes, no sarcasm allowed.

And yet her sarcasm was wanting to make a comeback. I watch t.v.! were the words itching to come out of her mouth. But nope, Em managed to quash those words. "I run, do a bit of cardo, read. Not like there's much else to do in this school..." Not like home, where they had non-Quidditch sports like soccer and tennis and the like.

The girl was just being moody, Lucky her Cassia was the kind of girl who could stand all kind of people and the girl wasn't that bad. Besides it was either talking to her, or sitting alone. And Cassia totally didn't like sitting alone, So she wanna be called Miss she'll get what she wants.

Crossing her legs and making herself comfortable instead of leaning on her knees Cassia turned back to the girl, "So MS.Moreau.." She stressed on the miss part, "You like running I see, I do too! I usually run around the lake." She said, "Where do you run?" She asked.

The first year nodded, there wasn't really much things to be done here at school. It's one of the things that concerned her when she first moved to Hogwarts, "Yeah I read too!" She agreed.
